hello! id like to know how much was a part of your character, and how much was real! because the game itself was fake and youve said yourself you were playing a part, but your life as a piano player still seems to be real, right? sorry if this doesnt make too much sense, aha!

“Ah, thank you so much for asking~! It makes me happy to think that people are so interested in my character as just that! Let’s call my character ‘Kae’, just for this instance, so there’s no confusion, alright? I bet she’d like that kind of nickname. No bad memories attached to it.”

“There are a lot of similarities, as unlikely as that might seem, between me and Kae. We’ve both played piano as long as we can remember. I had to actually have a talent I was good at, otherwise, what would I have done if someone asked me to showcase my talent? We both got a lot of awards and won a lot of competitions. We both used to go to a school named Shining Star International. Some of my favorite songs were her favorite songs, but there was a bit of a divide between us on that, as well. All my friendships with everyone were genuine. If I ever chose to hang out with someone, it wasn’t for plot reasons. It was because I legitimately wanted to talk to them. It caused way more despair in the end, that way!“

“What was different between us? Well, for starters, Kae had an amazing home life! Supportive, encouraging parents who helped her along in a career and a passion that she chose for herself. My parents chose my career and did everything in their power to make sure I didn’t stray from it. Kae always stays optimistic, even in the worst kind of situations. She was a pretty good embodiment of hope, which was why it was such a shock that I turned out to be the one causing so much despair! On a less serious note, she actually thinks these clothes are nice.“ Kaede scoffed, tugging at her skirt. “Kae died when she was ‘executed’. That persona and character died the moment I was tugged away. But the execution was fake. I’m still here~!”

Kae has people that love her. That’s another thing that’s different, she thought to herself.
