[ closed starter; @waterblossoms ] charlie whistled to himself, rounding the corner to make his way to work. he walked straight into people waiting in a line. after apologizing, he walked up the line to see what all of the fuss was about, only to see giulia at the front. it looked like some sort of meet and greet for the radio station stars, which charlie would have known about if he continued to follow giulia. after everything that happened between them, he did his best to block her out, but fate loved to see him squirm. “fuck,” he breathed out when the two of them made eye contact. charlie should have just run, but he was frozen. “fuck.”

[ closed starter; @waterblossoms ] charlie was just texting cara back about their plans for dinner the following night. he definitely wasn’t expecting giulia to visit him at work -- nor was he expecting a kiss that tasted like alcohol from her. he stood alone in the break room, frozen to the core and unable to process what just happened. but giulia had slipped out after apologizing, and charlie knew he had to go after her. right? he had to figure out what was going on. was she just teasing him? if so, that’s just... cruel. charlie finally slammed back down to earth and ran out of the bakery without saying a word to his coworkers. his brain was fairly scrambled, to say the least. he caught sight of giulia’s long hair as she slipped around the corner, his long legs catching up in no time. “giulia, wait--”

as he stood in front of her, charlie lost all knowledge of the english language. all he could think of how she kissed her, and how it was probably one stupid joke. his mouth felt a little dry, and his chest seized up a little. “what was that?” he asked quietly, terrified of what the answer was. “why did you do that?”
