How the therapists react to your "worst" symptoms - Headcanons

SFW || TW: mentions of self harm, mention of suicidal ideation, therapy sessions, very brief mention of (unlabeled) disordered eating, mention of psychosis & violent thoughts.

A/N: this was written by someone who has been in therapy for many years and has personal experience with these types of symptoms. this is not meant to romanticize any mental illness or symptoms of it. this is purely self indulgent fluff. just because your experience might be different doesn't make these experiences any less valid. if you don't like this simply do not read it, block if you must, and move on.

Jonathan Crane (Scarecrow)

He is the most objective and detached of the lot. Therefore he never seems to have much of a reaction no matter what you do or say to him. He really has seen it all before. This does help you feel less anxious as time goes on, knowing he won't ever judge you or ascribe any kind of morality to your actions.

"If it causes you distress or harm, then we should work towards eliminating it altogether." is his typical response to your concerns about your own coping mechanisms. "You do not owe anyone kindness, just remember to restrain yourself from causing harm whenever possible."

He is the only one to have no discernible reaction to your self harm scars/burns. One day, he noticed an especially fresh one and offered to disinfect and bandage the wound for you. He always gives you space to bring things up at your own pace, when you feel comfortable doing so.

"Not all of us have the capacity to be so gentle, and that's alright." he says about your outbursts. "I'm not known for being the warmest, but that doesn't make me any less skilled at my work, or any less worthy of respect. If you do not hold my lack of socially acceptable agreeableness against me, then you should not hold it against yourself."

Bonus: when you finally have the courage to mention the substance usage he remains as cool and detached as ever. "I am glad you were honest with me so we can monitor for any interactions with your medications. Know that I won't judge you for moderate usage, after all, do we not professionally refer to medications as drugs? It isn't ideal, but it is a way of self medicating. All I ask is that you be fully honest with me about your usage so I can better take care of you."

Hannibal Lecter (NBC)

He is surprisingly gentle and very soft spoken, although you were intimidated by him at first and the opulence of his office. He usually greets you with a warm smile and asks how your week went and if you've eaten yet today. He teaches you to enjoy food again, describing it as an art, and asking you to be mindful and present when enjoying a meal. Listen to your body, what it tells you about the ingredients, the quality of the meal, and the hands that made it.

He always asks you what you want to do, making sure to actively include you in your own treatment plan. He thoroughly explains treatment options, medications and their possible side effects, and has you weigh your options. This allows you to really analyze your own reactions and act accordingly when you are alone.

"Now, you do understand I am required to recommend inpatient treatment if you are feeling actively suicidal." he says, when you come in on an extra bad day. "However, I want to trust you and give you the option of what to do from here. If you think it will do you more harm than good, let me know, but you have to be honest."

One day you get the courage to ask why there is a first aid kit on his desk, though you already assume why. He simply looks at you and asks "Do you need it today?" before gently tending to your recent self harm wounds. He never calls you out for it, but he does periodically ask you upfront if you've been engaging in self injurious behaviors. If you respond yes, he asks to tend to your wounds, and if you say no, he celebrates with you. "Good. I'm proud of you for holding yourself back."

Bonus: when you land in the hospital, Hannibal makes sure to go visit you while your therapy slot is on hold. He never calls attention to the circumstances that lead you here, and focuses solely on your recovery and how he can't wait to have you back in the office soon.

Harleen Quinzel (Harley Quinn)

It doesn't take long for her to shed her professional demeanor. She makes you feel like you're talking to a close friend, yet manages to never fully lose the "doctor" in her. She offers you fidget toys as a way to ease the tension of talking about such vulnerable and heavy subjects.

She makes everything into a little game or a challenge to motivate you changing habits. Every time you manage to avoid indulging in negative coping mechanisms, she rewards you with a little heart shaped chocolate at the end of the session. On bad days, she simply encourages you to try again and she gifts you a cute bandaid at the end of the session to signify your healing from a bad day (sometimes, the bandaids come in handy for self harm wounds).

"Being childish can be a good thing!" she tells you. "Its important to have a little whimsy in your life. Just because you grew up doesn't mean you have to... ya know, grow up." She encourages you to try and add a little joy to your daily life. You start taking fuzzy tipped pens to work and keeping plushies at home for comfort. Surprisingly, it does help.

Every now and again she asks for your advice or assistance on minor things, such as which dress she should wear for a date, or what show to watch next. Sure, you are technically paying for her time, but this fact alone doesn't entirely relieve you of the feeling that you are burdensome. Whenever that feeling creeps back up, she reminds you of all the times you helped her make decisions until you admit your usefulness with a smile.

Bonus: "Hearing voices or other noises doesn't make you evil." is her reply when she learns of your psychotic symptoms. "Everyone is susceptible to experiencing psychosis. Hell, I've felt it when I was losing sleep in med school. It doesn't make you a bad person."

Hannibal Lecter (Silence of the Lambs)

You are intimidated by him at first, but his hypnotic voice grows on you. He always sounds so self assured, but never assertive. He has an almost paternal quality to him, making you feel simultaneously comfortable and protected.

He always listens to you intently, you never feel ignored by him. Hannibal is the only one that makes you feel seen and you tell him as much. "Oh everyone sees you my dear, you can be assured of that, but not everyone has the courage to acknowledge you. Keep this in mind for the next time you should feel the urge to do something drastic for attention."

You were worried you would eventually do something to turn him away, as you had to so many therapists before him. However, he simply scoffs at the idea that you could ever do anything that could possibly frighten him or upset him.

When you finally have the courage to tell him about the violent intrusive thoughts he remains as calm as ever. "In the past, we humans had to hunt to survive. We also had to protect ourselves and our kin. As time goes on, that propensity for violence remains, even if our survival is no longer dependent on it."

Bonus: You come clean to him about getting into a fight with someone, being entirely overtaken by rage and paranoia. You call yourself a monster and cry. "I have worked with serial killers, family annihilators, rapists the worst that the world has to offer. I know monsters. You are not one. You wanna know why?" You nod yes. "Because my dear, you have remorse and regret for your actions, they do not. Besides, you would not be sitting here with me if you did not want the anger to control you."

Pride at Arkham Asylum - Headcanons

𖤐 A/N: Happy pride to all! Please keep in mind these are just headcanons made from my opinions for FUN! Do not get mad if these do not align with your own takes on the characters. Additionally, some of the chosen gifs are my own fancasts for live action of the characters we haven't gotten yet. Once again, this is not meant to upset anyone. These are simply my opinions done entirely for LIGHTHEARTED FANDOM FUN.

Dr. Jonathan Crane (Scarecrow)

While he was staff he absolutely hated pride month on simple account of the excessive decorations & frivolous activities. Dr. Quinzel was his absolute nemesis as she was always the most enthusiastic member of Arkham's staff.

After he gets put into Arkham as Scarecrow he started to relish in the decorations & celebrations just to annoy his handlers. He makes a game out of everything & has started a tradition of repurposing Halloween decorations for pride month.

When Harley joins him as an inmate she encourages him to bring out his artsy side, & together the two begin making Pride Pumpkins. Even the staff have caught on & they hold a competition to see who can make the best Pride Pumpkin both in the break room & for the inmates (No carving allowed, painting only, for obvious reasons).

If asked about his pronouns & orientation he will usually say it's none of your business, but sometimes he will reply with "they/he/it" for The Scarecrow. No one really knows for sure, but 'aromantic? asexual? agender???' is written in his file on the margins, as it seems he has no interest in such activities (though rumors suggest otherwise). The staff regularly place lunchtime bets as to his sexuality (or lack thereof).

Dr. Harleen Quinzel (Harley Quinn)

When first arriving at Arkham as a member of staff, she insists upon decorations in the breakroom, & starts encouraging related activities for the patients such as a pride ball/dance, arts + crafts, & group therapy based around queer issues.

Once she returns as an inmate, she insists upon painting her own little bi pride flag every year & decorating her cell with whatever items she's allowed. Sometimes she will switch it up with a pan flag, & other times she keeps both up.

Her favorite activity is the pride ball that she herself started when she was still employed there. She usually chooses the music & theme along with Ivy & Selena (or both if all 3 of them are in at the same time).

The staff can never really keep up with who she's attending the dance with & they regularly place bets on that too. Sometimes it's Joker, sometimes its Poison Ivy, & one time she even dragged Bruce Wayne into it when he was around for a visit. No one could figure out for the life of them why the man agreed in the first place.

Dr. Pamela Lilian Isley (Poison Ivy)

Much like Scarecrow, Ivy at first wasn't very fond of the festivities on account of her introverted nature. Also like Scarecrow, she only began partaking in the celebration because of Harley.

She is oddly competitive in the annual Pride Pumpkin contest & has a concerning rivalry going with Scarecrow. If one of them wins best pumpkin for pride, then the other has to win best Halloween pumpkin out of pure spite.

Although she was denied the request to start a WLW knitting club (for obvious reasons) she is the only inmate granted permission to pin a large lesbian flag in her cell on the condition of good behavior. Outside of Arkham though, she does start that knitting club with the Birds of Prey + Gotham City Sirens.

"God is a Lesbian Woman: On The Divine Feminine, Mother Nature, & Climate Change" is a paper she managed to publish as a zine while at Arkham. From that point on, she receives a lot of fanmail from other climate activist queer women. The staff have no idea how she got that zine out there, but at least half of them are secretly subscribed to it. She makes great points.

Edward Nashton/Nygma (The Riddler)

His sexuality seems to be the most complicated riddle of them all, as he regularly seems to have a fluctuating crisis over his sexual orientation. He really takes to the group therapy sessions & is always the most talkative (and weepy).

When well behaved, he is given permission to enter the hospital kitchen to assist in baking cupcakes for the end of the month pride ball/dance. He loves decorating them with icing, but he will also hide a little plastic rainbow toy despite being told numerous times not to as it is a choking hazard. Whoever gets it has to help him decorate the cupcakes next year.

His favorite activity is being allowed to watch Drag Race in the rec room. While he was denied permission to conduct a drag competition in the asylum, he is given permission to host a vogueing "class" in the yard all month long (they watch VHS tapes on how to vogue and try to keep up, that's the class).

Despite only being allowed to use wax crayons, he likes to draw new riddler themed outfits for himself whenever he has the chance. Mostly after he finishes an episode of Drag Race. He's actually quite skilled at drawing. The staff often wonder if he makes his own costumes or if he gives the drawings to a tailor, but no one really wants to ask.

Selina Kyle (Catwoman)

Like Ivy & Crane, Selena is quite the reclusive introvert when first brought in. However, she will open up to her fellow rogues when they are also in attendance, but she retains her ever-present 'too cool' attitude.

Her favorite thing to do during pride month is her makeup. She will spend hours in solitude toying with eyeshadow to debut intricate pride themed looks despite the limitations (no brushes with long handles, no palettes just individual rounded eyeshadow pans, etc).

When not doing her own makeup, she's usually doing someone else's. She & Joker will oftentimes have these odd "spa days" where they do each other's nails &/or makeup, along with whatever skincare they are allowed to have (hardly any complex products due to various inmates being expert chemists. Cucumber peels only).

Despite Harley & Ivy making a lot of contributions to the playlist for the end of the month pride ball, Selena is always resident DJ. No one will admit it, because they're not as cool as her, but she has the best music taste of anyone. Even the staff will try to shazam whatever songs she plays at the ball to add to their own playlist.

Dr. Jervis Tetch (Mad Hatter)

When asked about pronouns Jervis will have two different responses depending on how well medicated he is at the time. If coherent, he will respond with "he/him/his". If in Wonderland, he will go on a rant about how fascinating xenopronouns are yet never directly answer the question. Sometimes he will blurt out "her pronouns are she/her!!!" in regards to Alice.

His favorite activity is joining Riddler in drawing potential costume ideas, although most times he draws anything at all while Ed works on a costume, bouncing ideas off out loud without waiting for Jervis' response. It's more of a parallel play kind of activity.

Much like his dear friend Jonathan Crane, no one can seem to really figure out a label for him. He doesn't seem to express any interest in courtship or intimacy, but salacious rumors exist. Is sex just a means to an end for him or is he simply being private about his romantic/sexual life? The only person that seems to know is Crane, & he enjoys keeping the mystery alive.

Thanks to him, tea is served alongside Riddler's cupcakes at the end of the month pride ball. He takes great pride in carefully selecting blends for the craft services table, mixing in both hot & iced tea to serve all tastes.

The Joker

Just like Crane & Jervis, Joker's gender + sexuality are a mystery, but in quite the opposite manner. He's unabashedly flamboyant & will flirt with anyone if bored enough. No one can ever tell if he means it or not.

Despite his vile reputation, he's quick to adapt to preferred pronouns & new names. He was the first to properly address Ed by his preferred name of Ed Nygma instead of Nashton, & lightheartedly joked that it was a transition & refers to Nashton as a deadname. Even villains have standards it seems.

If asked about his pronouns, Joker will reply "hehe/haha" to the point that people quickly stopped asking just to be spared the dad joke. However, staff have heard his fellow rogues use any & all pronouns under the sun to refer to the clown. It seems they all make a game out of keeping the staff guessing, & no matter what pronouns they use, Joker always responds without missing a beat.

One year in particular he was sent to solitary for weeks after somehow managing to smuggle in various dresses & makeup to indulge Riddler in his desire to host a drag contest. By the time staff noticed, the entire rec room had been transformed into a scene straight out of Paris is Burning. No one knows how he pulled that off, not even Harley.

Born in the City of Starlight, Velaris, Loren had a life of comfort with the Night Court. Her mother Lissa passed when Lor was still a youngling, and her daughter hardly remembered her. Her father Davos was in the Night’s army, fairly high in rank over centuries of service. He had always been a strict and forthright man, as well as imperious. His daughter had, admittedly, a rather rash streak in personality, and tended to be no stranger to picking fights with others from being easily provoked. But that initial lack of discipline didn’t carry for too long, for Davos had begun training her in actual techniques of combat, which was beneficial in her learning to control all of that pent up energy from her stellar temper. He didn’t wish for his court – nor his family – to be weak, a sentiment that Loren knew now had meant more than they had realized at the time. He never let up in the strictness, nailing it into her that she needed to be ready for tides to turn, for things to go awry at any moment too. Maybe that had been foreshadowing.

That, and Loren had wanted to please him anyway, to make him proud of her. They were not an affectionate family, that much was blaringly obvious. The whole hadn’t received enough hugs as a child sentiment had unfortunately been true for Lor. Nonetheless, the daughter prevailed even as his instruction hadn’t been easy. It had been effective, though. She even gained more comprehension of strategies and court states of affairs too. With skills and knowledge of that caliber in her arsenal, as well as having formed bonds with others of the Night Court as the many decades went by, Loren eventually became Third in Command. Roles in the High Lord’s inner circle were trusted positions and she took hers seriously, occasional hot-headedness aside. And for maybe the first time, they had noted some look of actual pride in their father’s eyes toward her, even if only for a moment. Though she had blissfully ignored the matching calculation in his expression too, like gears in his head were turning for mysterious reasons.

And then news about the Spring Court hit the rest of Prythian some years later, and the land fell into chaos. Loren’s father finally dropped the mask. A traitor, one that even attempted to coerce his daughter into trying to convince the current High Lord of Night to join the other side too. Lor was both baffled and livid, among other emotions, almost killing him where he stood. It could’ve been more logical to arrest him, sure, but he was able to flee regardless. It turned out, that his ambitions and opinions had silently aligned with the Spring Lord’s and Hybern’s for a very long time. It disgusted the daughter he left behind. It disgusted plenty of others in the north too. Loren was always aware of the glances during that time, the wariness of those silently questioning whether or not her loyalties had shifted too. They hadn’t, though. Lor was loyal to the Night Court and to Prythian.

If anything, her father’s deception had made her even more loyal, but also angrier. At least that could be used on the battlefield. As war found its claws in the fae lands, Loren and so many others fought the best they could. However, they all lacked the upper hand and eventually got trapped Under the Mountain. Nothing but dwindling hope, heavy sadness, and everlasting anger seeming to linger between the souls there. The latter was harbored the most by the Night’s third, who had definitely put up a fight during their time there. Uncaged tempers and blaring threats that had become routine toward the enemies keeping them in that dark hopelessness of a place. The rage that filled her maybe could’ve been enough to break their confinements of that mountain if it had been another life. Maybe.

While the containment didn’t last forever, Loren never found it in herself to grant any ounce of forgiveness to the queen who sacrificed herself. That pathetic fool had been a part of the destruction of their home and people, ruins left in the wake. So no, the blonde spared no kindness even if the queen’s choice allowed the courts to be free from the mountain. And yet, Prythian itself was still not free. Not free of the cruel High King. Loren wanted to rip him a part. Same for her treasonous father whom she didn’t even know was alive or not. Not that he wasn’t already dead to her anyway. ━ tl;dr

Loren fought in the war alongside others before they were trapped Under the Mountain, and she had definitely put up a fight there, full of rage over everything

Never did they forgive that mortal queen even if the queen had sacrificed herself, nor will they forgive Hybern or their father, whose current status is unknown to Loren

I feel like we’re always talking about missed opportunities and ‘hidden knowledge’ (i.e. Dylan’s necklace extended discourse). So, in a similar vein: what do you think the counselor’s middle names would be?

I wanted to ask everyone this and kept forgetting! You’re going to wish you asked someone more creative than me because I have an incredibly lazy answer. A few months back I read a fic that gave Dylan a middle name I violently hated (bad personal associations) and I was like, okay, this sucks, but what would I give him instead? And then I thought, dumb idea, what if they all had their actors’ names as middle names? I figured no way, they couldn’t actually sound good, right? Too easy. But… it actually kinda works? For most of them anyway, I did make some tweaks.

I actually think Dylan’s middle name is Dylan. I think his first name is Miles and he goes by his middle. Flows better that way to my ear.

Ariel is too similar to Abigail, it’s too singsongy, but Winter is actually Ariel’s middle name. Abigail Winter Blyg didn’t really speak to me either but what if we shifted the season and gave her Autumn instead?

Back then, the internet was just a baby and there was no fanfiction.net or LJ or AO3. X-files fanfics were housed on gossamer and when I found it, it was like this awakening for me that other people did this too. That’s also how I discovered smut. Good times lol.

The Taco Bell thing … go on….

OH MY GOODNESS I KEEP FORGETTING TO SIT DOWN AND ANSWER THIS AAAA

Okay so context I used to work at Taco Bell for about a year and a third, and my friend and I would make jokes about what kind of customer the characters of our shared interests would be like!

This wouldn't usually be about a specific order, since sometimes it's hard to say what Taco Bell meal a character would have. Instead, I base them off the types of customers I've interacted with. I'll try the professors in ravenwood for example:

Cyrus Drake: 100% the type to have an extremely specific order and would know IMMEDIATELY if you do it wrong. He won't even take a look in the bag. Would go inside the building just so he can stare directly into the kitchen from the counter. One of the only people who gives feedback in the surveys on the receipts.

Moolinda Wu: Only orders a veggie power bowl and water with a side of cinnabon delights. Though she doesn't worry much if the order happens to be wrong- except if there's meat on the power bowl. She doesn't really come around at all unless she's there with someone else. Prefers the cinnabon delights still frozen.

Uhhh I don't know if I should Mallistaire, Dworgyn, or Malorn- but I might come back to add all three of them in a reblog if I want to oops

Lydia Greyrose: So sweet and understanding, though she will be very particular about how long the food takes to be done and avoids going in during rush hours. Lydia also likes frozen cinnabon delights, was the one to introduce Moolinda to them. Asks for a cup of vanilla creamer, the managers say it's fine. Usually goes drive thru.

Dalia Falmea: Asks for extra diablo sauce, is delighted if you put a comically large amount in a small bag for her. Orders a side of tomatoes no matter what she gets. She would walk inside the building but gets her food to-go. Really she's a typical costumer, but what are you supposed to do when a literally hot woman is towering over you as she ponders about how many supreme dorito tacos she would like??

Halston Balestrom: Mexican Pizza Fiend. He was jumping for joy when he found out they were coming back. The only person to order a coffee in Taco Bell for who knows why. Uses the drive thru in the most elaborately built car you've ever seen in your life. Makes sure you put a utensil in the bag because frankly he doesn't think Taco Bell's pizza is exactly "finger food".

Sorry for the Balance teacher enjoyers too but I kinda lost steam rn I'm kinda sleepy but honestly that's the kind of stuff I would ponder COSLEMMFMF I might come back to add the rest of the professors but yeah you get the gist!

Infodumping/venting about the lack of Mashle fanfics on most fanfic platforms

WARNING: This isn't a vent. This is a mashle fanfic idea dumpster fire with MANGA SPOILERS.

I'm so heartbroken discovering that there is barely any mashle x oc content out there even x readers or character x character. I have so many tiny plot point ideas for a Rayne/Rain x fem oc/reader. Which resulted in me beginning to write my own oc, Darren Randel. Her name's stolen from my random ass mha oc Darren Halston. Darren Randel is lowkey different (she's less edgy/and emotionally unstable) even though they both have brown hair.

PLS TELL ME IF YOU'RE GONNA STEAL OR GET INSPO FROM THIS PLS BECUZ I WOULD LIKE TO HELP.

SO-

What was the original plot idea you may ask?

Infamous girl from rival school transfers to Easton Magic Academy because she fell in love with Rayne Ames lol.

Lowkey unoriginal right?

So then I added an extra spin to it borrowing a key romance drama plot point from See You in My 19th Life: Darren only gets 3 chances to confess and have her feelings be reciprocated by Rayne, and if he rejects her feelings. She'll give up (on that romance).

The ending of the fanfic is bittersweet: She doesn't get Rayne. But they stay close friends.

OH BUT HERE'S WHAT I'M TRYNA FIGURE OUT TO ADD MORE OF THAT BITTERSWEET FEEL TO IT:

1. Darren confused her initial crush on Rayne to be love at first sight/romantic feelings when she actually felt like she had a friend/that sense of trust in him compared to others.

1a. As a result of that she kind of decides to nullify all her chances of getting him.

1b. Regardless of this plot point she still ends up developing actual romantic attraction for Rayne and still doesn't get her feelings reciprocated.

2. It turns out that Rayne ALSO developed feelings for Darren over the course of the fic but he still rejects her advances due to either:

a. Her newfound realisation that she confused her feelings of attraction for something like companionship or trust. (1a)

b. His new position and role as Divine Visionary and the fear that she would be in more danger than she already was. (For context: her former school Walkis has so much beef with her existence for the 4 ish years she was there that they want her erased from existence and the Bureau of Magic is extremely alert about her whereabouts due to that and her skills which will be explained in the OC Profile section below).

c. Typical fears of a dude who for most of his life before Easton was seen as a nuisance alongside his younger brother Finn. (Big headcanon.) Doubt he cares/he probably would shove in the aristocrats face if he was dating her honestly (fake dating plot point???)

When she manifests her third line, it appears across and under her eyes. She switches between 3 types of bottoms. Pants, Long skirt, shorter skirt of which she wears jogging leggings underneath but they’re all dark blue you know.

Skills/Abilities: 

General Magic: Offensive Magic - Due to the competitive environment of Walkis, she has a general grasp on nearly all learnable offensive magic spells. Being able to cast them with ease compared to more typical and unlethal spells. Her speed at casting these spells were unmatched during her time in middle school.

Personal Magic: Impart - Darren’s magic essentially allows her to balance out either magical power, strength, and weaknesses between her targets (living and non living) or with herself. It’s essentially cheating at life. The magic is highly confusing due to the fact that she doesn’t have to chant the words to the magic and its essentially treated as a debuffing magic (which is wrong because she aims to fight everyone on fair terms).

Impart Zero - It dispels a spell.

Impart Seconth: Impartial Vice - Instead of deducting and balancing their power, like a water dam. Water is added to balance both sides.

Summon: Themis (Goddess of Justice) - When summoned, the user’s wand transforms into a dull sword whilst Themis appears with blindfold with a scale in hand

Themis Inclination - Themis appears and buffs her attacks’ range but she rarely utilises this due to how lackluster it was against Rayne (ineffective) and other people

Impart Thirds: Divine Mercy - It’s essentially renders its' target a painless death. It's an instant kill move.

Impart Thirds: Divine Tears - Unlike Divine Mercy, this one's pure torture. (To be developed later) (Tears of Themis reference?)

Wandless Casting: Her aptitude to cast magic without a wand has earned her infamy and wanted death since she enrolled into Walkis in middle school. It has also made her wanted by a few subdivisions of the Bureau of Magic, namely Magic Talent and Magic Research Administration.

Immense Speed: Exactly what running at 4am, and doing marathons before starting class does.

Immense Endurance: Due to the fact she does running as a hobby, her stamina/endurance in terms of speed/running is more than decent. She can withstand advanced offensive spells typically used by the police.

Equipment:

Basic Wand - She prefers to not wield a wand though finding it too rudimentary for her purposes, hence many assume she cannot unleash her secondth and thirds magic (to which she has). It stays in her cloak mostly.

Infinite Storage Fabric - Lining her uniform’s robe it has the ability to store anything it can consume within its’ own subspace. She stores majority of her items in it. Even though it’s mass doesn’t change due to how many things there are, it still is a heavy fabric. It will help fish out whatever the user who is currently wearing the cloak wants to have.

Resistance bands - She carries it around to do some exercise. Especially when she’s in the kitchen

Thick Rope - She carries this around as well but its to apprehend anyone she sees.

Photo album of Rayne Ames - She carries this with her at all times alongside a self printing camera. Don't worry, she gets permission to take the pictures.

Family/History:

The Randel Family while not aristocrats or anything, take pride in their magic aptitude which is a recent cut above the rest. Born as a two-liner magic user, she was put on a pedestal with unwanted attention, which is why she has a hime cut to hide her other mark. Her parents treat her like a trophy child and place their expectations on her.

She’s an only child but has an extensive selection of uncles and aunts 5 each. But she prefers her grandma over everyone else.

She had a tendency to break her wands while practising magic as a kid. Due to this her family/parents decided to just stop supplying wands (cuz it was costly) which resulted in her adapting the way she casted magic spells without the use of a wand. During her entrance exam into Walkis, she was ridiculed for not having a wand and got into trouble while getting the highest score of her batch in terms of magic.

I was tempted to add a Modern Magic/unmagic AU of this as well based on the anime endings which I find to be completely confusing even though they're fun. (SERIOUSLY, HOW IN THE WORLD DO RAYNE AND FINN HAVE FANCY OLD CARS THOSE ARE EXPENSIVE TO MAINTAIN WHEN THEY'RE CANONICALLY ORPHANS UNLESS DIVINE VISIONARY IN MODERN AU IS A SUPER RICH POSITION-)
