"Mark...ie?"

The name is foreign on your tongue. There's an unfamiliarity in the lilt at the end of his name, but it slips out so easily from your mouth. Neither of you expected such a change in affection, but the rosiness of your ears and slight haze of your eyes suggests that it was the contents within the beer cans scattered on the coffee table which gave rise to your outspokenness.

Seated on the other side of the table, Mark has no idea how to receive the new nickname. He can't tell if he likes it or not. His members have called him variations of his name, with most of them being for laughs as he would begrudgingly respond to shouts of "Milk!" across the dorm. But never something like this, something so...endearing?

"Markie."

Okay, he might like the nickname. Something jolts inside him and sends electricity up his spine as the movement of your head changes from a tilt of uncertainty to a nod of affirmation with each verbalisation.

"Markie!"

Actually, he more than likes it. Especially when you're calling him with such a shine in your eyes.

"You're blushing Mark."

His eyes widen at your comment, a hand lifting up to check the heat of his cheek before reaching behind to scratch the back of his neck upon realisation of his blush. When did his face become so hot? Surely it was because of the drinks, right? Looking at the number of cans in front of him, the ability to count them with one hand only deepened the pink in Mark's cheeks.

With a clearing of his throat, the blue-haired boy mumbles a small 'shut-up' in weak defence against your scrutiny and chooses to cast his gaze towards literally anywhere in the living room except on your face.

"Is it okay if I call you that? I mean, I think I quite like it."

Oh, Mark knows you like it. Even when avoiding your gaze, he can see the upturn of your soft-looking lips as you silently mouth the syllables of the nickname with the assumption that he wasn't watching.

Yeah, I like it. I like it a lot. It makes me feel all fuzzy inside, and I really like how you enjoy saying it so much. If it makes you so happy, it's more than okay for you to call me that.

Is what ran through his head at 120 kilometres per hour, loud and clear. However, there seemed to be a large disconnect between his brain and his mouth, because all Mark could get out was:

"Y-yeah. I-it's cool."

Cool? What on earth? Mark internally winced at his final choice of words. Why was he acting like you two haven't been dating for more than half a year, and that you weren't already the utter love of his life? He felt like he was back to square one in his comfort level with you, defaulting to a somewhat awkward and very platonic sentiment by treating you as a fellow 'bro'.

Judging by his blank expression and the slight clenching of his fists after those words left his mouth, you could tell that he was beating himself up for responding so callously. Normally, you'd offer words to soothe his self-deprecation and assure him that you can understand the intent behind his words. But tonight, the liquid courage continued to linger and work hard in your system to inhibit your shyness.

"Aren't you a rapper? You know, the Mr Absolutely Fully Capable?"

Mark opens his mouth, then closes it before slowly opening it again.

"...Yes."

There's silence.

Then, the room fills with laughter after your teasing and the tension that sat between you two breaks. There's a loud whine that is entangled within Mark's laugh as his elbows come to rest on the coffee table, and his hands cover his reddening face. Catching sight of the smile that's spread across his cheeks, your nose crinkles more in satisfaction at bringing your very laughy boyfriend back.

Agitated hands repeatedly run through his icy blue hair while the laughs morph into embarrassed mumblings about "never bragging about himself in a rap ever again" leaving his mouth. The shift in mood hurts your heart and your eyebrows knit together in concern.

Alas, the new nickname continues to live up to its power as your final verbalisation for the night reaches Mark's ears with an audible frown, the soft tone running straight through him and stilling his actions. His sweaty hands drop into his lap in defeat along with the hang of his head. Concurrently, from his lips, a light scoff is let out.

It might be too late, but gosh, he desperately wishes that you'll never know the full effect that single word has on him.

Poppy Splits From Titanic Sinclair

Poppy, the artful and creepy experiential YouTuber turned musician has publicly split from her director, creative partner, and alleged boyfriend Titanic Sinclair. Poppy rose to mainstream internet fame around 2016 when PewDiePie reacted to her videos in a video of his own.

The task of explaining what exactly Poppy is a grueling one. She’s a character whose style was very innocent, kawaii and bubblegum pop until this year. Her videos feel hypnotic with their insanity.

Anything can happen, from 10 minutes of her literally only saying, “I’m Poppy” to her interviewing her best friend, a mannequin. Viewers can begin to see that the videos have a creepy under layer to them. Things seem off; numbers keep appearing, things glitch, and Poppy begins to sound like she’s crying for help. That’s where the fun of being a fan of Poppy begins, being able to theorize what’s happening, it’s exhilarating.

However, this is real. Moriah Rose Pereira, the actress who plays Poppy, is claiming Titanic Sinclair (Legal name: Corey Michael Mixter) has abused her, in a public statement made on Dec. 28, Poppy wrote, “I was a person who suffered similar wrongdoings as one of his former partners brought to light,” which, many have taken to be a direct comment on the 2018 Mars Argo lawsuit. Mars was Titanic’s former creative partner and girlfriend who sued him based on abuse and sued Poppy for copyright infringement.

The news was sparked by Poppy unfollowing Titanic on all social media a few days before the public statement, as fans became quick to run wild with conspiracy theories. Titanic later did the same, unfollowing and deleting every photo of Poppy.

Then on Dec. 7, 2019, Poppy removed the directing credits for Sinclair from many of her YouTube videos. Shortly after the deleting, rapper Ghostemane revealed that he and Poppy had begun a romantic relationship.

I grappled with the thought of making this statement but I decided to set the record straight.

As some of you know, my former creative partner and I have parted ways. This was a long time coming but this is a person whom I defended in the past because I thought he was misunderstood. The reason I am making this statement is due to the amount of misinformation online about me and my character and I owe it to myself to clear a few things up.

I met this person at a young age and things were seemingly good for a while until echoes from his past were too loud to ignore.

I was never ‘an accomplice’ to this person’s past actions like some believe – I was a person who suffered similar wrong doings as one of his former partners brought to light.

This person glamorizes suicide and has used it many times in the past to manipulate me. And the last time I finally had enough.

As a grab for attention he messaged fans before he tried hanging himself while I was on tour with an item that belonged to me. These are tactics that he used for years. This person lives in an illusion that he is a gift to this Earth. He weaved himself into a storyline, wanting the public to believe he was a puppeteer, which is so far from the truth.

In light of recent events brought to my attention, he is already quick to jump in and use my former friends as his next experiment, repeating manipulative patterns he has for years.

I was trapped in a mess that I needed to dig my way out of – and like I always do, I figured out a way to handle it. I encourage those of you who feel trapped in a situation, whether it be similar to my previous one or not – to take the first step because that is the most difficult one.

This is not a request for sympathy and I am not a weak victim, but this is me setting the record straight.

I am happier than I have ever been and I am excited to move forward.”

Fans cheered on Poppy, starting the hashtag #TitanicSinclairIsOverParty in which they spread the word of her statement, showed support and admiration for her, and shared memes making fun of the alleged abuser.

People have criticized Poppy for victim-blaming Mars back in 2018, others have speculated that Titanic might have forced her to. Poppy’s tour is still on schedule and publically she seems to be fine.

so after a while I finally have a good idea on my au what’s the au I’m talking about your asking yourself well it’s basically fnf but cici and bf are dating now I know that sounds basic but I add more into and make it more of a storyline

so let’s get something out of the way in the au bf goes by Keith (his fanon name) and girlfriend goes by cherry (her fanon nickname) Keith and cherry are like close friends Keith is a little mutual with pico (because of the whole ex thing)

now all of the weeks except for week two will still be the same except they will start different with like cutscenes

week 1: the young rapper vs the ex rockstar

autographs are getting sign at the local stage building by daddy dearest (the stage level in week one) and cici and Keith was in line because cici wanted to meet him (cici has a interest in singing and singers) so as the two are waiting in line Keith would say “what’s so great about his music? I’m pretty sure I can sing way better then grandpa up there” everyone got quiet as they stare at him and then daddy dearest says “so you think you can sing better then me kid” and that’s how week one happeneds the first two songs are still the same except for dad battle that’s change to something else

week three: the hitman (sorta)

Keith couldn't help how his legs shook underneath him, threatening to collapse any moment as Senpai stares him down- Lucy had long since gotten down off the stereo- the battle was over but he was...furious. It wasn't fair to Senpai. It wasn't fair that what he wanted was ripped away all because one bluehair snotnosed kid wanted, the prize he had worked so hard to achieve.

Her love, her affection, she was supposed to be his.

In his rage he stormed forward, glitching and freaking out as he rapidly approached Keith in the blink of eye, now holding him up by his shirt collar and neck.

Keith wheezed and struggled to breath through his panic and flailing, the small constricting opening making it near impossible- and this wasn't even Senpai trying to crush him by his neck. The tall man seethed up at the smaller in his hands, ignoring how Keith's little legs kicked out at him, how his hands scratched and scrabbled for purchase in Sennpai's hold. The purple and warped world around them distorted and crumbled- leaving them on a floating Pixalated island- with Senpai holding the boy over the void-like- edge.

"ITS NOT FAIR-! SHE'S MINE! I'm perfect in everyway! Every code! Every pixel was built to perfection and your RUINING IT! YOU! A pathetic ugly worm! So I'm going to send you where you belong, down below into the trash- huh..."

His anger blinked for a moment as he felt droplets fall on his exposed hands. Looking away from the void back to bf he notices the boy is crying. He almost scoffs or turns away in disgust from the other crying but he didn't have time...before the burn hit.

Senpai's hand sizzled and popped where the tears landed, and the pain, the pain shot through his body like a spark of fire. He screeched out in pain, flinging Keith's body behind him and sending it crashing into the stereo stand. Lucy, who had been yelling for Sen to stop without any luck gasped horrendously and ran over to her boyfriend while Sen stood there groaning over his hand.

"What the HELL was that?!"

He takes a threatening step forward, expecting the the little rapper to look up from where he was curled up and sobbing against the stereos. Lucy gave Sen a hard glare but said nothing, only increasing his anger from being burned by what only looked like tears.

"UGLY WORM! TELL ME!"

He screamed louder, and Keith flinched, finally looking up at him...only this time...his pupils were missing. Replaced with nothing but bright wide and tear filled white lights. Sen stopped in his tracks, freezing. They stared at eachother for a bit, waiting for somthing to happen, while Lucy tried to get Keith to breath and calm down.

"....you're an angel."

Sen murmurs, face flat as things clicked into place.

"You're and angel! YOU'RE AN ANGEL, HAHAH!"

He practically keeled over, laughing like a lunatic as Keith sobbed a little harder, flinched at the noise and turned more towards Lucy as she scanned him for injuries.

"You're not even human-! Your not even somthing that can date her normally-"

He claims it like its a big deal, like he's won the battle already- no. Like he's won the war. The second part sounds like he was directing towards Lucy more than Keith.

"Your nothing. You join their family and you will hurt everyone you have ever loved or cared about for the rest of your life. Your not ment to be together. So when she grows to worried....she can always crawl back to me and beg..."

He chuckles mainly to himself, finding the battle no longer worth his time- afterall he had won. Keith could only openly cry more as the man taunted him-

but Lucy.

Lucy stared and stared...and then reached forward, cupping his cheeks with her hands. The sizzle of the holy water tears on demonic skin burn into the quiet air between them. Keith jumped in surprise as Lucy tried to wipe them away, to comfort him, and tried to pull away with frantic beeps of concern, only for her to pull him closer, pulling him into her chest and holding tightly.

"Listen Keith, c'mon, lok at me"

He stops struggling against her slowly, now only worriedly glancing up at her.

"I dont mind. Honest."

She gives him the softest and nicest smile she could, even as the steam framed her face, even as the pain switched to overloaded tingles, she just wanted to comfort him.

"...I'd do this all day cause...I burn for you."

Keith sniffles and finally, wraps his arm around his girlfriend, reciprocating the hug and comfort as best as possible despite his tears...

They burn for eachother...

So its okay to hold on a little longer.

La Toya often claims she feels strong presences in the Jacksons’ childhood home and frequently shares about the supernatural activity coming from MJ’s old room. Many visitors, staff members, and family members have heard tap dancing coming from the room, even when they didn’t know who it used to belong to.

It was in this room that Michael would tap dance for two hours every sunday.

Susan Boyle

Boyle often recounts that she lost several members of her closest family within the span of a few short years and felt abandoned by her family. But in a 2011 interview she claimed she sees her mother’s spirit around her house, believing it to be a reminder from beyond the grave that she is not alone.

As they drove off she ‘apologised’ to the spirits for disturbing the peace and took a couple of pictures of the area before they left. She saw clear demonic faces in the image. When she tried to send it to her manager as proof of the strange goings on, the picture couldn’t be sent.

This comedian’s old Manhattan apartment might be worth $28 million but it's far more famous for the supernatural entities within its walls than its price tag.

In one iconic episode of Celebrity Ghost Stories Rivers claims she even brought in a voodoo priestess to help a former resident, ‘Mr Spencer’, pass on.

Marilyn Manson

Just like Rivers, Marilyn Manson told his own paranormal experience on CGS. But his story had less spirits and more, you know, Satan.

Pressured by his peers into reading demonic incantations in a supposedly haunted basement, Manson claims he then heard demonic whispers around him asking if he believed in Satan.

Alyson Hannigan

Hannigan might be known for her Wiccan ways on the TV screen in Buffy The Vampire Slayer, but her encounters with the paranormal aren’t just captured by our favourite streaming services.

Back in 2003 Hannigan claimed she lived in a haunted house - but she believes the spirit is friendly.  

“My friend saw him first one night. She said, 'I don't mean to alarm you, but I just saw a man follow us out of the house.' “

"Later that night I saw this silhouette of a man standing in the bathroom doorway. I was like, 'Sweetie, what are you doing?' I thought it was [fiance] Alexis [Denisof]. But then I looked and Alexis was asleep next to me.”

Nicolas Cage

Yes, the most memed actor in Hollywood has faced a series of paranormal experiences, too. In 2007 Cage purchased one of the most haunted houses in America in a bid to get inspired to write the latest horror novel.

He bought the LaLaurie Mansion in New Orleans, a house belonging to one of the 19th century’s most infamous serial killers.

Many believe the slaves tortured by Delphine LaLaurie still haunt the mansion. Perhaps Cage heard the wails and moans of her victims, or maybe he felt the demonic presence rumoured to have taken part in a murder of a tenant in 1894?

Demi Lovato

Lovato often makes mention of her beliefs in the paranormal - especially when it comes to her haunted house in Texas. She claims a young girl named Emily haunts her home in the South, and has even mentioned that she was a childhood ‘friend’ when she was growing up.

But this tale has to be the most terrifying:

"One of my friends, Tucker, came over one time and he asked, 'So your house is haunted?' I said, 'Yeah, just watch. Something will happen. Something always happens.' We started to watch a movie when all of a sudden a laptop in my kitchen started to play a movie also. It was a black screen before, so it was a question of who turned it on and hit play.

And after that Tucker texted a friend saying, 'I think this house is haunted, a movie just turned on by itself,' and there was a 'glitch' in his phone that kept texting him back the word 'definitely' over and over again. That happened about 30 times."

Peter Jackson

Jackson might be known for putting mystical and magical creatures on the big screen, but he’s seen similar things in real life, too.

"One night I woke up and there was a figure in the room. She was really scary—her face was like a silent scream. She glided across the room and disappeared into the wall." He told Fran in the morning and she said, "'Was it the woman with a screaming face?’ We had never spoken about it. 

She had seen the same ghost two years earlier. So I do believe in some energy, a spirit or a soul..."

From one famous rapper to another:

Lamar told Home Grown Radio that he had a dream about Tupac Shakur - a dream he believed conveyed a message from beyond. In the dream Tupac told him “Keep doing what you doing, don’t let my music die.”

Keanu Reeves

He’s one of the internet’s favourite celebrities - but what isn’t so famous about this Matrix star is his paranormal experience from when he was living in NYC.

"I'm probably like six, seven years old, we'd come from Australia. Renata, [our] nanny, in the bedroom, my sister is asleep, she's sitting over there, I'm hanging out. There was a doorway and all of a sudden this jacket comes waving through the doorway, this empty jacket — there's no body, there's no legs, it's just there. And then it disappears..."

The nanny saw the exact same thing.

Adele

Ghost nuns are not only on-trend but also terrify-ing. Adele can testify to that. In 2012 the singer moved into a plush Sussex mansion which used to be a convent.

A couple creepy noises later and she hired around-the-clock security to protect her against the paranormal activity. Who knows what she might’ve seen in her new $6 million home?

Matthew McConaughey

McConaughey claims his Hollywood mansion was haunted by an unhappy female spirit by the name of Madame Blu.

"I was not even under the influence and she was there. She wasn't that happy, it didn't seem like she was going to be much fun to hang around or have in my house, so I went ahead and stood my ground. I opened the door and said 'You can move around all you want but I'm not going anywhere.'"

"For weeks everyone that came to the house said the same thing: 'There's someone down in that hall, there's somebody down in that hall.'"

Ryan Gosling

Most of the celebs that made this list whip out their charming ‘lil spooky story to pique interest in their latest career venture. Gosling’s story, however, is actually pretty f*cking scary.

One day, in his childhood home, he saw a ghost of a young boy.

"He just sat. And I knew from a very young age that he was a ghost, too. He scared me. I told my mother, but she couldn't see him. Nobody could. And I learned to live with that. I had to…

Linney is one of Hollywood’s most cherished actresses - and even on the stage she has witnessed something from the other side.

She became a believer in the paranormal after working in the Belasco Theater on Broadway.

"I had forgotten this, and I was doing a play with Jane Alexander, and I turned to Jane Alexander, and I looked up to the upper balcony—there are two balconies there—and the upper balcony you can only get in from the outside, and those doors were locked; and I looked up, and there was a woman standing in the front row looking over with a blue dress and blonde hair.

Another famous ghost that haunts a famous face features on this list. But this time the paranormal activity described by Mullally is certainly the most tragic.

She claims she lived in a house haunted by the spirit of Nicole Brown Simpson who was murdered in 1994. She believes that only when her husband watched the American Crime Story series about her death did the strange occurrences (most of which were odd and unexplained sounds) settle.

Only last year our very own Bella Swan opened up not just about her own experiences with ghosts, but her own spiritual connection with other people.

“If I’m in a weird, small town, making a movie, and I’m in a strange apartment, I will literally be like, ‘No, please, I cannot deal. Carrie Fisher lived an extraordinary life. She was one of the few a-listers to openly discuss her struggles with mental health and drug use before it became so accepted in mainstream society. Unfortunately, these topics would haunt her in a rather more supernatural manner, too.

Following the overdose of a friend sleeping next to her in her mansion, Fisher claimed she would often feel their presence around her.

"Lights would go on and off, and I had this toy machine, that when you touched it would say, 'F*ck you! Eat sh*t! You’re an asshole!' And it would go off in the night, by itself, in my closet.”

She later hired an exorcist to cleanse the house of the spirit.

Halle Berry

Whilst filming Introducing Dorothy Dandridge, Berry would experience intense paranormal activity she believed was down to her dress.

Just like Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga has had her own dealings with the spirit of an icon. But instead of rap legend Tupac, she got the late fashion designer Alexander McQueen.

Kanye West and Kid Cudi Debut Joint Album 'Kids See Ghosts' at Ranch-Themed Listening Party

Kanye West is all about location. 

A week after hosting a star-studded listening session for his Ye album in Jackson Hole,Wyoming, the 41-year-old rapper held another ranch-themed event on Thursday, to debut his joint project with Kid Cudi, Kids See Ghosts.

Kim Kardashian West was at the Chicago rapper’s side as he premiered the album during a BBQ soiree in Santa Clarita, California, hours before his 41st birthday. The ranch-style setting appeared to recreate the home-on-the-range atmosphere in Wyoming, complete with freshly grilled burgers, fries, macaroni and cheese, greens and multiple open bars featuring Hennessey cocktails. 

New couple Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson, who snuggled and held hands throughout the night, were among the famous faces mingling in the crowd, along with Kourtney Kardashian, Kris Jenner and her boyfriend, Corey Gamble, Courtney Love, Lena Waithe, RZA, Travis Barker, Damon Dash and YG.

In true West fashion, the listening session was shrouded in mystery up until the day of the event. Most guests were instructed to meet over an hour away at assigned parking lots in Hollywood, California, where they were shuttled to the top-secret location on large, white buses. Those who arrived early got first dibs on KSG merchandise, which included long-sleeved shirts, hoodies, blankets and jackets.

But there were some notable glitches, the biggest being a technical issue with the WAV application (which West previously used to debut Ye) delaying the livestream from the listening session by nearly three hours. At around 10:45 p.m., music began blaring through loudspeakers as pink smoke blanketed the air, giving off a ghostly vibe that was a likely homage to the KSG album’s cover art, created by Takashi Murakami.

West and Cudi finally emerged from an abandoned structure flanked by a small crowd and camera crew while a bonfire ranged in front of them. A larger group of invited guests stood down below, making it particularly challenging to catch a clear glimpse of the rap duo.

Despite small missteps during the event, West appeared excited to play the long-delayed collaboration, and Cudi seemed equally giddy. The seven-track album, which includes titles like “4th Dimensions, “Feel the Love,” “Reborn” and a Kurt Cobain sample on “Cudi Montage,” features guest appearances from West’s G.O.O.D. Music artist, Pusha T, Yasiin Bey (formerly known as Mos Def), Ty Dolla $ign and Louis Prima.

Kids See Ghosts is the latest in a slew of new releases from West’s G.O.O.D. Music imprint. In addition to dropping his solo album on June 1, West also executive produced Pusha T’s Daytona LP, and forthcoming releases from Nas and Teyana Taylor, both of which are due out this month.
