@redstarsandnightmares gets a (semi)plotted starter
"You know, it really is impressive how advanced your original arm was. I mean, the one you got in Wakanda, sure, their tech is more advanced than anything the rest of the world has--even Stark Industries is still about a decade behind them. But. The first one. . ." Morgan swiped through images and schematics on her tablet, eyes lit up with excitement and curiosity. "How they were even to build something like that, at that time, with the limited resources and limited understanding of engineering--"
Morgan caught herself and looked up with an embarrassed little laugh. "I'm rambling. Sorry. I just get really excited about this stuff. Rhodey's let me mess around with his braces since I was like. . 12, and I've just kinda been obsessed with this kinda thing ever since. Though. I guess I shouldn't be quite so. . complimentary, when talking about anything HYDRA did," she added, more to herself, as she grew even more embarrassed over her rant.

@sah1x1s liked my Marvel kids starter call
"OW, dammit," Morgan yelped when her hand slipped and the soldering iron hit her palm. "Shit shit shit shit shit," she hissed. "F.R.I.D.A.Y? Call Dad for me?"
Morgan groaned, waiting for the call to connect. "Um, Dad? . . . Remember how you told me not to work in the garage by myself, in case something went wrong? Yeah, did it anyway, and I kinda burned myself, and it's not that bad, but also I feel like I definitely need an adult," she explained in one breath, ready to get lectured if it meant her dad would come help.

@legends-and-savages gets a little Morgan

While Morgan knew better than to just talk to strangers, her mom had always told her to find a grownup if they got separated. He wasn't necessarily a grownup, but he was definitely older than her, and that would have to do. "Um. . ." she started quietly. "Excuse me? I can't find my mommy. Can you help me?"

@sah1x1s gets a plotted (sorta) starter!
"Hi!" Morgan greeted too cheerily the moment she saw Nico. Not that she wasn't always happy to see him--even when she came in with a particularly painful injury--but this was exaggerated, forced. "I, uh, I wasn't-- I wasn't sure if you were working today. That's lucky." She normally would've checked before making her way to the infirmary, but Morgan wasn't exactly thinking clearly at the moment. She wasn't even really sure why she'd come to him, why he was the first person she thought of when she felt the panic attack coming. Maybe it was because she knew that he could, and would, take care of her. Still, Morgan tried to act naturally, as if nothing was really the matter and she was just there to pop in on a friend.

OPEN STARTER ;; Morgan H. Stark
"I'm really tired of old men telling me I need to marry a smart man who knows how to run a business. . . As if my mother isn't CEO of Stark Industries. She was running the company for years before Dad died, but apparently that doesn't mean anything."

OPEN STARTER ;; Morgan H. Stark
Morgan hummed in acknowledgement of the other speaking, but she didn’t look up from what she was working on--schematics for a new type of robotic prosthetic limb. She’d been working on it with single-minded focus all day, ignoring any incoming texts or phone calls. Maybe that was why someone was standing in her garage, asking for her attention. She couldn’t be sure, though, because she was only listening in the sense that she was aware someone was talking to her.

"I think that's almost certainly bullshit," Morgan retorted, resting a hand on her hip. "Can't you just call El or Scarlett? I'm sure either one of them would come over and keep you entertained." It wasn't that she didn't want to spend time with her brother, she had just planned on going out on her own. ". . . I could have a date for all you know."
“i know, but i feel like it’s practically healed." it wasn't exactly true, but he hoped he was convincing “no, i don't need you to bring me anything. what i need is to get out for a bit too. don't get me wrong, I love staying here at home, reading my comics, but being somewhere else for a bit would be nice.” he looked at her hopefully. "what do you think ? can i come with you ?”

OPEN STARTER ;; Morgan Stark
“Okay, there’s MAYBE, EVER SO SLIGHTLY, the smell of something burning… but it was just my sleeve, and I’m barely even singed, so it’s nothing to worry about.” Morgan hesitated then added, “But do me a favor, don’t tell my mom.” Pepper was always on her about tinkering safely, and Morgan tried to listen. Mostly. She still felt like her mom overreacted when anything went even remotely wrong, though, so she tried to keep word of it from reaching her mother whenever possible.

Morgan nodded and looked around the store as they walked in. She was pretty sure this was the last store she'd seen her mom. But the longer it took to find her, the more she knew her mom would worry. She heard a woman yelling further into the store and she looked up at the nice boy helping her. She wasn't sure it was her mom, but-- "Mommy yells when she's worried."
"Well a maybe is better then nothing sometimes." Though if he knew Pepper she would probably never really let it happen. But he did know Morgan and figured she'd get her way. Peter looked over at the store. "Well let's go in. Even if she's not in there maybe they know where she went." He still had Pepper's number, but it would be weird to just use it.

Morgan smiled shyly, more used to helping people indirectly. "Yeah, I guess we do. . . Don't tell Happy or my mom, though, or they'll lock me in the house for like. . a month. They're pretty protective."
@painofhumanity asked: "Sometimes, being a nerd comes in handy." (Morgan Stark)
“guess you’re right.” his mother always told him that he couldn't always punch his way through everything, so yeah, it was good to have someone who’d be able to look at a problem from another perspective. one that he wouldn’ consider if he was alone. “you and i actually make a pretty good team, don't you think ?”

Morgan frowned at the way he talked about himself. "Medical miracle, sure, but. . . I wouldn't call you a freak," she disagreed softly. "At least, no more than Captain America. And he actually chose to be experimented on."
Invoking the name of Steve Rogers around Bucky of all people might have been overstepping, but she couldn't stand listen to him say those things and not push back.
"Could I--?" Morgan gestured shyly to the mechanical arm. Curious or not, she didn't want to treat Bucky like a labrat.
@painofhumanity
"Sorry, again," Morgan said, covering half of her blushing face with one hand. "I tend to get carried away with stuff like this." Her eyes lit up at the mention of Shuri. They'd only met a couple of times, but Morgan was a huge fan of hers. "That would be amazing. As long as you're comfortable with that, of course. I don't wanna make you uncomfortable." She was young, but she wasn't naive--not about this, at least. Morgan knew enough about the Winter Soldier to know that Bucky Barnes had been at the mercy of curious (and cruel) men, and she wasn't about to do anything to make him feel cornered or pressured.
He shrugged at the girl. It wasn't the first time someone had hyperfocused on the technology woven into his body. He probably would be too if he'd been in their shoes.
The original titanium was far beyond anything the tech should have been able to produce at the time and was just a testament to how advanced HYDRA and their scientists had been.
"Yeah, sure kid. You're not the first, won't be the last. Just part of...being a medical miracle, I suppose. Experimental freak of nature more like."

"Still say 18 was overkill," Morgan laughed weakly. She didn't know how to explain that she was perfectly fine--aside from the fact that some part of her mind had decided she was in a life or death situation just by being at work, and she couldn't calm herself down this time--so she let Nico check her over and just tried to act as normally as possible.
Morgan's anxious fidgeting stilled for a moment when he put his hand on her knee and she looked at him with wide eyes. "I-- I'm. . ." She looked away again and held her hands up as if to wave off his concern, only to notice how badly they were trembling. "I can't stop shaking," she said breathlessly as she dropped her hands into her lap and clasped them together tightly, trying to force them to be still.
"Sorry, sorry, I just. . . You were the first person I thought of," she admitted in a small voice. "It came outta nowhere, and I couldn't. . .I couldn't make it stop. . . Nothing's even wrong. Everything's fine, but still, I just can't. . ." I can't breathe. Morgan put her hands on her knees--one covering Nico's--and hunched over as her breathing became harsher.
"Morgan..." Nico sighed, drawing her name out with his exhale, shaking his head as he pulled out a pair of gloves from the box at the door and snapped them on before moving closer to her. "Please tell me you're here, and it isn't as bad as last time when you had to have 18 stitches to sew up your arm? Please?" He said dryly, shaking his head again as he pulled the stool closer to the bed as he arched a brow at her in curiosity before realizing that her vitals, well, the blood work and other analysis at least, were normal...
Her heart rate was through the roof, and she kept fidgeting, unable to keep still as she tried many a time to avoid his eye contact until he reached out to rest a hand on her knee, lightly tapping the bone with a finger to garner her attention.
"Honey? I can't help you if you don't tell me what's wrong, and I'm not stupid. I can tell something is, so please? What's going on?"

Bucky sighed, listening to the girl pour over his past with exuberance. HYDRA had the full force of the Nazi science division behind them...and Zola was a genius. The bio-mechanics had always escaped his own understanding, but he preferred not to think about it.
"I...never understood where their tech came from myself and I was there for more than half my life. Y'can look over Shuri's tech all y'like though."

"Yeah! Spider-Man is the coolest." Though Morgan's smile did grow when Peter mentioned her dad's helmet. "I just play with Daddy's old helmet. I'm not supposed to play with the real blasters, though. . That one's a toy." Though the precocious little girl may or may not have gotten her hands on one of them.
painofhumanity:

Morgan squeezed his hand softly and smiled at him with a shy excitement. “Do you like Spider-Man?” she asked. “He’s my favorite,” she said it almost like it was a secret. “Everyone thinks Iron Man’s my favorite, because he was my dad, but Spider-Man was Daddy’s favorite superhero, too. He used to tell me stories about him all the time before bed. He’s the coolest.”
Peter smiled softly at her. “He is?” He asked. Peter was used to people saying they were his favorite, but it was nice to hear his little sister liked him best. Even if she didn’t remember that they were related. “Spider-Man is pretty cool.” He said. “I liked Iron Man most. When I was little I even had a replica helmet.” He said. He wasn’t surprised that his dad was telling stories about him, but he was glad about it.
