Hi! I'm catching up again on Rakha's story (sorry for spamming you with likes..) and I just got to the duel against Orin and its aftermath and... (I had a tangent that doesn't fit, probably a good thing) I just got to the part where Withers joins them and I had to stop reading to say how much I LOVED the part "Were Rakha able to open her eyes, she would see a sensational show of light and color...But Wyll, watching, sees only that Withers twists his hand..." it is SO good

There was honey and sweet cheese on his tongue, but the pancake became like ash in his mouth as he tried to chew. Helen loved these. Staring at the rolled-up, partially eaten pancake in his hand, Menelaos saw not the food, but Helen's smile and dancing eyes as she practically drowned her pancakes in honey. He always had to fight her for them, down to the last one. When it was just them, he often finished breakfast by stealing some last crumbs and the sticky residue on her fingers by kissing them clean, but he hadn't been able to do that recently.

Because they'd had a guest.

And he might not in the future, either, because---

Hands shaking, Menelaos covered his face so he might at least spare his host and his wife. But while his sobs were quiet, they rang through him like waves breaking on the shore, thunderous and all-encompassing. Once he'd started, it seemed impossible to stop. When he finally managed, there was only Nestor beside him, and Menelaos was as thankful for that as the fact that Agamemnon wasn't here, for once. He might wish for his brother's steady presence and anger at his behalf, but Nestor's warm hand on his shoulder and his quiet, tight expression was in that moment a balm.

"I apologize," he muttered hoarsely, not so much ashamed of his tears as having made Nestor to suffer through it in his own home.

"You have been disrespected in a most grievous way, Menelaos," Nestor said, squeezing his shoulder. "The one which should have held you in highest regard has proven she doesn't, and now she's gone, having taken advantage of your trust. Anyone would be pained by that."

His heart lurched as Nestor's words, torn between wishing to defend his wife and the ache of realizing that the statement was true. She couldn't, not any longer at least, if she'd left.

(': the fic this WIP is a sequel to might not have people excited and I doubt this WIP will be a hit either, but I am still excited to write it out, both for the two chapters of Menelaos' POV and the rest I've planned for it!

Hey hey! :D And regarding favorite anime, oh boy, do I have a list of ones that I enjoy. Right now, I'm really liking My Hero Academia and Jujitsu Kaizen. AND I have not watched Haikyuu yet, it's actually next on my queue after the latest season of love is war, and death parade! Looking over the art, oh my gosh, you're kinda right.

My art style, at least as of late, is reminiscent of it. OH BOY. That's so cool! I usually find real life/anime/outfit/colorboards to make into a board from Pinterest for my characters.

That actually makes me more hyped for the show. THANK you for telling me this! It's getting me pumped to draw some of the stuff I have planned too. I was actually starting to lose my mojo for it, plus your compliment, aw, YOU'RE TOO SWEET. I still have A LOT to learn about anatomy, perspective, and fluidity of motions. BUT I APPRECIATE IT AND YOU!!
