We have to be volatile and fix raw matter salts to reach Mercurius, a volatile to be fixed to become Mercurius Philosophorum. This is volatile compared to unripe Soul, White Sulphur, etc.

In every alchemical step, there is a volatile to be fixed and a fixed to be made volatile.

Ouroboros represents an active/fixed upper part fixing a passive/volatile inferior part which, in turn, dissolves and feeds the upper part. Not only once but countless in a never-ending story.

🆘 for both Vergil & Oreo !!

As he is now, Vergil would absolutely move to help the homeless without hesitation. The first thing offered would be food or warmth to cover immediate necessities. He has more money than he knows what to do with so he'd do what he can to help them get set up after.

After all, Vergil had gone through homelessness after the tragic events of his childhood. He knows all too well the difficulties of being homeless, and he can only guess how much harder it was for someone as defenceless as a human.

Ouroboros on the other hand... That entirely depends on 'when'. If it's a future where he's at peace, his reaction would be very similar to Vergil's.

If this is not too long after he first wandered the human world and before that, he would simply be indifferent. Not a waste of space per se, but no different than a patch of grass, as he saw basically all living creatures like this. He just didn't care and only had the need to kill Vergil occupying his mind. It does go to show how dark his upbringing was, as he was treated much the same way.

Really random ass headcanons for current (not past) Ouroboros / red vergil but:

He has no belly button since he was grown rather than birthed.

He is a clone, but more specifically he's an advanced version of a homunculus.

White blood that changes to a light pink when deoxidized (as in fresh blood is white but already bled blood is light pink)

Teeth are sharp starting from the canines and back. Front teeth aren't sharp

Don't let him cook. Hes extremely bad at it and you'll probably end up with a poisonous hokey puck

Really loves cooked food of all kinds since he rarely had the opportunity to eat anything other than whatever nutritious gruel the lab gave him or raw prey. They designed him to be able to safely digest raw meat for reasons of convenience. Feral ass.

Out of food, sweets are his absolute favorite. He hasn't tried enough to have anything specific as a favourite

Downside to rarely having cooked food is flavour sensory pickyness. He doesn't like anything too spicy, too tart, too sweet, etc.

He actually finds Dante's aesthetic really cool and would probably wear a more mild version of his style if given the chance.

Probably would be into cyberpunk aesthetic. Yeah he'd probably stare at Nero's arm a lot.

More Ouroboros / Red Vergil Headcanons:

Where's the Vergil content? I'll get to it I'm still fleshing Ouro out before I delve into him more.

Given that he's artificially made, there's a few other things that set him apart from the human like.

One is his weight. His design is for heightened battle advantages. His natural weight is only about 60lbs while he has organs that can actually adjust this. His movement can be anything similar to low gravity to being as heavy as 500lbs. This range was chosen both due to being an ideal weight range for situational adaptation, and because anything higher or lower would put too much strain on the organs.

The organs are similar in make up to lungs, and actually replace the lower third of each lung, although aren't directly connected in a way to share air canals. They'er filled with a liquid substance where its' chemical make up can change very rapidly through inner glands. His body will naturally alter the chemical composition according to stress levels, instinctual reaction, and other factors like adrenaline.

How it works isn't actually by adjusting his weight, but by adjusting the magnetization of the fluids within these two organs. The glands alter the levels of the microscopic electric currents within, causing Ouroboros' body to attract towards or repel from his choice of material. It lets him move in many ways as if he has gravitational control.

However, as with anything within his body, these organs can be penetrated by outside forces. The liquids would spill out for sure, and a lot can happen with it the moment it's released. This can be anything from simply spilling out to outright exploding. Either way, he won't be able to use this ability anymore if even one of them are damaged. It's too unbalanced and dangerous for him to try and use only one. Plus being rendered to his natural weight leaves him at an extreme disadvantage in battle.

Something else that loosely connects to this is that his mood and mental state also affects his weight greatly. If he trusts you, his weight will range anywhere from 'average' to very light. Light enough to be easily picked up.

On the other hand he's almost weightless for his size when either asleep or unconscious. Maybe about 20lbs usually. This is a remnant of ease of handling by his creators. This way it was a lot easier to move him around for various experiments and testing while he was rendered unconscious.

Another thing loosely connected is his sleeping pattern. He is designed for the human world's average 6-9 hours of nightly sleep, but his complicated body, and especially his magnetic organs, drains more energy than this sleeping pattern can give.

It's typical he'll pick one day a week to hibernate through the entire day. He can only vaguely sense and interact with the world around him in this state, and his unconscious state leaves him light. This is extremely vulnerable for him so finding somewhere safe to do this is necessary.

If he forces himself to stay awake, it'll quickly shut him down when his energy gets low enough. He'll be hit with an extreme sense of dizzying drowsiness, and it won't be long before he'll collapse and be one incapacitated. Yes, even in the middle of a battle.

All in all, this is his creator's answer to Vergil's Yamato. Ouroboros does not have this weapon, therefore has no ability to control space time. (Judgement Cut, teleportation, and being able to slow time feels like space time control anyway.) As a replacement, they tried to have their creation mimic the idea of gravitational control. Although it's actually magnetic control rather than true gravitational control.
