I don’t want my kids growing up afraid to tell me things. You drank? Okay. You smoked? Okay. You’re struggling? That’s alright. I want them to be able to talk to me without feeling like they’re going to be punished, so they end up isolating and keeping things from me. I want them to feel safe opening up to me without fear or judgment. When it’s hard to trust anyone nowadays, I want them to know I am always here, even when everyone leaves.

Don't you hate it?

Don’t you hate it when you have no one to turn to, And no one even notices? You try so hard to put in the effort, Texting, smiling, making plans. It would be nice to get some reciprocation. It would be nice to have plans. At least sometimes anyways. Sure, you like being alone, Binge watching netflix, Taking long naps, Not worrying about appearances, But you know what else is nice? Feeling like you belong, Like you’re wanted, Like you have friends. That’s a feeling that you don’t want to go away. Don’t you hate it when it goes away and you’re left empty?

i’m honestly one of those people that are just there like yeah i have friends and people talk to me but i’m nobody’s favorite person and nobody looks forward to talking to me everyday or anything and it sucks
