Doctor Who finale was something. Who the Stardew Bachelor(ettes) think Mrs. Flood is?

Literally me the entire episode. It was good in some ways, very much felt like a Russel T Davies early finale, like the TenRose finale, meh. Yknow. I don't actually know how to connect this to Stardew Valley, umm who the Stardew bachelors think Mrs Flood is?

Sebastian: Strong River Song fan so hoping for an Alex Kingston cameo, so just hoping for mrs Flood to be River and regenerate back into Alex Kingston. (I'm projecting)

Maru: thinks it's Clara, "clever boy" and the outfit in the finale, thinking logically but confined to the finale me thinks.

Shane: Rani, no further comment.

Abigail: Master, just wants the master back (projecting again)

Sam: took the message of the episode to heart, she is just a neighbour, we give her power because we want her to be mysterious

Penny: Could not care less, she's just happy to be here.

Emily: subscribes to the in a tv show theory, still, in denial, thinks mrs flood is the TV?

Haley: she needs it to be River Song

Alex: another god. thought how the god storyline ended was mid, it needs more, again I'm projecting with this one.

LONELINESS

On this day, I enjoyed an Anchor Steam beer and watched  big buzz bee, little bee, humming bird and Buckeye butterfly visit the Loquat tree, who now flowers.

We talked to Jennifer re: “The Bachelor” TV show last night.

Jim enters the garage and pulls out a box not opened in 20 years.

It contained a bisque pig Pat S’s Dad and brother made,

 It also contained  a pencil box Jim bought at the dime store when he was eight or so. It was complete with drawers and designer pencils. 

The box also contained  Blue and Red county fair ribbons 

and a  metal light house Jim’s grandmother’s best friend left to Jim.

Note:

Jim was my partner of 12 years until his death in 2009. He owned a home in San Fransisco when I met him. He sold it and moved along with his things to my house in Modesto.

This included the box that he had not opened for 20 years.

“The Bachelor” was a reality Tv show in which one man chose his bride to be from a group of young women who vied for his attention.

Jennifer was a close friend of Jim and I.

Okay, I finally decided to get all my thoughts about 2015 RTC (14/02/2015) into a sort of comprehensive, semi chronological list.

. We already had a Tragic Fact recording, but it's nice to have options. Also they REALLY want you to know they'll be damned if they're working at the mall

. I love Sarah Jane Peltzer's voice

. U.R.A.N.I.U.M is nice, but, God it's hard to hear the lyrics

. According to Kholby, Noel canonically would've written "bisexual werewolf stories", and I just think Noel's terrible writing should be focused on more in fanworks

. Noel's Lament is essentially the same, but it was the version where Monique has a kid. I get why they cut it

. Ocean's dad being left-wing and her mum being right-wing makes for a really interesting conflict, and contextualises "Some of us are left-wing, some of us are right wing..."

. The full version of Play To Win is so different to how imagined it. (And pretty ableist, so yikes) Very catchy though. And I love Rielle Braid.

. Tbh I understand why the crowd loved Play To Win so much.

. As an avid Ocean fan, I really enjoy Brooke Maxwell's whole speech about her character.

. I'd love to see a woman play Mischa in an actual production, however...

. No "take a look baby, he's the real ka-ching"?

. Let me tell you, I was jumping for joy when Small Things Become Big Things started playing. Well, more accurately, I was so happy I could have jumped for joy but I was saving my energy for other matters.

. References aside, STBBT was almost exactly how I expected it to be, although it was slightly short

. "Once I saw a homeless person eat a raccoon" I love Elliot Loran.

. "Okay, I'm totally having a nervous breakdown right now and I'm going to go grab a beer, and you guys should go grab a beer cause it's intermission" I. Love. Elliot. Loran!

. Early Space Age Bachelor Man was somehow even crazier, also, is it bad that I prefer "Their generals are on holiday, Oh Ricky Potts, what should we do?" to the current one?

. "I spent a lot of time staring at other people's skin and wishing it was my skin" I also love Sarah Jane Peltzer.

. The early Ballad was a lot more on the nose than the current one. Special shout-out to the lyrics: "At the end of the day we're just dead" and "It must be nice, To have a body attached to their head"

My neighbor (who is a white, German American guy) is married to a native "Filipina" woman who was raised in a remote province in the Philippines as I was... and it's so refreshing to see his 6 year old "American" kids think differently from their (brainwashed/programmed) peers.

Like, for example, if you offer them candy or any sort of dessert, they would ask "does it have high fructose corn syrup?"

And me, being the daughter and grand-daughter of TRIBAL teachers in the Philippines, I asked her back: "what IS fructose corn syrup?" (I know what it is fyi, I'm just trying to engage).... to which she replied, "it's fake sugar and bad for your body." And they are the same way with television shows and books they're exposed to. And they are only 6. They remind me of how I was raised by my mom and grandma.

Most Americans like to downplay knowledge/wisdom (and when Americans do hype up "learning," it's usually in the name of EGO, i.e. "I'm better than you cause I'm educated")... And yall can excuse the shit and say, "because most Americans are in poverty" but my mom and dad literally lived in poverty in the Philippines? My dad was a squatter/homeless man in the Philippines before he became a custodian/chef for the US Navy. He was born in 1933 and my mom in 1944.... My mom was raised by a single mom of 10 kids IN THE MOUNTAINS where there were no libraries or easy access to food... My dad was literally a "war baby". He witnessed World War 2 at age 10.

Yet they both raised me in a household where we were exposed to the most complex and inter-cultural sorts of science, history, art, etc. AND IT NOT BECAUSE OF PRIVILEGE (I went to an "international school" in PI as a child around RICH European, Chinese, and Korean settlers) . My mom made sure to tell us everyday how poor they were growing up (she and my dad worked hard to save up US$89 a year to pay our tuition fee every year in the 90s).... but the reason why I am the way I am today is because they CHOSE to EXPOSE US to different cultures and knowledges due to the hardships they themselves faced growing up.

But most Americans OF ALL COLOR always TAKE THE EASY WAY OUT. And honestly, when my family moved to California when I was 13 (I am 38 now), I saw just how insecure and willfully stupid American kids are. That's why American public school is, to this day, the breeding ground for WILLFUL IGNORANCE. American kids GROW UP TO BE BULLIES.

And I'm not saying this in a condescending manner. I am saying this because it's in COLONIAL cultures like America that BREEDS the type of thinking that "critical thinking" is bad and "being a hard worker" is good.

I have been in this shitty job for 1 year now and I still cannot answer the phones (because I don’t have the program that creates the reports, which is the only thing people really call for) cause they refuse to install it and won’t train me, but constantly complain that I don’t do enough :3

It’s like giving someone a car with no keys or gas and getting mad that they can’t drive it.

This also means it’s been 1 year since my Great First day, in which I was stuck sitting in a hallway for almost 3 hours because I didn’t know what room I’d be working in. My boss, in her endless wisdom, did give me a phone number. Problem was that it was her office number and she does not show up till she feels like it. I called HR and they also only had her office number. So I just sat. And waited. Till finally someone from my office approached and asked who I was. Almost 3 hours later. Great times.

That first day really set the tone of this place 👍

So, I found a VERY old notebook of mine while looking for my ipod, and aside from multiple good-bye letters (take that as you will), I also found out that I started binding at age 13 (March of 2015, if I can read my own handwriting. I hadn't turned 14 yet).

Idk why I'm sharing this but I was staring at my notebook like... Huh... Maybe 14 year old me wouldn't actually be all that shocked by who I am today.
