eclipse had begun, the sun blotting out in the skies above them and singling the arrival of night as the sun sunk beneath the horizon. neteyam watched it for half a breath, still soaked from their latest lesson. neteyam retrieved his carrier from the sand dunes of the beach, checking its contents for the last of the food they had brought with them from high camp. the ikran had yet to adjust to the sealife diet, mixing dried sturmbeest meat with raw fish seemed to be working for now.

❝ i'll meet you there. i need to tend to the ikran, ❞ neteyam said when he caught his sister's curious eye. he waved his siblings off, confident that after a long day underwater his siblings would be too tired to get themselves into any trouble. at least for a couple of hours. it was only after neteyam watched his siblings retreat back to the village that he realized tsireya wasn't among them.

Ten years ago I gave myself the challenge of watching 52 films in 52 weeks. I called it, "If you want to direct, watch things." My goal was to learn what I liked, why, and to encourage myself to write.

I exceeded my objective and ended my year with 150 films. I learned a little more about myself and what I could accomplish.

Over the years, I have lost motivation for my personal wellbeing. I've been overworked, stressed, depressed, unable to focus - but I'm feeling better now.

So, now I want to do it again. I want to push myself, challenge myself... because I can, because I'm up to it.

Now that the new year is in full swing I finally have the time to go over my personal stats :D I've watched 145 movies this year (excluding rewatches) which is just 4 movies shy of my high of 149 movies from 2017 but I didn't even try that hard lol

001. i'm not very active on tumblr as is, but this is all for fun & to talk about one of my favorite horror game series. don't expect me to be here 24/7 or to constantly be looking at my blog. i write and hangout here at my own leisure ♡

002. it needs to be discussed here and now. silent hill 3 has a lot of triggering themes, and deep symbolism for a lot of horrors women go through. it's the nightmare coming of age story for heather mason that involves a horrifying cult that's been tracking her down to fulfill a disturbing prophecy where she is to give birth to their god. it talks about the awful scenarios that women experience on a daily basis of being stalked, lacking say in their body & choices. these are things i will talk about here, as they're important to her story and i will not ignore the trauma she experiences. i will not roleplay a lot of those things here, but will discuss them.

additional: since heather / cheryl is the reincarnation of alessa, she also obtains pretty much the same psychic abilities, but also doesn't experience illness & pain like most humans. i'll expand later on her abilities & what makes her unique.

003. i'm not interested in shipping. i don't plan to do any romantic ships here, please don't try. depending on the timeline, heather is only 17 anyway and that's gross to ship her as a minor. anything post silent hill 3 she's 18, and that timeline is continued on into dead by daylight. i'm always for platonic relationships like platonic soulmates, or familial situations. but you'll get no romantic ships here.

004. no hatred of any kind is tolerated here. i think this is a staple in most rules, and i don't think i need to elaborate much on it as 'no hate' is very straight forward. no 'phobic' behaviors or words of any kind. my patience is limited.

005. you'll probably see me use the names heather and cheryl interchangeably. for those that aren't aware, she changes her name back to cheryl at the end of silent hill 3. in dead by daylight she's known as cheryl. both names are correct to me, i don't care what you use. i know some silent hill fans are insufferable about it but i personally don't care. i'm aware a lot of people know her mostly from dead by daylight as cheryl, and that's fine! i'm not going to be an elitist about it.

𝐇𝐄  𝐃𝐈𝐃𝐍'𝐓  𝐊𝐍𝐎𝐖  𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄  𝐇𝐄  𝐖𝐀𝐒,     it  looked  like  seattle  but  it  wasn’t  the  city,  there  wasn’t  enough  people  for  it  to  be  the  city.     plus  the  few  people  he  did  see  were  people  he  knew  were  gone,  like  the  first  patient  he  lost  was  someone  he  came  across.     but  none  of  them  was  who  he  was  looking  for  and  he  wasn’t  going  to  stop  till  he  found  her.     he  had  to  find  her.

she touches her cheek with an absence expression, the skin there cold. it bothers her, eats away at her insides. she remembers the floor, men towering over her. the fear. something she hadn’t felt in years. she stood before him now, lips pressed firm until... “ are you afraid of dying? “ she wasn’t. but it wasn’t her that would face death today.

malicious witnesses rise: they ask you things you do not know (‘are you afraid of dying?’) — it’s a question that gnaws at battle beaten bones (death: the monster that never stops, the sickness that TAKES AND TAKES AND TAKES, the beast with an indiscriminate hunger). it’s a question you oft ask yourself: why are you afraid? do you believe that this is anything less than honour to patriarch and people? tell me, warrior, are you stupid enough to fear what is already upon you? a question / no, A HARSH REMINDER of what you deserve, a duty. it’s all there is to this life (and what a life it is), that ever-present smudge in the corner of your vision, easy enough to look past but once it’s been noticed it’s something you can’t stop noticing. it’s the thing plaguing your dreams; the stain you cannot wash away no matter how many times you scrub palms RED RED RED-RAW; it’s the devil sleeping in your blood, the only thing stopping layers and layers of guilt from consuming what is left of you. yes, DEATH IS NECESSITY / LEGACY / LOYALTY to those who helped you become, for death is the act of becoming, the foundation on which you were born, a creation and a destruction all the same.

   it’s a question carved inside a carnivorous mind (a mind that lives a life of its own now): a death / a rebirth (for you are indeed alive again, bones trained to BREAK AND SNAP AND MEND are yours now) — back then, you memorised their deaths, imbued them into the expanse of your being in hopes that it would become easier but there is only so much a human being is meant to get used to (but that doesn’t apply to you, does it?): this is the reason for your retribution. IT’S AN ANSWER (words once unsaid / words once devoured) but this time death will not be on their terms. you know what you must do to those who handed you the happiest years of your life but you can’t help but wonder, how well will she do? you recognise her power, but does she recognise yours? does she see that fading light, too? their precious memories? that varied tapestry of times past? the one that’s unwinding as you realise you have no choice but to play the role so graciously bestowed upon you? there’s a clenched fist, for you keep those days in your palm / deep into darkness / that light is one you cannot reach anymore. yes, you are no longer he: GOD OF DESTRUCTION and you now share one body, one flesh; yes, memories are a blessing but names of the wicked will rot.

   remnants of a boy: his love, his hate, his thoughts are destroyed and all that’s left is a paradigm of destruction / an arcane god praying for its immoral soul: malevolent effigy stands firm. ❝      … it’s not the same as it was back then. i’m not scared anymore. if i must die once my duty is fulfilled, so be it. ❞

                    Cedric takes a deep breath.  He had known he’d have to do this eventually. Before he was here, standing in front of Viktor, he debated endlessly with himself about when to do this while he was visiting. And... and he’s not a coward, but a very large part of him wanted to leave it for the last possible moment. Still, he had given himself a deadline of halfway through his time here because, well, it seemed the fairest option for both of them. But that was before. Now-–– now-–– he takes another breath because he’s only been in Bulgaria a few hours. And he should wait, probably, but it’s been ready to burst out of him for nearly a year. If it hadn’t been for his last year at Hogwarts-–– for the fact that all their communication has been words sealed in envelopes-–– he doesn’t think he’d have made it this long without saying anything; without doing anything. 

          ❝ Vitja, ❞ he starts, and he’s not sure whether it’s simply his nerves that make him hear it, but he thinks his voice sounds a note too high.
