CHÂTEAU DE CLAGNY Last Part - Interiors
Finally the last part of Château de Clagny! :) I love 17th century France, Versailles and the incredible court of French kings. I intend to do more constructions from this period in the future, but my next post will undoubtedly be something much smaller :P

CHÂTEAU DE CLAGNY (WIP) Part 6 - Interiors
Cabinet
Petit Cabinet
Chambre du Roi
On the Clagny floor plan there are two "chambres de parade", but there is no indication of who would occupy them. One of them, obviously, must have been for Madame de Montespan. The other, I believe was for the king, although I have found no record that Louis XIV actually slept there (which does not exclude the possibility). Due to the dimensions of my version of Clagny, I chose to make the king's room as a "chambre à coucher" instead of a "chambre de parade" with the balustrade.

CHÂTEAU DE CLAGNY (WIP) Part 2 - Interiors
There are no known images (at least, I haven't found it on the internet) of Clagny's interiors, with the exception of the Grande Galerie, the Chapelle and Madame de Montespan's bathroom. I've been told that Clagny, in relation to The Sims, would be like a "blank canvas". So I'm trying to let my imagination flow. My version of Clagny will obviously not be like the original, but rather how I would like it to be… Inspired, of course, by the baroque decoration of French palaces from that period.
Le Grand Salon or Grand Vestibule:
It was the main entrance and was in the center of the château. From this room, one could proceed to the adjacent rooms to the right or left, or simply go out into the gardens.
Salle des Porcelaines:
To the right of the large hall, I joined two rooms that originally existed and created a kind of gallery, but I didn't want to simply decorate it with paintings or tapestries, so I remembered the Porcelain Trianon and filled this gallery with chinoiserie, as if it were a private collection by Madame de Montespan.
Thanks to @labuenosairesfrancaise, @reboniroyalsims and @thegoldensanctuary (and the wonderful conversations I have with each of them) and also to so many other creators and their beautiful CC.

CHÂTEAU DE CLAGNY (WIP) Part 3 - Interiors
I continue with Clagny's interior decoration work. Here are three more rooms…
Left Wing Vestibule:
I made the walls of this vestibule inspired by the marbles of the Escalier des Ambassadeurs, which existed in the Château de Versailles and which was destroyed during the reign of Louis XV.
Salon d'Argent:
To the left of the vestibule is the Silver Hall. I imagined that this room, all decorated in marble, mirrors and silver objects, could be used as a passage galerie or as a small ballroom.
The Music Room:
Crossing the Salon d'Argent, you reach the Music Room. I usually search the internet for a wide variety of antique objects (from different creators) and, sometimes, I spend many hours recoloring the furniture so that they match each other or so that they look as close to what I imagine.
Thank you to @labuenosairesfrancaise, @reboniroyalsims and @thegoldensanctuary (and the wonderful conversations I have with each of them) and also to so many other creators and their beautiful CC. An honorable mention to @themarblemortal, who in my last post, mentioned the beautiful marble floors he made! :)

CHÂTEAU DE CLAGNY (WIP) Part 5 - Interiors
Première Antichambre
To the left of the Grand Vestibule, you can enter the first antechamber, one of Clagny's several reception rooms
Deuxième Antichambre
Salle à Manger
After the second antechamber is the dining room. In the 17th century, the term "salle à manger" was not widely used. Instead, palaces and châteaux of the time were designed with multiple rooms and multifunctional spaces that were used for dining, entertaining, and receptions. I gave it this name just to make it easier to identify its function.
Thanks to @labuenosairesfrancaise, @reboniroyalsims and @thegoldensanctuary (and the wonderful conversations I have with each of them) and also to so many other creators and their beautiful CC.
