29: On The Sea of Thieves -- Stormfrun // Pirate AU! Katsuki

Katsuki bolted into a sitting position when a shadow suddenly fell over him as he was leaning resting on the deck of his ship.

"Oi, how the fuck did ya get aboard my ship?"

Pirate AU for Katsuki

Mun Note: Hori gave me fuel / inspiration for pirate au info... and gdi I’m gonna be writing up pirate au info.

Name: Katsuki Bakugou

Alias: Kacchan (primarily by Izuku)

Age: 17 { VERSE DEPENDENT }

Weapon(s): sabre, cannons / grenades

Affiliation(s): Bakugou Family, Inko & Izuku Midoriya, Bakusquad (Captain)

Appearance: Outside of the bandana that he wears under the hat and one of the rings on his right hand, the rest of Katsuki’s attire is what he got himself. However, the bandana and the ring with a red gemstone used to be his mom’s and as a result he’ll get pissed off is anyone touches either item.

Bio: Katsuki is the son of a former female pirate captain (Mitsuki) and Masaru. In fact, even when he was younger he had grown up with a love for exploring and the sea (both of which he had gotten from his mom). And the place that his mom settled down on (with Masaru) -- was also where Katsuki grew up, and became friends, with Izuku “Deku” Midoriya. And when they were younger, Mitsuki had told them both stories and legends of the sea.

Nowadays, Katsuki is the captain of his own crew -- and he and Izuku have a friendly rivalry of sorts with each other.

~ Verse Notes ~

Katsuki never tried to push Izuku (and bully him) in any way as they grew up { eg: *motions at canon* }. (mun note: other Izuku muses don’t necessarily have to follow along with this -- and I will tweak the bio as necessary to fit for a history where neither of them knew each other as childhood.)

He is protective of Izuku (because of his self-sacrificial nature) -- and is one of the few, if only, people that can talk sense into Izuku if he tries to do shit on his own.

Katsuki’s Ship Name: The Murderous Dragon (mun note: thank you to @us-smash​ for helping me coming up with this.. because this boy’s muse settled on wanting ‘murderous’ in the name but wasn’t working with me on the rest of it.)

Katsuki himself never came up with a name for his crew, but a few (Mina Ashido, Denki Kaminari, and Eijirou Kirishima) eventually started calling themselves the ‘Bakusquad’ or ‘Baku Crew’ and it just stuck.

Raising an eyebrow, the blond adjusted his own hat back over his bandana as a 'tch' left his throat. It wasn't like he really cared -- pretty much his entire crew joined him in a similar way as this chick did in one way or another. Granted none of them were stowaways first prior to him discovering them.

".. I take you want to get back home or whatever, huh."

It was definitely not a question. Katsuki wasn't one to 'help' but given some of those on his crew would want too.

"'cause you just got aboard another pirate ship willingly, dumbass." Though, Katsuki actually did hold more honor than most other pirates. Something his old hag instilled him growing up.

Good question! How did she find her way on this ship?  “Jumped aboard when I noticed the ship I was on got a little too close to yours’.” Someone had the audacity to kidnap her when her home was looted. Something about her town’s lord owing their pirate captain an unpaid debt or whatever. Like hell she’ll allow any pirate to do whatever they pleased with her. “Saw the other pirate captain get a little into their mead. Decided I would improve my chances of survival by riding with your crew instead.” More like she got the pirate captain and most loyal mates drunk enough to not notice her escape plan.

“Hah?!” The blond glanced over when a shadow of a person blocked out the shine on his sabre as he was cleaning it.

Katsuki had been sitting on the docks, relaxing and itching to get back out to sea. Though, he also needed to repair his ship before he could as it had taken a beating on the way to the island.

“The hell do you want, huh?”

Also, Katsuki never officially recruited anyone into his crew -- everyone apart of it just kinda decided to join up on their own. ((It’s a reverse Luffy kind of situation.))

(This is primarily for One Piece muses) Katsuki has heard stories about the Devil Fruits as his mom told him about them growing up. However, he has never met someone who has eaten a Devil Fruit.

"pff... as if." He stated, standing up from his spot just as another blond male came running over.

"BAKUGOU," the male screamed in excitement before actually seeing the female with his captain, as he then smiled and tried to appear 'cool'. "Oh, hello there~ I'm Denki Kaminari, and who might you be, huh?"

Katsuki felt his eyebrow twitch the moment he heard his name being called as he glanced over at Kaminari -- however, the second the other opened his mouth to start trying to flirt. The captain rubbed his hand on his temple, before questioning and getting his crew member back on track.

"The fuck do ya want, Kaminari?"

"Huh? Oh... oh yeah, ah -- Jirou was looking for you, captain. Something about running low on something in cargo." To be honest, he hadn't been paying attention at all when Kyoka was telling him what to tell their captain. He just heard that they were low on something before his brain tuned out.

Another twitch of his eyebrow, as Katsuki stated, "fuckin' dumbass." He knew full well how easy it was for the other blond to forget shit -- so he wasn't even gonna attempt to make him remember. Besides it was gonna be faster to just head over to Jirou instead.

Glancing over at the female, "I'm not gonna kick ya off the ship if that's what ya think is gonna happen -- I don't fuckin' care what you do; stay with us until the next time we dock or take a life boat and leave now."

As he started making his way toward door that Denki had left open, he paused a moment before glancing back at Kaminari and saying, "try not to do something dumb before I get back." Though, he said those words, Katsuki knew full well that the other wasn't gonna listen as continued walking away and disappeared down the steps into the hold.

Once his captain was gone, Denki turned his attention back to the female as a flirtatious grin spread on his face, "sooooo you know my name... what's your name, cutie? And what brings you aboard, huh?"

“Oh, hell no! Only to get sold out by my parents again.”

They easily gave her up without putting up much of a fight when their land’s lord informed them of having used her as collateral payment. All of them were cowardly assholes to simply give up on their family. Hell needs to freeze over before she ever decided to return home. At least she was able to stall, trick, and escape from the last batch. This one, however. “What? Planning to sell me too, Cap?” It was tough to tell the type of pirate he was. She wasn’t going to reveal her hidden weapons just yet. Not until she can get a solid read out of him or his crew.
