Remember when I said was starting to really want to get a cat? But that I really shouldn't have a cat right now?

Anyway, I have a cat now.

It wasn't really planned. My boss had him, but he had other cats too, and this guy is a one-cat-per-house kinda guy, so he was terrorizing the others. The only choices were me taking him or him having to go to a shelter, so in other words it wasn't a choice at all.

Meet Frito:

I just got him today and while he was a little nervous at first and hiding under the couch, it didn't take him too long to come out of his shell.

I'm glad I've been dragging my feet about clearing out Elizabeth's stuff, because I was able to give her favorite blanket to another worthy recipient. He really seems to like it and took a nice long nap on it.

I'd call this good progress after less than a day here. My boss told me he's a total snuggle bug and he wasn't kidding.

Bonus: if I fits, I sits.

And he's so vocal! He's not loud, but he sure sings the song of his people with gusto.

So yeah, I have a cat now.
