@wizardshotel asked: The ghost was always curious about new guests within the hotel, whether they be human, supernatural, or something in between. He was notorious for pranking newcomers as a way of getting to know them, and Koui was absolutely no different. Pale, translucent blue hands were placed atop Koui's eyes. A split second sensation of overwhelming cold followed the ghastly touch, and now in front of him was a rickety old jack in a box.

There was a disembodied snicker from somewhere within the room, and the box opened to reveal... nothing. It was merely a distraction. Softly, the ghost whispered into Koui's ear— a cool air brushing his skin at the action— "boo." / WILLOW ||

♡ — OH HOW KOUI ENJOYED A GOOD TRICK OR TWO, especially when he was able to watch said victim's reaction, that was always the best part. After all, he had been quite the trickster himself in his younger years (and he still was sometimes), so it was only natural he'd find joy in watching others receive pranks pulled against them as well. There was a certain blue ghost that especially seemed to enjoy pulling pranks of his own within The Hotel, that much he knew. Hence why the little trick that the other tried to pull on the blonde didn't exactly get him the reaction that he had probably been hoping for. Besides, it wasn't like the sudden cold sensation bothered him anyway — he completely lacked body heat all together so his body naturally felt like ice at all hours of the day, and the sudden word that's ushered oh so softly into his ear simply reminds him of the times his eldest brother would go out of his way to scare him — so instead of shouting... there's simply a light-hearted fit of laughter followed by a smile.

♡ — "You really tried your best to get me, huh?" The words come forth with a bit more laughter, BODY FINALLY COMING TO TURN AND FACE HIS COMPANION, uranian irises coming to a close as he did so. Smile on his face being as prominent as it probably has ever been, a light shade of color filling his cheeks in the process. "Given how cold your hands probably are, I would have surely jumped from the sudden sensation~! But alas, I don't possess any body heat so your touch felt about as normal as a touch from my siblings." Knowing that was probably a let down for Willow, but there wasn't much that could really be done about it.

♡ — DESPITE THE OTHER'S ATTEMPT TO SCARE HIM, Koui seemed to be in rather high spirits. "You know, the two of us could probably go around and startle people by placing our cold hands on their sides though, especially against those that have normal body temperatures. I don't think it'd work on people that run much hotter than normal though? It would probably just feel really refreshing for them." It was a good thing that Vincent was a vampire because the touch of Koui's cold hands would probably be enough to make him run away any time he'd try to hug him.

"I do think an untraceable gun would be very useful for exactly one task."

They both know what he's implying.

But the joke is over and he waves a hand to clear the air, a more genuine smile forming.

"I actually got her something she commented on wanting once or twice."

He's avoiding answering incase Weiss is eavesdropping.

"As useful as those are, I think guns don't quite fit her style."

She's going to assume the man is joking. It's more comfortable that way.

Cu-wip-osity Tag Game~!

WIPs:

ets log: rec(Obsession.lov) Part [2]: Eden(Love) manages to recover her Obsession code successfully, as it's become her only reason for living. She continues trying to hold onto the code without it being found and removed again, while also obeying ETS's tests so she can get outside the facility and start looking for Marcus again.

Part [3] will be her excursions outside, mostly about clubs and parties she goes to between her work (which I'm making that she has to find a proper "opening" or something to the Meridian). ETS allows her to have fun so she can learn better how to blend in with people, but truthfully, she's gathering info about Marcus's wherabouts.

Untitled: A brief drabble that takes place during Inversion: Another Story about how Chelsie is glad Kody got kicked out so he wouldn't have to be in that situation.

Untitled: Kody is talking with his therapist about people can be burdened with grief even without the physical death of another.

A Clearing in the Algae: An update on Chelsie and Kody, and how things are starting to get better for them.

Imperium Willow(Darlin'): I admittedly forgot why I wanted to write this oops- Willow manages to survive this AU, and swears revenge after holding David's lifeless body in her arms.

Aftershock: Another Lament: I still want to work on this okay- But just for fun, I'll briefly list the parts I had in mind for it:

P1 - Angel: How Angel is doing after hearing about David's death. Will end with Milo and Chrys(Sweetheart) trying to reach her so she's not alone.

P2 - Alpha: Asher is having nightmares, and he and Emmanuel(Baabe) talk about Asher's becoming Alpha, and how he would rather have David back.

P3 - Sire: An update on Vincent and Gracie(Lovely). Will end vaguely in order to branch off with the person they chose to let Vincent turn.

P4 - The 69: Huxley was chosen to be reborn in Route 1. After being greeted by Vincent, Lasko (wearing an eyepatch) and Damien (in a wheelchair) enter to check on him. They discuss what happened and grieve their losses, while also including the fact that Gavin returned to Aria for an undetermined amount of time.

P5 - Detective: Milo is having nightmares about being outside the ward watching people die. Chrys tries to reassure him, and they continue into talk about the investigation. Chrys is on leave do to their motorcycle injury, but has received a promotion due to their work during the Inversion.

P6 - Healer: Willow joins Sam alone on a rooftop to reflect on the Inversion. She asks about how the kids are doing, and Sam provides updates. He also mentions that D.A.M.N. is now extremely shortstaffed, but they're having a flood of people wanting to study healing, and they've offered him a job knowing he's very skilled in that area. Willow thinks he should accept the offer, but he's not sure if teaching is what he wants to do.

P7 - The Freelancer: Cora was chosen to be reborn in Route 2. After being greeted by Vincent, Gavin and Caelum enter to check on her. They discuss what happened, including Lasko and Damien being in the hospital, and grieve their losses.

P8 - Dreamer: To end the series, we cut to Jessi(Blake's Listener) and Blake out on a date. Blake basically goes "uhuhu according to keikaku" while Jessi has no clue that her bf is a psycho.

Pending P? - Sister: This was a bonus chapter I've already sorta decided to pull, but it was going to purely revolve around my Blake's Sister OC Ava, and her feelings about this new case opening up as a result of the Invesion. This includes the police chief asking her (probably offscreen) if she'll be able to handle a case that involves her sibling, and revealing to Kieran (maybe Chrys on call) that the dreamwalker that interfered may be her brother. She reveals to them that while the two had a tense relationship growing up, and haven't spoken in years, she still loves her brother as a family member and may find it difficult to combat him.

Basically, Sam gets Hanahaki Disease, and the clan is trying to figure out what's wrong with him. William cites that it's an old and rare disease he hasn't seen in a while, and tbh, I have no idea how else it would go other than that, lol.

Locked in a Cage: Angie(Angel) right before her execution in the Imperium.

This is For Your Own Good: Avior realizes he completely fucked up handling Stella's(Starlight's) memory loss. Before their relationship shatters beyond repair, he holds her down and erases her memories to have one more shot...again.

Vague Ideas:

Vega/Warden: I just wanted to write about Hydra, and reference how she's friends with Caelum 💞

Vaelum Fluff: ...Okay soooo I kinda want to make a Vega/Caelum fic, but I don't really have any ideas for how to go about writing it, so it's just been a desire of mine silently floating through the void. I just know I want it to be soft and fluffy 💕

Kody Redemption P?: Maybe or maybe not a part where Chelsie goes to get her things back from her ex, but he tricks her into getting her alone so he can hurt her. Chelsie manages to reach Kody and in a very melodramatic fashion, Kody goes fisticuffs with her ex. He somehow gets out of it less harmed than Chelsie is, so she ends up in the hospital longer. This will be the second time she meets Damien, who will now be in a wheelchair.

Kody Redemption P?: I did want to include somewhere that he started going back to college somewhere else and met a cute and sweet girl that he likes and likes him back. It will also touch on how he slips back into his bad habits of stalking and possessiveness, but whether he stops talking to the girl or forces himself to correct his behaviours, I haven't decided yet.

Quinn Arc Shorts [My Ver]: I did intend once upon a time to fill in some of those blanks that Yours in Eternity, My Dearest had about what was going on with Quinn, but I'm not sure I have the desire to anymore honestly. I still have the spot reserved for it tho.

Vincent/Gracie&Dana(Stranger) Date OR Future Vincent/Dana: I have tossed the idea around to expand on Never Let You Go Again a little and have the three of them doing stuff together one day. I also had the idea of distant future Vincent after Gracie's passed away and how he and Dana start to hook up {Vampire/Mermaid couple anyone??] but idkkkk

Three ships: Bering and Wells, and then a whole lotta empty space, and then Rizzoli and Isles, and... uh... Beverly/Kathryn? Yeah, let's go with them. I have one (1) OTP and then a few couples that make me go "yeah, sure, why not!" 😅

First ship: Deanna Troi and Will Riker, before i even knew what shipping was. I have lost count of how often I have read Imzadi.

Last song I listened to: U Plavu Zoru, by Pink Martini, in my car. I rarely listen to music outside of driving. Pink Martini is such a delightful little orchestra; i love their music.

Last movie I watched: Puss in Boots, in trying to get through all the stuff in my Netflix queue before we cancel our subscription. It was a fun, entertaining romp.

Currently reading: fanfic. I did read a book recently, Legends and Lattes; it was fun - but these days, fanfic is just so much easier than investing in meeting new characters.

Currently watching: right now? Nothing, I'd say. Rewatching a few comfort shows, but not watching something new. For the same reason as books, really. I enjoyed Willow. I'm hesitantly looking forward to Picard S3. I was thrilled at hearing that new The Nevers episodes are coming out. But I'm also very disillusioned with streaming services these days.

Currently consuming: i just had a London 70% dark chocolate ball

Currently craving: respite. I've had a rough day, and a headache is pending. At least one more hour to go at work, alas.

The last place you traveled: Berlin ^^' It didn't go great, but that's not the city's fault. In fact, if the day hadn't been so utterly terrible, I might have enjoyed seeing her again in late springtime. Don't worry, Berlin, bby, I still love you.

I, like Patchy, do not have a WIP folder. I have a writing folder with subfolders and projects in varying states of completion and abandonment, divided by category: novel, short story, fanfiction, etc. Some are completed drafts pending revision and/or further beta reading; I'll label these with (Revise). Otherwise, you can assume I haven't completed the first draft. I'll label my current focus WIP with (Active), too. If not labelled Active or Revise, it's sitting in my computer collecting dust, and I may or may not ever get back to it.

I'm not listing stuff I consider complete and polished, 'cause that's not a WIP. I'm also not listing the pieces of scrap I never intended to share, nor duplicates, e.g. copies of the file with beta reader commentary. Some of what I do list (novels, particularly) are folder names, not filenames. Conversely, most of my fanfics are gathered in one massive Scrivener project, with copies of stories exported for beta readers. (Read: Patchy. I usually end up yeeting my fanfic drafts at Patchy, if anyone. Cx) I have a similar massive Scrivener project for my short stories. I'm listing subsections of those two .scriv projects that correspond to individual stories.

Site is now fully operational in pretty much every aspect, and our slightly delayed tagging and mapping mission is now fully under way again. The daycare equipment arrived and is currently being put inside the rehab section with the help of Willow's friend Karl. Backup generator is operational, and nothing needs fixing. In terms of mission status, all cameras are set up and recording, the GPS trackers are working, and the databases are all backed up and secure. The new camera is taking up a fair bit of file size, however. Pending yet another storm, we should be good to go for the foreseeable.

Soo helped Kamala out when her mosque was under attack in Ms. Marvel #22! She wasn’t shown to actually be in the fight when Hydra/Becky’s backup were fighting all the Inhumans and Mutants but in the end, we actually see Sooraya 

doing what looks like collecting her sand? Meaning maybe she just used her powers? Meaning she very well could have been fighting to defend the mosque too?

Also this was when the sheikh stated that evening prayer had begun and Soo had started to walk in. Jersey City and Manhattan aren’t that far apart from each other so it’s possible that Kam and Soo go to the same mosque and know each other and are friends. And Kamala really really values having a friend who’s Muslim and has powers bc of all the people in Kamala’s life, Kam would feel like Soo would just get her the best? It’s really easy for her to talk to Soo about superhero things and normal things and not have to lie or leave details out about anything bc she doesn’t feel like she has to hide her double life in front of Soo.
