oh yeah, lol, i shipped mileven first before becoming a byler. they were really cute, what can i say? i shipped them in like season 1 mostly and maybe a bit in s2? (that snowball scene was really cute). i said maybe because s2 mainly focused on mike and will, mike and max, then el and hopper

it completely fell off in season 3 because it made me realize like oh yeah this is the typical middle school relationship right there from the way they spend almost EVERY SCREEN TIME just kissing because that's what the media shows you, boyfriends and girlfriends kiss each other a lot, up to their whole breakup scenario. it's literally the typical middle school relationship people have, I had this relationship lol and also i felt bad for will in season 3 because all he wants is to spend time with his friends and play DnD again just like the old times because i don't remember (correct me if i'm wrong) them playing DnD after will got back from the upside down? imagine just wanting to play that special game again, maybe even for comfort, but your friends are too busy with their girlfriends (which okay, your friends don't ALWAYS have to prioritize you because you all have your own lives) and it's making you feel very left out. then when they do finally play with you, they make fun of you? that shit will hurt a lot, yk. then there's the rain fight and mike saying that one thing connected to that one part of you you always suppressed because you got bullied for it

(as you can see, i have a lot of feelings for season 3. i still love it tho)

then season 4 just completely killed whatever small wriggling thing inside me still ships mileven. it was uncomfortable and every part of their relationship at that time was just built on lies with el making false stories in her letters to ensure mike wouldn't find out she wasn't having the teenage dream highschool in lenora and actually the opposite, even continuing on it when they see each other again. it just showed that they—mike and eleven—don't know each other at all (at least not as much as mike and will) because mike didn't even notice or suspected el might be lying. then there's the thing with mike unable to say i love you. like i get the thing with being raised in a household where saying i love you isn't exactly the norm (i get it, really i have the same household) and i get it nancy is the exact same way so it checks out but yk what mileven reminds me? STANCY. yk that one ship that sank because nancy didn't actually love steve (at least, not from what i've seen), the parallels with stancy and mileven are crazy

anyways, there are so many ways mike could've SHOWN that he loves el. so many ways and he did none of them. like with nancy and jonathan, from what i remember, nancy has never said i love you to him but she showed it. why couldn't mike do the same? because he doesn't love el. at least, not in the way he should as a boyfriend who apparently started loving her the moment he saw her in the woods (which, let's be honest, is total bull)

I am Habib from Gaza. I am married and have four children: Menna, 12 years old, Adam, 10 years old (suffering from quadriplegia), Maria, 6 years old, and Ezz, one year old. Although they are young, they have survived previous wars, but this current war is the most difficult of all. This is a war of genocide, and the difficulty of the war lies in the inability to meet the needs of my son Adam, who needs special care.

Over the past ten months, we have been caught in the crossfire of the ongoing conflict in Gaza. Our once peaceful home in Khan Yunis has been reduced to rubble, and now we find ourselves displaced in Deir al-Balah, living in squalid conditions in a makeshift tent on the streets. The devastation not only deprived us of our physical shelter, but also destroyed my livelihood - the once thriving business that supported our family's well-being, is now in ruins. The daily struggle for survival is exacerbated by the scarcity of basic necessities such as clean water, adequate sanitation and basic medical supplies

Our home was the place where we found hope and safety, and where we made precious memories. Losing him was like losing years of our lives.

Not only that, they destroyed my source of livelihood, burned it, and demolished it with bulldozers, and today I am without a home and without a job. I was working in a store I owned that met the needs and expenses of my family

Living in tents is miserable. There is a lack of drinking water, hot sun rays, and strange insects that have terrified my children. What hurts me most is my young son Ezz, who I see growing up in an unclean environment and with no healthy food for him. I believe he has not received his right to life.

At this stage, my husband and I decided to go to you and create an account on the Go Fund Me website and ask you to help us in these difficult times until we get out of Gaza, from the land of war to the land of peace. All we need from you is to support us and help us to get out of the war, even if you cannot help. You should spread the word. This campaign is everywhere and among your friends. The amount that will be collected from this campaign :

We will spend it by paying the amount to coordinate entry through the Rafah land crossing, which connects Gaza to the State of Egypt, since, as I mentioned, they charge an adult $5,000, but depending on the pressures, crises, and waiting, the amount may reach $7,000 per person, and children $2,500 to $4,000.

We will also use it for the rest of the travel and safe transportation expenses to provide for all family members.

Why do you need your earbuds to have a wire so badly?

I am assuming this is about a post I reblogged like six months ago when I went off on forced technological enshitification and the slow erosion of consumer options. But sure, I'll bite.

Why do I "need" my earbuds to have a wire? I dunno, Anon, maybe I:

Don't want to have to worry about recharging my earbuds.

Don't want my earbuds to be even easier to lose.

Don't want my earbuds to need separate accessories that are as easy to lose as the earbuds.

Prefer to have bluetooth turned off on my devices for security and safety reasons.

Like being able to seamlessly plug my earbuds into my computer, my MP3 player, or any other device with a headphone jack.

Don't want to spend 50 dollars on decent wireless earbuds when I can do all the above things with a pair of solid earbuds that cost me like $12 during the Obama administration.

Don't care about what kinds of headphones or earbuds people wear but don't like what it says about our society when other people apparently care what kind of earbuds I'm wearing so much they have send an Anonymous ask to interrogate me about it.

And I guess, more abstractly, because fuck Apple. That's why.
