How long have you been stanning for - Ever since I started watched when I was 15. Sam said “do I have to?” and I was sold.

Favorite Sam era - so many but gotta choose ���will I turn in a monster” Sam from s2 bc it’s laughably obvious that he won’t and nobody can see how obvious it is.

Favorite spn season, but if the only criteria was Sam’s hair - s13 hair slaps. Like it’s so good.

Favorite Sam-centric episode - Also my fav episode of all time: All Hell Breaks Loose Part 1. The Sam we see in that ep is like..so competent and compassionate and confident and then we get the biggest shock in the entire show.

Any ships you may like to mention - I love SamJess, Sastiel, and Saileen

Favorite song you would/have put in a Sam playlist - listen I have so many I could put here but I’m gonna choose my go-to which is “Grip” by Bastille bc it is just...very Sam.

If you could steal one thing from Sam’s wardrobe, it would be - his v neck gray pyjama top bc it looks very comfortable

Favorite unhinged Sam moment - throwing the chair in the ghostfacers episode. He knew it wouldn’t do anything but he threw it anyway to punctuate a dramatic point. Love that for him.

You must have some intense headcanons you need to talk about, tell me one Sam hc that drives you insane - Well...I have a few wrt Sam’s relationship with his body and sexuality and how that’s different pre and post cage. I think he feels very different about intimacy and vulnerability than he used to and it’s really only explored in the subtleties of Sam’s canon reactions.

Tell me something about the hbo Sam that lives in your brain - he keeps in touch with the people that they’ve saved and connects them with each other. They have a email chain (and later when technology allows a group chat).

Oh no, the writers forgot to give Jess a personality! Now it’s up to you. Tell me, what was Jess like - I always saw her as somebody who always lived in the moment. She made snap decisions and went with the flow according to what happens around her. Sam acted as a more logical/grounding presence in that relationship, and Jess was the one who actually got them out and about and living. She grew up in a large family that she was really close to and they welcomed Sam in with open arms when she introduced them. She was incredibly friendly but had a social battery that could drain pretty quickly.

Biggest injustice Supernatural commited against Sam (be as brief or as ranty as you desire) - Lmaooo how do I even choose amongst the many examples we have in canon. Might have to go with the whole s9 fiasco and how awful both the show and the fans were to Sam. I’m just gonna link you to this post where I rant about this extensively.

And finally, just say something about him that makes you smile - those moments where he connects with people (friends or with people whose cases he’s working) and they just start to trust him and he looks so relieved that they do and is so compassionate about it...love those moments.

sam stan ask game! Saw this on @anglicansamwinchester‘s blog and I wanted to do it!

Sibling status (younger, middle, older, only child…) - I am the second youngest of 4, so I get both middle and youngest vibes.

How long have you been stanning for - I loved Sam from the very first episode I ever saw (which I think was Tall Tales) but I think what REALLY did it was Houses of the Holy. Watched that 6 years ago and it was just ... he has FAITH, he has to believe he can be SAVED! Who can watch that and not stan?

Favorite Sam era - S1-2. Psychic Sam rights!! Gender! also S13-14 any time he interacts with Jack. Honestly bringing in Jack was so good for Sam’s character I wish the writers had actually done something with it. 

Favorite spn season, but if the only criteria was Sam’s hair - ummm S3 hair is very good, also S12. 

Favorite Sam-centric episode - Ooooo I’m gonna have to say American Nightmare. I know it’s later seasons and there’s probably stuff from earlier seasons that I technically like better, but MAN if that one doesn’t hit hard. 

Any ships you may like to mention - Saileen is beautiful and I love it so much. 

Favorite song you would/have put in a Sam playlist - ooo there are so many but one I have on my playlist that I love is Power by Bastille. Also I’m Good At Being Lonely Can’t You Tell by fat’se. </3

If you could steal one thing from Sam’s wardrobe, it would be - Carhartt Jacket. It’s a classic and I love it.

Favorite unhinged Sam moment - Not the most unhinged but when he just straight up tackled Lucifer at the end of Season 13 in order to defend Jack. OH also when he slams Nick up against the wall in Season 14. 

You must have some intense headcanons you need to talk about, tell me one Sam hc that drives you insane - that Sam still has access to his powers but the only reason he hasn’t used them is because he’s afraid to. That line in American Nightmare drives me up the wall!! When he says that he can’t anymore and then he says “at least I don’t think so!!” Why didn’t they do anything with that!!! aaaaaaaaaaaa!! HE NEVER NEEDED THE FEATHER TO FLY

Tell me something about the hbo Sam that lives in your brain - black nail polish, overt gender non conformity. Wear skirts with their carhartt jacket. Have open discussions about theological topics, and then cries and their mascara runs down their face.

Tell me, what was Jess like - I don’t have a concrete idea of Jess in my head but I’m just gonna throw out some stuff I like to think about sometimes. She’s bi. She paints. She grew up in California and has 2 younger siblings. She wants to change the world but doesn’t have a concrete plan on how to do that, but she talks about it a lot. 

Biggest injustice Supernatural commited against Sam (be as brief or as ranty as you desire) - The fact that they always made him morally right but textually wrong, I will be angry about this until the day I die. He literally said that choices are what make you a monster, not birth, and the text was like “haha, expect we’re gonna kill the monsters anyway.” Still fuming. 

And finally, just say something about him that makes you smile ♥ His stubborn optimism. Sometimes he will fall into despair, but the way he’s able to pick himself up and say no, I have hope. I have faith. You can take away literally everything I’ve ever believed in, and I will keep believing that good things will happen. <3 KING

-Favorite Sam-centric episode: Free to Be You and Me maybe?? 05x03. i liked that sam got to meet another addict in recovery which like confirmed/validated that the demon blood addiction wasn’t all that supernatural in nature, it’s an addiction like any other, it just happened to give him psychic powers, which was the addictive effect. he wasn’t turned or transformed, it’s entirely in character for sam to see a power like that and do his best to use it for good

- Biggest injustice Supernatural commited against Sam (be as brief or as ranty as you desire): the entire show. character assassination! the abuse he got from dean! the point where they started giving him lines about how he liked being a hunter but in a way that made it sound like he’d just given up on any other life bc all other doors and windows are closed and he won’t get away from dean anyways like sure he loves his brother but i’m p sure he knows that shit ain’t healthy. AND?!?!? diminishing his parental relationship to jack????????? he was the obvious candidate for father figure but they got surprisingly few scens and i’m >:(/(/(/(/(/(/(/(/(/(

Tell me, what was Jess like: [insert john mulaney’s “she’s a bitch and i like her so much” here]. she’s very staunch in her beliefs in a way that matches sam (they have great debates together and are even better at demolishing people as a team). she’s not as concerned about what people think as sam is and has gotten into several arguments on sam’s behalf. she is well-adjusted. takes self-defense classes. she would get along with the good version of dean that lives in our heads but would fistfight canon dean.

-How long have you been stanning for: I first started watching spn around season 11 or so so I haven’t been into it forever. At first, I was attracted to the brotherly love between Dean and Sam, especially because I had come from the Hobbit fandom where I loved the brotherly love between Fili and Kili, and then I fell in love with Castiel and Hannah.

Favorite spn season, but if the only criteria was Sam’s hair: For Sam’s hair? probably 6-8? I like guys with long hair, I always have.

-Favorite Sam-centric episode: Hmm I’ll let you know after my rewatch, but I like episodes where Sam and Dean work together.

-Favorite Sam era: s6-s8

-Favorite song you would/have put in a Sam playlist: Hmm problem is that I don’t really listen to modern music. I feel like Sam is probably an REO Speedwagon fan.

-Any ships you may like to mention: Well I am a hanstiel shipper, but for Sam centric ships, I like Saileen the best. I also like sastiel and maybe a little sabriel.

-If you could steal one thing from Sam’s wardrobe, it would be: All his plaids

-You must have some intense headcanons you need to talk about, tell me one Sam hc that drives you insane: Sam is really into ethnic cuisine, especially Indian food. He loves dosas, but he rarely gets a chance since they rarely go to any major cities where there would be a lot of diversity. Sam also has an interest in history and archaeology and took a few anthropology classes at Stanford.

- Complete the sentence: If Sam cishet, then WHY....: Well... everyone is bi until proven otherwise as far as I am concerned. So yeah, Sam is bi.

-Favorite unhinged Sam moment: I think in season 5 or so? When he told Dean to treat him like an adult.

-Tell me something about the hbo Sam that lives in your brain: Hmm well I am demisexual and I’m not really into HBO or smut so if that’s what this question is getting at, I can’t help. I just don’t really think about characters sex lives very much.

- Biggest injustice Supernatural commited against Sam (be as brief or as ranty as you desire): Uh, the fact that he has made mistakes but the show keeps on throwing it in his face, never feeling like he’s completely redeemed himself and then the show goes out of its way to ALWAYS absolve Dean of all guilt and wrongdoing on his own mistakes. (I’m keeping @bluephoenixrises ‘s answer cuz I kinda agree)

- Oh no, the writers forgot to give Jess a personality! Now it’s up to you. Tell me, what was Jess like: I think she was smart, independent, and well traveled. Sam may have traveled all over the country, but he’s always wanted to  see the rest of the world and he and Jess bonded over her telling him about all the fascinating places she’s been. She is into solo trips but when she died, they were planning their first trip together, to Iceland.

-And finally, just say something about him that makes you smile ♥: that he’s open minded, likes to try new things, is compassionate towards others, sensitive, and you know, he treats Castiel like he deserves to be treated.

How long have you been stanning: Woah to find this I had to go and do some digging and it turns out it’s been just over a year since I started watching Supernatural! That is not as long as some people but I thought it had just been a couple of months.

Favorite sam era: Powers!Sam, but before all of the Ruby mess. You know, when they had no idea why Sam was watching people die but Sam insisted on saving people? And Sam had just lost Jess and was trying to work out why he had dreamed of her death?

Favorite season but the only criteria is sam’s hair: Early seasons, Season 1.

Favorite Sam-centric episode: After School Special, I love that one. Also, arguably Sam-centric, but I loved a Very Supernatural Christmas.

Fav Sam ships: Saileen

Favorite song you would/have put in a sam playlist: I’ve never actually thought about this??? I’d say Try by p!nk, and in earlier seasons Just One Yesterday by Fall Out Boy.

One intense Sam headcanon that drives you insane: Not verrrrrrrrrry intense, but it does drive me absolutely insane: He still has his powers, but doesn’t know about them, causing them to influence things without him noticing.

One thing about hbo sam that lives rent free in your head: His powers just bursting out! Randomly! Uncontrollably!

oh no! the writers forgot to give jess a personality, what was jess like: Confidant and smart! Sam had his first conversation with her and just walked away like :0 She wouldn’t hesitate to punch my Dad. I love her.

Biggest injustice done by supernatural: Never returning to Sam’s powersssssssssssssssssss

One thing about him that makes you smile: It’s made very clear, through the show, that whenever he is nice, and kind, it is a choice that he makes. He never grapples with whether he should do the right thing, but he does give it lots of thought. He wants to help people, whether that’s done by killing monsters or saving not-monsters or even saving monsters! He struggles with whether he’s doing the right thing, but continues to try every single time.

I mean... This is kind of reaching back, but Snarry has always creeped me out. I just. No thank you. Generally I’m all for ship and let ship but Snarry will get the side-eye from me.

A - Ships that you currently like a lot. (They don’t have to be OTPs because not everyone has OTPs.) Friendships, pairings, threesomes, etc. are allowed.

I mean, Destiel, obviously, and the related Cockles (though not really much in fic form, just flailing). I’ve also been intrigued lately by Destiny, Denny, and DCJ. In non-Dean-centric ships, I have a soft spot for Saileen and... um what’s Jody/Donna’s ship squish name, Jonna? Anyway, that.

S - Show us an example of your personal headcanon (prompts optional but encouraged)

I’m not entirely sure what this means... I have lots of headcanons. Do you want my headcanon that Dean started experimenting with guys while drunk while Sam was off at Stanford after John started letting him work more of his own cases? But that until Castiel he always assumed it was just a wild drunken sex thing, he didn’t actually want to be with a guy, not like that? Because that’s a pretty solid one. All in all my headcanons are broad and mutable and open to experimentation. (Just like Dean hue hue hue.)

Okay in spite of my previous answer, I’m joining lots of others (including @ladyofthursday from whom I reblogged this) on the hill of bisexual Dean Winchester.

I - Has Tumblr caused you to stop liking any fandoms, if so, which and why?

.... Eeeehhhhhhh I guess it could be said that Tumblr is responsible for my absconding from the Sherlock fandom, sort of, since it was only through the fandom I found here that I got my hopes up SO HIGH that season 4 dashed them so hard. But. Ultimately I don’t think that’s what this question is asking. I haven’t started disliking any fandoms because of what I saw on tumblr, really.

E - Have you added anything cracky/hilarious to your fandom? If so, what?

Uhhhh... I don’t.... think.... so....???

L - Say something genuinely nice about a character who isn’t one of your faves. (Characters you’re neutral about are fair game, as are characters you merely dislike. Characters that you absolutely loathe with the fire of ten thousand suns are exempt, as there is no point in giving yourself an aneurysm over a character that you hate.)

So, I know a lot of people love Crowley, but he’s never been high on my list. But when he was used well and respected by the writers, he was an AWESOME blend of comedy and power, the kind of snake-oil salesman who can be a really fun narrative tool, since he’s only out for himself -- except when he’s not.
