Not related to this blog.if u dont knw the problem.. I will explain..it is smthng that key and taemin talk and teased about shinees minho's skin tone..but knetizens were criticized them for talking like this..

I really thought koreans didint have tanned skin...I mean evryone knw what is a korean skin..fair and glowing skin...and korea is well known for the mistreatment and bullying towards being ugly and not having a fair skin tone...but even if its same group members joking about sensitive matters like this is kinda crossing boundaries...but what amazes me is that knetizens talked about it and made a voice against this which eventually leads them to apologize.(also minho have a strong fanbase too)... however that's smthng I appreciate as a person...nd beauty is not about just skin tone ..u knw...

I didn't know kfans accused Key and Taemin, I know Minho's fans asked him to use sunscreen and that ifans made a fuss about the jokes.

I'm on the fence on the matters like that. I think noone is to dictate to members of a group how they should joke with their friends. It is their business. Even if a member is hurt by the words, it is his job to talk back and set boundaries or develop antifragility. Fans are outsiders. Shinee members are like what, 30+? All have returned from the military? And highschoolers tell them what to do as if they are pre-schoolers? If Minho doesn't use strong sunscreen despite the jokes and the beauty standarts in his country, it means he doesn't care. His friends apologised because of the idol image and the need to please the fanbase. Which never sits right with me.

Fans are very picky and unfair. Doyoung didn't like the comparison with the bunny originally, noone thought to "defend" him. Fans continued to use the animal. Eventually he had to accept it and rationalise (which helped him to grow up).

I agree that it's nice and right when people with influence set a positive example, get rid of some outdated cultural norms, rethink their flawed habits. However, the discussion and awareness shouldn't come in the form of a public backlash and pressure to apologise.

Everyone tans. Dark skinned people as well.
