Pete-r Pan, that's what they call me and I promise that you'll never be lonely.
I've had this thought for a couple weeks. You all know how Pete is the shortened version of the name Peter? So now I present to you, Pete as Peter Pan and Vegas as his Lost Boy (I feel like both Vegas and Pete share some characteristics of Wendy Darling).
Song used in this post: Lost Boy by Ruth B
Tumblr media
I am a Lost Boy from Neverland / Usually hanging out with Peter Pan / And when we're bored, we play in the woods / Always on the run from Captain Hook
Let's start with a bit about Peter Pan. He's a boy who never wanted to grow up. A symbol for eternal youth. Shared consensus is that Peter Pan was afraid of the responsibilities of growing up, but the theories of him and the lost boys being abandoned/abused children who found a safe haven in Neverland, explain so much more.
Pete shows characteristics of still maintaining a childish aura, yet he is clearly a man who has had complex experiences and come out with a sharp view of the world. He has suffered abuse and he's the Peter Pan who grew up. Hence, no longer Peter, but a shortened version to (in a way) show the loss of what Peter Pan always wanted. To stay young forever.
Pete believes that there is no evil and no good in this world. He lives in a world of grey, wheareas Peter Pan is generally seen as the good guy who always defeats Captain Hook. But who would he grow up to be? In a world full of Captain Hooks and lost boys, what would he believe, how will everything seem to him from the eyes of an adult? How would it change him when he realises that his own father is Captain Hook (and what is Peter Pan if not another lost boy?)
Pete has a keen understanding of the behaviour of adults that seems to be in sharp contrast to the young Peter who is more rash and emotional (as expected of a teen) and so his behaviour towards the 'lost boy'/Vegas is understanding and empathy. This is also why I feel like Pete is a lovely representation of Wendy Darling who carries empathy along with a steel resolve in her. Basically, if Peter had chosen to grow up with Wendy, their future child would have been Pete (and oh let me take a break to cry over my heartache for the ship that never happened)
A little theory which could totally be false. Peter Pan will always defeat Captain Hook/Kan/Pete's father. He has already won his battle against his own personal Captain Hook, his father. But will he also kill Kan, thus freeing the lost boy/Vegas? Or will he simply show the lost boy a path to defeat his own Captian Hook? Let's see (no spoilers please).
Now onto our lost boy/Vegas.
Tumblr media
He sprinkled me in pixie dust and told me to believe / Believe in him and believe in me / Together, we will fly away in a cloud of green / To your beautiful destiny
The lost boys are children that Peter Pan rescues and brings to Neverland.
While in this case, it is Vegas who has brought Pete to another location, it is Pete who has converted it into their Neverland. Who has turned this little room into a safe haven where Vegas can come and confess that he is hurt, but it somehow hurts less. He doesn't know yet, but it is the effect of Pete/Peter Pan who provides safety and protection to the lost boys.
Neverland is home to Lost Boys like me / And Lost Boys like me are free / Neverland is home to Lost Boys like me / And Lost Boys like me are free
While their fears and traumas might never truly go away, they fade when Peter Pan is with them who encourages them to fight Captain Hook and not be scared of their abusers. Who frees them. In the same way, Pete teaches Vegas about the reality of his abuser's mind, thus releasing him from the guilt of being a bad son. Of feeling like it's always his fault.
Pete 'sprinkles him in pixie dust' (and oh what a beautiful line Ruth B!), he shows him the truth and makes him believe. Believe that the ones who suck are not us, not the kids who will never deserve such treatment, but the adults who takes out the anger of their own failings on a child. And Vegas believes, not just the truth, but he believes Pete whose words are now forever imprinted in his heart.
As for why Vegas reminds me of Wendy Darling. She had a steel resolve. She did like Peter, but that didn't stop her from going back and living the way she wanted. In VegasPete's case, that could allude more to tragedy if Vegas holds on to his hatred for the major family (and god I dont want it for them, but I want Vegas to suffer, but more than that I want peace for my boy Pete).
And that is all for the post! Here's a pic that makes me cry. This family, when?!

Day 2
Song that goes with this chapter
PREVIOUS
"You know... day 2 wasn't that interesting. But it was also the day we realized that like, holy shit... We're stuck on an island together. Our plane actually crashed..."
•••••
"Who's gonna wake her up?" Dot asked as she looked over at your sleeping form. Everyone had kind of slept close together, except for you. You set your self up maybe 15 steps away from everyone else. "You go do it Dot not like you've had a problem with waking me up." Fatin says with an eye roll. Dot gives Fatin a look before walking over to you. Toni and Martha shared a concern look, it wasn't like you to separate yourself from people like that especially since you were in and unknown place. The first time you spent the night at Martha's house, you clung to Toni like a koala because it was a new environment and you didn't feel safe yet.
Dot stood over you, "y/n... y/n... y/n!" Dot yelled trying to wake you up. "You gotta shake her awake, she's a heavy sleeper!" Toni yelled from the group. Dot groaned before leaning down over you and grabbing your bicep. Almost immediately you sit up fast and punch Dot straight in the face. "Yo what the fuck was that!?" Dot yelled as she leaned back, the other girls had stood up to when they saw you throw a fist at Dot. Dot doesn't really hear a response and looks down to see you panicking. "I'm not there, I'm not there... Sand, sand... I'm on an island I'm not there, I'm safe." You keep mumbling over and over again as you grab at the front of your shirt trying to catch you breath. You were trying so hard to stop the panic attack that you could feel coming.
"Uhh, y/n?" Dot asked carefully, not making any movements that could set you off. The girls could see you were struggling to catch your breathe but they had no idea what to do. Toni felt a light push on her back and turned around to see Martha looking at her with a begging look. Martha didn't know the exact details of your falling out but she knew Toni still held feelings for you, even if she tried to deny it. Toni nodded her head at Martha before walking over to you. Everyone held there breathe as they watched her walk up to you, it was made very obvious on the plane that you and Toni had some type of history.
Toni gets on her knees on the other side of you, across from Dot, and reaches out slowly to put her hand on your knee. "Y/n, I need you to look at me and take deep breathes." Toni says as her hand connects with your knee. As soon as it does, you stop grabbing your shirt and start to latch onto Toni's, hoping she can bring you back down to earth like an anchor. Toni wraps her arms around you and pulls you onto her lap. "I got you, I got you... Just breathe for me please." Toni whispers into your hair as she holds you. It feels weird, having you back in her arms. Toni missed you a lot more than she was willing to admit. It was also weird to feel where your leg ended. She could feel one leg lay across hers and the other one just stopped. You were finally able to catch your breath and sunk deeper into Toni's embrace feeling completely worn out. "Sleep some more." Toni says as she feels the tiredness radiate off you. "I'll be here when you wake up." You nod your head and close your eyes. Toni looks up to see the rest of the girls looking at her with a questioning look and Toni just waved them off.
When you finally come to, you realize you had moved from the last place you fell asleep. You feel something soft but hard under you and arms around your waist. Your about to freak out and rip the jacket that was laid over you, it was blocking the sun from your face, before you heard the familiar heartbeat against your ear. You pretended to be asleep a little longer as you enjoyed being in Toni's arms. She had broken your heart a long time ago but you still loved her... and missed her... as a friend of course, as a friend. You felt Toni cup the back of your head through the jacket and give you a kiss on the head before rubbing your head. It gave you a flashback to the nights you had spent together and how she would do it often.
You let out a sigh before sitting up, letting the jacket fall off your head. "Well, well. Looks like sleeping beauty finally woke up." Toni says with a smirk as you look up at her. You roll your eyes at her before snuggling deeper into her chest, hearing her heart beat pick up. "How long have I been asleep?" You ask as you notice some people are missing. "A while. Shelby, Rachel, Leah, and Nora went to the top of mountain hill thing. Dot and Fatin are doing inventory and Martha is chilling." You nod your head and sit up. "Thank you... For earlier. I..." You choke up a little as tears gather in your eyes. "I missed you Toni..." You say as you look down. Toni wrapped her arms around you and gave you a kiss on the head causing your heart beat to speed up. "I missed you too."
*Time Skip*
"Alright time for bed guys." Dot says standing up and clapping her hands together. Everyone silently agreed and walked to their claimed "beds". You had moved your bed a little closer to the rest of the girls but only like 5 steps. You laid in bed for what felt like hours unable to fall asleep. "Anyone else awake?" You hear Martha ask from across the camp. A bunch of yes's and hands are raised. Martha sits up and looks your way. "Y/n?" "Yeah?" "Can you sing a song? I always used to fall asleep when you sang." You got nervous as everyone looked your way. "I... I don't know Martha... I don't even have my guitar." You say as you wring your hands together. "Please y/n." Martha says giving you a pout. You let out a sigh, you always crumble at Martha's pout. "Alright... Which song?" You ask as you stand up and walk over to Martha. "I don't know which ever one." You nod your head before thinking before you start singing.
"There was a time when I was alone No where to go and no place to call home My only friend was the man in the moon And even sometimes he would go away too Then one night, as I closed my eyes I saw a shadow flying high He came to me with the sweetest smile Told me he wanted to talk for a while He said Peter Pan that's what they call me I promise that you'll never be lonely And ever since that day"
You start singing and watch as the girls, except for Toni and Martha who both give you a small smile, look shocked at your voice.
"I am a Lost Boy from Neverland Usually hanging out with Peter Pan And when we're bored we play in the Woods Always on the run from Captain Hook Run run Lost Boy, they say to me Away from all of reality Neverland is home to lost boys like me And lost boys like me are free Neverland is home to lost boys like me And lost boys like me are free He sprinkled me in pixie dust and told me to believeBelieve in him and believe in me Together we will fly away in a cloud of green To your beautiful destiny As we soared above the town that never loved me I realized I finally had a family Soon enough we reached Neverland Peacefully my feet hit the sand and ever since that day..."
You smiled down at Martha as you watched her struggle to keep her eyes open. You slowly stroked her head as she slowly but surely fell asleep.
"I am a Lost Boy from Neverland Usually hanging out with Peter Pan And when we're bored we play in the Woods Always on the run from Captain Hook Run run Lost Boy, they say to me Away from all of reality Neverland is home to lost boys like me And Lost Boys like me are free Neverland is home to lost boys like me And Lost Boys like me are free Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, Wendy darlin Even Captain Hook you are my perfect story book Neverland I love you so, you are now my home sweet home Forever a lost boy at last Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, Wendy darlin Even Captain Hook you are my perfect story book Neverland I love you so, you are now my home sweet home Forever a Lost Boy at last And for always I will say I am a Lost Boy from Neverland Usually hanging out with Peter Pan And when we're bored we play in the Woods Always on the run from Captain Hook Run run Lost Boy, they say to me Away from all of reality Neverland is home to Lost Boys like me And Lost Boys like me are free Neverland is home to Lost Boys like me And Lost Boys like me are free"
As you sing the song, you hop around to all the  girls and make sure they are asleep. You walk up to Toni last and lean down. You take a second to look over her features. You had missed her a lot since your falling out and maybe this was the perfect opportunity to rekindle whatever you had before. You place a hand on her cheek and watch with a blush as she snuggles into in subconsciously. You don't realize that Shelby was still awake and looking at the small interaction with some disgust.
*Time Skip*
You wake up with a start and immediately feel the rain slam against your face. You immediately go to stand up, grabbing your stick, but the wind is too harsh that it knocks you over immediately and you lose your stick as it gets covered by sand. "Y/n?!" You hear someone yell. "Toni?!" You yell back as you see her walking over with a jacket over her head. Toni crouches down and gets close to you so she can hold the jacket over you as well. "Can you stand?!" She asks yelling over the the sounds of thunder and rain. "No I lost my stick!" You respond. Toni nods her head before letting the jacket fall to the side as she wraps one of your arms around her shoulders and helps you stand.
"Everyone under here!" Dot yells as she pulls the deflated escape slide over. Toni helps you maneuver under it as you both take a spot in the middle between the others. You all sit there for a few minutes, completely silent. "You know..." You say, only meaning to get Toni's attention but get everyone's attention as well. "This reminds me of my brother's funeral..." You let out a watery laugh. "Of course my parents..." You say with so much venom in your face, it shocks the girls. You were honesty one of the more happier people of the group, the nice one. "They didn't give a flying fuck when the funeral happened as long as it was done and over fast." You shake your head and squeeze your fist together trying to calm yourself down.
"You know... I was there..." Toni admits. You look at her in shock. "I... I stood in the back. I wanted so many times to go up there and I don't know... I don't know..." Toni says as she looks down. You reached your hand over after relaxing it and grabbed Toni's hand. She looks up at you and you both share a somewhat knowing smile before releasing hands and looking back out into the storm. "Why the fuck am I so itchy?"

The Band
Sam and Dean were at a bar with a live band playing some music. They were just drinking some beers and eating some food. After this band has played 5 songs, the next band was next, Heaven's Abomination.
After setting up their instruments,  the girl who has hazel eyes and dark blonde hair started to play the electric guitar before the boy with dark brown hair and dark brown eyes playing the drums came in.
Want your bad romance Want your bad romance
The male singer started to sing.
I want your ugly I want your disease I want your everything As long as it's free I want your love (I want your love) love love love I want your love (I want your love I want your love)
This made Sam and Dean watch the band for once.
I want your drama The touch of your hand I want your leather-studded kiss in the sand I want your love (I want your love) love love love I want your love (I want your love I want your love)
You know that I want you And you know that I need you I want it bad, your bad romance
I want your love and I want your revenge You and me could write a bad romance (Oh oh oh oh ooh) (The girl then sang on the mic Oh ohs) I want your love and All your lovers' revenge You and me could write a bad romance
Oh oh oh oh ooh oh oh oh ooh oh oh oh! Caught in a bad romance Oh oh oh oh ooh oh oh oh ooh oh oh oh! Caught in a bad romance Want your bad romance Want your bad romance
I want your horror I want your design 'Cause you're a criminal As long as your mine I want your love (I want your love) love love love I want your love (I want your love I want your love)
I want your psycho Your vertigo stick Want you in my rear window Baby, you're sick I want your love (I want your love) love love love I want your love (I want your love I want your love)
The girl then started to sing.
You know that I want you And you know that I need you I want your bad, your bad romance
I want your love and I want your revenge You and me could write a bad romance (Oh oh oh oh ooh) I want your love and All your love has revenge You and me could write a bad romance
Oh oh oh oh ooh oh oh oh ooh oh oh! Caught in a bad romance Oh oh oh oh ooh oh oh oh ooh oh oh! Caught in a bad romance Want your bad romance Want your bad romance Want your bad romance
The Boy singer continued.
I want your love and I want your revenge I want your love I don't wanna be friends
The girl resumed.
Je veux ton amour Et je veux ta revanche Je veux ton amour I don't wanna be friends (I don't wanna be friends) I don't wanna be friends (I don't wanna be friends) No, I don't wanna be friends (I don't wanna be friends)
The girl and boy sing this together
Want your bad romance (Want your bad romance) Want your bad romance
I want your love and I want your revenge You and me could write a bad romance (Oh oh oh oh ooh) I want your love and All your lovers' revenge You and me could write a bad romance
Oh oh oh oh ooh oh oh oh ooh oh oh! Caught in a bad romance Oh oh oh oh ooh oh oh oh ooh oh oh! Caught in a bad romance Want your bad romance
Both male and female singers finished it together.
Want your bad romance
Everyone cheered at the band before they played again... The girl playing the electric guitar changed the electric to an acoustic and switched places with the male singer making him playing the guitar. She then started to sing,
Hm-hm, ah, ah
Benefit of the doubt is my weakness Turning the other cheek to see less All of our friends on my arm, yeah Let's say it right, not my fault you got regrets It's that tip for hot camera flashes Bloody lips, nice and ripe out the classes Diamond, pearl and ruby, you'll swoon Can I offer you a little salt for that wound?
I've tried to take you lying down I clarified, tip-toed around Was innocent, clear and defined But you cross them every time
Don't make me be the bad guy Don't make me be the bad guy Despite all of my foresight I keep hoping I'll be right about you But you were the psycho So how, what do I know? (I know) Tell me you're the bad guy No, don't make me be the bad guy
Paradise Lost, you're fallen from grace You're cracking my ribs with just one embrace Your offering's empty, godless and cold I can read you like a book and it's getting old
Never was built to be this way But turns out the villain is fun to play Your Hollywood romance, extra and sappy, but- Spoiler alert: the ending ain't happy Eggshells crack beneath your feet The ugly truth is bittersweet So dress it up in fancy clothes But we both know how this goes
Don't make me be the bad guy Don't make me be the bad guy Despite all of my foresight I keep hoping I'll be right about you But you were the psycho So how, what do I know? (I know) Tell me you're the bad guy No, don't make me be the bad guy
No longer a pretty view ahead Our lies did not become us You became them instead
Don't make me be the bad guy (Ha, ha, ha, ha, yeah) Don't make me be the bad guy (Ha, ha, ha, ha, yeah) Despite all of my foresight (Ha, ha, ha, ha, yeah) I keep hoping I'll be right about you But you were the psycho (Oh ya, yeah, yeah) So how, what do I know? (Yeah, yeah, I know) Tell me you're the bad guy (Don't make me be the bad guy) No, don't make me be the bad guy (Don't make me be the bad guy) Despite all of my foresight (Yeah, yeah, despite all of my foresight) I keep hoping I'll be right about you But you were the psycho So how, what do I know? (I know) Tell me you're the bad guy (Bad guy) No, don't make me be the bad guy (Bad guy)
Hmm No, don't make me be the bad guy.
Sam and Dean were in awe and in shock when they heard the song, now, their drinks abandoned, just intently listening to the songs that they were singing/covering.
The next song was a bit triggering but there was a warning before they played the song, the girl introduced herself as well as the band and some of the songs that they will play next will be triggering and offend some people. Dean and Sam widen their eyes when the girl said her name, Iris Luna Winchester-Universe.  Sam and Dean decided to have a talk to her after they played the songs.
Once upon a time in a land far away There lived a little boy and he drank all-day Friends called him stupid and his brothers called him gay Emptied all the bottles 'til the pain went away
Whiskey was his friend, he didn't have another Vicodin his vice, his real and only lover (yup) Smoked a pack or two, it never was a problem Popped a pill or two, they really made him blossom (yup)
Take a sip, take a sip, take a sip And a trip, and a trip, and a trip And I'm like, when you bitch, when you bitch, when you bitch Counterfeit hypocrite holy shit
Once upon a time in a land far away There lived a little boy and he cried all-day Playboy bunny magazines would never get him laid He downed another bottle 'til the pain went away
Whiskey was his friend, he didn't have another Vicodin his vice, his real and only lover (yup) Smoked a pack or two, it never was a problem Popped a pill or two, they really made him blossom (yup)

Everybody gets high, why the hell can't I? Everybody gets high, why the hell can't I? Everybody gets high, why the hell can't I? Everybody gets high, why the hell can't I?
Take a sip, take a sip, take a sip And a trip, and a trip, and a trip And I'm like, when you bitch, when you bitch, when you bitch Counterfeit hypocrite holy shit
Everybody gets high, why the hell can't I? Everybody gets high, why the hell can't I? Everybody gets high, why the hell can't I? Everybody gets high, why the hell can't I?
Everyone clapped and cheered for them and the band said that they will be playing one last song before the next band plays. They brought a keyboard for this song. The next song, made a few people cry. Even Dean himself.
There was a time when I was alone Nowhere to go and no place to call home My only friend was the man in the moon And even sometimes he would go away, too
Then one night, as I closed my eyes I saw a shadow flying high He came to me with the sweetest smile Told me he wanted to talk for awhile He said, "Peter Pan, that's what they call me I promise that you'll never be lonely, " and ever since that day
I am a lost boy from Neverland Usually hanging out with Peter Pan And when we're bored we play in the woods Always on the run from Captain Hook "Run, run, lost boy, " they say to me Away from all of reality
Neverland is home to lost boys like me And lost boys like me are free Neverland is home to lost boys like me And lost boys like me are free
He sprinkled me in pixie dust and told me to believe Believe in him and believe in me Together we will fly away in a cloud of green To your beautiful destiny As we soared above the town that never loved me I realized I finally had a family Soon enough we reached Neverland Peacefully my feet hit the sand And ever since that day
I am a lost boy from Neverland Usually hanging out with Peter Pan And when we're bored we play in the woods Always on the run from Captain Hook "Run, run, lost boy, " they say to me Away from all of reality
Neverland is home to lost boys like me And lost boys like me are free Neverland is home to lost boys like me And lost boys like me are free
Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, Wendy Darling Even Captain Hook, you are my perfect storybook Neverland, I love you so You are now my home sweet home Forever a lost boy at last
Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, Wendy Darling Even Captain Hook, you are my perfect storybook Neverland, I love you so You are now my home sweet home Forever a lost boy at last
And for always I will say
I am a lost boy from Neverland Usually hanging out with Peter Pan And when we're bored we play in the woods Always on the run from Captain Hook "Run, run, lost boy, " they say to me Away from all of reality
Neverland is home to lost boys like me And lost boys like me are free Neverland is home to lost boys like me And lost boys like me are free
After playing the song, they pack up while the band went next and Heaven's abomination went to the parking lot and put their stuff in while Sam and Dean approached her.
"Hey, you all were great out there," Sam said trying to make a conversation with the band.
"Thanks, man. Name's Iris." Iris said to the two tall men.
"I am Sam and This is Dean. " Sam replied to her.
"So is there anything else you need to talk about?" The guy who played the drums, Athrun, asked them.
"Well, yea. Aside from compliments, we wanted to talk to you about your family's last name." Dean said to her
"Oh, you mean Universe? Well, it is a bit universal," Iris said as she bumps her elbows against Chris's (Dark brown hair with blue eyes) shoulder while her friends are groaning at her dad joke. The brothers chuckled at her Dad joke.
"Nice one, but no. We meant Winchester, do you know who was your father?" Dean asked her curiously.
"Yeah, I mean who wouldn't." She told them with a 'duh' tone.
"What was his name?" Sam asked her.
"Er... John, I guess? I am really bad at names, especially birthdays. So I think it was John Winchester, which reminds me, I have not seen him for like 6 years. Why? Do you know what happened?" She asked them. The brothers widened their eyes when they heard John Winchester
"Well... Our father died in the hospital..." Sam said sadly.
"I'm so sorry about that- wait, what do you mean, 'ours'?"  She asked him incredulously
"We are his other sons, and as well as kinda... your half brothers," Dean replied to her.
"Are you sure it's not a common last name?" She asked them with caution now. 'and here I thought Universe is the only uncommon last name I have.'
They shake their heads no.
She gasped while she puts her hand over mouth before taking it out, jumping up and down squealing.
"I have brothers!?!" She said out loud.
"You-... You're not mad at us? Or even think that we are crazy?" Dean asked her with shock from the reaction that they have received from her.
"Mad? Why would I be mad or even would think that? I just realized that I am not an only child anymore! I would always dream of being the middle child, having older siblings and younger siblings as well! I would grab the opportunity as soon as I knew I have a sibling. This day must keep getting better and better." She told them while Chris and Athrun smiled at her reaction.
"What if we're dangerous? or even serial killers? or criminals on the loose?" Sam asked her, trying to make her a reaction a cautious one but she just shrugged it off and said that made the brothers smile at her.
"So what? Family is family, no matter what happens."
....
"Anyways, where do you guys live?" Iris asked them with a curious smile.
"Oh, uh... Lebanon, Kansas," Sam answered her question
"Okay, I will just visit you guys from time to time, so prepare your schedules, because I will start the visit in two days' tops. See you next time!" She told them before she went in and gave them a bear hug then pulled away.
She went into the van but before they left, Athrun poked his head out and said to her brothers.
"I feel so bad for you all." This resulted in him getting pulled back and getting slapped in the van.
As soon as the van left, this gave the brothers to think about their decisions.
"Dean, she is so... Innocent, our life is gonna scar her if we ever showed her," Sam told him suddenly feeling guilty about her if she ever for caught up in their line of work.
"That's why we are gonna protect her and care for her," Dean said as he turned around, pat Sam on his shoulder and walk back to the Impala.
Sam sighed then looked up in the sky before he went to the impala. The brothers then went home to prepare the room for their newly found little sister. Were they scared? Yes. But excited at the same time.

Little League
Summary: Hadlee Rosier and Draco Malfoy had grown up together. Draco was Hadlee’s best friend, partner in crime, and most importantly her first crush. Things changed quickly when the two headed to Hogwarts together for their first year. Since then they had taken their own paths and Hadlee’s feelings for the blonde boy faded, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t still love her. They could never be together now that Draco had made his decision though.
Based on Little League by Conan Gray
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Do you remember days on our old block?
Messing with our neighbors, who called the cops
Coulda swore that you and me
Could get away with anything
Draco saw her walk into Potions and felt his heart skip a beat. He was used to this. Every time he caught a glimpse of her in the halls or walked through the common room and saw her sitting by the fire his heart would jump slightly, his pulse quickening. It had been like this since he could remember. Even when they were seven, flying their first brooms through their neighborhood together, he’d loved her. Those were some of his best memories. He and Hadlee had grown up down the street from each other and spent every second of their childhood together. She’d been his best friend.
Things had changed since their arrival at Hogwarts for their first year though. Draco had chosen the path laid out for him by his father. He was known as the Slytherin Prince, been named Prefect last year in their fifth year, and had now committed himself fully to the Dark Lord, the proof burned into his left forearm. Hadlee was a model student. She spent much of her free time reading Potions textbooks in the library or, of course, practicing Quidditch. All their practicing as kids had landed both Hadlee and Draco starting spots on the Slytherin team in their second year. Hadlee was the best Chaser on the team from the start and her moves were unmatched by anyone at Hogwarts. Even if they hadn’t spoken much since their first year, Hadlee knew she was going to miss her favorite Seeker dearly this season. Draco had decided he didn’t have time for Quidditch and, with little to no explanation, had quit at the start of term this year.
Their lack of contact hadn’t changed the fact that Draco couldn’t take his eyes off her when she was in the same room as him. She radiated a confidence she hadn’t had until a few years prior. And, although he wasn’t sure where it had come from, he thought it suited her very nicely. He’d been silently watching over her since they started school, but she’d never seemed to need him. Maybe that was part of their drifting apart: She didn’t need him.
We’d lay on the grass, all day talking
Cause we snuck out of class when no one was watching
I remember you and me
Yeah, I remember everything
Draco sat through Potions continuing to reminisce. He remembered a particularly great memory with Hadlee. It was during their first month of lessons in first year. A beautiful autumn day couldn’t go to waste sitting in a boring class like Care of Magical Creatures, so when the professor wasn’t looking Draco pulled Hadlee away and around a corner of the castle.
“What are you doing? We have class,” she’d said and crossed her arms when she saw the excitement in his face at not learning about unicorns anymore.
“Had, come on! It’s the most beautiful day out. Plus, you already know everything there is to learn about unicorns. Please!” he begged when she didn’t move.
After much effort on his part, Hadlee agreed to head down to the Quidditch pitch with their brooms instead of finish class. They spent the whole afternoon speeding across the pitch, throwing a ball into one of the goals while the other tried their best to guard it. And when they finally got tired, they laid together in the middle of the field pointing at pictures they found in the clouds. It seemed like only yesterday to Draco as he thought about it. A deep sadness crept across his chest as he looked up to see the back of her head. Did she remember that day too? Draco found himself wondering many things about the beautiful girl he used to know. Was her favorite color still forest green? Or did she hate it now because it was everywhere in the Slytherin common room? Did she still like the grass flavored Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans as much as she had when they were nine? Was she still a fan of the Tornados Quidditch team? But mostly, he just wanted to know if she thought about him as often as he thought about her.
But, lately I’ve been feeling strange
And everybody’s telling me to act my age
I never thought that everything I had would fade away
As the building pressure of the task the Dark Lord assigned became more difficult to handle, Draco found himself daydreaming more and more about going back to his days with Hadlee. Back when there was nothing more to worry about than what Mother was making for dinner that night or whether or not Hadlee would want to play another game of Wizard’s Chess. But as much as he wished he could go back and live in that time again, Draco couldn’t ignore the importance of what he’d been asked to do. Being a Death Eater was something he’d always known was in his future and Lucius had expected Voldemort to give Draco the most important mission once he’d been sworn in. Draco couldn’t disappoint his father. Or the Dark Lord. The consequences for not fulfilling his duty would be detrimental to his future. It was too important.
Draco supposed his obvious affiliation with Voldemort had been part of why Hadlee didn’t speak to him very often anymore. And his open discussions of the Dark Arts throughout their time at Hogwarts had turned her away from him earlier. While a part of him wished this wasn’t his destiny, because maybe then she’d still be his friend, he knew he’d never had a choice in the matter. He did what was expected of him, even when he knew it meant losing her. So, since his first day at Hogwarts he’d been as cruel and arrogant as any Malfoy man would be. He’d never faltered, never shown any sign that he was anything other than the true Prince of Slytherin.
When we were younger
We didn’t know how it would be
We were the dumb, the wild, the free
Little League
Hadlee spent her days focused on school and Quidditch. She was determined to learn as much as she could for her N.E.W.T.s this year. If she could do that and bring the Quidditch Cup back to Slytherin this year, she’d be on top of the world come June. So, her time was spent mostly in the library writing Potions essays or reading up on the most difficult spells for Transfiguration. By the time dinner rolled around, she was exhausted. Many nights she fell asleep in the chair by the fire with a book open on her lap. She’d never meant to let school take up all her time like this. Sometimes she wondered if she’d lost her fun side, seeing as all she did was study and play Quidditch nowadays. She was constantly reminding herself that it would all be worth it once school was over. She’d be playing professional Quidditch or working for the Ministry in no time. Everything would be better in a few short years, all it would take is hard work on her part.
Many of her friends worried about Hadlee being such a workaholic, but she reminded them that they too should care about the material they were learning right now. She wondered when she’d become so much like her mother. Wouldn’t things be simpler if they could all go back to how it used to be? She hadn’t spent much time thinking about her childhood, but with the workload of sixth year being drastically harder than fifth, she found herself dreaming of her childhood more and more often. Draco was always there with his broom, daring her to race him down the street or beating her once again at Wizard’s Chess. But, when she woke up she’d have to remember that the Draco she used to know didn’t exist anymore. He’d been absorbed into the Slytherin culture quickly after arriving at Hogwarts and Hadlee was forced to watch her best friend disappear into the shell of a Death Eater he was today. It made her quite sad, knowing he hadn’t chosen this for himself. Although they’d both been raised in pureblood families, their childhoods were drastically different. Draco was expected to follow in his father’s footsteps from the day he was born. Hadlee hadn’t been encouraged to pursue the Dark Arts. Her parents were indifferent to the matter, so they hadn’t minded their daughter being best friends with Draco Malfoy.
And when we were younger
We wore our hearts out on our sleeves
Why did we ever have to leave?
Little League
These frequent dreams of her childhood also brought memories of her former crush on Draco Malfoy. She remembered hearing him shout at her to hurry up from the driveway, but she always made sure she looked her best before going to greet him for their afternoon adventure for that day. She’d dress in cute clothes, not bothering to change if they were doing something that could get them dirty. Hadlee’s mother would scold her for coming home with large grass stains on her shirts, even when she could erase it with a flick of her wand. Her efforts to get Draco’s attention seldom worked though. He seemed more occupied by beating her at whatever they were doing, or laughing at his own jokes. But Hadlee couldn’t help but find it charming. Plus, she’d lost many broom races because she’d been distracted by his hair catching in the sunlight. And when he’d turn around to gloat, his full smile made her heart stop.
She wished she could make these dreams stop. As wonderful as it was for her to see her old best friend the way she used to, it was a painful reality check to walk into her class the next morning and see the broken man he’d become. She was sure he was a Death Eater by now. He’d looked more and more drained as the weeks passed, and she wondered what was hurting him so badly. Although she felt nothing more than pity and the occasional regret when it came to Draco, she couldn’t help but want his obvious pain to lessen. And maybe the small part of her that longed to be nine again also still loved him, but a quick reminder of his choices and she felt nothing for the man again.
Could I get a rewind?
Get another chance, take it back in time
Cause I don’t know what to do
With everything that I’m going through
Draco walked into the Slytherin common room after his nightly prefect rounds and noticed Hadlee had fallen asleep again in her usual chair by the fire. He smiled to himself as he admired her calmed sleeping face. There were faint lines on her nose from wrinkling it while reading all day. He immediately noticed the fire wasn’t burning as brightly as it normally did, so he decided to slip a blanket over her. He wasn’t sure how late she usually slept out in the common room, but he didn’t want the fire to die and leave her cold. He grabbed a woolen blanket from the nearby basket and laid it gently over her, but as it hit her legs she started to stir and opened her eyes slightly.
“Draco?”
He stood up quickly. “Sorry. I was just, uh, making sure you didn’t get cold. The fire is dying.”
She sat up and smiled genuinely at him. “Thank you. I was actually meaning to say something to you. Do you remember the name of our old neighbor? The one with the loud screeching owl.”
He knew exactly what she was talking about. Mrs. Boggs’ owl kept both of them up every night one summer because it didn’t like their new cat. He laughed, remembering both of them often being too tired for their usual shenanigans that year.
“Mrs. Boggs, I believe.”
“Oh, yes! My mother was wondering. She heard she was admitted to St.Mungo’s. Apparently she isn’t in good health and may not make it through the winter.”
This saddened Draco deeply. His family wasn’t very close with their neighbors, but Hadlee’s family had been kind to everyone on the street when they’d lived there. “I’ll have to owl my mother and let her know. Maybe she’ll want to go see her over holiday. She’s always been very kind to me.”
“She always baked cookies for us, remember? She’d leave them out on the sidewalk with little enchanted notes! They were the coolest,” Hadlee continued to smile at him. He felt the familiar pang in his chest at her words. She did remember their memories together.
“They were delicious. She stopped leaving them a few years after you moved. Guess she knew I wouldn’t be out much in the summers anymore.”
Now it was Hadlee’s turn to feel sad. Their neighborhood had always been filled with the sounds of their laughter. She guessed there wasn’t much of that anymore. And, in a sudden burst of longing for the man in front of her, she admitted, “I miss that place a lot. And you.”
“Me too. That first summer without you was strange.”
Not sure what to say next, the pair sat in silence in the Slytherin common room for what felt like an eternity to Draco. For the first time in a long time, he felt comfortable. Just her presence seemed to calm him. He wasn’t thinking about his dreaded assignment, or schoolwork, or anything but his favorite memories of her. Then he had an idea.
“Hey, would you want to go see Mrs. Boggs together over holiday? I can owl you and meet you at St. Mungo’s if you’d like.”
“I’d love to, Dray.”
His heart swelled at his forgotten nickname. No one had called him that but her, and he felt the urge to spill everything to her like he had when he was a kid. “First week work for you? I’ll be free all of holiday, so whenever works best for you.”
“That sounds perfect.”
And where did all my friends go?
Standing on our street but nobody’s home
Swore we’d never move away
But now I’m going ninety-five on the interstate
Their plans for holiday kept Draco going through the last few weeks of Fall term. He’d hoped their conversation had opened the possibility of friendship again, but knew better when she didn’t make eye contact with him at breakfast or in class the next day. This didn’t bother him much and considering his reputation, he knew he should just be happy with the single conversation. By the time holiday rolled around, they hadn’t discussed their plans again, but Draco figured he’d just send her an owl like they’d planned.
He met his mother at the platform with a worn smile. He knew holiday wouldn’t be filled with the typical gifts and family laughter. His father would want to know how the assignment was coming along, and, if he was really unlucky, Voldemort would want to meet with him to discuss the finalities. He and his mother apparated from the station to the street in front of their house once he’d collected all his things off the train. Draco took a minute when they arrived to admire the long scuff on the road from Hadlee’s broom when she took a particularly nasty fall when they were eight. He smiled and went inside to write her letter.
He invited her to St. Mungo’s the following Wednesday and sent the owl off, hoping it would know where to find her. Dinner that night was as dreadful as he’d expected. His father had wanted to know every detail of the plan and exactly what Draco had done with the Vanishing Cabinet in Hogwarts and if there was any sign of suspicion from his fellow students, especially Harry Potter. He assured his father for what felt like the hundredth time that everything was under control and headed up to his room to check for a reply from Hadlee. He found his owl holding a new piece of perfectly folded parchment. She’d replied. Draco, immediately excited at the prospect of seeing Hadlee so soon, unfolded the letter and his smile widened.
His excitement became difficult to contain as Wednesday approached far too slowly for his liking. He arrived at St. Mungo’s early and waited at the front for Hadlee. Five minutes past two and he wondered if his watch was just fast. Ten past two and he was sure she was just running late. And, at quarter after, he was ready to just head up by himself when the front doors swung open. There was Hadlee, looking very tired, but smiling at Draco.
“I’m so sorry I’m late. Dad came back late from work and had promised to apparate me here,” she said, still breathing deeply from her run.
“Well, I’m glad you made it. Mother says she’s doing loads better than she was when she was admitted. Let’s go,” Draco said, and offered Hadlee his arm. She took it with no hesitation and Draco smiled.
They walked down the hall to Mrs. Bogg’s room and were greeted with joyous shouts from their aging neighbor. “What a lovely surprise! I’m sorry to say I don’t have cookies for the two of you,” Mrs .Boggs said when they sat down.
“That’s fine, Mrs. Boggs. We should have been the ones bringing you cookies! I think we owe you about a thousand,” Hadlee joked. Draco quickly pulled out his wand and conjured a plate of delicious smelling chocolate chip cookies with a smooth flick of his wand. “Draco! How do you know how to do that?” Hadlee said, impressed with his advanced magic.
“Mother taught me last week, said it would probably come in handy since the Healers won’t let many guests bring in food,” he replied, giving Hadlee a cookie and setting the rest next to Mrs. Boggs.
“You two haven’t changed a bit! I hoped you were still friends,” Mrs. Boggs said delightfully.
“Well we-,” Draco started.
“Yes, isn’t it wonderful? Many people don’t get to say they’ve had the same best friend their whole life,” Hadlee interrupted. Draco smiled at her white lie, wishing it was true.
They spent the next hour laughing at Mrs. Boggs reminders of their childhood antics in the neighborhood. They really had been quite crazy. Things were going well until Mrs. Boggs asked, “So, are you two a couple? You’ve always been awfully cute together.”
Hadlee felt her face go red, and sadness filled Draco’s face a little too quickly, but Hadlee tried to play it off and replied with a laugh, “No, ma’am. Draco and I have never been together like that, just friends. But I don’t think he knew I had a massive crush on him when we were younger!”
“Wait, what?” Draco was shocked at her confession.
“Oh my goodness, yes. I’m pretty sure I was in love with you for like three years and you had no idea. Of course, we were only kids.”
“Boys are so oblivious. And that doesn’t change as they get older either,” Mrs. Boggs said to Hadlee.
“Apparently girls are too,” mumbled Draco under his breath as his heart jumped again when Hadlee’s hand brushed against his.
“Well, it’s been lovely Mrs. Boggs, but I have to get back to my father. Thank you for all the cookies,” Hadlee said as she stood up to hug Mrs. Boggs.
“I’ll walk you out,” Draco said and followed. “Please let me know if there’s anything you need from my family Mrs. Boggs.”
He was headed out the door to follow Hadlee when Mrs. Boggs whispered, “Marry her, Draco.”
He looked out at the hall to Hadlee then smiled back and Mrs. Boggs. “I’ll try my hardest,” then Draco left with a wave.
Cause lately I’ve been feeling strange
And everybody’s telling me to act my age
I never thought that everything I had would fade away
“That was fun, Dray. Thanks for thinking of it,” Hadlee said as they left St. Mungo’s.
“I had a great time too. You know, I miss you Had,” he replied, throwing his nickname for her into the conversation as well.
She smiled at the forgotten nickname, and the nine year old in her swelled agian. “I miss you too. I just wish it didn’t have to be like this.”
“Who says it does?”
“You did when you chose being Slytherin Prince over me. But it’s in the past now, Draco. We can’t change it.”
His heart sank at her words. He’d never questioned his father’s path for him, but in this moment he wished he could scrub the ink on his arm off and kiss the girl in front of him.
“But, what if we can.”
“Judging by the way you looked at your arm just now, we can’t. No matter how much I may want to.”
With that, Hadlee turned around, walked quickly to her father and apparated away.

Aziraphale loved the feeling of flying. The wind in his hair, the freedom of movement, it was all so wonderful. He loved flying beside the love of his life even more.
Crowley laughed and spun in the air, shooting upwards like a rocket, his black wings splayed out. His eyes were closed as he grinned widely, letting himself freefall until he almost hit the ground, swooping up at the last second. Aziraphale followed him closely, eventually catching up and grabbing his hand. Crowley opened his eyes and beamed at his angel, his eyes gleaming. If any humans saw them, all they would see were two magnificent birds dancing around one another that they couldn’t pin the name of.
“It’s been so long since I’ve flown!” Crowley said happily, holding Aziraphale’s hand tightly as they flew together. “Now that all those bastards are off our backs, we can do this whenever we want!” Aziraphale’s smile fell slightly at the mention of heaven and hell, and Crowley must have been able to tell because he squeezed his angel’s hand. “Hey. Angel, look at me.” Aziraphale did as he was told. Crowley looked at him with soft eyes. “You don’t need to worry about them anymore. It’s just you and me now, love. For the rest of eternity.” Aziraphale’s smile returned and the two hovered in the air for a moment, foreheads pressed together.
“I love you, Crowley,” Aziraphale said softly, eyes opening to look into his demon’s gorgeous golden irises. Crowley’s eyes crinkled in a smile and he kissed Aziraphale’s forehead.
“I love you too. More than you could ever know.” The moon watched and the stars shone with joy as the angel and the demon shared a sweet kiss, holding one another as they soared through the air. They only needed each other, and that was that. Heaven and Hell couldn’t stop them if they tried.

MtG Month of the Ship Day 29 - Wedding
(I’ll have another wedding fic posted tonight as well, I hope...I started writing that one and this one just sort of spilled out~)
This has got to be a dream.
Chandra couldn’t think of any other explanation. Nissa stood in front of her, smiling and beautiful in a flowing sari of blue and green, the swirling clouds of Kaladesh behind her. The small rooftop with its gilded railings, all of their friends arrayed on one end beaming with smiles, Teferi standing beside them in colorful robes under a small archway erected just for the occasion.
It could have been a dream. But then Nissa took Chandra’s hands, and they were so real, so strong and gentle, that she couldn’t doubt them.
Teferi cleared his throat. “We are here to witness our dear comrades pledge their love. It seems like these things always have an old man who talks for too long when the focus should be on the love we’ve gathered to celebrate. So, in the interest of time…” he gestured between the two of them. “Please.”
The pounding in Chandra’s ears almost droned him out entirely. Vows? Vows now? Think, Chandra, think! You came up with some just yesterday!
Thankfully, Nissa took the intiative.
“Chandra Nalaar.” Nissa’s eyes flared with a soft glow as she said the name. “You’ve been many things to me. “A comrade. A friend. The woman I love more than anything in this or any other world. I’ve lived so much of my life in an uncertain multiverse. A plane whose landscape I could never predict from season to season.” She touched her chest. “A destiny to move from world to world, never knowing what the next one holds. I’ve felt lost and alone so many times. But you….you’ve been there since I met you. Wild, wonderful Chandra. Always warm and ready to fight for what is right. My steady companion through the end of half a dozen worlds. My warmth in times of cold uncertainty. My delight always. You make me laugh, you make me feel heard and loved, and I hope I can make you feel the same as long as I live.”
Tears welled up in the Chandra’s eyes. She felt like her heart might burst.
Don’t cry don’t cry don’t cry Chandra don’t cry.
Tears rolled down her cheeks, and into the creases of her smile.
“Nissa…Nissa Revane.” Chandra felt ready to explode, but despite herself the words came out, and she kept her voice (more or less) stable. “I’ve never needed anyone’s help to act. If I didn’t have friends to teach me restraint I probably would have asked you to marry me back on Amonkhet.” Nissa laughed at that, her ears fluttering in the cutest way imaginable. “But…um…yeah. I’m impulsive. I’m restless. And even though I can slow myself down if I need to for my friends, you’re the first person that makes me want to slow down. I could totally stop and be at peace with you forever. And…and I want that. To be your strength the same way you make me feel strong. To love you with everything I have. To breathe and not burn, even though…even though my heart burns for you!”
WHAT. Chandra thought her hair might ignite right there and then. WHY WOULD YOU SAY SOMETHING SO CORNY AT YOUR OWN WEDDING??
Nissa didn’t seem to mind, though. She had turned several adorable shades of pink and was clutching Chandra’s hands even tighter.
“Well,” Teferi held his arms open, smiling at them and their assembled family. “With those beautiful words said, I have only one question: do you promise to keep watch over one another, through joys and hardships, wherever the multiverse may take you?”
The tears were really falling fast now. Steam trailed off of Chandra’s cheeks, framing her wonderful, beautiful Nissa. Still she kept her voice steady as they vowed with one voice.
“For her, I will keep watch.”
Teferi’s pronouncement of their marriage was wonderful. The applause from their friends was wonderful. But nothing, absolutely nothing, was as perfect as Nissa pulling her into a tight embrace, their lips meeting in a soft clash of heat and cool spice, and the blissful closeness of her friend, her lover, her wife.
 ** ** **
The reception after was a delight. Huatli sang to the tune of a harmonicon Saheeli had constructed especially for the occasion. Kaya led everyone in a raucous wedding cheer. Liliana gave a toast and started crying halfway through. Jace gave a toast and started crying a quarter of the way through. Pia had an excessive amount to drink and started loudly advising her daughter (where only a few guests could hear, thankfully) on the best ways to spend their first night as wives together.
Nissa adored it all, even as her head started to swim with all the stimulus.
Chandra noticed. She always noticed. She had known Nissa would feel overwhelmed by even the modest gathering of loved ones, and so they had agreed the night before to make a quiet departure when it all started to become too much.
“You came to Ghirapur. I got to have my mom here for this, so…we should spend some of this time somewhere that’s, you know…important to you.”
She was so sincere. So graceless and guileless. Nissa loved her for it.
They stepped through the eternities, emerging under Zendikar’s setting sun, in a peaceful clearing with no settlements for miles. The ground was a soft carpet of green, the sky a gold fading to satin blue.
A quiet dancing floor for two.
There were no words. Nissa took Chandra’s hands and they moved over the grass. Spinning, stepping, flowing from one side of the clearing to the other to no particular music save the hum of the insects and the thrum of their own hearts. Chandra held her tight, and when she kissed Nissa, it was smoky and sweet. They wove through the trees at the edge, letting the shadows play over their faces.
Nissa spun Chandra out into the moonlight. Her wife laughed and twirled, the light glinting off her goggles, sparks flying from her skirts and twirling away into the night sky like so many fireflies.
Life, despite its best efforts, was wonderful.

Sunday Reflection
Well its been another week and as I am working the weekend its time to reflect.
I had dinner last night with one of my best friends since childhood. We talked about the long road we have taken, things we enjoyed as we progressed through schooling and current events. At one point I took a deep breath and sighed. My exact words were “Man can you believe we are 5 years away from being 40?” The reply was “I know its weird. Do you feel 35?” I took a moment to think before answering. In the 2 seconds of thinking I quickly reflected on what I had been through the last 5-6 years and the ups and downs. Granted there’s no way to think of all that in 2 seconds. I have had ups and downs just like everyone else. I have had family issues, relationships that went to garbage, and just a lot of negative experience. Through perseverance and picking up my broken pieces, I built my inner strength to overcome my worry and fear.
Subconsciously I was ready for his reply to my question. In the last 2 years alone, I can’t even explain the massive turnaround my life has undergone. My confidence is sky high but I’m still humble. My reply to his question was “I don’t feel 35″ “I feel lively, full of energy, and renewed.” He asked how old do I feel. I said I honestly feel like I’m in my mid 20′s. He said he can’t workout anymore without pain in his knees or arms. He asked how I do it. So I went into detail.
I told him I hurt just like everyone else but I sacrificed and gave up a lot of things I no longer need to do. I gave up heavy socializing and by that I mean partying and drinking at bars, I never smoked which isn’t a problem, and stopped burning both ends of the candle. I learned to say no. I control my diet now and part of that reduces inflammation which in turn reduces pain. I said my feet and knees don’t hurt but I take recovery steps just like everyone else when my muscles are aching post workouts. I ice and stim when needed and take time to myself. I told him I’m taking the steps to prepare for my later years now because I won’t be able to as we get older. We are in our prime and you have to decide what you want to do. He couldn’t believe I was saying this or me projecting my outlook because I’ve always been a bit reserved. Once I found my passion, which is a healthy lifestyle, everything started falling into place. Do I still have bad days? Of course I do but I have figured out over time that over 90% of it isn’t in my control so why get pissed off or upset?
Ruth B explains it best in her lyrics from her song Lost Boys. My interpretation is in ()- “ He sprinkled me in pixie dust and told me to believe
Believe in him and believe in me- (believe in yourself)
Together we will fly away in a cloud of green (self confidence)
To your beautiful destiny- (unknown, what do you believe in deep down)
As we soared above the town that never loved me
I realized I finally had a family (my family never gave up on me)
Soon enough we reached Neverland
Peacefully my feet hit the sand (feeling of accomplishment)
And ever since that day I am a lost boy from Neverland (new beginning)
Usually hanging out with Peter Pan (a hero or something that motivates you)
And when we're bored we play in the woods (step outside comfort zone, get creative)
Always on the run from Captain Hook (could mean running from your fears)
"Run, run, lost boy, " they say to me
Away from all of reality” (masking your problems & running away)
Except now I don’t run from reality and I’m not afraid of my own shadow. I have the courage and confidence to fight on, not quit, and conquer my world.
Cheers gang

“ Listen, “ the leader of the lost boys hissed, the same frustration he’d had when speaking to nibs about them: a defense mechanism and the unyielding stubbornness peter pan was so very well known for. the truest truth about the situation ( for he did not want to call it them ‘ falling apart ‘, didn’t even want to think those words ) was that he himself felt quite miserable about it. it was his fault, all of it — and if it wasn’t because he had left then because he was supposed to be their leader and he let them down anyway. he had always given his everything to them, had considered them in all of his choices — he just needed to get back to that. which shouldn’t be too hard should it? with neverland being no possibility anymore and the window which had always been opened for him, which had been such alluring invitation to disappear inside for a while and leave the rest of the world including his lost boys behind, with that very window being closed now ( figuratively and perhaps literally too ) there was nothing left peter could get distracted by, no place where he wanted to go, no one to steal his focus. “ it’s not happening, “ peter decided sternly, although his mind was clearly still elsewhere. “ we are not falling apart. i’ll fix it. and if it’s the last thing i do – “ in life, in carthay or the in the position of their leader, “ – i’ll fix them. “
