For my entire teenhood, my Christmas presents have consisted of exactly what I put on my list, nothing more, nothing less. Because I had mastered the art of budgeting out my own Christmas lists. Which, like, I love being surprised on Christmas, and that doesn't really happen anymore I guess. Except last year, my mum bought me the camera I had been saving up for, which was a total surprise and the best Christmas present like ever. Since then my mother has apparently been determined to make sure I'm surprised on Christmas morning. There are two large presents for me next to the Christmas tree, and I need y'all to know now, that they are definitely too big to be a camera strap or a cd. I'm sitting here staring at these large boxes, wondering what the hell is in them. Like the sizes of these boxes have to be some sort of decoy because they're like the size of a box TV and like idk a large crate. My only guesses would be some sort of doll furniture but I doubt that because my mom knows the reason I don't buy doll furniture for myself is because of space and not money. What the hell are in these boxes? And she keeps talking about 'youll be so surprised with some of your gifts' like yeah ma what the hell is in this giant box? I have the smallest room in the house this better fit in there.

love to see the phf build something incredible from the ground up, work their asses off to improve player conditions and salaries and expand, all just for them to be fucked over by a league that has constantly disrespected and belittled them — and is acting the same way in the absolutely despicable nature of this buyout. pwhpa players getting priority contracts, phf players finding out at the same time as the public, and there being less teams than the phf so there is inevitably job loss for players and staff alike … just fucking shitty. a united league is fine, but so far, this does not seem like unity. this seems like a coup.

Well. I was going to share a link to the survey the wip blog put up yesterday, but, apparently it's already closed.

I guess maybe they were planning to take a certain number of responses and just got there fast? People do have a lot to say right now.

Anyway. One of the questions was "if you could change one thing about tumblr, what would it be?" and I wanted to share my answer.

Go back to a more user-controlled experience, like the userbase are begging for.

Big changes are being made without us having a choice. (Like the dashboard layout "experiments". I didn't have experimental features/Tumblr labs turned on, I shouldn't have my whole dash changed for an experiment! Though I think a change That Big should have had a pop-up like 'would you like to participate in this trial?' anyway. Let people choose!

Recently it feels like when users don't like a change, we're ignored or get a response of 'but our way is better'. Even recent changes that are supposed to be optional aren't really. You can 'opt out' of Tumblr Live but it'll come back every week. The "for you" tab can be clicked off of, but new users can't choose "following" as their default tab. Stuff like that makes it feel like even if something is technically optional, we're being constantly pushed towards one option.

Blogs opening on the dashboard instead of their own pages takes away from the variety and customisation of people's blogs, as does turning the chatboxes into one consistent design instead of matching the users' blog colours. It's like we've been in our own clothes for years, and now we're being put in a uniform. You can wear your own clothes at home (your blog page) where very few people will ever go, but at school you look like everyone else. But this place wasn't school. It was the graffitied skate park under a bridge, and an anime convention, a cottage garden, it felt like the site had these different locations, and the way communities designed their blogs added to that feeling massively. And it was freeing, and beautiful.

7th Anniversary Update

7th anniversary has arrived in TW server, and it's more fruitful than I expected.

Got Ryouma (and Summer Melt) in the GSSR

Took 20+ tickets and 90 SQs to get Xu Fu (and a Arcueid + Zhang Jue in the process)

And now I'm grinding in the QP mines because levelling up 2 SSRs is a pain in the butt help
