You quietly waited for the man you called your lover, hoping he could explain to you why he had been acting so weird for the past few days. You didn't mind... You would accept him no matter what, but you just wished he would've told you sooner. It wasn't anything serious enough to break up over, but it did irk you a little. "Y/N..." You heard Toushirou Hijikata say, his voice was, for a lack of a better word, rather pathetic sounding. It was similar in the tone he gave when you refused to let him leave the house at 3 am to get another pack of cigarettes. The next few words shocked you the most. "I need a hug."

Your eyes widened and you took pity on the other, moving so your arms were around him and his head could rest on your shoulder. The two of you stayed like that for a good few minutes before he pulled back with a heavy sigh, admitting to you what had been going on.

"A cursed sword?" You bit your lip, desperately trying to stifle the giggle that threatened to emerge.

"Yes... I know it sounds stupid, but-"

"I believe you, I just think it's a bit ironic. I'm glad you're back to normal, though... Do you want another hug?" He flashed a quick and small smile with a nod, gladly accepting the hug.
