@evilmcg sent: She just strolls into his office and kisses him out of nowhere. (For E-Morty)
The sound of the door of the office being thrown open hardly disturbed Morty's focus. There was only one person who would dare to barge in uninvited and without knocking, and by now he had gotten used to her unplanned visits.
What he wasn't expected was the change in their usual script that happened next. Usually Meg would either wait for him to finish what he had been in the middle of doing or she would have made some annoying noise, like clearing her throat or tapping her foot, to force him to give her his attention instantly.
This time, instead, the girl had other plans. Before the president could do or say something, Meg had walked around the desk and come to stand right next to him. Morty barely had the time to look up before her hands framed his face without warning and the next moment he was being kissed. Fervently and insistently.
All he could do was responding to the gesture, a little clumsily, even if he would have denied that even under torture, because of how taken aback he was.
Once they separated, his first urge was to say something, perhaps throw out a witty comment, as he would normally do. However, he soon realised that no words were coming to his lips and mind, so he sat there, still a little stunned, staring at her.

Keeping a straight face through all the initial pleasantries that were exchanged was an easy task to fulfil for Morty. After all, he was a consummated liar and actor by now. No one was able to see through his masks unless he allowed them to.
With one inevitable exception, but it didn't really count.
So, once they were all sat down and ready for their holiday meal, he looked a little surprised when nothing but a salad was placed before his counterpart. Of course, what followed next was a frowny glare in the girl's direction, openly showing his disapproval and annoyance, before his attention was fully redirect to his other self.
Amber eyes softened while meeting identical once, as they both acted like they had fully forgotten she was there in the first place. All part of their plan, of course, but he would have lied if he had said that he didn't enjoy this specific part more than the rest.
"Of course, you can. No one who is a good friend or partner would purposefully make their other half upset, especially when they are supposed to show them how grateful they are instead."
The jab wasn't subtle at all, but his gaze remained glued on his counterpart's face, as if his words didn't have any obvious second aim. His smirk widened a little more as he gathered a forkful of food from his plate and then lifted it up, offering it to his other self.
A romantic, caring gesture, to mock Meg even more harshly, to rub in her face how they could both be easily content without her participating.
In the meanwhile, Rick had been quiet as he had been instructed to be. He hadn't spoken, hadn't interacted, hadn't reacted. To everyone but his Morty, it would have almost felt like he wasn't even there to start with.
Yet, he was, sharp and attentive, not missing any move. The perfect precision tool, for any use his Master wanted to use him for.
When his counterpart took the salad he didn't wish to eat, though, he finally spoke up, interacting with his company and surroundings for the very first time since he and his Morty had arrived.
"E-Eat my portion, other me. I'll have the salad," he said, pulling the plate the other president had rejected towards him and switching it with his own. "I-I don't need to consume food daily anyway. I-I'll have the not nutritious, insipid plate."
The meal that had been prepared for him might have not been his counterpart's special favourite kind of meat, but it was still meat nonetheless. He knew that the other would have enjoyed it. And, anyway, it added to the insult towards Meg, so they both had fulfilled their assigned role.
UNPROMPTED THANKSGIVING ASKS || always accepting
@evilmcg sent; Emeg serves her grandpa his special meal before serving her boyfriend morty a plate of salad and nothing more. Showing she cared but was still pissed at him. (evilmcg for emorty and rick v-79) @countlessrealities mentioned
When the plate of food was served, Rick sat up straight. He knew better than to just dig right into it. Not after the many scoldings that he received from the way he ate. So, he would wait until he saw Morty eat first.
Though, Morty's mind was elsewhere. No where near to even paying attention to his grandpa. Instead, he eyed the salad in front of him. Glancing over at her, he could tell she felt smug from how petty she was. If she wanted to play like that, then he would do the same.
He pushed the salad off towards the side, leaned onto his side where his counterpart sat next to him. Softly laid his head on that shoulder. Gazing up with sweet, innocent amber eyes.
"Can I have some of yours?" The words came out sweetly. "Apparently Meg only made enough food for you, your Rick and herself."
From across the table, Rick took the silent permission to grab the plate of salad and slid it over towards himself.
"M-Morty said that I could have his salad." Even if he didn't really want it, it was all part of the plan to get back at Meg. And, well, he was always on Morty's side first and foremost.
No matter if he cared for the small fight or not.

Out from a portal, stepping into the other timeline's office, Morty made a confident bee-line towards his counterpart's desk. Stopping in front of it, bent over, elbows leaned on the surface. Amber eyes gazing with a mischief that would soon be explained. Smirking softly as well.
Behind him came his original Rick. Who ended up naturally gravitating over towards his counterpart. No other reason than to just stand beside him. Grey-blue eyes glued themselves onto the other's face without another thought behind it.
Morty cleared his throat. "As you know, Meg invited all of us back to my apartment for a holiday dinner party," He rolled his hand dismissively as he explained. "And because I happened to have pissed her off, I have a proposition for you,"
As he leaned in closer, laying his full chest onto half of the desk, he spoke in a softer tone. "I want us to play some mind games with her, teach her a lesson that she can't get away with treating me like this. I sort of want to act like you tonight, be your shadow in everything that you do, treat her the way you do. Confuse her to the point that she won't know who is who,"
Standing up straight again, he rounded the desk until he was standing closer to his counterpart. Somehow it was easy for him to plop himself onto that lap, gentle hands placed on those shoulders, melting into that body that he sat on top of.
"But, if you have any better ideas, I'd love to hear them~"
{ To your Evil Duo from my Evil Duo xD // aka he wants to torment their shared girlfriend for fun bc he's mad at her fdshjkfhdskj }
{ @evilmcg - mentioned }
Morty almost didn't lift his gaze from the report he was reviewing when he heard the sound of a portal opening. After all, he had no reason to be alarmed, since he was utterly certain that, whoever his visitor was, they wouldn't have been a threat. Not to his person nor to his plans. He had made sure of it when calibrating the shields that protected those environments.
There were only four people who could access his office, and his personal lodgings too, by portal gun: himself, his Rick, his counterpart and the latter's Rick. Everyone else who tried would have gotten redirectly straight into the Blender Dimension. The only exception to that was E-Rick, who would be redirected in front of the front door, so that he could ask for permission to enter.
So, the only reason why the president's eyes promptly lifted was his second-in-command nudging him through their mind-link and warning him that it was his other self paying him a visit.
Arching a brow and tilting his head a little, Morty watched as his counterpart stalked towards him, looking like a man with a mission. A sight that both amused and intrigued him. And when he heard what it was all about, he couldn't stop the sly smirk that curled his lips.
"You'll have to tell me all about how and why she pissed you off," he stated, leaning in too, hands joined so he could rest his chin on top of them. "Whatever made you want to be this harsh on her must be an interesting story and I want to hear it."
The more in detail, the better. He would have found a way to use it against Meg in the future too. He always did.
Moreover, the idea of the two of them teaming up against her filled him with both smugness and a sense of comfort, because it was concrete proof of how he was the real favourite.
Having the other dropping in his lap wasn't something he had expected, but he managed to conceal his surprise, his arms wrapping around that waist with just a split moment of hesitation and clumsiness. He didn't want to look unprepared or, even worse, unwelcoming. He wanted his counterpart to think of him, come to him, long for him, for any reason.
He needed it.
"I can always come up with ideas on how to mess with her, but your plan is brilliant and fun, so there is no need for me to think of a different strategy," he went on, eyes falling half-lidded. "I will follow your lead on this...and make sure that we both make our act extremely believable."
While the two presidents had their little exchange, Rick remained unmoving in his spot, loyally standing behind his Master. Even when his counterpart came to stand right next to him, his gaze didn't leave the teen, not until he was certain that he was fully comfortable with handling the situation on his own.
Only then he turned his attention on his other self, grey-blue eyes meeting identically blank ones. And if he slided a little closer, causing their shoulders to brush, nothing in his behaviour betrayed that it was intentional.

Plotted starter for @mcltiples & @evilmcg
The air in the lab was still and cold, saturated with the pungent smell of chemicals and disinfectant. Under other circumstances, there would have been other odours in the mix, coming from various experiments and test subjects, but Rick had made sure to remove any trace of his usual activities for the occasion.
Not only the procedure was delicate and demanded his utmost attention, but there was an emotional value to it. Not for him, of course, but for everyone else who was in the room with him. It seemed appropriated to treat it as a ritual.
The tools and devices he needed were already in place, perfectly aligned on the mobile side table set next to him, ready for use. He was very peculiar on how the instruments should be positioned, but he would have been more lenient about it today. After all, his counterpart would have been assisting him and he couldn't demand that the other knew every detail of his methods.
Grey blue eyes landed on the corpse that was lying on the operating table, studying it for a moment, blank expression unreadable. It had been perfectly preserved, as if mere seconds had passed from when her heart had stopped, but no one could have denied that this was a portrait of death.
The cold, naked flesh was too pale, closer to grey than to its usual rosy complexion. The hair was messy and spent, no trace of its usual volume and softness. The limbs were perfectly still and rigid. The face, unmoving and expressionless, was the biggest giveaway, even if he had made sure to close the eyes.
Holding a syringe in his gloved hand, Rick turned his attention on his other self, who was standing on the opposite side of the table.
"L-Let us begin," he spoke up, draining the vial of orange liquid that his counterpart was holding for him. "I-If any complication presents, I'll handle it myself."
Not that he thought that there would be any. It was a procedure he had perfected through the years. However, he knew better than being overly arrogant. In the unlikely case something went wrong, he would be ready.
Leaning against the whole, away from the too bright white lights, Morty watched in silence as his Rick injected the first drug in Meg's dead veins. Just as his second-in-command, his expression betrayed no emotion, even if his lips were pressed together in a thin line. A little hint that betrayed that he wasn't as unfazed as he was trying to look.
From his spot, he couldn't fully see the operating table, but he didn't need to when he could easily watch the procedure through his Rick's eyes. Literally.
Besides, even if he wouldn't have admitted it, he felt more comfortable remaining in the dim darkness. It made it easier for him to hide any reaction he might have against his will. Self-control wasn't something he lacked, but the feelings and the thoughts that had been festering inside him for weeks now had grown powerful and unpredictable.
Useless to say, the fact that he was conflicted about what was taking place in that moment didn't help. He would have never denied Meg the chance to be alive again. He could be cruel and he had been unfair to her plenty of times, but he would never cross such a line with someone he cared for. On the other hand, though, he couldn't stop thinking about how he would have soon be set aside, relegated to a background role while his counterpart and the girl were all over each other.
He had hoped that forcing them to put him at the centre of their world while she had been gone would have softened the blow that was about to come, but the knot that was squeezing his stomach in that moment told him that it hadn't worked.
Pathetic, that was what he was. Wounded by something as trivial as emotions. Perhaps this was for the best. It could have been his chance to walk away and get rid of the weakness that relationship had brought him.
A firm tug coming from the back of his mind snapped him out of his gloomy contemplations. He lifted his eyes just in time to meet his Rick's for a moment. No thought or gesture passed between them, but there was no need for it. He knew what he was being told.
Focus. Stay in the present. There would be time for everything else once he would have been alone, in the privacy of his flat.

@evilmcg sent: Recently, she had taken SR's advice on dumping the other Megs at this Citadel, so her boyfriend Morty wouldn't have to interact with them and she wouldn't fly into a murderous jealous rage. She hadn't felt much jealousy when it came to Mortimer (that's what she liked to believe anyway), but when she caught sight of a Meg talking to Mortimer when she decided to visit him on a whim and he was being so gentlemanly towards the girl, she snapped. Charging over there in an instant. Not only slicing her throat, but stabbing her over and over again once she tackled her to the ground. Panting heavily over her corpse once she was done. Only now meeting Mortimer's gaze. (for E-Morty)
Morty would have never admitted it, but the first time he had heard of a Meg appearing on his Citadel, he had been quite puzzled. Of course, from time to time, it happened that someone who wasn't a Rick or a Morty stumbled on the city-state by accident, but how many chance were there for them to be a version of his girlfriend?
His instinct had immediately told him that it hadn't been a mere coincidence, but he had decided to merely had the girl escorted back to her dimension and not to think too much about it.
...Until it had happened a second time. And then a third. At that point, only a fool wound have clung to the idea that it was a mere coincidence, and the president was anything but.
So, after the second Meg had been taken care of, he had retraced her steps and found out that she had landed on the other Citadel first. That had been enough for a certain suspicion to form in his mind, one that he had gotten the chance to test with the third arrival.
Thus, why he had decided to deal with this other Meg in person, showing her his most charming persona. Useless to say, the girl had gotten bewitched by the act and quickly turned to putty in his hands. It was pathetic, but it didn't annoy him as it would have under other circumstances. He was sure that his Meg would have been outraged by the sight and the idea amused him to no end.
So why resisting when he caught the sight of her spying on him and his current company? He saw now reason to and took the girl's hand in his own, brushing a courtly kiss on top of it.
What happened next was admittedly unexpected. While he had anticipated an overreaction on his girlfriend's part, he hadn't anticipated that level of violence. He had thought that Meg would have screamed and made a scene, at most physically shoved her other self out of the way, but not spilled blood, and even less brutal murder.
If asked, he would have claimed that he had chosen to just stand there and watch, but in truth it was all he could do, as caught off guard as he was. Amber eyes widened imperceptibly as the followed the blood spurting all around, staining the ground and the First Lady's clothes. He was fascinated by it, he had always been, but it somehow looked more endearing and prettier knowing that it was being spread by her hand.
By the time Meg was done raging over her alternate's corpse, Morty had succeeded in burying away his initial reaction and true emotions, leaving nothing but a smug smirk for her to see. There was no way he would have let her see how captivated he was, not unless she had earned that admission.
"Look at what we have here," he hummed, a hint of mockery echoing in his voice. "Really, Meg? Causing a scene just because I was being polite? Careful, or people will start thinking you're so head over heels for me that you can't stand the idea of someone just innocently walking a little too close to me."
He knew that she would have hated what he was implying. Her being in love with him, being obsessed with him. Not that he truly thought that she could have ever been, he knew better than that. It was something that was, for better or for worse, reserved exclusively for his counterpart. However, it was fun to pretend that it could be.
"And look at that. You really made a mess of yourself."
One of his hands wrapped around her arm, coaxing her back on her feet, while the other fished a handkerchief out of his pocket. And if he was much more gentle, almost affectionate, as he cleaned the blood off her face than he had to be, he pretended not to notice.

@evilmcg sent: “It won’t be anything too hard. Just make sure no Morty gets too creepy with me and make sure no one tries to attack me since I was stabbed that one time. Oh, and I’ll ask you to do small things for me, like getting me snacks. As long as you can handle that we’re golden.” for SR
When Rick had accepted the First Lady's job offer, he hadn't been fully sure of what to expect. Meg had been a little too vague for his liking when describing what his mansions would be, but he hadn't dared pointing it out. It was no secret that the girl had a temper, just as it was public knowledge that the President tended to indulge her whims more often than not.
It was the same reason why he had agreed to take the position without putting up much resistance. It was best not to get on her bad side. Besides, she was still his superior, in a way, and he had made a career out of following orders...unless they had been obviously crazy or wrong.
"Uh, s-sure, Lady Meg. I-I think I can handle all that. An-And anything else you might need from me."
Despite what it might look like, he was highly trained and a consummated professional. Acting as a bodyguard and fetching snacks was nothing compared to some of the missions he had been sent to during the previous years.
"A-As I mentioned, however, I'd like to keep some of my former duties. E-Especially my patrol days in Mortytown. M-Most guards don't take those seriously, an-and someone must."
The neighbourhood had gotten better since President Morty had been elected, but there was still much to do. Rick had taken helping out rehabilitating the place at heart and he didn't want to give it up.
"I-I'll make sure to arrange my shifts s-so that they don't interfere with my duties towards you."

@evilmcg sent: “Please, Mortimer, I need you.” for E-Morty post revival
A bitter, hollow laugh bubbled in Morty's throat at Meg's words, but he managed to stop the ugly sound from leaving his lips. He didn't want to give her a pretext to play the victim more than she was already doing. He could hardly stand it to this degree.
And yes, he couldn't deny that she had all the rights to act like that, she had died. He knew that and he acknowledged that. However, it didn't mean that he would bend over backwards to please her when she came running to him because she couldn't get the amount of attention she wanted from his counterpart.
He had already told her once. He refused to be used as a backup plan. So, she could take her empty pleas and go back to the one she truly longed for.
"No, you don't. It's not me that you need and we both know that," he stated in a flat tone, but the furrowing of his brows gave away that he wasn't as unaffected as he was trying to appear. "I played my part when you couldn't have him. I got something out of it, as you did, so we're even. Now I have no interest in keep on playing pretend. If other me has no time for you, suck it up and wait."
The "you can't fool me into thinking you're genuine" went unsaid, but it should have been obvious. Or, at least, it was obvious for him.
"If this is all, I must ask you to leave. I still have a lot of work to go through and I'd rather not be forced to delay it."

That was something else Morty could relate to. He never wanted to feel like he had back in his original dimension ever again and he had done everything in his power to make sure it wouldn't happen. So, he could easily imagine her frustration, even if he had no intention of showing any sympathy.
Besides, he was already meeting her halfway by offering understanding and kinship.
And, since he was feeling generous, he would throw her another bone. After all, Meg herself had just hand him the perfect excuse to have her deep in his debt. Had he agreed with her, he could have easily demanded pretty much anything from her, in return for his attention and support. He would admit that it was very tempting, but he was playing the long-term game right now.
Instant gratification needed to be sacrificed for the sake of his final goal.
"You don't need to pay me back," he answered, standing up and starting to collect his belongings. "We discussed this already. You're my girlfriend now, I owe you time and attention. I'm merely fulfilling my duties as your partner."
Once the desk was tidied up and everything he needed was stashed away in his crossbody bag, Morty pulled out his portal gun. Normally, he would have walked the way back to his flat, but he didn't want everyone to see the girl's ghost.
"Let's go."
A portal was opened in front of them and the president gestured Meg to float through it. He knew the etiquette and he knew that she liked it when he acted all gentlemanly, so...Ladies first.
"I never wanted to feel this way again mortimer." Sure in her original life it wasn't always being ignored. It was either being ignored or bullied. Neither of which she was very fond of. "But it is comforting that someone knows how it feels." It was surprising that he was willing to share that information with her.
Even if he didn't follow it up with anything just admitting it at all was a huge step for the boy. Atleast that was how meg saw it. It made her feel like she had something to cling to. Something that made her feel closer to him.
Made her feel like she could depend on him. Things like pride right now didn't matter. She could pick up the pieces later. Right now she needed him and for him to see it as worth his time she would be what he needed her to be. Make him feel valued. Wanted. Because right now he very much was.
There was the fact that he was also right. About this sucking but her having to get used to it and fast. No reason to wallow in her misery more than she already was.
He was right about that. The fact that the sadness the grief she was feeling in having her life ripped away from her was that much more intense because she was a ghost. Deciding to focus on it too much would only make her feel that much worse.
"Your place." She repeated his words. Though it was more like a question atleast in her mind. She had never been to his apartment before. Whenever she would visit him it had always been at his office or at public place. To her this meant something big. Like it was a new step in their relationship. When it came to them they had never been the most open to each other. "Okay. Thank you mortimer. This really means a lot to me. I need you now more than I ever have before and I'll pay you back for this. I promise."

Deep down, Morty was almost impressed by the self-control she was showing. Before her death, at this point of the discussion, she would have already started to scream and perhaps to damage his personal effects, but instead, while obviously upset, she was still resorting to using words.
Of course, he wasn't fully convince that this was just a matter of self-restrain. Most likely her ghostly nature was to blame too, as it seemed that every emotion she felt was inevitably dampened by sadness. He was tempted to ask, curious to understand more about the sort of spirit she had become, but he held the urge back. He would have time to ask his questions on another visit.
After all, he was the only one she had now. Aside from that one Rick who had been annoyingly courting him, looking for an alliance, but he'd rather ignore that fact.
"Then it's about time you remember how to cope with that, because this is what you'll be stuck with until I and other me bring you back to life," was what he claimed instead, matter-of-factly. There was no hint of sympathy or concern in his voice. "You can hate it as much as you want, but it won't change reality. The sooner you accept it, the better it will be."
For her, but also, and especially, for everyone else.
If the show of vulnerability caught him off guard, he didn't show it. However, it was clear that it didn't go unnoticed, not with how his eyes narrowed for a moment and how his stare became more contemplative.
"Believe it or not, I know exactly how that feels." Before Rick had entered in his life, he was unseen and forgotten more often than not. "Feeling like you don't exist for anyone in your life."
He couldn't have said why he had felt the urge to tell her that. Perhaps it was his way to even the ground, to throw her some crumbles she could cling to. Or maybe it was the push of those all feelings he was struggling to hide, demanding for him to find a way to be closer to her.
A beat of silence followed, as he pondered her request. It wasn't hard to fulfil in itself, but he needed to ponder how much to give to get her hooked and make sure she would have kept coming back for more.
"How about this," he eventually started to say. "I'll wrap this last affair up, then I'll call it a day. We can go back to my place," which was no small feat, since he had never taken her there, "and we can spend the rest of the day together. I have plenty for us to do there."
She was pissed at him in that moment but rather than it being displayed in a violent tantrum like she usually had instead it was this silent simmering anger. Even when she finally responded with words she wasn't interested in screaming. Simply making her point. "I know life isn't fair mortimer. I lived my whole life where that was the case. You think just because I've been spoiled that I don't know how the real world works. Well I do. I went years never getting what I wanted."
She finished with a huff. Crossing her arms over her chest. "It just so happens that I've grown comfortable. Grown comfortable with comfort itself. Security. Now it's like I'm back at square one and I don't like it." She finished with a hiss but did not continue her tirade. She made her point and the last thing she wanted was to get in an actual fight with the boy.
Like it or not she needed him right now. Not just his comfort but him talking to her to begin with. For someone who was used to and craved attention being a ghost got in the way of that. So any social interaction she could get was good. So in this state she couldn't risk making him too annoyed with her.
She needed him. More than she ever had before and that meant giving him all the power. "It's bad enough not being with morty but you would not believe how lonely this is. Not just in general but I'm used to all eyes being on me at all times and now almost no one can see me."
She felt that raw vulnerability. It sickened her to her core. Especially showing that side of herself to him of all people. Any weakness she showed him would only give him leverage in their relationship but right now she didn't have a choice. Hell even her crying hadn't been an attempt at manipulation of any sort. Like she could ever manage that. It was just her emotions being too strong and full of sorrow to hold back.
Containing her emotions had been a struggle ever since she came to the citadel. The place felt like home and as consequence to that she always was her authentic self. It started off slow. Her delicately letting her walls down but in no time at all she let herself be free. Even if her real self could be ugly and raw like this.
"I want comfort mortimer but I understand if you can't provide that to me. Atleast not yet I just need something. I need you. You and prime are the only ones close to me that believe I'm real and treat me as such. You don't even have to be affectionate. It would be nice but I just need you to pay attention to me. Please just treat me like I exist and that you want me."

As he watched the tears dripping along Meg's face, Morty almost rolled his eyes. She could cry like an infant as much as she wanted. It wouldn't have made him change his mind. It wouldn't have moved him in the slightest, if not for the light annoyance that the sight was causing.
So, he just stared at her blankly, perhaps looking even a little bored, nursing his drink. For what he was concerned the only interesting thing about that pathetic display was the fact that he had no idea that ghosts were capable of producing body fluids of any sort. What a curious discovery. It made him wonder about the science behind it.
He opened his mouth to ask her if she was done acting like a spoiled kid, but a voice stopped him before he could voice a single syllable.
Master.
The president sealed his lips, hiding the scowl that curled them inside his glass. It seemed like his second-in-command had decided to censor him. And, while Rick might have been right about how that would have been the wrong thing to say, it still irritated him.
He hated it when the man proved that he could put in action his plans better than Morty himself could.
"Life isn't fair, Meg. Perhaps this will be the one time you'll learn that lesson," was what he answered instead, following the words with a stiff shrug. "Also, I never claimed to be a good person. I'm a sadistic piece of shit deep down, and I'm very well aware of it."
And he obviously was perfectly fine with being what he was.
"I can sympathise with having someone else ripping the control on your life out of your hands." He had suffered through that for most of his life. "But, as I said, other me doesn't need you to comfort him. He's not miserable when I'm around. So, you will patiently wait for your turn when you'll be back among the living."
He didn't comment on what she had said about the surprise gift she had been planning on giving him. He couldn't acknowledge it when it would have forced him to face the part of his feelings he was struggling so hard to avoid.
"I'm perfectly capable of offering comfort...when I want to." In his own way, at least, and when he knew exactly what sort of comfort the other person wanted. "As for affection...I have my moments."
Almost all of which were dedicated exclusively to his counterpart, but those were details.
Meg merely blinked at the boy. The information he gave her taking a minute or so to sink in and just then she began to openly weep. Fat tears rolling past her cheeks before she began to audibly sob. Her sadness having an affect on the room itself.
She wasn't breaking anything and even if she did it wouldn't be intentional like most of her tantrums. No this was just meg completely at a loss of what to do and miserable in her current state of things. "Come fucking on mortimer! Don't do this to me! You know what kinda girl I am! You know what I need! I need him!"
She stomped her foot in frustration but due to her being a ghost it didn't really hit anything solid so as an action it looked stupid. "He's my everything and after everything I've been through all I want is to be comforted by the love of my life and comfort him in return."
Sniffling sounds escaped her. Her eyes still welled up with tears. "This isn't fair! You're being cruel and I thought maybe you'd take pity on me or atleast have some sympathy for what I'm going through. What I went through. I died mortimer. I died because some piece of shit boy couldn't take no for an answer. I thought I was done with stalkers once I left my original dimension for good."
Another sniffle and the girl wiped at her eyes. "That was even gonna be my surprise to you. Us killing my previous stalker together." Someone she hadn't even told morty about so she thought that was the special something that was gonna make up her previous hiccup to the other president.
"But now you're just using this as an excuse. An excuse so you can have our boyfriend all to yourself. You know we have our differences and you can get on my last nerve but atleast I'm not doing that anymore. Trying to steal him from you. I just want him because I miss him. Because I'm miserable and I know he's miserable too."
What had started as a bit of rage had slowly simmered into a pit of sadness again. Was this what it was like for ghosts? Stuck in their despair? His offer had her expression softening however. "You're willing to do that? For me to take up your time like that?" She huffed with a pout. "I mean you can't provide everything. Our relationship is clearly different. I was hoping for comfort and affection from him. You really can't give me that can you?"

The corners of Morty's lips curled slightly downwards. It seemed that Meg was as loud and demanding in death as she had been in life. If it hadn't been so vexing, he might have found somewhat comforting seeing that some things truly never changed.
"Yes, why else would you have bothered to come here..." He echoed in a flat tone, gazing down at his drink.
From the outside, it looked like he was more interested in the liquor than in what the girl was saying and doing, and he wanted her to believe that. In reality, however, he was giving her all his attention. He didn't miss a word of what she had said, nor a twitch of her ghostly body, no matter how small.
If he hadn't felt as empty inside as he was, he might have laughed in her face. She was, yet again, such a fool. Did she really expect him to go and talk to his counterpart and let him know that she was still real, even if not alive? And to what aim? So that she could take up all his other self's time and leave him forgotten on the sidelines?
Never going to happen.
"No, I won't do it," he answered, after he had downed his second drink. "And you will stop visiting other me, because you acting up around him is only making things worse. You're not helping, you're harming him. You're making him think he's going mad. So, if you care for him, you'll leave him alone until you're back."
His tone was cold and adamant, speaking in volumes of how he wasn't going to change his mind.
"He doesn't need you to comfort him. He has me for that. I can give him all he needs and I can do it better than you ever could. So, as I said, be patient and wait for us to bring you back."
He was all his other self wanted right now and he refused to give up on it. He knew that he would have been pushed away the moment she would have come back to life, so he had all the intentions of exploiting his current position as much as he could. She wouldn't have stepped in the way of that, or he would have made her regret it.
Yet, that wasn't the only twisted wish that festered in the back of his mind. He not only had the chance to have his counterpart all for himself, but he could have done the same with Meg.
"If you want attention, I will give it to you. You can come to me. I won't ignore you. I will spend time with you and help you as much as I can. Whatever you need from other me, I can provide. Because I know you're real, he doesn't. And I can promise you that he never will."
Meg let out a large sigh of relief. Thank god he actually believed she was real. So far only one other person was convinced she was an actual ghost and that ghosts were indeed real. Not only had her other boyfriend had believed she was a mere hallucination but her dad too. Sure mortimer was being difficult but when was he not?
"Well why else would I be here mortimer?" She doubted he was that upset by her death. Maybe he wasn't completely unaffected since they were dating and all but she assumed it was annoyance at best.
Maybe not well though. Had he been upset she would've tried comforting him in some way but that wasn't him and it wasn't there relationship either. "Besides that's not why I'm here either. Daddy already told me morty's bringing me back. That's not the problem."
Her expression was a mix of frustrated but also heartbroken before she began her whiney tirade. "The problem is morty's not paying attention to me anymore! I've tried to visit him! To comfort him like a good girlfriend would do but he just ignores me! Clearly he doesn't believe in ghosts and thinks I'm some kind of hallucination."
She huffed with a pout before pointing at him. "That's why I need you to talk to him. Convince him that I am real and that I've been trying to communicate with him! I've even been doing normal ghost stuff. Moving things and breaking things so he'd notice but he just ignores it! Like it's totally normal for something to be lifted in mid air and smash to pieces!" She said with a heavy sigh.
"So please do this for me? If you don't want to then what do I have to do to make you want to?" There was the comment he made about him being her second choice but she decided not to comment on it. Again it wasn't like he was gonna properly communicate his issues or annoyance with it. He was just gonna continue to be passive aggressive.
