Atsumu and Oikawa being sick

Miya Atsumu

You are childhood friends with the Miya. It was Friday and you are supposed to have lunch together with the Miya twins.

While waiting for the twins at your usual spot, you received a message from Osamu saying that he can't have lunch with you since there'll be an emergency meeting with the team. He was sorry tho.

"Shithead can't come. He's unbelievably sick. " He added at the end of his text.

So you ate lunch alone and decided to visit him after school since you're a good childhood friend and you like him a lot eventhough he's big jerk.

"Why're ya here? " He asked. He's wearing a mask and he's on full thick clothes and jacket hugging his body.

You pushed the door on the twin's room and saw tissue all around his bed. You looked at him in disgust.

"You sure you're sick? " You joked.

Though he knows what you're thinking he managed to give you a smirk -"Well-" but he's not able to finish what he's about to say caus he coughed.

"It's not your time to tease, Tsumu. Go lie in bed now. " You said pushing him.

As he lied down you cleaned his bed and started to roll your sleeves up. You saw him stared at you.

"What? Do you need something? "

"Is it cuz I'm sick or somethin' that ya look uglier, " he chuckled. You throw him the tissue you just picked up as you glared.

He really gets into your nerves.

"Ser'sly. Y ya here? " He again asked in-between his coughs.

"Have to take care of an asshat, " you hummed neatly arranging the books scattered on his floor.

"Oh, I bought plum jelly and lemon with honey drink for you. I mean you always wanted something sour when you're sick but I figured that honey would help you get better. " You said and pointed at the paperbag near him, not giving him a glance as you're busy cleaning his porn magazines.

"Y/N? " You heard him muffled at his blanket

"Where's the riceball? " You nearly scoffed at his twin's remark to Samu.

"Practice. "

Warmth spread to your body. Two long arms wrapping at your hips and something soft brushing against your your nape. You recognized it was Tsumo's hair. He's hugging you from behind.

"M'cold, " his voice almost in a whisper. You blushed when he tightened the hug.

"T-then w-wrap yourself with a b-blanket." Pink hue slowly appeared on your cheeks.

You knew that this would happen. Being their friend since your childhood, you knew how things work to the both of them. Whenever Atsumo gets sick, his teasing lessens and at some point he's somewhat becomes... soft, which you liked.

"Body warmth's better, " he then again coughed. Pulling you closer to him, you can't help but to swallow the lump forming your throat.

"I... I c-can't work with you doing this to me. "

"Mhm. " You sighed at his response.

"Bed, " he whispered.

"I get it. But please eat the food I brought first. " Defeated, you did your best to avoid his gaze.

The two of you ended up at his bed. Him, hugging you while you tried to ignore your racing heartbeat. But as Osamu sets his feet on their room, he smacks his twin with a pillow saying things like he's a perv.

Oikawa Tōru

Being the class representive sure is hard. It means you get to do what the Class President can't for the class. This time, you have to take the notebooks to Oikawa since he's absent.

"Is Oikawa-san here? " You asked Iwa since he's the first one to notice your presence upon arriving the gym.

"Y/N? Ah no. Shittykawa's on the verge of dying. " Confuse is written all over your face. What the heck does he even mean?

"It means the Captain's sick, YL/N, " Hanamaki answered in the background.

You once looked at the gym and they're busy practicing. You sighed thinking that it'd be totally great if Iwa would deliver the notes to Oikawa's house since you're not really close with him.

Now, your (height) is standing infront of his door and knocking. Few minutes after, he opened the door and his heavy breathing startled you. His face is red and his eyes almost tearing up. He still managed to give you a flirty smile.

"I'm the--"

"Yes, yes. What's the Class Rep. doing here? " He cuts you off.

You showed him the notes and he understood it immediately. You gave it to him and as you felt his fingertips brush your hand, you grab it.

"You're burning! " He's more surprised than you.

"Shitereshimasu, " you mind your manners before entering and asked where his parents were.

"W-work. "

"Where's your room? " You asked still looking around.

"What? "

"Oikawa-san, where's your room?! "

Startled, he pointed to the room at the end of the hallway and you rushed there opening it wide and telling him to lie on the bed. He was puzzled but agreed to do so. He watches you leave his room.

Soon after you came with a bowl of cold water and a towel.

"Sorry, I borrowed your kitchen without permission, " your e/c concernedly glance at him as you started to dip the towel on the water.

"I... No. I-it's fine, " he muttered under his breath.

You carefully placed the wet towel on the top of his forehead and started to rummage at your bag.

Thankfully, you brought medicine (in case you get sick). You placed it on his bedside table and saw the empty glass. You figured you should replace it and you did.

"Uhm. Thanks? " Oikawa said.

"Oh shit. " You realised what you have been doing this while time. Embarassed, you apologize to him.

This is really something interesting to him.

"I said it's fine already. And thank you for getting me the notes, " he chuckled.

You looked down and stand up.

"I h-hope you get w-well. " The tone of your voice was hasty. You bowed and rushed to the front door and slammed it.

"I'm crazy! I'm doomed! " You whispered angrily to yourself.

A few days later and Oikawa was hyped up to see you. He greeted you and smiled widely upon entering the room.

"Goodmorning, Y/N!" Some of your classmates looked at you in disbelief. Oh shit, no.

"You're annoying, flattykawa! " Is what Iwaizume said.

so we're looking at a null suit situation here, cool, cool

this raises so many questions though, like... could they visit other planes that got fucked over by the hunger? like the animal kingdom? taz knights? legato? would those planes have heard the story and song broadcast since they were inside the hunger at the time, or no? are they still super fucked up or are they just plugging along like they would have been otherwise? because the set up for this show implies time has passed in their home planar system after the hunger disappeared and jeffandrew put everything back in order, and that lup somehow knows that this has happened in their absence... has she used the belt before, and that’s how she knows? are the planes where they escaped with the light (fungsten, the beach, tessaralia, etc.) accessible too, or did they just get left behind in the multiverse after the hunger passed over them? i'm assuming lucas made the belts (or probably a combo of lucas and barry? planar studies nerd buddies), so how do they work? magic? bonds? what would happen if they broke mid-use? would they be stuck in their old plane with no way to get back? this is such a weird but good setup and it makes for a shit ton of fic possibilities

i have no idea what that means but it sounds bad
