001.  blog  abides  by  roland  barthes’  literary  theory  the  death  of  the  author.  meaning  that  as  far  as  my  interpretation  goes,  i  only  take  what  is  shown  into  consideration.  &  only  so  far  as  it  aligns  with  basic  logic  &  storytelling.   personal  headcanons  &  theories  will  largely  dictate  my  characterization. that  being  said,  i  am  more  than  happy  to  meet  my  fellow  roleplayers  in  the  middle,  particularly  in  regard  to  their  own  theories  or  canon  divergence.

002.  this  blog  is  not  to  be  taken  as  a  condemnation  of  any  religion  or  those  that  practice  it.  while  christianity  serves  as  a  clear  inspiration,  i  also  take  inspiration  from  classical  literature,  hellenism,  judaism,  history,  pop-culture,  folklore,  &  cosmic  horror.  much  of  my  research  on  voodoo  /  voodou  &  hoodoo  come  from  the  works  of  professor  charles  porterfield,  kenaz  filan,  &  several  modern  &  1920s  documentaries  (the  latter  only  used  to  measure  public  opinion).  an  important  note  is  that  alastor  is  no  better  a  representation  of  hoodoo  than  he  is  of  asexuality,  in  that  he’s  terrible  for  both.

003.  inconsistent  activity.  i  work  full-time,  volunteer  part  time,  &  suffer  from  chronic  illness  &  autism.  due  to  any  combination  of  these  factors,  don’t  expect  me  to  respond  in  a  “timely  fashion”.

004.  standard  rp  etiquette  applies.  please  keep  in  mind  that  none  of  these  characters  are  particularly  easy  to  overpower.  when  engaging  in  altercation  based  threads,  it’s  wise  to  plot  out  the  victor  first.  beyond  that  godmodding,  infomodding,  &  other  extreme  power  imbalances  require  prior  consent.  if  you  write  with  the  architect  or  roo  some  amount  of  consent  for  infomodding  is  generally  presumed. otherwise,  harming  or  killing  my  characters  is  generally  fine  provided  it:  serves  a  plot  purpose,  is  an  appropriate  narrative  escalation,  &/or  is  in  line  with  the  behavior  clearly  outlined  for  your  character.

005.   i  don’t  have  any  personal  triggers  in  regard  to  writing.  i  ask,  however,  that  you  avoid  discussing  any  persons  real,  ongoing  delusions  with  me,  politics  &  current  events.  (i  work  a  job  that  requires  me  to  be  both  politically  active  &  informed,  tumblr  is  where  i  go  to  to  turn  off).  do  not  involve  me  or  my  muses  in  any  discussion  involving  kinning,  fictives,  or  endogenic  systems.  i  also  ask  that  you  please  do  not  call  my  alastor  a  w*ndigo  in  any  context  for  cultural  reasons.  i  tag  any  trigger  i  can  think  of,  canon  typical  violence,  cursing  etc.  won’t  generally  be  tagged.  please  let  me  know  if  you  need  something  tagged.  i  tag  val  specifically  as  “romeo’s  val  cw”. in  addition  to  tagging,  if  a  reply  from  me  ever  makes  you  uncomfortable  (even  if  the  boundary  crossed  was  not  pre-established),  you  can  ask  me  to  rewrite  it  &  i  will  do  so  to  the  best  of  my  ability.

006.   ocs  &  crossovers  are  encouraged!  i  have  a  live-action  fc,  a  human  verse  etc.  for  most  of  these  characters.  the  same  goes  for  duplicates!  a  gentle  note  on  archangel  ocs  —  they  will  be  considered  sera’s  equals  at  best  if  not  actively  under  her  will.  sera’s  importance  in  the  angelical  hierarchy  in  heaven  is  emphasized  repeatedly  in  the  series  &  given  the  treatment  of  lucifer  before  he  fell,  i  doubt  that  ‘archangel’  means  much  at  all  to  her.

007.  open  to  shipping,  but  it’s  not  the  main  focus.  polyamorous  ships  may  occur,  but  #ad-nai  is  multiship  (ships  take  place  in  different  verses/times  unless  specified).  please  approach  me  before  involving  my  muse(s)  in  content  involving  non-canon  actual  or  implied  infidelity.  i  won’t  generally  ship  val  x  velvet  (i  view  his  feelings  towards  her  as  paternal),  i  am  unlikely  to  ship  adam  x  charlie  or  adam  x  emily.  my  sera  is  aroace  &  is  unlikely  to  be  shipped  with  anyone.  alastor  asexual  &  is  shipped  extremely  selectively.  the  architect’s  relationship  with  those  he  has  created  is  complicated  &  not  inherently  paternal,  nor  is  it  biological.  while  i  understand  that  mormons  view  his  relationship  with  lucifer  as  that  of  a  father  &  a  rebellious  son,  that  was  not  how  i  was  taught  it  nor  is  it  how  i  perceive  it.  i  generally  default  to  them  having  been  friends,  lucifer  created  as  an  adult  &  for  the  purpose  of  being  a  companion  &  jester.  i  will  default  to  my  writing  partner  for  how  their  relationship  developed  beyond  that  &  abide  it.  but  you  will  see  them  occasionally  written  romantically,  or  more  accurately  as  sad,  bitter,  spurned  exes  on  this  blog.

008.  i  generally  prefer  to  rp  on  tumblr  over  other  platforms  (i.e.,  discord),  but  i  am  willing  to  move  threads  over  if  a  plot  is  deemed  too  triggering  for  dash  or  a  mutual  prefers  writing  nsft  content  in  private.  i  write  with  rich,  literate  formatting  but  will  send  ‘clean’  (unformatted)  versions  of  replies  upon  request.  i  prioritize  threads  over  asks  &  plotted  stories  over  spontaneous  interactions.

CHILDHOOD HEADCANNONS, chishiya shuntaro

SYNOPSIS: a heart that couldn’t understand others but thrives to discover more. due to the neglect chishiya shuntaro had experienced during childhood, what could seemingly be the reason of such apathetic behavior?

★ genre & warning/s: angst, angst, angst

★ sera’s notes: i’ve thought of these headcannons while chatting w a friend on discord about chishiya’s past, technically the credit goes to them ++ if ever you like these headcannons of chishiya please do lmk i might make a part 2 !!

chishiya shuntaro, a seemingly outstanding yet clever individual from all his life that prioritized logic & reason over anything else being the solution to all of his issues, but yet why could’ve this brought him to a downfall?

with a sense of ignorance and inconsideration alongside an aptitude of vague emotions that had brought him to the future, his history during grade school & high school wasn’t the one to be expected, all including his household from childhood that had made him quite frankly abandon his fundamentals, he was just closely similar like the stars, the actions & visuals of how each was situated, having a reason with everything.

with a sense of ignorance and inconsideration alongside an aptitude of vague emotions that had brought him to the future, his history during grade school & high school wasn’t the one to be expected, all including his household from childhood that had made him quite frankly abandon his fundamentals, he was just closely similar like the stars, the actions & visuals of how each was situated, having a reason with everything.

act ii. situations / headcannons

001. due to the acts of renunciation he received from his guardians ever since childhood, there was always a lack of sense of love in every crevice of his household including quality time. shuntaro would always keep vast imaginations of friends to keep him company with his toys to feel a bit less lonesome.

002. since shuntaro barely received any sort of gifts from his guardians, he would always keep the one teddy bear his father bought him when he was still a baby to remind himself that maybe his ottou-san still thinks of him and he was just simply busy with a life as a surgeon.

003. unfortunately, his father was never present during shuntaro’s school events since he never bothered to acknowledge his achievements, large or not. furthermore bringing the other kids in the class bully him, and ever since that time shuntaro graduated gradeschool, his classmates would now profusely refuse to believe that he had a father that was the top surgeon, bringing that to the reason he never shows up to events.

“ya! shuntaro, it must be pathetic to lie about your father being the top surgeon eh? he must be a trash collector”

004. as slowly as he grew up, he started to prioritize logic over his emotions but was now thrown into a large amount of accusations of being a heartless human being, and since he was seemingly forcibly brought to the medical field, he decided to take the cardiovascular surgeon route to learn in more depth about the human heart and how exactly do people feel loved, yet unfortunately the years of studying that had gained nothing for him but a filthy certificate and a coat.

005. when he was a teenager and had saw various paintings from famous artists, which he couldn’t help but be intrigued with the idea of art, so whenever he had free time in the weekend he would attempt to paint him with his family in hope of them appreciating his effort. but by the time he showed them it was only a piece of trash that had acrylic paint smudged onto it.

act iii. profound conclusion

after all the occurrences of the lack of humanly emotions that chishiya shuntaro had brought himself upon due to the lack of teaching regimen nor sense of love from his parents, would there seem to be an escape from his adaptation ever since childhood?

even if he had ended up detached from human life, there was always hope he had with his parents finally treating him like a son, however, it seemed like from all of his attempts and abandoned actions, the conclusion had only brought him to realize that they never wanted a child whatsoever, but only someone to provide them money by the time they retire from work.

near death experience… 

imagine this: finals week of your senior year of college. you hate yourself so you're doing a double major in psychology and sociology with a minor in criminal justice. school is kicking your ass. plus, you're working an on-campus job at the library (which really isn't so bad) & also acting as a research assistant to your favorite professor. hell, basically. whatever. it's fine.

you decide to cash in your final paycheck friday morning before your last final. normal things. until the horrors. how were you supposed to know that this was the day that the biggest bank robber group was planning to hit this branch? now you're going to be late for your final and have to repeat a semester because you failed.

or worse, you know, you could die.

there's a moment where everything you learned clicks. a guest lecturer last year from the fbi was talking about behavioral analysis and negotiation strategies and you immediately knew it wasn't your thing. but it could be. it's going to have to be.

despite what the robbers said, you stand up with your hands up in surrender from where you were kneeling with the rest of the hostages. you start running your mouth, trying to use the negotiation tactics the agent spoke about (later, you'll remember he said that it's only theoretical and shouldn't be done without practice and backup but if theory isn't applicable, then what's the point?). they listen. for a solid two and a half minutes. then they shoot you in the neck with horrifying accuracy. extraordinary accuracy, even.

you don't really get to mull on that thought for long because you're bleeding out on the linoleum floor of this bank when you're supposed to be taking your final final and everyone and their mother is screaming in terror. whatever.

you've died.

and then you wake up in the hospital and mourn the fact that you're going to have to wait another semester for your degree. your advisor already hates you. this is probably going to push her over the edge.

the negation effects, essentially, powers that people control. it doesn't work so well on physiological powers (ie skeleton physiology) but will cancel something like superspeed immediately.

they need to know that a person has a power to be able to cancel it, so those with 'silent' powers won't be effected unless they know you have it and know when you are using it

but it's not like they really do anything with their power lolz... its mostly just used to help patients with alleviating any side effects & relaxation

if something happens to their eyes they're fucked essentially. thats why theyre almost always wearing sunglasses/goggles (also helps conceal who they're looking at)

Énigme N°001. Ap : L'un de ses cercueils justement est en train de "gronder" de façon inquiétante dans la fosse mortuaire du cimetière familiale d'un manoir jadis aristocrate et entretenu avec soin mais désormais négligés par ses héritiers. (Il n'y a pas de vampire qui va en sortir, comme le croit encore leur fils adolescent)

ÉNIGME N°002. Av : Cette dague, soigneusement conservée dans une vitrine du musée et inoffensive depuis presque un siècle, est un artefact de magie occulte. Elle va cependant bientôt fêter son premier millénaire et elle est impatiente d'obtenir son "level up" : toutes les âmes qu'elle a absorbé lorsqu'elle était utilisée pour ôter la vie sont enfuies en elle, elle a hâte de s'en débarrasser.

P : Les morphèmes sont donc des défunts dont l'âme était en sommeil à l'intérieur de la dague, ils ont tous été éliminés de leurs vivants par la dague, lorsque celle-ci était dans la main d'individus meurtriers. Les morphèmes n'ont qu'une espérance de seconde vie que de 1000 jours, avant de disparaitre comme de la poussière.

Ap : Nous vous proposons de rédiger la chronologie de ces 1000 jours, en y mixant des émotions, du drama, de la passion, des désirs, du chagrin, de l'incompréhension, tout ce qui sera bon à piocher pour rendre cela inoubliable.

ÉNIGME N°005. Qu'est ce qu'un Sinistros exactement ? Ils sont des chiens mais surtout des gardiens, qualifiés le plus souvent d'abominations monstrueux. Ils surveillent des puissantes arcanes, des artefacts démoniaques et édifices malveillants.

Cerbère est un chien à trois têtes qui tient fermer la porte principale des Enfers mais il existe d'autres chiens qui gardent d'autres accès pour garder fermer les Enfers, ce sont les Sinistros.

Ils leur arrivent de sur-estimer un ennemi de temps en temps, fonçant l'éliminer pour s'assurer que leur porte reste close alors qu'il n'était qu'un pauvre bougre hélas trop louche et impressionnant pour son propre bien.

ÉNIGME N°006. Av : il était dans une cave en train d'y moisir, enfermé sans pouvoir en sortir par ses propres moyens depuis plusieurs siècles par on ne sait qui, on ne sait pour quoi, jusqu'au jour où elle l'y trouva et le libéra en ouvrant les verrous. Il a été tout d'abord à ses yeux un affamé chien immortel qui parle par télépathie qu'elle a nourri d'un gros sac de croquette. Ce n'est que plus tard qu'il prendra une apparence humaine, nu avec un sceau ensanglanté rouge et noir sur le dos. Il ne lui donnera pas son véritable nom, il se fit nommer autrement, loin de ses lourdes responsabilités, il comptait prendre visiblement des vacances.

P : des "longues" vacances, dix-sept ans passent, il n'a pas pris une ride, il a une expérience de vie de 1000 ans alors non, il ne risquait pas de mourir ou vieillir dans sa sinistre cave. Il est resté au coté de celle qui l'a libéré, lui servant de chien de garde, chauffeur, compagnon de voyage dans ses déplacements, collecteur de dettes. Au fil des années, ses pouvoirs lui sont revenus : faire disparaître tous objets rien qu'en les effleurant. En réalité, il l'envoie dans ce qui l'appelle l'Hermes. Le sceau dans son dos lui permet de revenir de cet autre dimension.

Ap : ses responsabilités de "gardien du sceau" sonnent les cloches, des individus commencent à se pointer devant chez eux et sa patronne voit bien que les ennemis à sa porte ne sont pas ceux de la société, ils sont là pour 'lui' et pour la première fois, il ne se bat pas avec le sourire aux lèvres avec joie, il est en colère. Elle qui voulait récemment savoir justement ce qu'il était, elle pense que la réponse ne va pas tarder à venir.  __________

ÉNIGME N°007. [les insurgés] ce sont des individus ayant qu'une espérance de vie restreinte depuis que leur cœur a été arraché, cristallisé et avalé par le dragon rouge; leur attribuant à ces derniers des capacités rougeoyantes (sans avoir à passer par l'apprentissage...) et tous les insurgés sont en compétitions pour le tuer et avaler son cœur le premier. Ils seront pétrifiés à la fin du compte à rebours. Ce compte à rebours apparait sous la forme d'une tatouage à l'effigie de petits cristaux rouges et qui s'étend à partir l'emplacement de leur cœur absent. Il ne sait pas lui même cependant comment le tuer, comment parvenir à stopper sa régénération, il est immortel : il sait juste que cela a un lien avec le cœur des hommes qu'il cristallise.

Le peuple de Dieu vint dire à Samuel : Ne cesse point de crier pour nous à l’Eternel, notre Dieu, afin qu’il nous sauve de la main des Philistins (1 Samuel 7.8). Voici mon point : au besoin, partageons nos sujets de prière avec notre berger spirituel, sollicitons sa prière pour nous, pour notre famille, nos projets et entreprises ; ne vous en privons pas. L’apôtre Paul demandait toujours aux églises de prier pour lui, à plus forte raison nous ! (Ephésiens 6.19 ; Colossiens 4.3 ; 1 Thessaloniciens 5.25). Jacques 5.16 nous encourage à prier les uns pour les autres.

1 Samuel 12:23 : Loin de moi aussi de pécher contre l’Eternel, de cesser de prier pour vous ! Je vous enseignerai le bon et le droit chemin.

Qui prie pour toi ? Qui prie pour ta famille, ton entreprise, tes projets ? Je rends grâces à Dieu pour la vie de mon pasteur, de son épouse et de mes amis qui prient pour moi. Je suis l’écran de beaucoup d’unités centrales, des gens dans l’ombre qui prient pour moi.

El aceptar que las cosas no suceden como nosotros deseamos es un fuerte golpe bajo, es como estar ariba de un rin, durante los 10 rans vas ganando la pelea pero solo te vasta unos 3 segundos para que te noqueen toda aquella motivacion se te desvaneses, te encuentras en hospital todos te ven con una sonrisa, la enfermera te dice que estaras bien pero tu consiente te grita que as perdido la pelea.

Seguramente tendras dos opciones pones a llorar por el resto de la vida o con tus lagrimas riegas la planta que lleva por nombre tu persona; es dificil esa realidad donde no toemen en cuenta, donde sabes que das todo, pero aun no es suficiente te comienzas a custionar si eres tu el del problema, quizas no as dado el ancho, quisas tus habilidades no estan a las alturas, simplemente germinastes en sitio inadecuado.

hablar siempre sera una salida rapida, para cortar el monte que esta opacando la vida, como una fuerte lluvia en alta mar no saber el destino de tu camino, pero tienes una brujula llamada Dios que te gia hacia tu proxima meta.

        Brown hues glazed lazily over his company; he sat in the corner of the hospital room, bandages covering second degree burns on his arms, his face dropped in a checked out version of himself. He now looked less like he’d been mauled by a jaguar and more like he angered a house cat. “When are they gonna let you out of here?” He could only take so much of the boring white walls, white floors, white lights. His eyes strained to block out some of the brightness. There was only so much he could do to avoid seeming like a disinterested youth. “Fuck,” a sort of hissing sound made its way from his mouth as he haphazardly rubbed his arm agains the armrest of the chair he was sitting in, followed by a profanity. He had a better mind to rip them off, but he knew a breeze or the feel of his clothing would prove more discomfort than the bandages. None of it beat him wishing that he’d never been trapped in the fiery maze in the first place, although, looking over at Sera, he knew he hadn’t gotten the worst of the disaster.

    In hindsight, the weather wasn’t exactly the best for a picnic, but Soren had been pleased to see the faint hint of sunshine peeking out from behind the clouds that brought in the chilly breezes and overcast weather. He’d wondered if this was how it always was here, gray and dreary, and if it was like that everywhere.

   The sea was so bright, beautiful, and colorful, in so many places - even the dark areas were teaming with life and activity. 

   “Wow, so this is it, huh?” He remarked, perhaps unnecessarily, after their short trek to the site of the old castle. It was... more broken, than he’d pictured, but it still looked cool. Almost like a shipwreck, and he smiled at that; the moss over stone & log felt like the closest glimpse of ‘home’ in awhile. Of course, he’d attempted swimming without his fur, but the water was jarring and cold, and nothing like he knew, so he hadn’t tried since. “It shouldn’t rain or anything... but want to set up under some cover or something? I made some really tasty-smelling food, too, by the way. Um, I hope you like fish.”
