also i decided against going on a full blown tangent on the tags of that post i reblogged earlier but whether or not "vote with your wallet" is a sentiment that actually works in the long run, i still don't have any sympathy for people who continue to buy pokemon games in 2022 at full price near release and then get upset when they turn out to be horribly broken, unfinished, and unoptimized or justify their purchase with "it's my comfort game :( i just want to enjoy pokemon because i love pokemon" because these games have very visibly been on a steep decline since XY and USUM completely shattered any illusions i had that these games would be good ever again, and seeing how SWSH turned out with all of its corner-cutting and lack of care and attention that should not be acceptable from a franchise that rakes in billions upon billions annually just cemented this decision for me.

the amount of people i saw just prior to release who were legitimately fucking disappointed with all the leaked footage they'd been seeing yet still left work early or took the day off to buy it at full price and play it is actually shocking to me, and i can't imagine having so little self respect that you can justify dropping money on these games time and time again when we're now at the point where the crunch at game freak and third party developers working on these games has gotten so severe that we're seeing day 1 patches not only for bugfixes that they had no time to iron out during development, but to implement basic fucking assets like the opening cutscene and certain tracks in the case of BDSP--and this is allowed to happen because the hype and marketing around these games is so strong that the actual quality doesn't matter, so long as the sales numbers continue to top charts each year and all the tie-in series and merch make them more money than the entire income of a small country year after year while their developers continue to get dragged by the shirt across concrete to pump out another new game until they die.

what i'm saying is, unironically please spend your fucking money on something else, pokemon is not worth it anymore

having reblogged a few posts about the imane khelif situation in the past few days I want to clarify what I actually think about it... I haven’t looked into the situation much because I’m sick of this whole gender debate at this point and so I’m not entirely sure about the specifics of her condition and think whether she should compete against women depends entirely on that. I don’t think merely having naturally elevated testosterone levels should disqualify a woman from competing against other women for example and neither should having XY chromosomes alone tbh because even that doesn’t guarantee much about someone’s phenotypical sex. but obviously a line has to be drawn somewhere, and if a woman is determined to be biologically closer to male than female and/or assigned the wrong sex or something then yeah, I think for her to compete against people who are female would be against the whole spirit of having sex-segregated sports in the first place. but also imagine how difficult it must to be to be raised as female, probably struggle your whole life with being “too” masculine, not fitting in with your gender, possibly what would be perceived as same sex attraction, etc., and then think you found something you’re really good at, maybe even the best at, and dedicate your life to it—only to be told it never mattered, you can’t ever get credit for it, you aren’t even actually nearly as good as you thought, you were just competing against the wrong sex this whole time! and like that wasn’t enough, your medical information becomes a matter of public debate, your personal situation is politicised, and all the anger towards narcissistic paraphiliac men wreaking havoc on women’s sports gets redirected towards you. it must be such a mindfuck. so I’m just really sympathetic towards khelif’s situation and it’s really disappointing to see the lack of empathy towards her from so-called feminists. like jk rowling’s tweet is just insane. let’s all consider apologising to khelif and calming the fuck down…

Episode 10. Husband laugh his ass off

Things like “Lan Zhan, hold my sword” and “Lan Zhan, use your iron” made him scream and I hadn’t laugh at such stupid things the time I watched alone. Wtf Husband is twelve???

WWX ransacking XY and Husband was like “Reputation? Already gay reputation.”

Husband about XXC and XY: “Enemies AND lovers.” (I’m sad for him in anticipation abt Yi City arc)

XY says “Don’t forget me” to XXC and Husband just: “I said, I knew it!”

Husband: Everyone but Jiang Cheng is gay here.

Me: He met Wen Qing just for a moment in the Novel. This whole thing with her doesn’t exist there and in the donghua.

Husband: So he’s really gay with the little brother with a fan... The couple that didn’t got the rooster.

Suddenly, a wild Nie Mingjue appears on screen.

Husband: THE MUSTACHE!!! \o/

Husband will be disappointed when he watches the donghua and sees no mustache.

Proud of him being smart enough to figure out abt XueXiao and 3zun so easily kjsjkskskjjks

Important note: He found NOTHING abt SL and XXC, just friends who cultivate together, not even a hint of romance, sexual tension, etc. Proud of him for this too.

I knew this episode would worth it.

I agree with you about David and I’ve been mad for a while but right now I don’t care anymore as long as he’s happy tbh... however, I was wondering how much older his gf is than West. Is it 6 years? I love your blog and I hope you continue to be this amazing part of the fandom. Your reblogs always brighten my day.

People who know me will know that I'm pretty sensitive about this topic. I'm not a fan. You're right though. Neither of them is my friend or my family so it doesn't concern me. It just disappoints me - and not just because it's David. There are so many men (and a lot of women, too, though not as much) who date so much younger. I know they're all adults, but... it just gets to me.

It's so normal for men to be 20 and 30 years older than their partners and it's become so normal for women to be downright discarded once they pass 40. Do you know the statistics for women dating 40+? Hell, for trying to find a *job* in their 40s and 50s? They're not good. What also bothers me is how these relationships are described. It's always "xy and his super hot girlfriend". a) she has a name, and b) I'm sure she's more than just super hot. Though it seems to me that in most of these huge age gap relationships the younger person is "an aspiring singer/actor/model".

It's a complex subject and I didn't mean to get so off topic. I'm still not over the fact that Bernie Ecclestone had a baby with his 40+ younger wife - and he's 89 years old.

As for your actual question, it's 6 years between West and DD's girlfriend 😁

I dropped the Pokémon anime again. The XY series was a huge disappointment to me so as the SM series is being boring and uninteresting to me too. Anyway, if you are one of the few pokeani blogs that follow me for pokeani related stuff you can unfollow me, I will not be angry, I just don't have the will to reblog or post about the newest pokeani stuff.
