Like, we've all known for a while that Blitzø has feelings for Stolas but right until this point he's NEVER admitted them! Not even to himself! Something about his words hit her harder than she wanted to admit. She has the strongest urge to just get up and leave, and she’s fighting her every instinct on it, not wanting to be labeled melodramatic. Why was he suddenly downplaying her friendships? Why was he being so.. so mean? Because she was worried about causing problems for him? Because she cared about him? Isn’t that what friends were meant to do?? She doesn’t even bother looking at him, just stares off into the distance, suddenly wishing she had spent the night with Minx. How had she gotten this so wrong? “Okay. Um. I don’t know what I said or… or did… and I’m still kinda drunk… So I’m.. I’m gonna go…”

By the time Kennedy had made it safely to her room, she expected to be sobering up a little. But there was no such luck, and instead she found herself with the same bottle she had been cuddling in the quad. “SHHHH PerCY YoU ‘aVE to beeee quiet or yOU’lL wake ROOOBY.” She whisper hisses… to Ruby as she shuts her door (not before staring longingly across the hall). Her body slides against her door frame, groaning as Ruby comes to nuzzle against her.

You would hope when you’re drunk like this someone would take your phone from you to stop you from saying something stupid, or even worse doing something stupid. Kennedy had no such luck. She hesitates on their text thread, the night coming back to her in a blur. She can’t sleep like this, her mind swirling with thoughts, her body feeling weirdly foreign to herself.

DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT THIS MEANS???

Both Crowley and Aziraphale were fully aware that "A Nightingale Sang in Berkley Square" was playing while they were at the Ritz

That song holds enough significance for them that Crowley will bring it up in this conversation knowing that Aziraphale will understand what he's saying

They were aware that there was a nightingale singing when they were at the Ritz

They understand the significance of the nightingale in the song and therefore the significance of the actual nightingale and what that represents in their relationship

What Crowley is effectively saying here is "Remember when we were dining at the Ritz? And the song playing in the back was a song about a nightingale singing in Berkley Square while two angels fall in love while dining at the Ritz? And remember that there was an actual nightingale singing in the square when we were there? Well, there aren't any nightingales here."

I'm going to cry

It's their song and they both know that it's their song!

Extra point: A Nightingale Sang in Berkley Square played as soon as Crowley got in the car, and he was hoping he and Aziraphale would spend some alone time at the Ritz, so did Crowley have it set up to play on the way there???
