Summary: How long had it been since they had let someone get this close? It had been a long time for sure. Too long, maybe. So long they had forgotten what it was like to have someone care, even if a little bit...

It was a normal day. A good day, even. Experiments had been successful and Valdemar had made progress on the most recent one, the evidence of that laying right under their hands as they poked and prodded at the lump of flesh. They smiled to themselves, enjoying the quiet athmosphere of the dungeons, the silence only broken by the occasional water droplet hitting the ground in the distance and the clicking of their instruments together. It was nice when things went smoothly, especially when 'things' were the routine. If they were honest with themselves, they appreciated their routine. Especially when nothing disturbed it...

Well.

Little did they know, it was about to be disturbed. They faintly heard hurried footsteps coming downstairs in the distance, and only raised a curious eyebrow at the noise, not looking up from their experiment. They heard the door to the operating hall open - almost too loudly - as well as the faint sound of panting. Only then did they turn around, slightly annoyed at being interrupted. Their annoyance ever so slightly faded when they noticed it was just Liam. They took a moment to observe him... He looked nervous, on edge, tense, which was rather unusual. But what was even stranger was the way he relaxed as he saw them, letting out what sounded like a relieved breath. They were slightly confused but figured he was fine enough. They were about to turn back to their experiment when they noticed the necromancer approaching.

"You have no idea how happy I am to see you."

He said, accompanied with yet another sigh, the tension slowly seeping out of his shoulders and body. The Quaestor blinked a few times. They were used to strange things, but this somehow sounded stranger than usual. They knew Liam had sort of a tender, friendly spot for them, but to see him actively relax in their presence left them... Confused, intrigued. They looked back at the necromancer, noticing both the relief and worry on his face.

"Are you now?" They replied, scrutinizing his gaze to try and find the source of this unusual behavior.

Liam nodded. "I had a... Weird dream. A bad dream."

Aaah, so that’s what it was. Oh well. Nothing to be alarmed about.

"You were there, too." Liam continued.

Mh?

"I was... I don’t know, breaking red chains and next thing I know you were... Turning to dust in my hands..."

...

Valdemar turned to look back at him. They had not missed the way Liam’s voice wavered towards the end, nor the spark of hurt in his eyes. It was clear the dream had affected him deeply, or at least enough for him to come down to the dungeons to... To check on them? This was just getting stranger and stranger.

"Nonsense."

They simply replied, briefly going back to their experiment.

"What a silly dream to have."

They mused. Of course, they knew what the dream meant. But they didn’t want Liam to know, if only for their own safety. Of course, the chances of this happening were low, lower than the depths of hell itself, but... Better safe than sorry.

A few moments of silence passed before the necromancer did something they really did not expect. As soon as they turned around, he captured them in an embrace. They barely had time to react. He squeezed them close, without a word. It seemed to have been an impulsive, emotion driven decision rather than a rational one, but it didn’t lessen Valdemar’s confusion. Their first reflex was to try and jerk away, however, they found themselves momentarily parylized, as if their mind had decided that 'wait. It’s not that bad.' This... Only confused them more. Their brows furrowed as they quickly attempted to analyze what was currently going on in their mind: confusion, surprise, a hint of repulsion and...

They blinked.

What was this last thing? This little spark of... Something. The way they felt Liam’s warmth seep through their clothes. The proximity. The way his hair kind of tickled theor cheek. It was... Warm.

The more they tried to analyze the feelingw the more confused they became. What was the meaning of all this? What... Were they feeling?

Meanwhile, the necromancer, oblivious to their internal struggle, continued to hold them just as tight. He felt his heart hammering in his chest, although he felt it start to calm down a bit. It had been... A long time since he'd hugged anyone. Even if so impulsively. A moment of weakness, he supposed... He wondered if he should let go. But then he felt the way the Quaestor relaxed, even if subtly. They weren’t protesting. Weren’t wriggling themselves out of his grasp... He loosened his own grip, realizing he might’ve come off as strange, wrong even. He sighed.

Valdemar was still trying to analyze their feelings, especially the foreign one, the one that was nagging at their chest, the one that made them relax, the one that made them realize this actually felt nice, the one that felt so foreign yet familiar. They let out a sigh of their own, realizing they wouldn’t be able to fight it off, or brush it aside. They tried desperately to keep up their cold, unfeeling facade, despite the subtle want to wrap their arms around the necromancer, too.

They didn’t know how long it lasted. But with every second that passed, they found that they almost enjoyed it. They wouldn’t allow themselves too. They wouldn’t outright admit it felt nice. They would refuse to acknowledge that yes, the fact Liam, after a nightmare where he had most probably killed them without realizing, was hugging them out of relief - because they were very much here, and in fact, not dead - didn’t leave them indifferent.

He cares.

The realization hit them like a ton of bricks. Of course they knew he was a little more attached to them than most. But...

He cares.

By the gods, he cares.

When was the last time someone had cared about them? Any memory of those times were deeply buried beneath layers of fog and devilish binds, and yet... Like a tenacious plant poking out of the barren, dried and harsh soil, a little feeling of comfort, a little emotion was there, nestled in their cold, dead heart. It was a mere speck. Not nearly enough to be qualified as a whole feeling, only the faint ghost of what once was human, but... It was there. They found themselves relaxing further, and decided to bask in the few more seconds of warmth Liam would give them.

When he pulled away, they regarded him for a moment. He was almost avoiding their gaze, but they could clearly make out the relief and emotion in his eyes, signs of his own internal struggle. They stood there silently for a second, debating on what to do. What to say. But they didn’t know what.

They hesitantly raised their hand, letting it hover in the air for a second, as if calculating the trajectory of their movement, before giving Liam an awkward, friendly pat on the shoulder.

Friendly...

The necromancer smiled, and quietly chuckled. It seemed he didn’t exactly know what to say either, and so he just looked at them for a moment. There didn’t seem to be any need for words, actually. After a few seconds of staring, they both turned around, heading to their respective tasks, Liam walking out of the dungeons and Valdemar going back to their experiments.

Despite their best efforts, the Quaestor was unable to hold back a small, somewhat fond smile from stretching their lips.

Hi! Thank you so much for checking out my blog. First things first I'd like to say that followbacks take me some time as I like to check out your blog and thoroughly read your rules / muse pages. If I do not follow you back after a week's time then I am not currently interested. It is nothing at all against you. I just try to keep a small following count to keep my dash clean and my sanity intact.

Personals you may follow / send in asks and like my stuff but PLEASE do not reblog my threads! I also wish to add that I absolutely ADORE OCs with a passion c: I am duplicate friendly as well and do not care if you reblog stuff from me. WRITING / FORMATTING.

I write. A lot. I tend to overdescribe and so my replies can get quite lengthy. That being said I do not ever expect you to match my length! Just give me something to work with and we'll be fine. I am fine with multiple threads as well, and also do not mind if you turn asks into threads. As for formatting I tend to use small text and a mix of bold and italics. Icons are used on occasion depending on the character, but I am totally fine with iconless roleplay as well!

ACTIVITY.

I am mobile bound a good 90% of the time for numerous reasons, so it may take me a while to get to threads. On top of that my mental health takes top priority, and some days I barely have energy to get out of bed. DISCLAIMER. first order of business ��- gojo satoru is not my character, nor is jujutsu kaisen my series. i am not affiliated with the production nor do i claim to be. my headcanons, writings, and graphics (unless listed otherwise) are all my own, however.

one. the activity on this blog will fluctuate, so it's best to simply consider it to be low activity. i lead a busy life outside writing, and tend to have fluctuating muse - so i can't guarantee a reply everyday! because my energy can be so limited - this blog is mutuals only and selective. i curate my space to people i fully intend on interacting with - so if i do follow you, it's because i absolutely want to write. that being said - sometimes you don't mesh with people and that's perfectly fine! however, i do ask if you want to unfollow please soft block me. i don't have interest in interacting with non-mutuals.

two. i like to think i'm a friendly person and make great efforts to interact with my mutuals! please feel free to slide into my messages to plot at any time, or send me a prompt from my prompts tag. i absolutely love meeting new writers, reading their takes on characters, and learning more about interpretations - it's part of what makes rp in this space so fun! to that end - i consider myself crossover, alternative universe, and duplicate friendly.

the best way to interact with me outside plotting is usually just sending in a prompt! i love generating stuff from those.

three. i am a novella writer, usually about 3-5 paragraphs in length (sometimes more) with slight formatting and of and on usage of icons. i really do not expect to be matched word for word, but effort is always appreciated. i tend to really enjoy character introspection - as well as dialogue, and gojo is a bit of a yapper, so apologies in advance if he talks the ears off your muse.

additionally. the content of writing on this blog will be dark. jujutsu kaisen is not a light-hearted series, and gojo himself not a particularly gentle character. writings may include violence, physical trauma, psychological trauma, gore, religious trauma, elements of horror, drug usage, and sexual themes/smut. triggers and other unsafe content will be either read mored and/or tagged. i tag them as follows: ' tag here / '.

four. shipping is a delight - and something i shamelessly do enjoy. gojo is extremely flirtatious, unfortunately absurdly attractive, and somehow simultaneously the worst person in existence - all that said, if he does flirt it does not necessarily mean shipping is on the table. if a thread or plotting seems to be going that way - i'm happy to discuss if it's something post parties are interested in. i also can't believe i have to type this but i do not ship gojo with any of his students. ew.

IMPORTANT. i do headcanon gojo to be gay, and he's not closeted regarding it in the slightest. his feelings about suguru are on a case by case basis and up to the writer involved, but he does default to having had romantic feelings regarding him in the past.

five. i don't like ship exclusivity and i dislike interaction exclusivity even more so. i think it alienates new rpers from a space, as well as closes off potential interactions. however - i do understand that sometimes we have people that fulfill what we want within a ship or dynamic so with that said, only under very rare circumstances do i participate in exclusivity. i do have mains (or affiliates) which i typically list on my pinned or carrd.

six. drama is a hard no. i'm 30+ and really not interested in any aspects of it. as for callout culture, i do not participate unless the person the callout is for poses a risk to others offline or other extreme circumstances. to summarize, i am here to relax - to write my silly little sweet-toothed sorcerer and have a good time. drama, possessiveness for me as a mun, and the other standards are the fastest way to get you blocked and evicted from my life.

basic dni criteria applies. minors / proshippers / and especially personal blogs are all blocked on sight. i also do not tolerate blatant racism, misogyny, and in particular: bi/panphobia. just don't be an asshole.

RP PET PEEVES / DEALBREAKERS : not reading my rules. becomes obvious when you don't. especially with a couple character or plot types i list that i don't feel comfortable writing and they get pushed on me. always read rules so you start out on a good page. it's so important! using roleplay to make yourself seem better than others. whether that be that you're more virtuous than them (as my buddy ava said) because they write things you don't like (rant to a bud, get your feelers out, block and move on??) or way more hip, progressive or whatever for plots you do or won't do or fcs or graphics you use. we're all just here writing. it's not that serious. have fun with it. curate your experience. screw anon button on. you'll be way less stressed. and a tiny one. refollowing on repeat. but that just gets a block eventually. and super easy to handle.

MUSE PREFERENCES : flawed heroes, burdened souls that are good people deep down, the distant person that has walls because of self-preservation, kind souls that've been burned too many times that they are cautious to warm up to others. misunderstood, thoughtful types. characters that still need to learn themselves and grow. on the complete opposite side? completely unhinged psychopaths, sociopaths, whatever else that falls under that line.

PLOTS OR MEMES : ava said this really well. memes are the easiest way to get my attention. i don't mind sending them in. or having them sent (though rn my inbox is a little big but i'm working on it, might just take me some time!). and then from there as we build up, if we match well, plotting is something i LOVE to do. i get that some don't though and i'm always more than fine winging it to see what happens. pretty flexible. but i really do love things that stick between muses.

LONG OR SHORT REPLIES : i write a lot most of the time. usually on accident. sometimes i get carried away and am enjoying myself. i, in no way, expect replies to match length and i mean it. i just need smth to work with. i've been keeping some posts purposefully shorter. especially meme replies as i work through my inbox. we can expand or shrink as needed!

BEST TIME TO WRITE : usually really late at night. i'm a night owl with insomnia and, as much as sarah threatens to beat me with a chair? i find sleep difficult. writing helps that!

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S) : i don't know? i'm probably more like dean than i am any of them. but i try to make better choices that won't end up with me getting hurt. though there are people i'd let the apocalypse happen to save. some people are just that important. sorry world. if we're going down. we're going down together at least? dean and i have very very similar music tastes. though some of my stuff would be thrown out the window. we both have stupid humor. we're loyal. i do like my jeans, t-shirts and flannels. but we are VERY different in many ways. or it'd be boring to write someone just like me.

standard procedure, no info-modding or god-modding, frieren is a legendary mage of immense power and knowledge presently over one thousand years old. she is incredibly dangerous, incredibly lazy, but at the end of the day she is unbelievably powerful. proceed with caution if you're set on fighting her, as i tend to avoid fight threads, the odds are unlikely anyway given her lazy nature but still. she is incredibly wise and silly at the same time , callous and surprisingly thoughtful ( sometimes) and as her ‘time’ moves so much slower than other people, my writing aims to reflect that.

this rule of my boundaries set also applies to drama , callouts , and vague-posting. alongside homophobia / transphobia / racism and any form of unkind , inhumane conduct or bigotry will not be tolerated here. kindness will, but immaturity and cruel behavior will not.

while not unkillable, all fight scenes or conflict i'd like to plot out with you via primarily dms / my inbox as for now my ims are broken ! frieren can lose in a fight, as mentioned by frieren herself that in her lifespan she's lost at least eleven times , that said, with her hunger for more spells and grimoires, she will only increase in knowledge .

as i continue exploring frieren, which is a very low key blog, expect slow replies please, and be patient as i will be with you, this is a very easygoing paced space! :) ! that said i will never pressure you into replies, so please go at your own pace too ! in terms of writing length, i tend to match my partner but have no real expectation of length or quantity as long as my passion is matched and i have something to work with. i am perfectly fine winging it and plotting just as much.

at some point, i will be adding verses ex: wha, clamp, mahoyome, ex, series not part of her canon . as of now i am only writing within her own universe , so please be patient with me as i explore her unique character .

as far as ‘ shipping ‘ goes, the likelihood is nonexistent due to how frieren processes time, her own near immortal lifespan, and frieren herself. i feel sousou no frieren also is more heavy on the emphasis of the bonds of platonic and familial carry many of her new and old relationships. if it happens romantically (?), it's gonna be v rare, v plotted, and another 50 years long, and the only 'ship' i really see would ship is frieren / himmel . tl;dr: it's not the focus.

i do not reflect nor represent frieren , we are two different people, one fictional with her own set of actions and mindsets i don't echo as a person mun and muse are separate packages , my only goal is to write my own insight and thoughts from my vantage point to the best of my ability to do frieren justice in my own way.

okay let's see since my accidental grad school related hiatus my average original post notes amount is, like, really low. i haven't been making much art and a lot of my mutuals from back in the day are either no longer active or not in the fandoms that i'm making text posts about.

also: my 14k+ notes neil patrick harris/lin manuel miranda 2013 tony awards opening gifset is an outlier and should not be counted, so i'm subtracting it from my stats lol

so i've got 33,832 posts with 31,048 reblogs (tumblr user since 2009 baybee!). of the remaining 2,784 posts, one is the aforementioned outlier. the rest is a mix of very-low note count posts from my very early days, very-low note count posts bc they're random personal musings, mostly low note fandom text posts, and a mix of semi-successful art posts from various fandoms (both "edits" which are still fanart goddammit and gifsets, but from the days when gifsets were still size-limited and weren't elaborate edits that moved).

so my average notes per post is 13.06, but that's including a lot of posts i never expected to get more than a handful of replies from my long-time mutuals bc they were just text posts about my life. like, i get the feeling that a lot of people currently maintain several side blogs to do all the things we used to do on single blogs--personal posts, random reblogs, fandom reblogs, fandom text and art posts, etc.

my top non-outlier gifset (aka my 2nd most successful post) is a damon/elena morning after gifset with 1,166 notes; this eleventh doctor screencap edit is my top non-gifset post with 820 notes, and this critical role campaign 3 text post that aabria reblogged is my top text post with 732 notes.

if you wanna see all my art and gifsets, check out my stuff i made tag! the most recent thing i posted was this darklina edit to go along with the fifth chapter of my darklina wip, and it got, uh, 13 notes. it's fine i'm fine. looking back at that tag is also interesting because the immediate drop in my fandom productivity after i started grad school in the summer of 2014 is stunning. don't go to grad school, it's a trap. (i mean, go if you want but, like. it's a trap.) so the vast majority of my stuff is from 2013 and before. but still, check it out i guess.

i might copy this info into a different (original, lol) post at some point and also do a deeper look into my favorite stuff i've made, idk. it's nice to revisit the pre-grad school version of my tumblr lol. if nothing else i'm interested in the average notes of my actual "stuff i made" tag without all the random non-fandom text posts. plus revisiting stuff i've made before might help me get back into making stuff. i miss it, but grad school did a number on me there.

how to find the number: use this page to calculate the total number of notes your original posts have gotten, then divide by the number of original posts (and round the result however you see fit). here's mine as an example:

so i divide 142,200 by 626 and get 227.16, which i then round to 227 average notes per post

pre-established bonds are fine with me if our characters canonically know each other. i am also willing to plot out pre-established stuff with anyone too, since carlisle has been around for 300ish years, he has met A LOT of people from all over the world.

i love shipping sooooooo damn much. i am very open to shipping but carlisle will not be romantically interested in anyone that is very young (he's 300+ years old, you gotta be 35+ to ride this train) or in anyone that is a straight up evil person/being. in verses where i ship him with others, he was unable to save esme in time.

i am very flexible with putting carlisle into other universes-- i just can't do anything animated for him, but for the most part, he can be tossed into pretty much any alternate universe.

most importantly: this blog is VERY low activity, low effort. i am extremely busy constantly with my full time job and school, as well as my two pets. this is also not my only blog. please do not rush me or expect my undivided attention.

AGE. i am uncomfortable following anyone below the age of 21. if i can't see at least a nod toward your age in your blog, i won't follow.

GUIDELINES. i promise you, i never follow anyone without going through their guidelines & about pages first. that's basic rp etiquette. with that said, if i make a mistake about your muse in a thread, please correct me! as many times as i reread pages, we're all human, so mistakes are inevitable. i'll correct it immediately.

PLOT DRIVEN. don't be afraid to message me to plot. i am trying to get better at winging it, but still, i most likely will need to plot eventually! this blog has a heavy preference for plotted dynamics/threads. note: if i haven't followed back you can still shoot a message or ask. i may not see a reason for our characters to interact, but if you come to me with a plot in mind, that may change.

VERSES. considering this katherine is fandomless, and given her status as a being of hell, i think she can cross over into many different universes. for now, everything will fall into three different verses. human: events that occur before her transition. vampire: events that occur in her centuries spent as a vampire. hellsent: events that occur after her death, whilst she is a spirit / queen of hell.

SHIPPING. i will be selective with romantic ships. it of course requires chemistry. if you try to force it, i will hard block. i am always open to exploring cross over ships and katherine x oc. i don't auto - ship (ex: you write a salvatore but don't want to ship? fine by me). given the nature of katherine's character, any relationships she's involved in will most likely be toxic in some way. and given the nature of the vampire diaries (power dynamics, age gaps, physical violence.... yeah), i would say don't expect flowers and rainbows.

FORMAT. mostly iconless. if anything, i'll use gifs. my formatting is simple and i tend to gravitate toward people with a similar style. sometimes i color my text, you’re more than welcome to ask me not to if it causes eye strain.

MISC. sometimes i have duplicate anxiety, sometimes i don’t; other katherine blogs are free to follow (hello multiverse!!!), and i’ll block if i’m not comfortable with it. alternatively, you’re free (obviously) to soft/hard block me if i follow you, i totally understand. i block liberally, do not take it personally as it is genuinely not that serious. it is almost never personal. with that said, don’t try to circumvent it, no means no.

DNI. stranger things, merle dixon, homelanders who woobify him, whitewashed muses, all white / overwhelmingly white multis, smut centric/based blogs. if a faceclaim bothers me enough, i’ll just avoid them - but i think most celebrities are quite terrible anyway lol so this will be rare. if you are a multi and we become mutuals, i’ll simply avoid that character. with that said, i’ll only interact with actor faceclaims.

INTERACTIONS NOTE. katherine is an antagonist and (mostly) a villain, we know this. however, i write her as someone capable of change who actually wanted to. she has moments of humanization in the show --- she is more than just an antagonist and villain. this is to say if every interaction is going to be hostile & antagonistic, i'm going to lose interest very fast. i find it boring and kind of draining. no one has to like her, and you won't find me trying trying to make her into the good girl she isn't, but if your muse can have a civil conversation with the likes of (for example) damon, kai, klaus, they can have a civil conversation with katherine pierce. 🧍‍♀️i'm not here to only explore one side of her personality, yknow?

Heck, even using MTL and doing research + reverse research to check if I'm using the right term, the right idiom is 10x more organic than telling a machine to write down something for me.

(i use many characters as FC but mostly raw Daisuke/Rui icons) Hi I'm Ni (She/They; 25↑), I love Digimon in general, but the series I work with more is the OG Adventure series. I'm Ace/Panromantic, please use she/her or they/them pronouns. I'm a scaredy-cat kind of person who gets nervous and anxious at first, but once we start bonding I'll drop that and be more of myself. Also, I'm not good with people/communication, so sometimes I have meltdowns and have to step back for a while. Usually I'm either cooling off on a non-roleplaying blog or just hanging out on Discord. So please be patient with me during these times. My muses, despite some being quite closer to my personality are NOT me so please be aware of the differences between muse and writer.

I get super duper fired up when talking about the things I love the most. However I can be quite harsh and critical about said stuff as well. I tend to get a lot of brainstorms so if I’m messaging you that much please tell me and I will slow down my pace.

I also get excited when writing a thread, so I tend to reply hella quickly while I still have in mind what to say. Don’t rush me, but give me small reminders if I forget to reply since there’s a chance I actually forgot to or thought it was your turn when in fact I hadn’t replied in the first place.

I also draw. Like, a lot. Quite compulsive. Some of my non-canon-material icons are my own art. And I feel a bit uncomfortable by using other people’s fanart WITHOUT their permission. So yeah, I do my own doodled icons… When I get energy for those.

i am willing to interact with other robins because at one point in time, i really did enjoy all the silly aus we could get up to such as twins, or how-did-we-end-up-in-each-others-universes. however, i have had a few bad experiences that have made me cautious with dups. i will not follow first, but if other robins follow then i will consider interacting. basically if we can stick to basic rp etiquette, namely godmodding, then i'm good. you have your version and i have mine. we're individually unique, and we should explore that. i don't want to know what i'm doing wrong or feel uncomfortable in the choices i make. we might go down the same avenue as far as mannerisms and history, but ultimately, we'll make it our own. i'd rather not knit-pick who did it best or how similar a canon version is to another. anyways... that got a little ranty, but basically, i love the idea of dups. let's have fun with it!
