We are delighted to announce our fifth participation at Art X Lagos, West Africa's leading international art fair, from 4 - 6 November at The Federal Palace, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.

This edition we highlight 5 in-demand and emerging artists: Megan Gabrielle Harris, Oliver Okolo, Opeyemi Matthew Olukotun, Daniel Onguene and Moustapha Baidi Oumarou.

Per Out of Africa Gallery, this artist is known for his fusion of surrealist and realist influences in full-body depictions of sapeurs (adherents of subcultural movement evoking elegance in style and manners of colonial predecessor dandies). Bodo uses his allegorical portraits (involving anthropomorphic animals) “to articulate the aspirations of Congolese youth, whose ambitions belie their material circumstances”.
