Kalim bursts into Jamil’s room like the force of a thousand winds was behind him, causing Jamil to nearly jump out of his skin and drop the book he was holding. Jamil sucks in a quiet breath as the book just barely misses his feet, and turns his ire to the frantic Housewarden.

“Jamil, please! You’ve got to help me!” Kalim squawks, eyes wide as he flails around the room like a caged bird being set free for the first time in months, “I don’t know what to do!”

“Calm down, Kalim!” Jamil hisses, taking a pillow off the bed and whipping it in the boy’s direction. It hits him square in the chest, and Kalim falls over with a soft “oof!” as he hits the carpeted floors. Jamil rolls his eyes and sits in front of him, brow furrowed as Kalim thrashes around on the floor.

“It’s so muuuuch, I don’t know what to do! I can’t take it anymore!” he yells, squeezing the pillow to his chest like a lifeline.

Jamil sighs heavily. This is going to be a long night.

“Okay. Tell me. What’s going on?” Jamil asks, crossing his legs and staring, unimpressed at the mini temper tantrum Kalim was throwing.

“So I invited the Prefect over for dinner, right? And they sat next to me and they looked so nice because they weren’t wearing their uniform, not that they look bad when they are, it’s just that their casual clothes were a nice change of pace! And they were so sweet and tried so many dishes I recommended and they even rested on my shoulder when they got tired, and when I asked if they wanted to go on my magic carpet and ride around the dorm they said yes and when we were shooting through the sky they kept acting weird and scooting closer and they looked so nervous so I asked what was wrong but then they just placed their hand right over mine and looked away and-!” Kalim screams loudly into the pillow and Jamil feels a headache coming on, “They looked so cute! And I didn’t do anything and I don’t want them to think I hated it but I was so nervous and I couldn’t do anything so I didn’t and-! Grah! Jamil, help! Please help! I don’t want them to think that they weirded me out! Please, you’ve got to help me!”

“Do you...like them?” Jamil deadpans, raising a brow as Kalim’s worried frown turns into a wobbly, lovesick smile.

Oh dear.

“You should go talk to them, not me. I can only give you so much advice.” he sighs, shaking his head.

“You’re so right, Jamil! I’ll go talk to them right away!” Kalim cheers, jolting up from his spot on the soft carpet with a huge smile on his face, “I’ll go see them right now!”

And before Jamil can say another word, Kalim bolts out of his room and down the hall, laughing the whole way. Jamil can only pity you.

SO much of ES!Sam's life up to that point is feeling like the odd one out!

when it's just dean and sam, i think sam doesn't feel like he has to try to fit in as hard. when dean's trying to impress/ingratiate himself with dad? for sure. those awkward few hunts after stanford? 100%

but when it's just dean and sam, they might fight and get snippy, but sam doesn't have to put up a front. he doesn't have to put on airs. in fact, we see a couple times in the show that when sam's trying to be something he's not with dean, it's to protect him/protect his feelings.

so for ES!Sam, to have that safe space (lol pardon the phrase) GONE--sam's only completely authentic space (bc even with jess, he had to hide huge parts of himself)--

it would definitely put him off-balance. to sam, dean is choosing a different, better version of sam. ES!Sam felt safe being his own bitchy self with dean, but to have ES!Dean so clearly prefer a version of sam with all that removed, i wouldn't be surprised if ES!Sam felt the pressure to change to meet ES!Dean's new preferences.

which of course he resents! sam spent so much of his life being told to change: by dad, by dean, by other hunters, by himself.

to find out that your only true safe place to land can, does, and will prefer a seemingly faultless version of yourself?? bro. immediately confusing and devastating.

and even outside of the meta-dynamic of their relationship, ES!Sam is confused! and scared!

because he's also in love with dean. so to be usurped so easily both platonically and romantically?? GRAH! it drives sam crazy!

because he's not even sure which parts he's "allowed" to be mad about. he's not sure if glaring at the space where LS!Sam has his knee pressed against ES!Dean's in the car is an "acceptable" platonic jealousy, or if it's part of his sick-wrong-bad possessiveness that ES!Dean is his.

he's not sure if wanting to rip off LS!Sam's face for making ES!Dean laugh like that is annoyance that ES!Sam's superpower is communal or fury that ES!Dean is capable of belonging to someone else.

he's afraid of coming out and saying a lot of it, because what if it's too revealing?? what if he missteps and ES!Dean recognizes that ES!Sam's agonized ire is because he wants to suck his cock until he can't see straight?

he's annoyed and he's mad and he's upset, but bottling it up is all ES!Sam really knows how to do unless he wants to bring their house of cards down!

as for comfort, i think ES!Dean at first would not recognize this at all, lmao. for all ES!Dean's attentiveness to the changes in ES!Sam's moods and needs, he thinks he's just being a little bitch about the whole thing (his regrettable choice of words, not mine).

like c'mon, we're both weirded-out by this whole thing. we're in this together! and being rude to LS!Sam&Dean is not going to change our situation. dean does not take slights to sam lightly, even if the person slighting LS!Sam is ES!Sam.

i think it would take something stronger for ES!Dean to realize that ES!Sam's feelings are genuinely hurt--or at least confused--about the whole thing. ES!Sam avoids him like the plague, and these men do not sit down to talk about feelings, lmao.

maybe ES!Dean stumbles in on LS!Dean & ES!Sam talking, and LS!Dean is obviously comforting him, hand on the back of his neck, and ES!Sam's got a pink nose and shiny eyes and ES!Dean kind of blows up, because what the fuck did you say to him? what's going on in here?

LS!Dean rolls his eyes and shoves him off like go talk to your kid. i'm not here to mediate your bitchfits.

maybe it finally comes out later, ES!Sam not really able to look dean in the eyes, that he's sick of dean being so whipped for LS!Sam, and since when did dean need other brothers?

ES!Dean doesn't know how to express the fact that he's so taken with LS!Sam because this is a brother that wants him back! that needs him back! LS!Sam loves the hunt and he loves dean, and he's not shy about either of those things! if LS!Sam has free time, he spends it with dean. if LS!Sam is bored, he goes to look for dean. ES!Dean is thrilled by the promise of that future, of a sam who is gorgeous and strong and sexy as fuck and wants dean!!!

so he fumbles his way through it like "c'mon, sammy. he's you."

"is he, though? he's...i don't know. it's hard to recognize myself in him. he's...different....than i thought he would be. i guess."

ES!Sam doesn't know how to say that out of the four of them, he's the only one that feels Other. he wants to be part of this, but they don't make it easy.

ES!Sam doesn't know how to navigate on the outside of the Sam&Dean dynamic. he is the Sam in the Sam&Dean dynamic--he's realizing how strange and alienating it is to be not Sam or Dean in that, and he hates it.

"you think i'd put up with some guy that wasn't you?" dean scoffs, and they both kind of stare at each other for a second, because that was dangerously close to the truth.

"listen," ES!Dean follows up quickly, because he's not willing to let those words sit in the air too long, for the off-chance that ES!Sam will have time to process them. "you're my sam, okay? my pain in the ass little brother. this guy is sam, but he's that dean's sam. so. y'know. they're not us. or ours, or...whatever. you're still the little shit i'm gonna bug first."

it's tense for a long moment, unsure if that was too honest, too revealing. ES!Sam's still breathing a little fast, and ES!Dean keeps shifting on his feet.

"you're an asshole." ES!Sam finally says, exhaling, looking genuinely un-strung for the first time in weeks, and ES!Dean practically slumps forward in relief.

"aw, sammy. you sure know how to make a girl blush." he coos, and ES!Sam swats him away, all it's sam, you know it's sam.

and ES!Dean is smiling and rolling his eyes and his hands are still shaking under the table like yeah, yeah, whatever you say.

GAH!!!!!!!!!!!! jealous sam! devastated sam!!! isolated sam!!!

Barry walked around the office with a smile on his face as he searched for you, knowing you'd probably be in one of the many small briefing rooms. His hunch was correct as he noticed your familiar form hunched over the table with files scattered around. The door was open, but he knocked on it anyway before entering, noticing how your head immediately snapped in the direction of the noise. Your tired eyes lit up as you recognized his face, "Hey baby." Barry's smile widened at the sound of the familiar nickname. "Hey, I brought you some tea." He walked closer to you, placing the cup on the table while being mindful of the mound of papers that were scattered about. You turned in your office chair watching as he took place in between your legs. Leaning down, he cupped your face in his hand and pecked your lips before caressing your skin. "How's my handsome man doing?" He asked and you sighed, leaning into his hand as you collected your thoughts. "This case, it's pretty..heavy..." You frowned and Barry mimicked your expression. "I know, that's why I came to check up on you." Though it was pretty unprofessional, he sat down in your lap, turning his body so that he could still face you. Now both hands caressed your face, smoothing your frown out a bit. You gave him a pity smile, "sorry, family annihilator cases are always kind of hard for me." Your smile grew at the peck that was placed on your temple. "It's ok babe- they can get pretty graphic and that's why I have to check up on you sometimes and make sure you're ok." You let out a nose laugh, looking in Barry's eyes you grabbed one of his hands from off of your face, pressing a sweet kiss to it. "Thank you," "ahh it's nothing".

My first impression: i’m being so so serious when i say i had to pause milo’s first audio pretty much immediately after he started talking because his accent made me blush LMFAO it’s like he was built for me in a fuckin lab. werewolf with a ny/nj accent, the cockiness and bitchiness with just that hint of a soft side near the end when he talks about wanting dahlia to stay safe, and the FLIRTINESS my god. and that was ONE AUDIO LMAO that’s not even getting into everything else he has going on that felt tailored to me (*cough*heatingupinthebedroom*cough*) 🫠💖 

My impression now: unchanged baby he has been my number one since day one!!! not that this is surprising to anyone given my blog theme 🤣 i may not talk about him all the time but he’s never losing top spot in my heart. i’ve gotten butterflies from a handful of moments across the redactedverse but nothing that stuck with me as hard as the panic attack audio did, and he still makes me kick my feet and twirl my hair whenever he gets all sweet 💘 he’s truly the redacted love of my life

A favorite thing: as a massive horror media enjoyer, i think it’s so cute that he’s a little scaredy cat when it comes to ghosts and demons. the gameplay vids are super immersive for me bc whenever he jumps at something i start giggling and then he tells sweetheart to shut up for also giggling LMAO 

Least favorite thing: nothing. he’s the most perfect man ever. actually no least favorite thing is that he doesn’t talk abt his family enough !! i wanna know more about his family life so badly after the “worried about you” audio 😫 i wanna know more about marie other than that she likes ghostbusters and nags his ear off when he gets himself hurt and i wanna really dig into his feelings for his previously alcoholic/gambling addict father

Favorite interaction they have with another: AHHH THE ASHER MOUNTAIN INCIDENT. ok ok i’ve talked abt this before but i’m gonna say it again bc it always bears repeating. this was i think the first time we’ve heard about him shifting after regaining the ability post-inversion and it made me actually cry bc it was just two best friends having stupid fun together as shifters 😭😭 like even though milo came out of it injured he still got to wolf out and fuck around with asher and that makes me sooo happy for him after suffering through those 5-6 months being unable to shift

A character that I wish they would interact with more: DARLIN PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE erik i’m on my knees!!! darlin’s gotten audios with david and asher, when will it be milo’s turn!! i’ve thought a lot about them as teens and how they got on and how they navigated being sort of the odd ones out wrt their family dynamics vs david and asher’s + how the pack meeting with darlin went ☹️ i need them to get a one on one audio

A headcanon: aggro is a black cat that milo adopted from a shelter specifically because of the stigma surrounding black cats. people think they’re unlucky or evil or whatever but aggro is the sweetest little thing and he was just a little baby who had been there for probably a month or two and when milo came around, there was an instant connection 🥺 i also think that if he wasn’t already a registered ESA then they definitely would’ve gotten it done post-inversion. milo doesn’t typically take him anywhere but sometimes sweetheart will take him with them to the office; he even has a cute little ESA vest 🥰

GRAH. this is hard to answer bc theyr hard to sum up.. i have my main most developed ocs; budgie, reneta & lion.. aannndd my fav oc group; aksel, jørgen, wolfgang, szlomo, erik & thomas. theyr a 2nd wave inspired black metal group..

icant rlly casually explain budgie n reneta so uhh,

aksel started his band, behead, with jørgen & wolfgang joined shortly after bc he's real close w jørgen since she's multilingual n translates for him all the time. wolfie only speaks german n vaguely understands some norwegian. not long into the band wolfie gets diagnosed with fatal insomnia & it slowly kills him., they bury him in the backyard of the house theyr sharing since they can't afford anything fancy or to even contact his family in germany. eventually they hire some rando (erik) as their replacement drummer. but erik actually hates drumming n really dreams of being a dsbm vocalist. so he sorta wears down jørgen n aksel til they let him take over as singer and band leader. one of the key moments for him in behead is him cutting down wolfies grave marker w an axe, in protest of all jørgens 'this isn't what he wldve wanted' arguements. but eriks shit at singing and his dsbm style clashes with the rest of beheads theme. on top of that he signs them to his older brothers record label, even tho thomas is (known only to erik at the time) a murderer. it all destroys the band over a couple years n they split up for good & erik moves onto whatever other bands later on.

szlomo matters bc in the early days he's beheads artist n biggest groupie basically. he designs their merch n logos., despite kinda being blind as shit. he was born w polychoria, a cleft lip & really messed up teeth bc his parents (czeslaw & kasia) are siblings. hes visually based on hellhorse's decade of dust album cover. plus his old pet owl's name is decade. he met behead thru jørgen, they were online friends for years. when jørgen moved from denmark to norway, szlomo moved frm poland with her.

ilove szlomo bc his design is so unique and idk. he's cute. he's real clumsy bc of his eyesight, he doesn't wear glasses or contacts plus he wears his hair over his face. he's a really joyous creature.

aksel can look pretty tough and metal but he's actually a really big softie.. he's got a kind heart n is pretty emotional, he mostly just misses his little sister, who moved to america to join her own band. they grew up with an abusive father n absent mother so he's really protective of her.

thomas and erik r lowkey visually & slightly personality-wise based on craig mabbit and ronnie radke.. tho thomas is a lot angrier than craig. both brothers have severe anger issues and narcissistic traits. iirc thomas murdered @decemberhigherpower's bm oc, kristian, in uhhh 2001 ? and only got caught for it around the time behead split up. so like 2006 ? ithink ??

S/O is super, super cuddly, like they could spend hours upon hours just... Laying there with a ton of pillows and blankets, not even sleeping, just being a cute, lazy blob. Their favourite thing to do, though, is to snuggle up to their partner, rest their head on their shoulder and wrap their arms around them for a long period of time. Whether they're watching anything on the TV or just cuddling together, it's their absolute favourite pastime.

What would Zizz, Grimbly and Patches think?

Zizz obviously sees this as a good sign. A small part of him is very glad you don't have extremely strenuous hobbies or a desire to always be moving around. As the King of Sloth, you can trust this huge demon to show you the most interesting programs and movies, you'll always have something new to watch with him around, no matter the genre. He's also very skeptical about your "nest", as the quality of what you have to wrap yourself in will likely not impress the demonlord. You'll get dragged into his room, seated on his lap as he swaddles you two in several blankets and tosses his biggest, most comfortable pillows at you. Now this is a proper nest, learn from him.

That's mostly how Grimbly de-stresses after a long day of work, so he's glad you can see the appeal in it too! He's only got one thing to add to your whole set-up- Ice cream. Lots of it, all kinds of flavors, good enough you'll both get brain freezes. The bat will wedge himself inside your blanket cocooon and purr like a kitten as he asks what kind of romance flicks or comedies you'd recommend to him. You can also try horror, Grimbly will take any excuse to cling to you during intense scenes. All things considered, he may fall asleep faster than you.

Patches isn't used to lazing around like that. He's a fairly nervous man that keeps himself busy more often than not. Even when he's got nothing to do, you can see the dullahan's still in his head thinking about something or other- He definitely envious your ability to relax so easily. You might have to be the one to tug him out of his work and into the blanket pile. Make sure to trap him under pillows or just steal his head so he can't go anywhere. He needs a break, after all. After he gets a good nap cuddled next to you, Patches will probably thank you for taking care of him when he's too stubborn to do so himself.
