The Saiyan conqueror stared, the confident spark in his night-black eyes and smug smirk troublingly absent. Instead, a thoughtful grimace replaced it. His fingers twitched against his knee and he shifted in his seat. Once. Twice.

" I have my...concerns, " he admitted at last, gaze shifting instead to a window and the stars whizzing by beyond it. " Cleverness can only get you so far in this game and my physical power...has its limits in comparison to at least a few would-be usurpers. I have the fruit but...even that might not be enough. "

A pause, his hand balling into a fist. " But, in true Saiyan fashion I suppose, I would much rather die in my pursuits than run with my tail between my legs. " Despite his words, his usual pride remained absent. " I came this far, from a sniveling brat who used his brains and brawn to fake his death and escape Frieza's clutches to building something grand. Thus, come what may. I have far too much to prove. "

" Yes. "

The Gerudo hesitated none, the word leaving her painted lips with unfaltering conviction. Her ties to Earth had grown significant in her time there, the few people she allowed close enough and their relationships to her invaluable. But...despite it all--the fun, the danger of protecting it, the sorrows, and the trials overcome--it was not home. The Gerudo Desert was her home. Her people were her home. The planet, the Gerudo...all of it was ripped from her and she spent years not even knowing it. The moment she set foot on the ship, she never saw it again.

It was unfair. To her. To her people. And perhaps some would argue about making deals with devils, but she would spit in their face for their ignorance. Their privilege of never being so desperate to save themselves that they had no other choice.

" Earth has had enough do-overs, I think, " she continued, gold eyes darkening. " Call me selfish. You can even call me a hypocrite. But considering how many times this planet has been saved because its lucky enough to have warriors powerful enough to protect or, more fortunate still, magical, wish-granting artifacts to bring it and it's people back from destruction...I don't think it's to horrific of me to think my people and planet deserve a second chance, too. "

@saiyanandproud - Can I just say that I’ve been secretly a big fan of Mariko for well over a year? ;0; Sometimes get a little embarrassed over that fact, but our rp’s have really picked up recently and it’s making me thankful that we actually have a proper theme going on between our babies!! ;w; I love seeing all of Mariko’s little shenanigans on the dash with everyone, her personal relationships blooming while she herself is growing as a person with every thread I peek into. Like I’ve stated previously, for an OC based around a limited concept of being a time patroller, she really extends her reach past her occupation. Mariko is a well rounded OC who aspires for genuine recognition as a hero, even if she dares to fly a little too close to the sun. She’s nobody’s fool, incredibly straightforward and a fantastic friend. All that aside, you’re such a humble mun and I enjoy even just holding little conversations about our day or how you’ve been holding up. Seriously, I’m glad you’ve stuck around tumblr this long for us to write great stories together! I’m positive any veterans familiar with her would be so damn happy to see she’s as active as ever!

@viopolis - It started with my HUGE juicy eyes over the fact an actual Dr.Gero graced this community, but my Lord did I absolutely stay for your highly talented world building with Dek, Khett, Nucleo, and many more OC’s that deserve equal praise. I love digging into your posts involving the Aseity, what it means for everyone involved aboard the vessel and how it connects them together. I envy that level of dedication with story weaving, how it fits so perfectly even with canon characters like Cell-- oh MAN speaking OF HIM. You’re the only other person I’ve met who understands how green mean bastard bug functions without adding unnecessary traits to his personality. Your basically my Cell twin in that regard, some minor differences for sure, but generally on the same page. THAT, AND CLEO! MY ADOPTED GOTH SON. Each time I see his face is the moment I feel my arms wanting to hug the computer monitor, like... Wow, I love him just as much as I do Cyto and thats a lotta love. I certainly WILL NOT forget about Dek because they’re a mischievous alien CREATURA I wish to smoosh with my hands respectfully. Look I just... I really love all your muses dude, absolutely blessed to have a chance to interreact with any of them! Not to mention you yourself as a mun are VERY COOL AND SWAGGY, it’s nice to share ideas and squeal equally about it all. Again, massive props, you deserve every drop of it.

@unboundpower​ - THE GREAT AND POWERFUL USER OF ACTUALLY VERY WELL WRITTEN FUSION FRIENDS, THANK GOD. Seriously Nebula, before you really made yourself prominent here was when there was some... Not so great Gogeta / Vegito / Four blogs kicking around and I can’t say it was terribly interesting. You have every right to gatekeep what you’ve built for yourself and your handsome boys, because you’ve fleshed them out so well that I don’t think many can match your energy. Give yourself credit where it’s due, you’re running characters that are a little more challenging to write and you do it so naturally. The complexities of being themselves, owning up to their own love lives as individuals, the break away from just being ‘fusions’ of Goku and Vegeta and BECOMING a new soul altogether. Yes, despite how much of an ass Vegeta had been in the past, and how much he can be after his development, Trunks really respects his dad far too much to talk bad about him. Admittedly, he will acknowledge Vegeta’s flaws, and admit there were times he was very frustrated with how the man acts, but he’ll still try to say that his dad is not as bad as he seems. So if shit talking the gremlin man is something you want to do as a group activity, maybe look somewhere else.

         Often enough, from what he had gathered. He almost pitied the violet-haired Earthling for all the grief she had been put through for her supposed interest in him, if there wasn’t but a touch of vindictive, malignant glee upon seeing her emotional distress as her companions made their accusations. His obsidian lips curved into a devious smirk, half of his alabaster brow lifting upwards as he brought a hand under his chin in faux pondering.

          “Perhaps there is something there, after all,” the Arcosian admitted slyly, a low chuckle rumbling from his throat. “It is quite possible that my deep loathing of her defiance might have beget an admiration for her as well. Certainly, I do feel the conflict between enacting my vengeance or observing her from afar…”

         Though he could very well have it both ways; she clearly despised the rumors about the two of them, while Cooler could not find it in himself to feel any sort of disgust for them. He wasn’t exactly deceptive in his previous statement, either. Lila did catch his genuine interest, for better or for worse. However, that did not mean he was willing to let bygones be bygones. He did want her to suffer for his earlier humiliation…

         But then, who said it had to be by his own hands? Her faithful friends were doing his bidding just fine, as far as he was concerned. Let the flames continued to be fanned. Eventually, she would burn out from it all.

         “I will consider what steps I wish to take with her in my own time. She might pretend that there is nothing there, but I’ve seen how she looks at me,” he mused, before shooting the warrior another sly look. “Do take care, Gerudo. Your words have been quite encouraging... I may be tempted to just snatch her up one of these day.”

Fruity headcanon prompts! // accepting.

🍉  : which of the four seasons suits my muse best, and why?

I'm gonna go with this question being more in the symbolic sense-

I'd say Spring. It comes after Winter - a period of relative stillness and intense cold. Death is somewhat associated with it, because of how countless plant species are wilted and how many animals either hibernate or have to bear with the freezing temperatures and decrease of available food. It does depend on where you live in the world and whatever you have to your advantage, but generally, Winter can be a difficult time to live through.

It pairs in a figurative sense with Gine's old life, where she struggled to keep herself going and was surrounded by death on a constant basis. How tired and numb she felt from it all.

Spring however, is the near opposite of it. With it comes life - plants growing again, animals waking up and some of those who survived Winter eventually giving birth to new offspring down the line. The season itself possesses the message of rebirth, growth, and gives off a sense of hope, where the potential for things to get better exists.

Whether she's completely aware of it or not, Gine is free from the iron grip of both the Saiyan army and the Frieza Force. She has the opportunity for a different life at her fingertips, being "reborn" in a way where she can become a new person and grow without the pressure she's borne for the majority of her life stifling her. She finally has the chance to live in peace, and help protect life versus taking it away. Gine also has the chance to be reunited with her child (children assuming Raditz is alive) and try to be the mother she’s wanted to be to them, which is the biggest goal that's keeping her going at the moment.

With all these tidbits in mind, I think Spring fits her pretty well.
