And Dick just absolutely tearing up because Bruce is trying to separate him from his owlet, and Jason just SCREAMING at Bruce because how dare he insinuate that they sleep apart (but also grudgingly relenting because Bruce isn’t wrong, his back DOES hurt…)

So they do end up trying to sleep apart, but Dick just straight up stops sleeping at all after the second night of having a panic attack because— what if Jason spontaneously stops breathing during the night? What if the Court found him? What if Jason is hurt? And just holes up outside Jason‘s window like a very sad doggo that‘s not allowed inside the house to stand guard

Jason doesn’t fare any better. He trusts Bruce now, but the manor is big AF, what if someone breaks in? What if the bad people try to take Dick away to their strange cult again? What if everything was just a dream and he‘s still a lonely street kid trying to survive the night?

Yeah, neither is having a good time for it and eventually Jason and Dick compromise and make a nest on top of Jason‘s bed.

They are horribly codependent and while it‘s not exactly healthy, they’re both very happy.

Bruce just sighs and orders larger beds for both boys with drapes so it feels more like a nest for Dick. 💚🦉

COUGHS. MORE SPIDER-MAN MISSA AU

The Ender King targeting Missa is a very fun scenario for me because he’s doing it without the knowledge that Missa is Spiderman/El Catrin. He’s doing it because he’s Missa!! A normal civilian, close to Philza, an easy way to tear his heart up if anything happens to him. Truthfully, the Ender King doesn’t care about Missa/El Catrin, he only wants to hurt Phil through any means necessary.

I imagine he has something like long range hallucination powers? Astral projecting? Either way, he’s absolutely terrorizing Missa with hallucinations of people and things aren’t there.

Missa doesn’t know what to make of it at all. El Catrin/Spiderman has been targeted plenty of times, sure, that’s normal for him. Being a vigilante doesn’t come without risks like that, no matter how nerve-wracking. But this isn’t El Catrin being targeted, it’s Missa. Normal, plain, unassuming Missa. With Ender King’s powers suffocating him, he can’t be El Catrin. If someone can terrorize him that easily without being there, just in his head, who’s the say they can’t do the same to Spider-Man? That they can’t recognize his mind, connect the dots, pull him apart?

But The Ender King is still hurting him, and possibly other people. Missa can’t put on the mask that makes him better, but he has to do something. Anything. He can’t just let this torment happen to other people. He can’t just let this guy run around, doing what he wants. So he has to shed his disguise of Spider-Man, and he has to throw himself into stopping this as Missa.

Secretly, in the moment, he’s glad his family is missing. He misses them dearly, his heart aches with the thought of them, but he can’t imagine involving them in something like this. Where his identity is targeted, where they’re all in danger because of him. He’s doing this alone, sure, but nobody else is involved deeply. Nobody else gets hurt if he fumbles. Just him.

hi! I was thinking over your message this week because this is something i struggle with a lot, so various media/things have worked at various times, but here are some things that have given me this feeling in the past: movies/tv: - kingdom of dreams and madness, song of the sea, from up on poppy hill, grand budapest hotel, phantom thread, the night is short walk on girl, urasawa naoki's manben books: invisible cities (italo calvino), piranesi (susanna clarke) underland (robert macfarlane). - skip & loafer, blue period, witch hat atelier - also various folklore and mythology collections other: visiting libraries or museums/digital collections online, keeping an eye out for unusual events/shows in your area, lectures/videos & interesting concepts (animals/architecture/culture, whatever), going on walks, & making cursed little crafts. - recently I got a little handheld microscope and while idk if it really counts as "inspo" it's been really special to be able to look at things up close, and makes you look at your everyday surroundings differently afterwards I just want to add that it's easy to be stuck in a cycle feeling so unhappy with yourself for being unable to make things like you used to. try not to worry too much, and pursue your interests without pressure of finding inspiration, the drive to create will follow. I hope you will encounter surprising and fun moments that fill you with joy!
