The Good, The Bad, and The Dirty

      The muscles in her lower lip begin to tremble as she battles with her own conflict. She’s never been great at dealing with her own emotions, especially when they’re drawn out of her. She had spent nearly her entire existence alone on Jakku– left to her own devices. It was there that she learned to keep her emotions and her pessimistic thoughts at bay- she needed to in order to survive. Her salvage wouldn’t gather itself, after all. Now he’s drawing out everything she had buried for so long; her parents, her isolation, abandonment– all of it.

      Her eyes shift to the side as her eyes glaze over with a layer of tears, avoiding eye contact with him in the fear that she may shed the tears welling in her eyes. “Why are you doing this?”
