A Positive Day

Some things I like about myself: (i) ...actively look for a good interpretation of people's actions. (ii) ...don't always mind making a fool of myself. (iii) ...strive for precise expression, but I've gotten less anal about it the past few years. (iv) ...usually willing to push my body a little bit more, yet stop before I go so far as to damage myself. (v) My calves feel sculpted from titanium.

When I first heard this decades ago (thank you, @effyeah-artandfilm) I thought I might have died, and gone to either of heaven or hell. I finally figured out why this morning. Before the final verse, there's a space created where the guitar could explore its feedback in depth, but chose not to. The sound had me thinking I was in heaven, the brevity that I was in hell. Back when I was a stupid kid getting high all the time, I suffered from Cotard's Illusion a lot. I blame the catholic upbringing.

effyeah-artandfilm and I have a project of watching all of them in order, and it's just bizarre that Bottle Rocket is excluded. So far it's been funny, exciting, heartbreaking, thoughtful, heartwarming, and holy fuck raising the bar on cinematography.
