IWTV S2 Ep8 Musings - Loumand (Spoilers)

This was so effed up, wow; I'm FURIOUS with Armand, even though I've been expecting this from him since Season 1. Cuz the ish he said just never lined up right; the most unreliable narrator's been Armand the whole time! Louis' brain is scrambled, but at least he's SINCERE. But THIS mofo has been deliberately LYING since JUMP.

Longest divorce proceedings ever--took 77 years, dang. Armand said it was the night Madeleine was turned--Mr. They Gave Me A Choice. I Chose. But that's a effing lie, too!

Cuz in Ep6, BEFORE Louis even told Armand he was gonna turn Madz, Santiago was busy committing all those "strange crimes reported;" climbing the Eiffel Tower to wake up Lestat, and breaking into cinemas to steal their color film reels for the Trial's projector.

They threw Sam under the bus as if HE wrote effed up Trial script--but THIS was when they actually started writing it--with ARMAND's input & direction.

But I'm jumping ahead.

WTF is going on here?! O_O Is this a human the Theatre keeps around for the plays, zoned out so they stay alive until they're on stage? So Armand's punishment is the shame of having to feed the "cattle"? And HOW MANY nights was Lou in there? :(

Louis was locked up for over a MONTH!? 😨 While Armand just SAT THERE?!

I don't like the whole "you should fear the other one--" only for Raglan to be like SOS GET OUT OF THERE NOW. Didn't Raglan know Armand was lying his arse off? Or was it misdirection--fear Louis' retribution when he busts a cap in Armand's lying arse?

Favourite Season: S1 for being iconic and nostalgic, but S4 for Kinnetik (in a bathhouse I can’t with Brian!), and Britin overcoming cancer together. <3

Least favourite Season: S2 for Mikey constantly whining over Brian, even after he had amazing boyfriends (first David, then Ben), like get over him already. But nope, Mikey stayed salty all the way up to S3, like omfg.

Favourite episode: S5E11. THE PROPOSAL. “You bought this palace!?” “For my prince.“ GAAAAAHHH. KILL ME DEAD whydontcha.

Favourite scene: S5E12, seeing everyone’s reaction to the marriage announcement--I was HOLLERING!

Favourite storyline: Everything Britin related. People have tried to tell me Michael was the main character, and I'm like HOW? o_O He’s the narrator, sure, but the story clearly focused more on Britin, come on.

Least favourite storyline: The Pink Posse (S4). It was an excellent storyline, but my heart hurt! Justin was in so much pain, and it sucked that Hobbs pretty much got off scott free when Justin could’ve been KILLED. I didn’t want Justin to end up doing something he’d deeply regret, so the entire time I was just scared to death for him.

Story arc you would’ve changed and how: I would’ve either given Daphne more relevance, or just given Justin another friend his own age. Someone he could talk to candidly about stuff; who wasn’t Mikey or Debbie or Brian; who wouldn’t be jealous of him (Mikey); or tease him for being so much younger (Teddy/Emmett); or not understand his experiences (Daphne).

Headcanons for after 5x13/interpretation of the ending: Eff that ending. Brian sold the loft and their “palace” and went to NYC with Justin; and turned Kinnetic Inc. into a chain, with Teddy and that woman (I forget her name) running the Pittsburg branch for him. It would be hard, but they’d made it work with the power of love gosh darnit. Britin for life!

Character developments you enjoyed or didn’t:

Enjoyed: Mikey and Ben being together, and them raising Hunter. I hope they ended up adopting more kids, since Jenny-Rebecca’s all the way up in Canada. Mikey’s a big kid himself, and Ben’s such a sweetheart, so I love the idea of them having a huuuuge family.

Didn’t: I loved Emmett with Georgie and with Drew, but I haaaaaaaated him and Teddy together. Quite possibly my least favorite part of the entire show; it felt so wrong and forced. And i didn’t like that the ending just randomly hooked him up with that guy at the ski lodge or wherever they were, as if Emmett’s story can’t finish without him being with someone, anyone, quick! It felt a bit cheap, considering everyone else’s relationships got really great fleshed out story arcs. I’m just mad he didn’t end up with Drew, even if it was years later down the line when Drew could better handle being an out professional athlete. Like, first Georgie now this? U_U The series finale writers must’ve been on drugs or something. Not quite GoT S8, but close!
