I love how many episodes of Voltron are just Shiro discovering new flavors and varieties of “worst day of his life this week”

S1 finale/ first ep of s2 has to be one of his worst days ever (and he has a lot of worst days)

>infiltrating the Galra station and they get found out bc he is recognized as a prisoner

> Allura flings him into the ship and he escapes but she gets captured

> coran blames him (and apologizes)

> he blames himself

> terrible attack plan but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

> gets in psychic battle with zarkon

>loses

> spat out by black lion (already has insecurities about that)

>battle going badly bc Zarkon has bayard instead of Shiro

> jet pack breaks

> has to fight his way through ship

> fights Haggar and hallucinations of himself

>gets magic claw injury

> spat out by wormhole and crash lands

> giant predator animals attack him

> gets bitten and thrown off a cliff etc

> Keith can fly his lion too (saves his life but again insecurities)

> “how’s your wound?” “Getting bigger all the time 😜” (king of flop humor and downplaying terrible injury )

> has to give the “if I die…” speech to his little brother
