arabuccha isn't the warrior of light, but he's a learned and experienced black mage nonetheless. his aether is a little too umbrally aspected ever since he was young. it turns him into somewhat of a dubiously willing host to the void — he knows it's generally a losing battle anyway, so they try to maximize their strength and knowledge in an effort to survive. they come from a tribe of people that are heavily reliant on the words of their old gods, who frowned upon arabuccha's mere birth. every day is a battle between proving them right and proving them wrong.

xiv 'wol'verse —

still heavily under construction but i think the au is so fucking funny so i wanna talk ab it and write in it so i can figure out the plotholes but like. everything is as follows up above up until dawntrail when the real wol retires and arabuccha somehow manages to take their place bc they were the one who wanted to see tural first. just does identity theft. im the main character now. bjitch. like its SO FUNNY and dawntrail had a lot of moments that would fundamentally shake ara but theres so many plot holes dude

ok info also sparse here bc i need to check lore to make sure its consistent but essentially arabuccha suffers from an extreme form of protocore syndrome. it's slowly turning him into a wanderer. he's a bit of an eccentric scientist, a friend of nero's — he's doing all he can to find treatments and other things to keep his own transformation at bay, despite the fact that it feels like he loses more of himself by the day.
