- Reader got munchies? He's got ya, he's got his own lil munchie stash in his room.

- Readers first time getting high? He'll call you stupid but help you through it, make sure you don't freak tf out

- I don't see Edd as a stoner but he's okay with the 'lifestyle', though when he came back after a cola run and found Reader staring at the ceiling snickering here and there he's very concerned

Bill, georg and gustav were all away doing there on thing on the bus, being alone and bored you decide to finish off one of the drawings of tom you had started on a couple days ago.

You put on your headphones playing a playlist you liked to listen to when you were drawing, unbeknown to you the person who you were drawing had walked behind you and was now watching as you bopped your head and drew.

You being to feel a bit uneasy so you decide to look behind you and see a tall man looming over you, at first you get shit scared and jump away a bit but after realising that it was tom you sigh a bit in relief before looking down in your lap and seeing the drawing of him on display.

You take out your head phone while quickly snapping your book closed, hoping he didnt see to much, but the sly smirk on his face tells you other wise.

"Wow ___ your goood" he says cockly moving to sit next to you. You roll your eyes and try to change topic.

"Wheres the others?" you question "Bills out getting food- obviously, georgs outside talking to his girlfiend and i think gus is sleeping" he says rubbing his chin trying to think "oh yeah" you say before putting one of your headphones in leaving one open to listen if tom was gonna say something else.

"What you listening to?" he questions holding his hand out for one of your headphones to listen with you "Oh just ___ ____" placing the other headphone in his palm. "nice" he mutters putting in the other headphone jamming out with you.

After a while you gathered enough courage to show him the drawings of him in your book the finished ones and the one you were previously working on.

"Hey um tom did you want to see the drawing i did of you" you say a blush tinted on your face immanently regretting what you had just done.

"Yeah sure, was hoping you would say something" he chuckles taking the headphone out giving it back to you moving his body to face you. You reach next to you flipping to the pages of the tom ones.

"Yeah this is the one im working on, its still in its ugly phase" you giggle trying to make the air feel less heavy.

"wow ___ you did this, its amazing and not just cause its me like look at this apple i could like eat it! " tom mutters out fascinated by the level of detail you put into the drawing you did of him and the other random objects he sees scattered throughout the sketch book.

"Yeah um i- oh god im doing this- i kinda draw you cause i- like you" She says quickly puts her face into her hands, feeling her heart pump loudly, her thoughts running wild.

"I like you to ___" Tom say calmly amused that the girl was blushing so hard. Hearing that ___ snaps her head towards tom "really, you like me" she sighs out "yeah, i like you, ___ more than friends" he says feeling his heart beat fast aswell.

They both lean in cautiously before pressing their lips togther softly before pressing in deeper. ___ heart beating faster than ever letting her eyelashes flutter closed, trying to enjoy this moment.

"Hey yeah babe ill call you back soon mmk yeah love yo-" Georg says stopping mid sentence when seeing Tom and ___ kissing on the couch.

The pair look back quickly to see a shocked Georg standing in the entrance of the bus "I owe bill so much money" he mutters before walking back outside.

The two break out in a fit of laughter and the situation they got themselves into.

Sorry if this is weird to ask you but with the talk of queens (abt them being treated lesser and weirdly in general, which I totally agree with) I was hoping to get some input on an idea for my own rewrite.

Reading the books, I just kept asking myself "Why should they have to be shipped into a den for six months to care for them all on their own when theres tons of cats, especially their mates, who can and should be helping so that they didn't have to drop everything else abt their lives and hobbies for so long just because they had kids? Why is it that she loses so much about herself but her mate can stay a warrior and have nothing to do with parenting and that's okay? How come being a mother is treated like a statement of inability to be in power? (Bluestar and Leafstar, for example). Why does she lose her "warriorhood" like that?"

It's not just that they're treated like their stupid and only thinking about their kids for me, it's also the fact the erins treat parenting like queens (women) are the only ones who can/will/should be involved in parenting. It's unfair to both them and toms, and honestly, to me, it makes more sense for parenting to be communal, much like hunting and patrolling responsibilities are shared. With of course parents still playing a big part.

Essentially, my idea is to just abolish it being a whole job thing like that in my rewrite and have it be a shares responsibilty between everyone (but their parents most importantly). Queens ofc would still get "leave" from other duties while recovering and for nursing, but they don't have that expectation to be the kittens' only caretaker for so long, and their mate(s) would have just as much expectation to be involved as compared to the lack of any expectations of paternal and other-cat-given care in canon.

Oh, and much like the other shared duties that the Clan has, not everyone has to be involved if they don't want to or they just arent good at it. Some cats do more patrolling, some do more hunting, some do more healing (In my thing its not exclusive to a seer), etc, and some do more childcare. It's that simple. But if you choose to have kids then your gonna be involved unless you just aren't a good parent (ex: Rainflower). I think it makes more sense being communal when a big part of the Clans, to me at least, is community, loyalty, and the bonds that keep it together, and that needs to be formed and what better way then to let the kittens learn they can rely on their Clanmates young, and know that they are just as worthy of trust, love, and loyalty as their parents/queen?

And it's not that I see anything wrong with the role of a queen and parenting, promise, I just think it's unfair the expectations always fall on them, and that the erins write fathers like they have no place being fathers in the first place. Also outside of my irritation I just rlly like the idea of the whole clan taking part in raising, playing with, and educating the kittens idk it's just always been cute to me. And like I mentioned before, there are cats who play roles like a perma-queen, and there's nothing wrong with that.

But yeah I just kinda wanted to know if this rlly makes any sense at all/if it's fair 😭 sorry if it's uncomfortable or anything like that

this is a BIG reason as to why I added the Caretaker role to RoC as well! Caretakers take on that communal helper role in taking care of kits (as well as the rest of the clan). Queens and their mates should both equally share in the parenting role, and should also get help from others in the clan. also cats literally do this. they communally help in caring for kittens!

so ya! I love your idea of the whole clan helping with caring for the kits! it is just SO much better than the way canon does it.

Heard about TK wanting to write WW for 100 issues and do a Trinity spinoff?

Yeah.... that's the word on the street 😔

To be honest with everybody though, I don't think he's hitting 100 issues. I think Tom King THINKS he will be writing 100 issues of WW comics, but I'm very skeptical. Like it's true he got pretty close to 100 issues when he was writing Batman, but that was during Rebirth, when comics were being published twice a month. At a normal monthly pace, 100 main title issues works out to be a bit over EIGHT YEARS. Even with specials and annuals and possible events (or the Trinity spinoff) compressing that timeline, there's still no way in my mind that Tom hits 100 issues in any less than five years. He spent three on Batman. You know, Batman, his #1, the guy he has to bring up every issue? Do we really think he's going to spend over twice as long on Diana?

Like personally I'm just not convinced that Tom King cares enough about Wonder Woman to write her for that long. Like I think he likes her, and I think he thinks she's cool, but reading his book he seems to love to put the focus anywhere except on Diana. Like all the narration is done by the villain (meaning we don't get Diana's actual thoughts on any of this) and the backup are all TK's audition to write supersons (so we're losing page space that could be utilized to develop the current narrative in favor of possible future stories with no plot relevance)

Like idk. Tom King is talking the talk and I think he has the power at DC currently to walk the walk if he really wants to do it and his hype squad keeps sales high, but he hasn't convinced me so far with his work that he has it in him to see out so many issues of Wonder Woman, especially when Diana finally defeats the Sovereign, and if Trinity gets her own book, like what is he going to do with his remaining 80 issues? Actually telling WW stories?

It seems to me from what I've read of his WW and interviews abt it is that this "100 issues of Wonder Woman" thing is coming from his opinion that Diana deserves a 100-issue run, rather any great, passionate love for Diana that would actually motivate him to write her for that long.

So anyways, my stance is that if he's really putting in a long one (however long it may be) we just hope for the best, (Diana getting her narration boxes back and being central in her own story again, Trinity getting booted back to Themyscira to be forgotten raised offscreen, etc.) and try to make the most & wait it out

i’ve been rewatching a lot of powerpuff girls episodes like i’m honestly determined to watch every episode at this point bc i got sucked in when i was only watching like one or two LOL and boy i have THOUGHTS. for some reason i hardly remember any of these episodes even tho ik i’ve seen them all a bunch of times on boomerang so it’s felt like i’m watching them for the first time with my adult lens. i love all 3 of the main girls they are rlly interesting characters and what i love abt the show is how they balance back and forth between all this crime fighting shit and the girls just living normal lives as preschoolers or whatever bc it can def feel like a slice of life show sometimes in those more laid back episodes not that the superhero shit isn’t fun to watch too bc it is!!!! it reminds me of jimmy neutron a bit how jimmy will have to save the day and shit but he still acts like a normal kid with normal kid problems at the end of the day bc powerpuff girls has that same feel to it which i like where the girls still will act like normal toddlers or whatever and it’s cute & endearing af. ok i’m just gonna flat out say it idk if this is an unpopular opinion or not but blossom is my fav character she’s definitely way more interesting and nuanced than the other two girls while bubbles and buttercup are more one dimensional bc bubbles is just the sweet one and buttercup is the mean one LOL. i like blossom bc she has the traits of both her sisters combined but she’s more balanced out so she can have good chemistry in scenes with either sister whether she agrees with bubbles on something or with buttercup on something. bc blossom knows how to be nice like bubbles in some situations and in other situations she’s more snobby and mean like buttercup. which makes her a good leader too bc of her being complex like that and understanding both sisters. but she’s also flawed too bc she can be stuck up and bossy and vain at times but it makes her interesting imo. bubbles is prob my second fav like she’s cute af and relatable too bc she’s super sweet until u cross her and then she’s like scary and dangerous af LOL. (she’s also a huge meme too) i feel like bubbles is everyone’s fav and it seems like bubbles got the most episodes about her and the most screen time but it kind of bothers me that we didn’t get more blossom episodes considering she’s like technically the main one and it feels like bubbles got all the spotlight just bc she’s funnier. but yeah it bothers me when shows focus too much on the comic relief character. buttercup is my least fav and i remember liking her least growing up too LOL but i’ve grown to like her more rewatching the series bc she’s kind of complex too in her own right she’s super aggressive and tomboyish but she has her soft moments too which makes her interesting. but overall i prob enjoy buttercup the least bc she’s just a bitch for no reason most of the time lol. so yeah my ranking of the girls is

and then when we’re looking at the villains of the show that’s a whole different story LMAO. i still have a lot of episodes to go to fully form an opinion on this but HIM is def the breakout villain in the show by FAR. ik mojo jojo is considered like the main villain or whatever but HIM is way more intimidating and you’re like oh fuck whenever he shows up. mojo jojo is hardly that threatening he’s honestly more of just a punchline and u always know the girls are gonna take him down right away by just punching him LOL. whenever HIM shows up it feels like there’s way more at stake so imo he’s the real true #1 villain of the show. mojo jojo is basically darth vader while HIM is emperor palpatine. also princess is the most annoying character ever don’t @ me. i’ve always been a nickelodeon hoe and not a CN hoe but powerpuff girls will always be one of my top 5 shows on CN bc the writing and humor and animation and shit is pretty on par with some of Nick’s greatest stuff. also with tom kenny voicing everyone like he does in spongebob too it gives the show that perfect comedic feel to it that’s nostalgic of early 2000s cartoons. i love craig mccracken’s style bc FHFIF is also one of my favs too for similar reasons.

ok for the sake of summarizing: unpopular opinion that peter is underrated

strongly agree | agree | neutral | disagree | strongly disagree

so like....i agree with this but idk if it is in the way i sometimes see people agreeing with it. like i have seen people who go "omg peter was actually a great fantastic guy!!! he was amazing i love him!!" in an effort to combat him sort of getting left to the side and. well. i do not think peter was a great guy lol. and of course u can do whatever u want with him in an au but i personally do not usually take an interest in characters unless there is at least a few threads or connections to their canon characterization, bc that's what gets me interested in the first place, y'know?

i actually have talked about peter somewhere on this blog before so maybe i will go and hunt down that post bc i kinda put like. a bunch of my takes in there. (found it here u go!) but basically in the context of a canon universe i think peter's betrayal is incredibly interesting and can be read in a variety of different ways all of which can be fun to explore. i've written two canon-compliant fics where in each of them i took a slightly different route for what i did with his character, but both times peter was one of the characters whose motivations and interiority felt the most complicated to me and i had to spend a long time like....sending voice notes to my sister to work through how i wanted to portray him.

however that being said as with characters like regulus or barty or bellatrix or whoever i am not a fan of people trying to rehabilitate peter's character by erasing his canon flaws. he was a villain in canon for a reason and i think his betrayal + the flaws that go along with it are crucial to his character, so i just find it boring when someone tries to pull a 180 and make him this super-duper nice guy who's never done anything wrong.

i also don't blame people writing aus or whatnot who just....don't really care much about peter and don't want to spend a bunch of time writing him. i think that's valid! the same way that i don't really blame anyone who just isn't interested in certain side characters and doesn't really care about taking the time to write them. HOWEVER. i do agree that there is an interesting bit of discontinuity in the way people sidestepped peter as a villain + death eater + instead became obsessed with characters like barty + evan, and i do think part of that....may come from the fact that peter is portrayed in canon as unattractive (which...jkr's fatphobia is a conversation for another post lol) and the ways i have seen many people engaging with other death eater characters involves making them ummmm. very conventionally attractive. which! idk. i hesitate to generalize abt this issue bc i don't necessarily think it's like a driving force so much as one slightly suspicious variable in a whole host of variables for why anyone might be interested in barty crouch jr. but not in peter--like some people obviously are not gonna care about alice + frank as much as james + lily + will be happier to redeem the longbottoms' villain than the potters', etc etc. overall i think that is just a whole can of worms that i need 2 think abt more before opening lol

the ability to touch others had been a fundamental thing you had been deprived of. yet things seemed to change when you stepped foot into eridia, moreso when you were able to take leander's hand. leander kindly brought you a temporary solution of flowers, but beyond the calm surface, maybe there was something more dangerous than your own curse lying in wait.

To touch was something holy. 

It became the pillar of human existence and human connection. Whether it be running a hand over a lover’s body or even the ability to huddle together with others during a meal, it was undeniable that the ability to touch and to feel and to connect defined an integral experience of what it meant to be a human.

It was something that you had been stripped of your entire life. It was only until just recently that the revelation that you might be able to be granted the privilege of touch. You could hardly believe it yourself, and on some days, you couldn’t help but think that maybe starving yourself of it entirely instead of entertaining a foolish hope might hurt you less in the long run. 

“Do you like them?” You jerked to life, thoughts shattered as if they were freshly frozen frost. A foreign weight in your hands reminded you of where you were and the man standing in front of you, observing you for your reaction. 

Leander’s voice remained quiet and warm, like the gentle light of a candle placed by the windowside on a cold evening. A bouquet of beautifully bloomed white lilies nestle themselves in your hands, and they weigh against your palms in a way that only a taken life would. 

The lilies weren’t heavy, but the clear markings of where they’ve been plucked by the stems seemed to add some kind of presence to them. You can’t imagine something as vibrant as these cloud-white lilies growing to fruition in the wasteland that Lowtown and its surrounding areas were, yet… These were real flowers. They weren’t the magical lilies that Leander would conjure up at the request of his team.

You glanced up at the smiling man. “They’re real. Where did you get these?”

He waved his hand, simply dismissing your curiosity. “I have my ways. You should already know that I have my own connections around these parts. Besides…”

You watched with widened eyes as Leander reached over, and with one big hand, his fingertips pinched the end of one of the flowers. The subtle white and the graceful curve of the lily petal looked like freshly fallen snow against Leander’s calloused hands and dark clothes, the contrast striking and lovely enough to render you almost breathless. 

“...It’s only fitting that a gentleman brings his beloved a gift of flowers, don’t you think?” He chuckled in the usual way he always did, and the mindful sound set you at ease somewhat. Gift or not, you’d be lying if you said that being gifted flowers wasn’t special.

“Thank you. They’re beautiful.” You brought the bouquet to your face, and you were welcomed with the sweet scent of the lilies. Leander remained one of the very few people you could touch with your bare hands without any drastic consequences, and yet, you knew deep down that as desperate as you were to fulfill the incessant craving for human touch, it would be horrendously unfair of you to hoard so much of his time just so you can let your hands wander all over the human body that you had been deprived of your entire life.

Leander grinned, his green eyes sparkling with delight. “Seeing you like it makes it worth my time. Although I hope you don’t take too much of a preference for them. It would make me a little sad if my magic lost its place in your heart now that you’ve seen the real deal.”

You balked, whirling your head towards Leander. “I’d never! Your flowers are something special. I don’t think an infinite supply of actual lilies could replace yours. I still remember my first night in Eridia and how I felt when you offered your flowers to me for the first time. I thought my heart stopped right there and then.”

“Now you’re just flattering me,” Leander laughed again. “Not that I mind. Praise from you is something I cherish moreso than anything else.”

There certainly were moments where you wished you could see what exactly went behind Leander’s mind. You liked him dearly, maybe even bordering on the cusp of infatuation at times, yet like any experienced resident of Lowtown, Leander kept his secrets close only to himself. Even with his friendly facade and his insistence that you give him your trust, you had a hard time following his true intentions every now and then.

It wasn’t enough to make you doubt his loyalty to you. But it was enough to pique your morbid curiosity at times, to make you want to peel back the gentlemanly act he puts on for you to see what kind of man actually laid in wait underneath.

“Prettiness aside, I found out something interesting that I thought you’d appreciate.” His words shake you from your thoughts, and you find yourself face to face with Leander again. You wondered what kind of experiences he must have to develop the natural charisma that he possesses, every sentence of his ensnaring you like a siren’s song. He gestured towards the flowers. “I’ve heard that flower petals feel similar to human skin.”

Your heart skips a beat. Your breath weighed heavy in the back of your throat and on your tongue.

“They do?”

“Mhm. Why don’t you see for yourself?” He hummed. You’ve never been too good at hiding your emotions, even less so with Leander, who could read your true intentions as if you explicitly told them to him. You leaned the flowers into the crook of your elbow before you tugged cautiously at your bandages. 

The white strips bled away into the mangled flesh and golden cracks, and you held your breath. Carefully and cautiously, you brushed your knuckles against the underside of one of the lily flowers, and a sickening shiver ran down your spine.

The petals were soft. So, so, so insanely soft. Delicate, with minuscule veins crisscrossing the bottom, you swore your heart stopped in your chest.

Leander was right.

“They do,” you breathed, stunned. You turned to him with eyes bewitched and shock scribbled all over your face. 

Leander’s face melted into a fond smile, the corners of his eyes crinkling. “I told you, didn’t I? Ever since you told me about your curse and touched me, I realized how little you must have touched others. How much trust it took for you to take that step with me. I know I’ve offered you the chance to touch me whenever you need it, but I get that that’s not an easy thing to ask for. So I figured that I would try to find the next best thing—something that won’t hurt anyone.”

“I-,” your voice caught in the back of your throat. Emotion bubbled up inside of your chest. You were no more than a stranger to Leander, an outsider who dragged their feet into Eridia with nothing but a single strand of hope towards solving your affliction, yet here he was, going out of his way to make sure that you could savor the same, trivial happiness that others took for granted. “You don’t need to do so much for me. I don’t know what to say… I mean, thank you, really.”

“The pleasure is all mine.” His voice dropped down to a low cadence. His gaze was fixed on you as you continued to stroke and pinch the petals the same way he did. 

Your fingers kept curling around and savoring the sensation of something so soft and welcoming against your own skin. It wasn’t anything compared to the actual feeling of flesh and bone underneath you, the same warmth and tension that came with brushing your fingers over Leander’s hands, but if this was the closest you could get without hurting others, you’d be a fool not to take the rare opportunity.

“They feel like you, kind of,” you said. It’s your turn to offer Leander a small grin, and your face lit up like that of a kid in a candy shop. Innocent and pure, a breath of fresh air in comparison to the muck and grime that Leander is used to being stifled by. 

“Do they?”

“Not as good, of course!” You blurted awkwardly, shaking your hands. “Nothing could feel better than actually touching you-”

-Leander raised a teasing eyebrow, and a tiny chuckle escaped the man. Heat flooded your cheeks, and you groaned, shaking your head and immediately backtracking.

“...Don’t take it the wrong way,” you grumbled. “Otherwise you’ll be just as bad as Vere.”

“I won’t push my luck then,” the man easily laughed, “But it’s good to hear that you have such a particular fondness for me. I really wish I could spend more time with you throughout the day. If only I could, I’d let you put your hands over me whenever and wherever you want—all in good faith, of course.”

“Just… forget I said anything,” you mumbled, wanting to bury your face into the bouquet of lilies. Leander laughed heartily again, and he turned on his heel, giving you a small wave in farewell before disappearing back to whatever he had been up to before he had come to you. Being the leader of the Bloodhounds must be no easy task. It was awfully kind of him to take time out of his busy day to accommodate you.

Not that Leander ever minded. Even as he walked away from you, his perfect facade working wonders at getting you to drop your guard around him, the man can’t help but let his mind run wild.

Your fingers wandered across the pretty lily petals. They’re his flowers, an extension of who he was. A perfect extension of him. His devotion, his sympathy, and his faith: all ephemeral suggestions of his love. Dignified and lethal. Your cluelessness was enough to drive him insane. You have no clue the influence you have over him, and yet, you kept stroking the flowers with the same tentativeness and visceral need that you did with him.

Leander could see the scene clearly in his head. Your fingertips followed the end of the petal towards the inside of the blossoms, from the broad curves of his chest and lower towards the hardened muscles of his abdomen. Would you touch him with the very admiration you showed the petals? Or would it be something more carnal, demanding that he reveal more of himself to sate you?

Or maybe it’d be something more romantic. His sultry eyes lowered into a more darkened look. You might raise the flowers to your face, and you’d take in the scent of the flowers, his presence embedded into the core of every single lily. The curved petals would brush against the tip of your nose and the graceful curve of your cheeks.

Maybe, just maybe, you might even press your lips against the flesh-like petals.

The thought made Leander want to go crazy with desire. Something deep and dark inside of him stirred dangerously. This world was determined to snuff you out without any fanfare, to the point that even the smallest sparks of joy were enough to tempt you out from the light and towards a fate far murkier than the one fate had in store for you. After having been deprived for what must be your entire life, the little things must taste that much sweeter to you.

But it was entirely alright.

Denial only makes the desire harder to stave off, and absence only makes the heart fonder. The flowers were nothing more than a temporary fix. Perhaps enough to get you hooked on the feeling of human touch, the same thing you’ve learned to live without out of sheer necessity. Now that you’ve had a sampling, it would only be natural that you’d follow the fleeting rapture like a starved madman. 

And Leander would gladly be waiting at the end of the descent, arms wide open, for you to accept.

For you to love.

For you to touch.

“Have you no appreciation for pause and effect, Jude? Maybe we’ll just start calling you Crudey Hoffs instead, hmm?” Hanson had absolutely no real feelings of indignation from Judy’s eagerness to hear the rest of the poem; he just saw an opportunity to tease her and seized it. But actually, he loved whenever they took an interest in each other hobbies and activities outside of the necessary lies they both were mired in due to making a living out of undercover detecting.

Tom cleared his throat, proceeding to recite.

“... In the night, the stormy night, away she'd fly, dream of paradise. And so lying underneath those stormy skies, she’d say,” Cue his high-pitched girly voice, “ ‘Oh, I know the sun must set to rise!’...” End girly voice. “This could be paradise... Being awoken to the vibration of my phone was annoying to say the least, my head hurt, my eyes were watery and puffy, and my nose was runny and slightly blocked. 

"Hello?" I croaked, 

"Y/n? Are you okay, why do you sound like that?" Peter's voice came through the other end,

"oh, hey Pete, I'm fine, I just woke up."

"Okay, well, I'm about to come over," 

"By that do you mean like a normal person would, or do you mean swing over?"

There was a pause,

"Does it matter?" 

I slightly smile, "No, but I'm sorry you can't come over,"

"Excuse me?" 

"Not today Peter," I say as kindly I can,

"I've never been told I can't come see you y/n, this is like freaking me out what do I do if I can't see you-"

"Bye Pete, love you." I say needing to blow my nose badly,

"No y/n wait-!"

Hanging up, I reach over to the tissue box my mum bought this morning, although they feel soft of my hands they feel rough on my red nose from doing it so many times.

To sum up how I feel is the word eugh.

An hour later I had fallen asleep watching a movie on my laptop, so failed to hear the gentle knock on my window. The knock was louder the second time, and a little louder the third time.

With a crying groan I sat up, squinting my eyes to the window in my dark room, Peter?

There he crouched on the fire escape, spider suit on, mask in hand.

I peeled the blankets off of me and got up, seeing white for a second as I regained my balance, obviously I got up too fast.

Window now open I spoke, 

"Peter, what are you doing? I said not today."

"I've never been told that by you! You can't just expect me to stay home and not see you all day," he waves his hands around, and you feel the need to sneeze, 

don't look at the light, don't look at the light, don't look at anything light.

Well, too late, you turn around and sneeze into your arm. Ah frick. Gross.

You race to get a clean shirt, that being an oversized t shirt. After getting changed and throwing your pajama top in the wash Peter now sits on your bed in the dark room.

"Are you sick?" 

You give up on acting as though you're not, he basically knows now anyways.

"Yeah,"

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"Becuase I knew you would want to come over and take care of me, as sweet as that is I don't want you getting sick as well." 

"Well I don't care about getting sick, c'mere," he opens his arms up,

"Uh uh, you're not getting sick because of me, it's a really bad cold." 

"Exactly why I should comfort you." 

"No."

"Yes."

I begin walking put my door, to which Peter puts a stop to by shooting a web and pulling you back. 

"You wanna watch movie?" He asks once he has you sat in his lap, chin resting on your shoulder.

"Already watched one."

"Do you want snacks?" 

"Don't feel like it."

"Cuddles?" 

"Nope."

He puffs his cheeks and blows the air out.

I make a move to get out of his embrace,

"No." He tightens his grip around you, leaning slightly to get to back in place.

"I need to blow my nose," he narrows his eyes at you suspiciously but allows you to get the tissues. Once done you lie back onto the bed, 

"Hey," the boy whines, 

"You can stay, but we're gonna keep our distance so you have a better chance of not getting sick." 

He doesn't look happy.

"Can you imagine spiderman being sick? You would have to swing through cold wind, and fight people with a stuffy nose, not to mention the mask feeling disgusting and getting other people sick,"

"Don't care." He webs the box of tissues to you, and suddenly you need to sneeze, so you take one just before you do.

"How did you-"

"Spidey senses." 

"Thank you,"

"You wanna repay me?"

"By doing what?" 

"Cuddles,"

"No Peter."

I had been playing pocketlove on my phone for the past while while Peter had a shower because I "so rudely refused to do anything with him". 

A knock on my door made me lift my head up, mum appeared checking if I'm okay, 

"You alright hun?" 

"Yeah, thank you," 

"I'll be in the lounge if you want anything," 

I smiled at her and she closed the door, one second later another opened and Peter walked out with wet hair, he walked to my clothes draws and rummaged through them, 

"You can turn the light on if you want, 

"No its okay, do you still have one of my hoodies here?" 

I scoff, "check the third draw," 

As he does five hoodies come into view and he gasps, 

"I wondered where this was!" He holds up the last one I stole, he yanks it over his head and it falls a little below his waist, Peter also bought oversized things, just not as much as you.

I tap on my phone bringing up my heartstopper lockscreen, and also the time, 3:02. 

"Quiet day on crime huh?" 

At this Peter looks a little guilty, 

"I don't know,"

"Aren't you a little obsessed with this stuff?" 

"Wha- pft no," 

He crosses his arms playing it off, 

"Yesterday you were looking for stuff to help with, and stopped a guy from stealing a bag of sweets." 

"It was a bad thing to do!" He defended, 

"I would have done it,"

He collapses onto the bed, 

"You put on the spidersuit just to do it-" 

"okayokayokay, shhh." He holds his hand against your mouth,

"get off, my germs are going to spread onto your hand," your words echo a bit, and he rests his hand back by his side,

"You needa wash them now," 

He sighs and goes to the bathroom, leaving you and pocketlove to spend quality time together.

Peter emerges from the bathroom one minute later, "what're you doing?" He lies on the bed behind your back, 

"PocketLove," You say eyes intently focused on the game, 

"Do you want food ye-"

"Shh, I'm going on a date with my partner," 

"Well alright then." He fauns being deeply hurt, 

"You could download it, actually please do." 

"Okay, gimme a sec," 

He shoots a web to his phone lying on your desk.

A few minutes later and he's chosen his character, 

"What should I name my boyfriend?" 

"Uhmm, Jupiter? 

"Jupiter it is."

Both of you were very focused on the game, obviously Peter had taken a liking to it as well, 

"Can I see your house?" He rested his chon in the crook of your neck while you lie on your side.

"C'mere," You shuffled around so he could lie his head on your chest. 

"I originally had a normal house but I decided to recreate places from heartstopper." 

"oh no-" 

Peter webbed a tissue to you, 

ACHOO

"Thank you," your voice came out croaky.

"Back to your house?" 

"You're going to get sick." You whine, 

"What places in heartstopper?" 

You were a little obsessed with the comic and now series, and he knew this, he also knew asking about it would get you ranting about it which is exactly why he did it.

"Okay so, this room is from Charlie's birthday at the arcade, and this is the cinema, I haven't got all of the stuff for it yet,"

"Oh my god it's amazing,"

"and lastly the uncompleted beach room." 

You seemed pretty proud, and for good reason.

"Its amazing. My house has plants, chairs a bed and a frog mat."

"Oh! I still have that," 

"It must have taken so long to get all this stuff,"

"It did." You smile, 

"Oh sorry Pete, sit up for a minute,"

He reluctantly does as you asked and you turn away coughing into your arm. 

"D'you want some water?" 

"Yeah I probably should." You get up and walk towards the door, 

"Huh? Wait no! I meant it would get it," 

He quickly scoots off the bed,��

"Just come with me," You walk out into the light and he trails behind you like a puppy.

"Peter, I didn't know you were here!" Your mum says, rather surprised from the couch, Peter flinches a little not knowing she was there.

"Haha yeah, I'm here." 

"But I didn't see you come through the door-"

"Hey mum, do we have any lemons?" You intervene, relieving Peter.

"Yeah in the bowl on the bench hun."

"Thanks." You croak out feeling worse again.

Squeezing the lemon juice into the water you try to make sure no seeds get in it. Turning around you see Peter, arms filled with snacks, ready to go.

"Just in case." He defends himself.

"Okay let's go I need to blow my nose." 

Back in your dark room Peter let's the snacks fall onto the bed and you get a tissue your head was pounding and you felt very sick again. 

"Can we cuddle?" You finally give in wanting to feel love and comfort,

"Really?" Peter's face lights up and you nod, without wasting time he fell onto the bed taking you with him,

"Pete," 

"Sorry."

A little more gentle this time, you two got comfortable, Peter's arm was under you allowing you to lie on it and his other was wrapped around you.

"Do you wanna watch Narnia?"

"Mhm." You sigh, 

Peter shoots a web to your laptop lying on the ground then sitting right on his lap, "what's your password?"

"That's top secret information." 

"Y/n what's your password."

"Itsallbanterinit"

"You're crazy," 

"There's no helping my obsession Peter,"

He grins and squeezes you with his arm lying under you.

"Is it on disney+?" 

"Yeah I think so." 

The comforting movie starts playing and you already feel better, but still sick.

As Lucy meets Mr tumnus you feel the presence of marshmallows calling you from the end of your bed, trying to ignore the urge doesn't work, 

"Petee,"

"Yeah?"

"Marshmallows? Please?" Once again he uses those amazing webs of his and pulls the packet right to you.

"Thank you love." You kiss his cheek, 

"Wow so now you're trying to get me sick?" 

"No I'm sorry I just thought-" 

"No wait wait I'm sorry, I was kidding!" 

You let out a quiet, wheezy sigh, one second later sirens sound from below, on the roads, 

"You gonna go spider man?" 

"And leave you? The chances of that are very unlikely." 

"Wow, an avenger, not doing his job so he could take care of me, I'm in love." 

He scrunches his nose in a dorky little grin looking at you, 

"Edmund made me want a Turkish delight." 

"Would you trade me to the white witch for one?"

"Yeah probably." Peter gasped,

"Sorry Peter you know I love them, and you know I got slytherin in the pottermore quiz." 

"Yes yes okay."

"In fact I would probably trade you for her coat too."

"Okay I get it."

"Maybe even her crown."
