Mio Mao is an Italian, later British, claymation cartoon created by Francesco Misseri about two kittens meeting random animals. There is no real dialogue aside from the Pingu style gibberish coming from the characters (except the second and third series, which included narration). The first series originally aired in Italy sometime in 1974. Fifty years later, the show would be remembered most for its catchy theme song, which was composed by Piero Barbetti and went viral after a sped up version was posted online (similar to Caramelldansen).

Inventos y costumbres - La barba

El texto, con un tono humorístico, relata la historia ficticia y extravagante de la barba, atribuyendo su origen a diversas teorías absurdas y personajes ficticios. Según Lorenzo de Fandergut, las primeras barbas fueron fabricadas con corteza de eucalipto en la época celtíbera como protección contra los vientos. Teodoro Macarrón propone que la barba es una floración natural que filtra alimentos, mientras que Linneo, erróneamente, la define como un artrópodo.

En su evolución, la barba pasa por distintas fases: desde artesanías rudimentarias de cáñamo en el siglo IX hasta las pesadas barbas de hierro creadas por Barbetti, que posteriormente fueron perfeccionadas con materiales ligeros como seda o yute bajo el sultanato de Efrahím III. Finalmente, en 1785, Moldeberg logra que la barba crezca naturalmente en la barbilla, consolidando su popularidad.

El relato concluye destacando las dificultades y transformaciones de la barba hasta convertirse en un elemento cotidiano.
