What year are you as a biopsych student? And exactly where are you getting your information from? A lot of your posts sound purely anecdotal that are being generalized and presented as empirical information. I’m just very confused. Some things on your blog are perfectly fine and supported, but others are questionable.

I don’t really feel like I need to answer that to... prove myself to a stranger on the internet - but I’ll answer anyway. I’m in my last year. And my information comes from my classes, ( and when I make diagrams i fact check that by looking through the NHS website symptoms and then researching studies into each symptom that isn’t on there ).

Some of my posts are purely anecdotal - because like a lot of people with ADHD I’m not great at empathising without talking about my own experiences 😂 And I guess it can come across as just me generalising my own experiences, because I’m not... a doctor. I don’t coldly explain symptoms, I say “we”, and talk about how things feel on a personal level to help people understand, because I’m just a person with ADHD who’s also experiencing these symptoms.

And I don’t always put sources for things because I’ve learned them from my classes, so putting sources would mean that I’d have to go online and do a google search for things about it. And I love y’all, but I really don’t have the energy to do that each time I answer a question. So if you guys want to learn more about it, you’re absolutely welcome to do that google search yourselves! You’re also absolutely welcome to not follow me if you’re not interested in the things I’m saying.

sorry, i know this isn't s'posed to be an advice blog, but it's tough to find aspd stuff that isn't just edgy as fuck (tm) and i was hoping you might be able to help me out a bit? lately i've been untangling some stuff that i think might be aspd, but i'm not sure how to tell. i've never done lawbreaking or (acted on) impulsiveness (much), but i relate a lot to many of the other symptoms, and i was wondering if you knew of any good resources that might help me work this out?

that’s what i thought about that driver’s test too because here almost everyone failed it like 4 times and they were extremely impressed because i made a perfect score the first time but like i took it 15 years ago so i couldnt remember the actual questions but i swore it wasnt that easy... still thought the post was funny tho

I'll never forget everyone telling me it's just common sense then I go to take it and every question is like that and the ones I thought I actually WOULD get right I didn't! like the stupid seatbelt one. silly me thinking everyone in the car had to be buckled like the millions of billboards and commercials tell us no no I'M the idiot for thinking that -_-

ok your post made me think: have you seen requiem for a dream and what is your opinion? bc i’ll be honest the reason i dont like most horror movies is bc i dont find them scary or unsettling at all but aronofsky’s films i find VERY unsettling and “scary”...

maybe not in the context of normal fear but they make me increasingly uncomfortable and they stick with me, i think esp so with requiem for a dream bc i was a drug addict so those thematic elements in relation to drug addiction really speak to me.

i do appreciate requiem for a dream in that it depicts horrors of addiction in a way that (from my opinion as someone who has never gone through what those characters do/acknowledging the dated aspects of the film) still treats them with humanity and gives them nuance while showing how scary those experiences can be; it’s not one that i rewatch frequently but i think it’s one that is worth viewing as part of a horror canon

is it okay to just go back and return an item you don’t want to its original place??? unless i can’t handle walking back somewhere (then i give it to the cashier), that’s what i’ve always done

If you know for sure that it’s where it goes, then YES that’s totally fine! If you’re not sure, PLEASE bring it to the cashier or another employee- that way everything’s in the right place at the end of the day. But putting it back if you know where it belongs is totally cool! Just not in some random ass place!

i have done exactly what that post explains too but when applying for an apartment. i have had some legal problems (been arrested but was suddenly let go to the hospital instead of taken to jail, charged with a DUI but it was dropped) and did do illegal things as a drug addict but i have no criminal record. yet i kept worrying the entire time it’d come back and say like, i had been convicted of homicide. like maybe i was secretly a serial killer and i just didn’t know.
