Red - my guy is here for a good time, not for a long time. generally rathers fighting games, something they can switch on, burn through some quick fights and switch off to do something else. doesnt strike me as someone to spend much [if anything] on games. f2p options will do them fine. could also see them with driving games for some reason? more like mario kart than serious ones but still likes a bit of racing occasionally. generally pretty chill, would take other options before gaming but still enjoys it when the time comes. plays project sekai for the music, gets wrecked by green most of the time.

Orange - like red, isnt looking for commitments when gaming. would probably enjoy something slow and relaxing, giving them a chance to unwind after the day. i can see them with platformers and roguelikes, games with an end goal in mind. if theres also a cool artstyle they are approaching so rapidly. leaning into more fanon territiory orange would COOK in horror games. living with four sticks who were literally created to fight lead to many suprise attacks, which connected with the horrors™️ they've faced made them practically immune to jumpscares. rarely ever plays them but when he does he is eating it up

Yellow the text is yellow in spirit - okay so we can all agree is an absolute gamer right? right. with that out of the way holy stick. we got the arcade machine first of all, which they have the most high scores on. soo close to beating tetris honestly terrifying. outside of that, you already know my girls feral for a good plot. loves underlying messages and themes, something they can sit down and think about once they finished the story. something like professor layton would keep them entertained for months and they will ramble about it for just as long if you set them off. likes horror games in theory, but thats about it. cannot get jumped to save their life i swear. plays them with orange and spends 90% of the time hiding.

Green - needs to feel his heart in his mouth or hes not having fun. fps are his jam, especially team ones like marvel rivals or overwatch. something about the satisfaction of getting a team where everyone just *clicks* and they sweep the other team, ooh boy they love it. will occasionally indulge in a shouting match if it happens, but most of the time stays civil. a more obvious option, but green also plays rhythm games! prefers ones like guitar hero and friday night funkin', where it feels like youre genuinely preforming on stage. cracked when he focuses, but can get confused and fumble if/when he misses a beat. beats the crap out of red when they play project sekai together.

Blue - lets start with the obvious, loves a good farming sim. a basic answer i know, but you cant deny it. 100% completion on both stardew valley and animal crossing, and if you ask em about it theyll just be like "oh yeah it was pretty easy ngl :]" and wont elaborate. also enjoys rhythm games, but rathers ones like osu and ddr. the warm side of the color gang run bets when green and blue go against each other. similar to yellow, likes a story to follow, but pays more attention to characters and relationships then themes. visual novels are her love language. slay the princess is her wife [projection beam GO 💥]. the most common victim of yellows rambles, and sometimes the roles switch when blue gets started on why those two shouldn't kiss no listen dude you don't understand-

might write up some ideas for a color gang game night at some point, this was very fun :]

You can see a lot of these in the way they play OTHER games too (or just how they are with eachother) and I really like that you took that into consideration! With that being said, TSC and Yellow should play Phasmophobia with me... Cause I suck at it....

Disclaimer: provocative name aside, I am not actually trying to be mean here, these are just my opinions offered for Entertainment Purposes™️, and I'm not mad at anyone who has a different opinion.

1. the character everyone gets wrong

Trick question, it is not possible for everyone to be wrong about anything in Dragon Age fandom because that implies that there's something everyone agrees on. 😉

jk jk that's a cop out. But seriously, for any question that says "everyone" just assume I'm making a wobbly-hand gesture next to it and we all understand hyperbole. Okay.

I think at this point I'm probably at least somewhat known for spreading the good word of Sera. 😉 And at this point I really don't think most misconceptions about her are malicious--I remember a day when Sera was much more widely hated, but she isn't anymore, which is nice! I think some of the more out-there takes on Sera (and about the Friends of Red Jenny) just come from that fact that she actively deflects personal questions until she trusts the Inquisitor, and not everyone looks past the surface-level answers she gives to realize there's more to it. My go-to example is the idea that she magically knew archery from birth and no one ever taught her anything (she didn't, and someone did). Between her dialogue, and World of Thedas, it's possible to put together a fair amount about the timeline of her childhood, when Lady Emmald died, the history of Red Jenny, etc.

But it does take some close attention and some digging and some math (ugh), and let's be real, none of us can know everything about every character! I'll just keep writing about her, because I love her.

6. which ship fans are the most annoying?

Honest to god, for me personally: no one. Maybe that'll change one day, but I hang with a lot of people who ship a lot of ships and none of them bother me. I have like one NoTP in the vast canon that is Dragon Age and you probably don't even know who it is because I don't care enough to talk about it. Hell, I have mutuals who ship it, and it doesn't bother me. You guys are cool.

8. common fandom opinion that everyone is wrong about

This isn't like One Opinion, but a more overarching Thing: in general I think it would be great if there was more understanding of like, How Video Games Are Made, in general. I think it would lead to more focused and productive criticism of games better targeted at where the problems in development actually are. I feel like I see a lot of things that are almost certain attributable to Process Issues attributed instead to Active Malice. On the flip side, it's frustrating to point out something cool and have people always respond with "Well Bioware is too stupid to have done that on purpose," like there aren't writers and designers in this industry who are incredibly passionate about their work and the themes they can weave into it even at the level of chaos they're forced to work within.

22. your favorite part of canon that everyone else ignores

I think because they're such wonderfully complex and well-developed characters, and because romances, the companions are always the juggernauts in the fandom and they always will be. And I love those characters, too. But one of my favorite things about the Dragon Age universe is the many wonderful minor characters where we get to see just enough of their story to make me feel like they do have a whole life they're living just offscreen somewhere, and set my imagination off running. Okay im typing this on my phone as i pass out so pls excuse any mistypes and long winding sentences. This is a stream of consciousness that youve just uncorked my friend

ANYWAY. I really really love canary-and-coal-miner team rancher art, right? And i love birds, and strip mining in minecraft, so i thought. Well! What if i came up with a funny little au where tango is a coal miner and jimmy is his little canary buddy?

Of course, actual coal mining is very scary, and i only write funny goofy things, so this is Mined Craft™️ coal mining. Anyway, tango takes up a job working for some unnamed mining company working under TFC, since i love his mining videos

I havent decided which other hermits to include yet? Im def including grian, joel, and lizzy, since theyre often featured in jimmy’s non-minecraft videos. I dont want to include too many and risk bogging down the story bc i get too caught up in writing accurate voices for everyone, but i might also write in some cameos of bdubs and etho or something. I want to include scott but im afraid i wont be able to properly balance a characterization of him hamming up on the “why yes my ex husband DID disappear under mysterious circumstances and i got most of his items. Why do you ask :)” facade while also deep down being quite sad and upset about jimmy just vanishing off the face of the earth. And then if i DID balance it properly im afraid it would come off more angsty than intended

ANYWAY. Uh. I dont know much lore about hermitcraft bc im still catching up on the lore-heavy videos (i like to just listen to people build/design things while i strip mine in my own world), but i’m thinking there’s enough wacky magic hijinks that i could justify my idea

My idea being that jimmy actually wasnt ALWAYS a canary, he wound up getting turned into one due to [redacted] (bc i havent come up with that part yet and am not particularly pressed to do so). Jimmy used to be a canary hybrid but now he’s full canary - still the same on the inside, but now he’s a tiny bird that loves to cause problems

None of his friends know this happened to him, or else they would have been working hard to get him back to normal. Instead, grian notices two things about this particular canary: he’s way more belligerent and vocal than the other canaries, hardly acting like a prey animal at all, and he seems to be prone to winding up in the parts of the mine that get gas leaks. He’s actually starting to get concerned that this poor little bastard bird has brain damage at this point and thats why hes Like That

So, anyway, grian and the others start calling this canary Timmy, bc it kind of reminds them of their missing friend who was also a canary hybrid and a little shit with terrible luck. They tend to keep timmy on the sidelines bc theyre worried hes been through too much and dont want him passing out anymore

Then, along comes tango! Tango, a blazeborn, is of course a major safety risk inside of a mine where gas leaks and combustibles are common. they trust him well enough to be careful and not blow himself up, but they also cant send him down the usual mineshafts, so they have him working mostly near the deepest parts of the cave, away from the coal veins and closer to the lava pits that he can withstand easier, so he winds up mining alone for the most part

And they think, hey, this is perfect! Now we have someone we can send timmy with so that he’s not cooped up all day. So tango winds up spending several hours a day just exploring deep caves and talking to himself, hanging out with this weird little bird that grian and joel love to bully

Anyway, long story short, this is me indulging in my own personal love of tiny animals and basically writing about tango going “ive had timmy for one day but if anything happened to him i’d blow this place up with myself in it”. Its just dumb little fluffy stuff like jimmy and tango doing back and forth whistle calls (jimmy of course being safely tucked away in an oxygen chamber the whole time), tango absolutely decking his room out with lots of perches and things bc he noticed jimmy hates cages, and tango spending his free time walking around with a bird nestled in his hair

Mostly this is just snapshot scenes in my head, stuff like grian explaining to tango how timmy got his name and what not. But yea this has been taking over my brain for weeks now!!!! Please help me i still need to finish my other wips!!!!!!!!!!
