Had nearly a week passed since his birthday? Regret settled uncomfortably in her bones as a pair of rose eyes looked up at Yuzuha in greeting as the smaller girl let her in. His sisters were always so delightfully welcoming whenever the Shiba found time to visit the household; two sets of arms wrapping their hold around Yuzuha's waist with small bursts of laughter. As if on cue she could hear the boy of the hour calling for the smaller girls to settle down.

An awkward air of tension hung around Yuzuha as her gaze lingered on Mitsuya before any form of verbal greeting left her lips. Captivated eyes lingered on long strands of silver hair that parted to one side. When did his hair get so long? It suited him well she mused to herself; observant gaze taking in his outfit as well. He always dressed so well too when he wasn't doning that dark biker outfit. She must've snapped back to reality of how long she had been staring when lavender pools looked amused when finally met. A rosy color swept across her features as she recollected herself. 

❝ I know it's a week late... so really late. ❞ She began, nerves eating away at her previous confidence. ❝ I just wanted to come over & assure you that I didn't forget. This just arrived later than planned. ❞ Yuzuha sighed aloud recalling the frustration she felt in the delay of the gift she commissioned for him specifically. Her hands presented a small box in her palm before nimble digits opened it up to reveal a silver chained necklace that held a charm replicating his cross designed earring. 

Gently cupping the necklace in her free hand Yuzuha stepped forward & closed the distance between the two in a few steps. Ever so quiet as the rosy color only darkened further in approach. Unclasping the chain before hands reached around his neck to gently clasp the chain back together again. Her touch tenderly sliding down the chain before releasing just as fingers reached the charm that now hung in front of his chest. The desire to lean in & seal his lips with her own was overwhelming but she couldn't find the courage to do so when her nerves were twisting knots in her stomach. A heartbeat loudly proclaiming how close she was to him in her ears as she hurriedly took a step back to breathe. 

❝ I um... ❞ she began with a smile, hands folding in front of her now. ❝ I hope it's not too cheesy or whatever. I know you're pursuing design and you always give a lot of effort into how you look so. kazuha is a traveler by heart so naturally he enjoys spending time outdoors while i am the complete opposite and enjoy being cooped up indoors. despite this difference though we actually manage to find a balance! usually i leave most of the planning for dates and such to kazuha as i am horrible at sticking to a schedule and end up changing my mind halfway🏃‍♀️

since he’s aware i don’t often enjoy going out, he makes sure to plan dates that i would be most comfortable with; picnic dates ( coughs ), going to pottery or terrarium making classes together, the arcade, library/bookstore dates, visiting fairs or those botanical gardens/flower fields!

of course he isn’t always so lenient with me and sometimes has to force me to get out of the house because he knows very well i need to get some fresh air touch grass. that’s when he uses underhand methods against me ( affectionately ).

however on the off chance we do stay indoors whether that’s because of the weather or we’re both feeling extra lazy that day, we’ll either binge watch movies/tv shows together, play cozy video games, or have an impromptu reading session together.

kazuha is usually the one using endearments the most between the two of us, the most commonly used being; “love” “dear” “dove” or “darling” in no particular order.

although he often uses the term “dove” when he’s feeling extra mischievous/teasing around me. the only time he’ll refer to me by name is when he goes strict bf mode ( aka me being a little shit lmao ).

as for me, i prefer to call him by his nicknames kazu or ‘zuha! kazu more so than the other. if i’m feeling bold one day then i’ll call him “love” but most of the time your girl ends up getting embarrassed that i immediately revert back to just calling him by nickname. as for when i call him by his whole name it’s mainly just when i get really excited, anxious or embarrassed about something 😭

i’m more of a gift giving and acts of service kind of person while kazuha is quality time and physical touch! i put a heavy emphasis on the gift giving part because i always go all out on presents like decorating them into those cute gift baskets and such or just spoiling him a shit ton. deserved btw🗣️

if kazuha sees me having a hard time trying to get schoolwork or some writing done, he’ll stop what he’s doing and offer to help, which i internally cry in response to because omg was i on the verge of just quitting altogether in whatever it is i was doing-

meanwhile, kazuha absolutely loves his love language of physical touch. he’s well aware of the fact that i either repulse or get embarrassed at the idea of physical touch ( aro/ace struggles ) so he starts out small. hand holding/kisses, front and back hugs, etc.

once he notices that i’ve become comfortable once again at such gestures he’ll bump it up to kisses, cuddle session where he’ll just bury his face into my neck and plant kisses there too ( i am totally not dying/screaming inside when he does that🫣 ).

but don’t let his calm and charming nature fool you, kazuha can also be the very snarky and cheeky one here too. tossing in the occasional surprise kiss and just overall messing/teasing the hell out of me because he can. he’ll only do this though if i’m in my comfortable state of receiving physical touch and gestures.

while we both act as the parent figures of our friend groups, when it’s just the two of us, kazuha takes on the role of the parent. not in a way where he’s the dominant one in the rs ( because he’s a firm believer that we should both be each other’s equal ) but in an attentive and caring way🥰

aaa i bounce a lot between trying out different styles and aesthetics but i find myself enjoying more of the light academia/soft aesthetics. spring and fall times are when those styles of mine reach there peak and become prominent in my everyday wardrobe.

i’m also a big fan of wearing jewelry with all my outfits and some head accessories.

kazuha also likes to wear clothes that fall under the light academic category but every now and then he’ll try out a dark academia or grunge style ( because i secretly tell him to🤭 ). and when he does that that’s also the time he’ll throw on a couple piercings as well hehe ( only for his ears though ) and some rings and bracelets.

he prefers to just wear necklaces but i sneak him some rings and bracelets for him ;) sometimes i like to paint his nails for fun but he’ll actually leave them on even though i always tell him he can take it off afterwards

if you weren’t already able to tell we are both hardcore literature and book fanatics. although i’m more of a fantasy and romance genre lover while kazuha prefers to read poetry and sometimes dabble into some young adult fiction. though we both do love reading graphic novels/manga!

and yes, im a huge lover of sweets and anything dessert related. kazuha doesn’t mind them but he doesn’t eat them as often as i do and will just settle for some sweet tea. and then of course there’s the while outdoor/indoor debacle we have going on.

oh and how could i forget our mutual love for cats! i will happily stop to pet one that we happen to cross paths with during our afternoon walks together. sometimes i’ll even ask if we can take one home ( the cat distribution chose us ) but it ends with kazuha having to drag me away because he knows i get bad allergies with them🫠
