Dick clenched his jaw. “No offence, El, but I’m not talking to you about this,” Dick scoffed as his heart sank. “Why not?” El asked, “I’m here, I’m listening. I care about you Neal. We both do. Let us help you. Peter’s in the FBI, you should at least tell him.” “El, that’s the problem, you and Peter tell each other everything. Peter tells you everything and in return you tell him everything too. Don’t get me wrong, you two have the healthiest relationship I have ever known. But this is stuff that I never want to get back to Peter or the FBI. So I’m not going to talk to you about this.”
Aka: Dick!Neal talks to El about Slade and how messed up their relationship was. Trigger warning are in the tags and ANs.

unpopular opinion (long post)
This might be unpopular but its irking me a little bit, im actually completely OK with Lena punching Kara in the face.
Its not so much that Kara kept her identity a secret, that on its own doesn't warrant a smack or a punch (if they had been dating then it absolutely would) because that’s beyond disturbing behaviors,
No for me its, as i’ve mentioned before the way that Kara treated her as Supergirl, especially in season 3.
Now yes Kara has been lovely to Lena as Supergirl, the same as Lena has to her. they have actively saved each others arses on more than on occasion.
BUT season 3 and 4 gave us a look at what Kara can be like when she feels her authority is being questioned. Kara was instantly p**sed at Lena for daring to keep Reign a secret, no regard for WHY just accusations. Honestly why Kara was there while they interrogated Lena is beyond me, she doesn't actually have a DEO rank? But whatever. She instantly got p**sed that Lena had some leftover kryptonite (we know she made it) and immediately took it as threat, even though Lena IS her best friend. What irked me the most about season 3 was that Kara didn't really give a lot of thought to Sam, in her beef with Lena it was always Kara, Kara, Kara. The fact that Lena did all of this FOR SAM to protect her went completely over Kara’s head.
Kara also got p**sed that Lena dared to have tech that she didnt know of or approve of. Lena literally told Kara that the force field on Reign’s cell prevented Kryptonian’s looking through it, so what was the first thing Kara does? Why she tries to look through it and gets p*ssed that it caused a bit of pain. She instantly rounded on Lena and saw something SHE personally could nosy through as a threat. I mean Lena could literally just have used this so she wouldn't be spied on in the shower by passing Kryptonian’s. Just because Kara does have X Ray vision doesn't mean shes entitled to be able to see everythong (*cough* Batgirl *cough*) This scene was basically like telling someone not to put their hand in the fire because it will burn, only for them to instantly do it and then get upset with you for built the fire in the first place.
I was beyond happy that Lena brought Kara down a peg or two, ive said it before but Kara is rarely seriously questioned by anyone and it seems to have gone to her head. Kara’s authority is mostly what shes bestowed on herself, much like Superman.
But anyway, Kara seems to have realized she’s been a colossal ass and jumped to conclusions, because she has a really awkward exchange with Lena and says she hopes it wont ruin their friendship. See my issue here is that Kara thinks she can attack Lena but because she has had a change of heart its still all good? yeah... no. Lena tells her what for again, poor love tells her she has friends that trust her, not knowing the very woman she is referring to is the same woman shes talking to.
Kara then gets pissed that Lena gives Kara whats ‘left’ of the kryptonite.  I mean you were upset she had it and now you’re upset shes giving it to you? Once again the fact that this could help her fight Reign and save Sam when she and the others have spectacularly failed goes over her head and she attacks Lena again, who quite rightly tells Kara that lots of things in the world could hurt her but she goes on with life and doesn't whine about. Kara seems to think that NOTHING on Earth should ever be allowed to exist that could hurt her or any other Kryptonian completely forgetting  recent Kryptonian attacks, one of which she did herself oh and the current one. This is pretty God like behavior. She also doesnt have issues with DEO having weapons that  can hurt other aliens, as long as it isn't her.  Kara even pulls the ‘Luthor’ card on Lena. Note through all this its always Kara who has the issue with Lena, Lena has no issues with Supergirl until she attacks her.
Kara thinks she has the authority to tell Lena she isnt coming to the dark valley to try and save her friend Sam, i mean why is Kara calling the shots here? She does redeem herself a bit when she tells Reign to take her instead of Lena, but honestly? Kara would have done that for literally anyone, this isn't because its Lena.
Lena even returns to the DEO the moment Kara is in danger of dying. Lena has pre-made suit that even has the House of El crest on it!
Remember also, that even after the interrogation, Alex asked Lena to just tell her why she didnt let on about Sam and Alex was absolutely OK with Lena’s explanation and didnt harp on about it, this is Alex Danvers whose life is dedicated to protecting Kara’s.
Kara then did the ONE thing that i thought was so below the belt. She meddled in Lena's relationship and put it at risk. She quite literally went to Lena's boyfriend, a man who not long ago wasn't going to give her the time of day and wanted her in prison no matter what and Lena had to learn to trust, and Kara asked him of all people to betray Lena’s trust. Kara could have asked any DEO agent, but no, apparently James, the one person she SHOULDNT have asked to betray Lena was the only one who would do it? Im sorry Kara you dont do that under any circumstances. Kara is dumb anyway because she trusts James! He literally breaks into L Corp, then he lies to Kara and then drops her in it with Lena? There was NO reason for him to do that, he just wanted the best of both worlds.
Kara gets pissed that Lena dared to make Harun El for anyone other than the mighty Kryptonian’s that have decreed that this substance they dont understand, arent even close to understanding and has the power to keep civilizations alive is NOT allowed to be used for the benefit of humans, but a human is allowed to  make it for the benefit of Kryptonians and only kryptonians, Yeah, Argo would be a floating city of dead people if it wasn't for Lena managing to figure something out in about a week that the entire race of advanced scientists o Argo weren't even close to doing. The fact is Kara jumps down her throat again, but this time its Alex that comes to Lena’s defence.
The problem when it comes down to it, is that Kara is too quick to assume the worst in Lena, when she used to be the exact opposite. This is shoddy writing and OOC but unfortunately its what happened. Kara thinks she has authority over all things and the fact is she just doesnt.
Getting James to betray Lena was the worst one for me, and the one that warrants a smack or in this case a punch in the face. If my best friend asked my significant other to betray my trust because she decided she couldn't trust me oh and then acted like she had nothing to do with it while i vented i would think about punching her and if it was the other way round she would probably think the same, and she would justified because that isnt friendship.
Kara was Jekell and Hyde with Lena, she even looked her nose down at her in season 2 when she and Superman landed on L Corp’s balcony to talk to Lena and Lillian, the look Kara gave Lena has stuck with me because it was so superior, like because she was now standing with Superman she had more authority? Was she trying to measure up?
Then there’s the fact that Kara has no issue letting Lena think her ass is in danger, or letting her think shes been blown up!
Kara knows the amount of betrayals Lena has faced, but she just kept on going  and it was wrong. If she had no intention of telling Lena and letting her be the only one in her new found family that apparently wasn't trusted enough then she should never have gotten so involved with Lena in the first place.
Kara ignored Lena after Mon El left, then only came to her when she needed her help, essentially her money and her influence. Then once shed asked for it she fobbed off Lena’s attempt to reach out to her. Lena actually does use her power and her own money to save Cat Co and Kara is just  like ‘oh ok, but i quit’. It was using Lena and it was harsh, even if Kara did say she would go back. Then you have Kara’s blatant disregard for Lena as a boss.
The fact is Kara picks and chooses her attitude to Lena, she should pick ONE not have multiple personalities, choosing to support her on minute, ignore her the next or accuse her of misdeeds in another.
Now think about what Lena is thinking? Kara lied about who she is, Lena is going to know a Super came to investigate her the moment she arrived in National City, this same super integrated herself into Lena's life and they got close, but Lena is probably wondering why that was now? If Lena had befriended Kara knowing she is Supergirl you know it would have been instantly treated as suspicious. Kara treated her like she was bad even after Lena helped save her and the world several times. Kara used the relationships Lena built against her. Kara acted like she had dull authority over her, she let her think her life was in danger or she was dead more than once. Yeah id be pretty p**sed to.Lena may even wonder why Kara pushed her to date James of all people, someone who wasnt a fan of hers, but then suddenly was? Oh was that so he could stay close to Lena and be used against her? To spy o  her? Lena ‘s feeling arent something Kara can just play with depending on how the mood hits her, actions have consequences and treating people like this isnt cool.
Its a lot for Lena to process, and its not like she can ask kara about it, even when Kara knows Lena knows she cant trust the explanations Kara may give her.
If Oliver punched Barry the fans would just be like ‘ahh man! They’ll make it up’
Batman and Superman fight, ‘ahh man! They’ll make up’.
But Lena punches Kara? ‘Oh my God abuse!!’
i dont think Lena is punching Kara because of the secret itself, shes probably punching her because of all the s**t that came along with it.
(if you dont agree fine, but dont send hate)

Animalistic
Arthur was breathing heavily. His dumbass had wondered away from the tourist group and now he was out in the middle of nowhere. No cell service. No lighting. No nothing. He'd jump slightly at any noise that rose up from behind the trees and bushes.
"Godamnit, you idiot!" He yelled aloud as he tapped his phone frantically attempting to attract any service. As he walked, he failed to pay attention to where he was going and fell down a hill. He rolled and rolled for a long while before he landed hard on the ground. Groaning, he dusted himself off and looked up.
There was a sign, a bit old and decomposing, but it was a sign of civilization in Arthur's mind. It read "Cuidado con el animal de dios" but Arthur didn't see it as anything sinister. Using it to prop himself up, he opened his phone up. Still, no service. "C'mon fuck!" He barked as he walked towards the field.
As he walked more, he covered his nose. There was a very earthy smell. As went further though, until he ran smack into a creature. It grumbled before looking down at the flustered man. A tuff of fur covered its eyes a bit as its fur tone had a slight purple tent to it.
"Oh..heh...sorry." Arthur apologised to the animal. It tilted its head a bit as he stood up. Dusting himself off again, Arthur messed with his phone. "You wouldn't so happen to know where I could get service, huh?" He asked it. The alpaca snorted and nudged the man a bit. "You do?" He asked playfully. The animal huffed and moved its head down, smelling between Arthur's legs. Arthur yelped and moved its head back.
"Hey hey!" He said with a flustered tone. "Don't do that!" The animal disregarded his discomfort and lowered its head again, Arthur trying to force it up. During this struggle, a herder stormed up a bit angry.
"¡Oye! ¿¡qué estás haciendo aquí!?" Arthur froze a bit as the herder scolded him. He pointed to his phone and shook his head.
"Um...English? I Don't understand. I um...I got lost from my group and..."
"Oh," The herder said, tone turning to English. "A lost tourist. Come, follow me." Arthur was hesitant but followed anyway. As they walked, he was a bit creeped out that the animal continued to pursue.
"Stay here for tonight." The herder said as he pointed to small bed in a rustic hut. "I will lead you back to them tomorrow." Without another word he walked outside. Arthur hugged his knees to his chest as he looked around. His ears filled with the sound of the wild and his skin crawling from the insects around him. "Fuck dude," he told himself. "I'll be dead by morning- AH!" Yelled out as he saw the alpaca walk in. It just stood there, eyeing him.
Arthur placed his hands between his legs on instinct. "Sit boy! Easy boy!" He commanded it like it were a dog. Oddly enough, it complied. Stepping closer it lowered to the ground in a resting position. Arthur eyed it with caution until he realized it was nos asleep. Breathing in relief he yawned and laid on the small bed, his eyelids now too heavy for him.
As the morning sun assaulted his eyes, Arthur blinked a few times before he sat up and yawned. He stretched some and looked around. Right...he was in the middle of nowhere. He looked towards where the alpaca was an froze.
There. There where the animal was supposed to be, was a very much naked man. Muscular, tan skin, with purple hair. He was curled up with his face towards Arthur. The lost tourist gulped and looked around. Who the hell was this? Another lost dude? Nah...a lost person's first instinct isn't to strip down.
Kingsmen slowly stood up, and in doing so made a small noise. The man noticed and woke up, rising slowly like a beast. Arthur started to sweat and it wasn't just because of the south american heat. The man smiled at him and gruffed a bit. He crawled forward, Arthur now completely red. The nude man just rubbed his head against Arthur's as a means of affection.
Just then, the herder walked in. He snickered and crossed his arms. "Seems he's taken a liking to you," the herder slapped the once alpaca on the back, the man looking back with an angry fave. "You're clearly foreign. I mean, you whole style gives it away. Anyway, this is Lewis, animal of the gods." The herder held a hand out to help Arthur up, but Lewis frowned and quickly grabbed onto the English speaking man. The herder grunted. "He's stubborn. Reason he was a damned alpaca all these hundred years-"
"Hundred years!?" Arthur shouted out. Lewis smiled at him and hugged him close, Arthur growing hot against the bare skin.
"400 years give or take. My family line was meant to always keep him away from any other human so he doesn't change back, but as we now see," He glared at Arthur a bit. "Anyway, now that he's been turned back, he's your problem now."
"Hold up!" Arthur protested. "My problem? What do you mean?"
"You know, feed him, let him live with you, mate-"
"Mate! Wait hol up!" Arthur was instantly pushed down on the ground, the man above him smirking as he licked his teeth. Arthur gulped. "Sir, what about me getting home?"
The herder chuckled. "Don't worry bout that. Right now, I'd be worried about that length of his. Alpaca's typically have an 8"-12" one." With a wink, the herder went off wherever. Arthur gulped.
"Ea...easy boy?" Arthur squeaked out one final time.
(Is it shitty? Yeah. Is it loosely put together? Yep. But hey, you gotta pop em out when you gotta pop em out.)

DC MASTERPOST >3
It’s no secret the DC universe is something of a DCpointment. There’s no cohesion in sotrylines, films are released at odd and illogical times and I decided to rewatch and give proper reviews.
MAN OF STEEL 2013 7/10
This film is something of an outlier on the DCEU, because it is not terrible.
The strengths of this film are defiantly the first act, I feel it was a clear and concise way to create backstory without the stereotypes of following him through childhood into adulthood, they did a great job of creating krypton and establishing an antagonist with a clear motive. I liked the jump straight into adult with flashbacks when confronted with items from his past, it allowed us to understand his past without saturating his journey all at once. Arguably the first arc of this film is completed here with Clark/kal discovering who he is and why he is here. The second arc of General Zod trying to bring back his people is still very well done, providing us more relevant backstory and shows logical actions from both sides of the fight nearing the end of the film. The biggest weakness of the film in my opinion is that it is 20 minutes too long. When superman destroys Zods ship killing the artificial children of krypton, I feel this arc was complete, although the after fight solely fought between SM and Zod does show us the struggle superman goes through becoming the last kryptonite in exaistance, this does not outweigh the pointless mass destruction this causes, on top of a already destroyed city. In my cut this would be disregarded.
Final thoughts of the film; my favourite part was the shot of ‘ALERT’ that slowly turns to ‘Toner empty’, a good transition and piece of direction. I’m giving this film 7/10, in my classification would make it a good Netflix film, one I’d be happy to watch but not pay money to solely see. It was a hard choice to not make it a 6 however, I rank wonder women as a 7, and this is more than equally as good, the only things preventing me from giving it a higher rank is it’s rewatchability. Personally I rarely would due to its lack of joy and humour, and overall darkness, not just in plot but also in cinematography and colour grading.
BATMAN V SUPERMAN 2016 6/10
Batman v superman had all the the ingredients to be the summer blockbuster, but as predicted it followed every DC film and tanked.
Their are some aspects of this film that are genuinely good, giving it a 6, one of those things is the first act of the film where we are introduced to Batman, although I didn’t personally feel the need for another origin story, the way this scene is directed especially with the earl sequence is fantastic, adding depth and differing from older versions of the same story. The other good thing about this film is the Batman fight scene, it is so well articulated and choreographed, i struggle to see how it fits within the wider film which is strangely badly directed, edited and in-cohesive.
Continuing from this idea, I feel the dream sequences are one of the leading problems for the in-cohesion of the film, the issue with these sequences is, if they are not well done it stops the audience trusting more daring scenes, ultimately taking you out of the story. Next, I feel another reason this doesn’t live up to its hype is, again, DCs continuous frenzy of oversaturating it’s film with characters. Here I argue Wonder women is not needed in the end fight, the fight could just have easily gone on sitbout her, or, if they had released wonder women before this film so we felt more engrossed in the character it wouldn’t been fine. However her and all the other justice league promo clips, should not have been in the film in the context they were as they’re a corporate shoehorn, promoting further projects. The other character I feel is unneeded is ‘Doomsday’, he’s quickly thrown in at the end of the film, and honesty an antigunist shown to us at the end of the film will never give the depth and fear of a hero fight, as a villain shown throughout the movie.
To me, Batman V Superman is a movie. Not a film, crafted and worked on to create a narrative for the audience, but a summer movie to get the kids out the house. The idea of having two meta humans as important as Batman and superman battling each other should boggle the mind, as the first avengers did for me or civil war for a closer comparison. But the difference with the MCU spectaculars is, they earned their right to blow people’s minds, DC is playing catch up and trying to get praise and awe without the hard work.
SUICIDE SQUAD 2016 3/10
Wow. This review has been hard to create and will most likely feature ideas from other reviews via podcasts and YouTube due to the fact this movie boggled my head in the sheer awfullness that ensued.
As always, I begin with the strengths of the film. In this instance it’s slight. I loved the aesthetics of the branding for the film, the colours, the neon animations, I loved it all. The mini descriptions in the film were funny and added to the VeRy little personalities of the characters. It is important to point out this clearly wasn’t present in the first edits of the film, but due to good feedback of later trailers that were released they were added, which is why this element of humour is the only of its kind that lands in the film.
Next I normally look into the storyline and the character arcs of the film, arguably my second favourite aspect to look for in a film. In suicide squad there is none, and there aren’t any. That sounds harsh, but the reality is there is no cohesive storyline, it follows no one character individually and the film darts back and fourth between every character, no matter the timeframe. Dean Dobbs (from adventures with dean and Bertie’s podcast) best describes this as ‘like playing a video game where someone is skipping every cutscene’ and this is absolutly true, especially when looking at the relationship of the joker and Harley Quinn. This film is so badly edited, As jack Howard describes, this film contains no scenes, it is obvious the whole film was rehashed and re-edited after the release of BVS (which crashed at the box office) and the final trailer was released, which was very different from the first few as it showed humour and action, and it is evident they cut out almost everything apart from these things. I would best describe it as many GoPrandall videos I have scrapped as I tend to forget to film opening sequencers and filler clips to show the progression of the story told apart from the action, and this is exactly how I felt about the editing of this film, they did the best with what they got but it wasn’t enough.
Although there was a lack of character arcs, this film had an ABUNDANT amount of characters to fill its shoes. This film crams as many famous faces in as many characters
As it can, because for some reason DC refuses to create stand alone films due to the catch up to the MCU that’s going on. We’ll start with the joker, or more exactly the 10 minuets of joker we got. Many scenes with the joker were so heavily edited, and deleted, it is hard to judge Jared Letos performance, because he didn’t have chance to give one. But, as a side note the hand on the mouth laugh is one of the WORST cinema moments I’ve experienced only closely beaten by ‘were bad guys it’s what we do’. Yuck. But we’ll finally look at the ‘suicide squad’, although looking at them it’s hard to identify why they are in this squad. We’ll start with reason no one on the team seems to have a reason to be there, aprt from deadshot, who had his daughters arc to think about. All the others just seem to around and don’t want to die and get out of prison. VERY good motives DC, you’ve outdone yourself this time. Next we can look at the abilities of this so called ‘meta human’ squad and how under utilised they really are, which could show why this film failed so badly. Firstly deadshot- ‘never misses a bullet- amazing at trick shots.’ Who in the film performs close quarter headshots, the same as the Seal team next to him, and in the film performs 1 trick shot. 1. That was in establishing scene right at the beginning, but he isn’t the only victim, we can look at Boomerang, my favourite character by far, with one the coolest abilities, who throws a total of:5 boomerangs and catches: 2. Let’s be honest Harely is there as the jokers Love Interest and to keep him in the film. We can also look at el deablo, the man that can shoot fire but refuses until he’s bullied for a whole minute. The worlds worst archaeologist who starts the entire battle, after BREAKING AN ANTIQUE immediatly after finding it (bravo) who if wasn’t attempted to be weaponised, would’ve skipped this whole mess. Slipknot, a man who could climb any wall or anything, who immediatly dies after climbing a wall, but don’t worry because they don’t even want you to worry about this due to the fact they don’t even intro him before he magically appears on the squad, hoping the audience will react ‘oh he’s going to be important!!! What a mystery man!!’. This is almost as bad as Katana, who adds nothing the story apart from a short intro and when she cries to her dead husband, at which point I began to cut my toenails, something I gave more of a shit about.
But, it is obvious I’m a teenage marvel fanboy just shitting on DC,and I hate when people complain without offering another viewpoint, therefore, to fix this, I would dedicate this film to the viewpoint of deadshot, giving him the character arc of changing with the goal of seeing his daughter- eliminate the extra characters- slipknot/katana and either dedicate more time to the joker and harley sub plot or eliminate entirely, NOT BOTH. With this, better editing around these eliminated plot points could make a more coherent story with more empathetic story arcs. I have a full idea for a plot but this is too long as it is.
WONDER WOMEN 2017 7/10
Wonder women is a refreshing instalment into the DCEU, showing they seem to e learning, but are still falling behind on some of the most basic hurdles.
Firstly, as always we’ll start off with the strengths of his film, firstly it is vividly important to recognise that this is the first major Superhero film to be directed, and sustain a heavy female cast. It does so fantastically and leaves me more excited for the next instalment now knowing female directors and stars now have evidence for an accomplished superhero movie, which arguably has outdone the past 2 major films. With this we see a brilliantly refreshing opening act with a subtle and bright, vibrant origin story.
However, this film slowly returns to madness throughout the film when major plot holes appear, and the film making quality slowly deteriorates. Firstly, the iggest plot hole that has been so easily overlooked is the WW1 aspect. Given a World War Two film, having the Germans be the sole enemy is obvious and logical, however WW1 is not as simple as this and the use of Germans as the enemies is vaguely lazy. Also, as DC loves to do, it adds in extra characters and neglects to give them logical and coherent backstory and arcs. We only need to look at the ‘best marksman in the war’ who doesn’t fire a single shot, and continues not too all the way to the end of the film, showing no growth. The final plot hole is what draws it into the wider EU. The entirety of this film is showing Diana that the human race is bad and should be left alone, although when she defeats arias, this is meant to break this curse and peace seems to be restored. But, in BVS she claims to have stopped helping mankind because of their evils, neglecting Stalin, WW2 and the Vietnam war to name a few, but making a reappearance for- lex Luther. Wow.
Although in almost most of its entirety this was a pleasant watch, my personal issue stopped this at the third act when the final fight begins. To me the film returns to DCs favourite colour scheme of dark and clouded, and uses quite frankly some of the worst CGI I’ve seen recently, making me wonder why they didn’t at least try to incorporate real elements, such as Marvel, but this is still the best DC film after man of steel and I’m excited to see more female led and directed films come to screen.
JUSTICE LEAUGE 2016 5/10
This will be the shortest of the DC reviews, this is the film I’ve seen least of the lot and I feel I’ll need at least another viewing to get a full understanding. To premise this I fully understand Zack Snyder had personal issues leading him to leave and Joss take over, and this is in no way mocking him.
But I’ll dive in, maybe the fact I’m struggling to write this review tells me a lot about the movie. Wonder women was one of the only saving graces of this move, she was well understood and I feel her likeness as a character was well transferred from WW to JL. Contrary to this, I’m struggling to write about cyborg and flash, we were given next to no backstorys, although the flash’s was hinted at at least twice that I recall and what we were given were quite chaotic. Batman was a major letdown for me, coming down from BVS where he was a certified badass taking on superman, he turns into a wimp and hides for a majority of the film, quite evidently showing Ben affleck Clearly does not want to be there. I feel the overall plot of the film was almost underatsnvle, but had the taken the time to set up this storyline in previous films it would’ve been much better, this movie lacked the right to have all these characters on screen together. The characters had adequate screen time each, but contrary to its biggest rival ‘the avengers’ this really wasn’t that special, most of the characters had the same abilities, barring the flash, and the way the avengers films have shown all the characters working together simultaneously in cinematic mastery, you can see hints of Joss attempting this, but with a bad set up it’s an impossible task.
I conclude, not going into the issue with the CGi because I don’t have that much time.

Supergirl Season 2 -Episode 9
James could have jumped directly on the two and taken them out way faster that way but I guess he had to have a dramatic entrance and one-liner. Way more sensible that way.
James and Kara are both being really vain, trying to push the story of how they stopped a relatively meaningless crime. Freaking gloryhounds. Although, I think they could have used this crime to talk about the level of escalation Supergirl “forces” on the criminal element. Don’t think jewelry thieves normally run around with rocketlaunchers. It wasn’t even that effective but it did buy them a few seconds which is more than guns and rifles would do. On one hand, Supergirl reduces crime by virtue of being super, on the other, those who do commit crimes feel the need to up the ante in terms of force to use because anything but the space stuff and drastic weapons is just a waste of time.
But yeah, let’s ignore that and focus on James and Kara’s pissing match. And the new boss being a jerk.
Of course Kara is on the missing persons case, whereas the boss isn’t up for it. Bet you episode ends with him having done something good because deep inside he is good or some crap like that.
Could they be portrayed any more evil? And who wears a fancy red dress like that that is surely inconvenient to wear in an empty warehouse in the middle of the day? Doesn’t she own any casual clothes?
I feel Mon-El would be more tolerable as a character if he wasn’t the love-interest.
Wow, red suns works fast. Would have thought they’d have a few hours at least, having had constant exposure for years now.
See, while it’s admirable of Kara, and I guess that’s why she is a hero and normal humans are not, a complete disregard for personal safety or any sort of plan outside of “things will work out” is actually not helpful in general.
After the Alex-Meggy stuff, the highlight of the season so far is the Winn and James side-story.
You know, it’s upsetting to hear them constantly talk about spacetravel when we know for a fact krypton didn’t have ships big enough for more than a small child to fit into them. Or in the other case, totally deserved to be wiped out because they were too stupid to get on one of their countless spaceships. Like damn, not to blame the victim here but how come, if they had been a thriving space civilization that everyone except Kara, Clark and the phantom zone people died? No one on other planets? Seems to be that the kryptonians stupided themselves into extinction.
You know, pity that the kryptonians didn’t have access to the portal/star gate stuff.  I mean, even the martian has heard of them.
Why have that one alien guy know english? Why not have Kara and Mon El speak kryptonian/daxxian/basic or whatever?
Oh wow, the Daxxian planet had slavery?
Kara can be mule-headed to the point of frustration at times and it’s rather annoying to see her at times succeed with stupid as shit plans because the plot demands it to. Again, super nice of her to want to help the girl regardless of her having powers or not but still, not the best planner. Just hoping for blind luck and the script to save her is not really commendable. “She meant well” is unfortunately not a comfort to anyone when you’re dead.
Maggie didn’t see Alex for like a few hours. How come four hours of no calls or texts are enough for her to get down to her job station? They are adults with important, time consuming jobs, she had to have known they can’t stand in contact every second of the day. Dunno, feels contrived.
I don’t think having an emotional “this is wrong” speech/breakdown to a slaver is going to be all that effective. Especially if that slaver had a deathfight ring. I love how Kara is shocked beyond belief here. If their sister planet has had legalized slavery, even if she hates it, would she be shocked? She has to be used to the concept at least on some level.
I’m loving Winn at the moment. Him being scared of combat and stuff. Cisco and the rest kinda got used to it super easy but it’s great to see a “normal” person who has no combat abilities or mind for it, being forced into it.
Yay, another hope but nothing of substance speech from Kara.
See the perspective Mon-El has, is not a wrong one. Maybe it is the less admirable one, but wrong? Not really. That is not to say that Kara is wrong either. Both have their place and are suitable for different people.
But I dislike that the show is painting it as the wrong one. Kara is right, giving up is not the right thing to do. On the other hand, a tactical retreat and some planning instead of blindly charging in and hoping for the better is also the right thing to do.
Bet you she didn’t plan that.
Great planning, Miss tactical genius. Leave the way back and the one person capable of bringing them back alone, without securing the portal at all. Yeah, the one guy who is terrified of being here and has no combat abilities is surely going to prevail against the slavers roaming the planet.
Mon-El was close to the prince of his planet, right? Probably from an important family himself. Guess either his position or his family makes him a bigshot to the slavers.
Lucky that there was only one guy and not two or fifteen. Then this would have ended differently.
Yeah, probably easier to dismantle that thing.
Guy could have shown a little emotion at Kara bringing a story about alien slavers on a far away moon that kidnapped human.
Don’t like Mon-El trying to be a hero. Would have rather he stayed like he was. Selfish and self-serving and all.
Okay episode, I guess.
