Two Drifters | 3/3 Jeronica Secret Santa
@fangstomysweetpea oh my god.... its finally time!!!
The moment i’ve been aching for is finally here and i am HYPE
Happy Christmas my dear Tumblr-friend, I hope you enjoy this jeronica playlist/au/riverdale rewrite.
A couple things first, the descriptions on each song are just an outline as to whats happening in that moment/what the song calls for. Also, this is like a story, so its not really something you can play on shuffle lol. I’m confident you didn’t really need these “instructions” lmao, just want you to have a bomb-ass jeronica experience XDD
Also, you don’t have to “follow” the descriptions when you think them out, you can completely take the reigns too if you’d like!
So.... here ya go!!
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1MflcKtyBDRjnP0giX03X4?si=ZcsD0GfxR0KevhgDpTZVKQ
And here are the descriptions-
Oxford Comma-
Locking eyes for the first time… wow. Just- everything is in slow motion.
Baby Doll-
Slow dancing in Pop’s after the dance. (V goes to Pop’s instead of Archie)
Can I call you tonight?-
Jughead and Veronica’s moments of glee when they finally set up a date with each other. Veronica squeals and jumps up and down, Jughead punches the air, they both fall down on the bed with blissful looks on their faces. Two cinnamon rolls.
“So, I’ll call you tonight?”
“Yes! *Too enthusiastic- calm down Veronica* Yes. Call me tonight.”
*Que music*
Just Like a Movie-
Jughead calls this their theme song one day when they’re just hanging out in the student lounge as a joke.
Scrawny-
Veronica calls this Jughead’s theme song in response, they have a good laugh and Jughead rolls his eyes at the lyrics A LOT.
Space Girl-
Jughead calls this Veronica’s theme song- because she’s “oUt oF tHiS worLD!”.
She smacks his arm for being so cheesy.
Good Morning-
The morning after they do the “horizontal tango” with each other for the first time, they dance in Veronica’s kitchen, knowing all the words- only to be interrupted by an amused Hermione Lodge.
Unforgettable-
Their first Christmas together, spent snowed in at The Pembrooke. But honestly, they don’t mind.
Shake it out-
Jughead and Veronica cry together after her parents blackmail them/force them to break up. #parentssuck.
Your star-
Coping with the breakup, newsflash- they aren’t, or when they are... they don’t go the healthiest route. So. Much. Angst.
Rare-
Veronica changes up her style a little bit, which really is just lower cut tops, just trying to forget about Jughead- does a lil sexy performance singing to this at a pep rally.
Out the door-
Jughead never leaving the depressional stage of grief.
+ Exchanging broken looks that just scream “I’m not over you.”
I can’t get you off my mind-
Drunkenly hooking up at a party because their tension recently had just been… w o w
Drugs-
Sneaking around- sexy times ;)
Why Do You Love Me-
Having a screaming match, then a very angry/hot makeup session, then very angry sex XD
The Wind-
After some hOrIzOnTaL TaNGo at Sweetwater River, they admit that they can’t keep away from each other, saying that they love each other for the first time- followed by Veronica crying tears of joy cuz she’s never done that before- and that they’re going to work everything out, together. They just hold each other after that.
“I love you, Princess.”
Veronica props herself on her elbow to face him (they were laying down before)
Jughead sees her widened eyes. “Y-you don’t have to say it back, I know its ha-“
“I love you too, Jug”
You and I-
Montage of working at Pop’s for summer, ending with a jam sesh in Jughead’s trailer- Veronica just in his shirt and Jughead just in his sweats. FP comes in, surprised to see Veronica, but welcomes her easily. FP and Veronica bond, and he embarrasses Jug with some baby photos. While Jug’s probably beet-red, he can’t help but completely oggle at Veronica- happy that they don’t have to hide from his dad anymore.
Start a Riot-
Jeronica send a little message to Hiram through security cameras (they just make out lmao), showing that he can’t keep them apart. They then proceed to trash Hiram’s jingle jangle lab. :)
Moon River-
Slow dancing after having been crowned homecoming King and Queen. And of course, because Veronica is 1/2 of this relationship- this becomes their song.
“That’s us.”
“What do you mean?” Veronica asks, confused.
“The two drifters in the song. ‘Two drifters, off to see the world.’ That’s us”
Veronica’s eyes start to gloss.
“I absolutely love that. And you.”
Teenagers-
Being the badass power couple they are, being 100% team Serpent against the Bulldogs during the riots. Its all one long shot too- no cuts :))
A Sunday Kind of Love-
Looking at each other in slow motion (wow- I really love putting stuff in slow motion) when Veronica is officially named Serpent queen, they’re absolutely smitten with each other. Cut to them dancing in the Wyrm to the song, discussing how they’re going to make their big debut as Riverdale’s resident power couple… second to Choni of course.
“So… now that I’m your queen, I was thinking had a debut of sorts. Just to educate the public of this new order.” Veronica jabs, only kind of joking.
Jughead laughs, but it sounds more of a huff.
“Could you settle for a hand-in-hand entrance at school? Or would you be more comfortable with a red carpet event?”
Glory-
Veronica and Jughead walking into school as Serpent Royalty with matching Serpent jackets- no special colours thank you very much. You can bet your ass its in slow motion.
Worlds Apart-
Veronica crying at Jughead’s bed-side after the Ghoulies fuck him up.
Boss Bitch-
Veronica gets revenge on the Ghoulies and Penny Peabody with the help of the female Serpents, the River vixens, Hermione, Betty, and Alice.
Le Symbolique-
Veronica and Jughead reunite from his state of unconsciousness, this whole sequence is in slow motion, with a lot of white lighting/glare. Jughead almost died and just that thought alone KILLED Veronica.
“Jug I was so scared-“
“Shush Ronnie, let me look at you.” His teary eyes trace over Veronica’s face with a beaming smile, before he brings his girlfriend closer and kisses the top of her forehead.
Harmony Hall-
Some core four bliss before it gets chaotic again, with a side of Jeronica and Barchie cuddles.
Not Your Barbie Girl-
A River vixen performance, Jughead is so fricken in love with Ronnie right now cuz she’s just RADIATING empowerment.
Therefore I Am-
Jeronica sends Hiram to jail again after a bomb ass one liner from Veronica:
“Mija, you have no idea what you’re doing.”
“Only one thing’s false in that sentence Hiram, I’m not your Mija anymore.”
(HELP ME I CAN’T WRITE)
*Proud Jughead smirk*
This Life-
Veronica meeting JB and Gladys, them getting along great- just a wholesome Lodge/Jones get-together.
Don’t Call Me Angel-
Veronica changes her name to Luna, fully emancipating herself from Hiram, and this gets Jughead really turned on XD
Sway With Me-
La Bonne Nuit’s first successful night, Josie, Veronica, Toni, and Cheryl perform. Veronica somehow convinces Jughead to dance with her in public. Think Moulin Rouge’s Diamond Dogs type editing.
My Oh My-
Getting screwed over my Hiram, Veronica is in a TON of debt and needs some “stress relief” with Jughead. He obliges. Happily.
HIP-
Veronica and Cheryl start their rum business, Jughead helps and oml he’s so proud of her. Btw, Cheronica are HUGE badasses right now.
Bury a friend-
Surviving Eversgreen Forest and Penelope Blossom…
Youth-
The core four are free from the forest, successfully escaping Penelope Blossom. Jughead and Veronica share a tearful but happy kiss, laying down on the back of a truck.
Don’t Take The Money-
The core four hang out at pops and promise to have fun this senior year, Jughead steals Veronica’s cherry from her milkshake, but being so vulnerable to Midget’s (He calls her Midget. Yup.) puppy dog eyes, he makes it up to her by sharing his fries.
“And for a brief, shining moment, we were kids again.” all that good shiz
The Four Seasons: “Winter”-
Jeronica hangs with the Stonewall psychos.
(Online Love)-
Veronica and Jughead FaceTime and Veronica has this vibe like she’s the montage of the hero’s dead girlfriend in a movie. Like her hair is all splayed out on her pillow and she’s all smiley-
“You look like an angel right now- with your hair like a halo and how much you’re smiling.”
Veronica laughs
“Well it’s your fault I’m smiling you idiot.” Her voice softens towards the end of the sentence.
“I love you too, Ron.”
El Tejano-
Party at Stonewall, Jeronica are absolutely WASTED. Fun fact- Jughead get’s really into PDA when he’s drunk
Burned Out-
Oh shit… I guess Jughead is dead now. (dw, Betty’s still the one who “kills him”)
Claire de Lune-
Just kidding, he’s alive, and he and Veronica have a really cute moment in the bunker. Veronica starts reading his novel, per his request, and he just starts playing this on the record player and she smiles but her eyes are still on the book. He just kind of watches her, and when she starts beaming at the book he can’t help but kiss her right there. Then they just cuddle and little bit, Veronica on Jug’s lap, reading the book some more.
Girls Like GIrls-
Veronica has to prove Jughead is dead, so she and Betty kinda sorta… make out. Like, a lot. Betty is dating Archie at this point, and he’s the one who gets “mad”. But basically Betty and Veronica end up making out again cuz they spot Donna watching them. Veronica is a bi con, and Betty might be too but everyones in denial so *shrugs*.
Dream Lover-
(Time skip, because I’m lazy) Jughead’s alive again, sadly, his spot at NYU was taken by well, Veronica. Luckily, after pulling some strings, she surprises Jug with a full-ride acceptance letter from NYU starting second semester.
Magic Moments-
Yay! Prom! Barchie gets crowned king and queen (Beronica was kind of forgotten about, but thats fine, because we’re here for Jeronica first). While Betty and Archie are totally lost in each other, Jughead and Veronica are just kind of joking around on the side. While it’s Barchie’s moment, Jeronica is still looking pretty damn cute rn. Also, this becomes Barchie’s song!!
Oxford comma-
The song comes through the speaker at prom, Jughead invites Veronica to dance. As they sway, they gaze at one another like they’re seeing one another for the first time, to the song that started it all.
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
And thats it! Thats Jeronica’s story from season one to season four, I hope you have a very merry Christmas and I hope you liked your presents! Also, if anyone feels like adding on to the dialogue or using any of the points in a fic or even making a whole ass fanfiction- please do!! I didn’t do this justice with my mediocre quotes so it would actually be preferred XD.
And again, happy Christmas :))

Cheryl//she means everything to me
Request: Can I request a Cheryl Blossom request where the reader is Archie's twin (a girl) and a super close with her brother and his friends so she doesn't like Cheryl but one day she finds Cheryl crying over Jason and comforts her so Cheryl falls for her and becomes like her best friends has her join the vixens constantly by her side and eventually the reader falls for her and like a super fluffy ending please ps I really love everything you write
hey! i had so much fun writing this, you have no idea! its also super gay!
“Well would you look at that, the sad breakfast club have reunited at lunch.” Cheryl’s cheery voice stops all conversations happening and everyone turns to look at her, her red hair blows softly in slight breeze and her eyes twinkle with whatever chaos she’s going to cause today.
“What do you want Cheryl?” Betty is the first to speak, dropping her fork on her tray as you all wait for her to start her insults.
“Well, cousin, I actually wanted to see how you were. But however, if you’re going to be like that.” She clears her throat before narrowing her eyes. “Betty, your ponytail is wonky and that sweater really washes you out, your hobo of a boyfriend really needs a bath because well, I can smell him from here, or maybe thats just the ridiculously childish hat he refuses to take off. Archie, you’re hair is so ridiculously bright today, its actually blinding me, and it looks like you’ve put enough product in to drown all the little lice that lives in it, Veronica that dress was popular last season, and the shoes a decade ago, and Y/n, I actually didn’t realize you were here. Like I kind of forgot that you existed for a few minutes. What’s it like in your brothers shadow?” She finishes her little speech with a bright smile and the five of you sigh before starting to eat again. You can never read Cheryl, one day she can be sweet and lovely and want to help, the next she’s the worst person you’ll ever meet.
“Probably a lot nicer than being in yours...I can imagine Jason’s shadow is particularly cold.” Veronica retorts and your eyes widen in surprise...that was cold, even for Veronica. Archie smiles proudly at his girlfriend and presses a soft kiss to her head while the rest of the table laugh, including yourself, all 5 of you ignoring Cheryl as she turns on her heel and storms off.
“Lovely talking to you!” Jughead calls after her causing you all to laugh even louder.
“Will she ever stop being a bitch?” You wonder aloud and the laughing pauses, giving everyone a chance to look at each other for a few seconds before you start giggling again.
“I don’t think its possible for Cheryl to be anything other.” Your brother replies through a mouthful of sandwich and you nod in reply.
-----
“Do you wanna ride Y/n?” Archie shouts across the parking lot as he gestures to the truck behind him. Veronica is already in the passenger seat scrolling through her phone and you so desperately want to go with them, even if they’ll do gross things in Archie’s room until your mom gets back from work, but today apparently is not your day,
“If I’m not back when mom gets home tell her that I haven’t been kidnapped or murdered, I’m just going to be late because Cheryl set her Vixens out for revenge and they’ve stolen my bag so I get to play a fun game of hide-and-seek with all my stuff.” You huff, blowing a piece of hair from your face as your shoulder slump in defeat. The fact that you could be spending up to a few hours extra at this stupid school actually hitting you, and Archie gives you a sympathetic look in response to your frown.
“Do you need some help?” He offers but you shake your head. You don’t want to drag him into this, plus you can imagine the Vixens are already planning what they’re going to do to him and the rest of your friends, so you may-as-well give him some peace while he can get it.
“Nah, I’m sure I’ll be fine. I was always the best at finding things when we were younger.” You shrug. “Plus, you don’t want to keep your girlfriend waiting.” You nod towards Veronica who’s hanging her head out the passenger window.
“I suppose not.” He replies, a soft smile playing on his lips as he looks back at his girlfriend and you can’t help but feel a little sad. You’re glad Archie and Veronica have finally worked everything out and are madly in love, but a small part of you feels left behind.
Practically all of your friends are in relationships or are dating, leaving you to be the odd one out at literally any get together. However you have very limited options when it comes to dating, there’s not a lot of queer girls in Riverdale, or even the surrounding towns, at least not a lot of them are out and the ones that are you don’t really like that much. *cough* Cheryl *cough*. And no matter how hard your friends try to set you up with someone, they always seems to pick the worst people. No matter how many times you tell them what your type is.
Three weeks ago Veronica set you up with a girl who came into Pop’s a lot and the only reason she went on a date with you is because she liked Veronica and wanted to know her ‘deal’. Which you can imagine she was very surprised when you told her she was dating your twin brother...yikes.
Maybe you should join a convent. Or get one of those apps that Kevin uses, but only weirdos...and Kevin are on those types of apps. And do they even have them for gay girls.
You ponder your options as you walk behind the bleachers, humming a song you heard in the car this morning as you go. You’re also trying to figure out how to get back at Cheryl and her minions when you hear sniffling coming from a little further ahead of you. Stopping in your tracks you look up and towards the noise to see none other than Cheryl Blossom crying by herself. Thankfully she hasn’t seen you yet and and you quickly look around to see how far your escape is. You're about to turn on your heels when the nice side of you decides to show up, unfortunately.
God, why do I have to have a conscious.
You take a deep breath and send a prayer to literally anybody listening that she doesn’t bite your head off, before you slowly make your way towards the red-head.
“Cheryl?” Your voice shakes with uncertainty and as soon as she hears someone say her name her head lifts up and she’s wiping the tears from her eyes, a look of distain taking over the previous sad expression.
“What do you want Andrews?” She spits and looks you up and down.
You decided to ignore her tone, and try to keep your nice one as you continue your conversation. “Are you okay?”
“Just fine.” She crosses her arms over her chest and her jaw locks as she looks away from you.
“Are you sure?” You ask and sit on the floor a few feet away from her. “Because, you don’t seem it.”
“What’s it to you anyway?” She snaps and you roll your eyes.
“You’re right. It is none of my business.” You sigh and stand up, dusting your jeans off once your stood. “I hope you feel better soon.”
“Y/n?” She calls after you and you huff before turning around. “I’m sorry.” Your eyes widen at the words thats just come of of her mouth and you need to sit down.
“What?!” Your jaw drops and she rolls her eyes at you. “Did you actually just apologize to me?”
“Yes, but I can take it back if you want.” She mutters and you force a smile away as you sit down beside her again, this time a tiny bit closer to her than before but she doesn’t seem to mind, instead your pretty sure she shuffles a little closer to you too.
“Sorry.” You mumble and a small smile appears on her face.
“Did you just apologize?” She mocks and you giggle a little.
“Okay, I deserved that.” You nod. “Do you want to talk about why you’re sat on the floor behind the bleachers after everyone has gone home, crying?”
“Well, when you put it so delicately, sure.” She replies and you send her a look. “I miss Jason.”
“Oh.” You say and look at the your hands. You’re not really sure what to say to that. It’s not like you can bring him back, or even take away her pain. As much as you don’t like her, Cheryl’s been through an awful lot. Far more than anybody else and you can’t help but feel slightly sorry for her.
“Yep.” She take a quick glance at you before deciding to look straight ahead. An idea pops into your head and you sit up a little before looking at her.
“What do you miss about him?”
“What?” She furrows her brows as she looks at you and you take a deep breath before explaining.
“Well, in my experience...it kind of helps to talk about what you miss about them. Because it doesn’t push away the fact that they’re gone, and it also helps me remember the best bits about them. So even though it always stings, overall it makes me feel a little better. If that makes sense?”
“Yeah.” She nods and you can tell she’s thinking about what you’ve just said. “I get that. That was surprisingly insightful for you.”
“Thanks.” You laugh and she giggles a little. “So what do you miss about him?”
“I miss...how he always used to tell me stupid jokes whenever mom or dad had been mean to me or if they’d argued.” She smiles a little at the memory, despite the sad undertones and you can’t help but think how brave Cheryl actually is. “And how when we were younger we used to share a room and he would always tell me bedtime stories. Usually after my mom had come in and told us scary ones. As soon as he’d hear her walk down the stairs he would slip out of his bed and climb into mine and tell me magical stories, usually involving the two of us. We’d be superheroes or we’d live in a caste and we’d be happy.”
“Thats sweet.”
“Yeah. He was. He was just the best. He always looked after me, no matter what. None of his friends were aloud to make fun of me no matter how old we were, and when I didn’t have many friends when I was younger he’d make sure I never felt lonely...he was a good person.”
“He was yeah.” You nod in agreement. “When I was about ten, he was playing football with a bunch of his friends and I was walking past them, trying to get away from them as soon as possible. He ended up throwing the ball and it hit me right in the end making me fall over. And instead of laughing, he ran over to me and he said sorry while helping me up. Then he took me to the nurses office and waited with me until my dad picked me up.” You smile flickers for a moment at the mention of your father and Cheryl seems to pick up on it, placing a gentle hand on your arm making you smile a little. “If that was any other boy, they would have laughed. But no, he helped me and I think that sums up Jason perfectly.”
“Yeah. It really does.” She looks at you properly, for what is probably the first time ever and she feels her breathing quicken. How was she ever mean to you? Your eyes are sparkling in the sunlight as you talk about the very few memories of Jason, and she has to fight the urge to cry. Nobody apart from her brother has ever been this nice to her, and after Jason’s death, nobody really said anything nice about him, they usually just talked about the theories surrounding his murder.
A soft smile dances across your lips, the corners of your lips curled upwards and she feels herself mirroring it. Your hair blows a little in the slight breeze and you tuck the stray bits behind your ear, leaving the rest to fall around your face. She giggles when your nose scrunches up at a particularly gross part of a story involving puke and a swimming pool and she frowns when you stop laughing, due to a sad part in a story that also involves your father. She just wants to wrap her arms around you and forget about the entire world and all of the horrible things in it.
“Did that help?” You ask and she nods, a sweet smile on her lips as she looks at you.
“Yeah...thanks.”
“No problem!” You reply, a bright grin on your face and she feels her heart flutter at the sight. She’s never really seen you smile like this, and even if she has caught a glimpse of it, its never directed at her. She feels like she needs to go back in time and right all of those wrongs because she needs to see you smile like that more often.
“If you don’t mind me asking, why exactly were you skulking around the bleachers in the first place?”
“Oh. I was looking for my bag.”
“How’d you lose a whole bag?” She laughs but when she notices you looking at her, your eyebrows raised, she remembers how you could lose a whole bag. “Oh, yeah. Sorry about that.”
“You can make it up to me by telling me where it is.” You nudge her shoulder and she grimaces.
“Yeahhh. About that. You’re not going to like where they put it.”
“Where did they put it?” You narrow your eyes at her.
“The bin...in the cafeteria.”
“Damn.” You sigh. “Well, I suppose it needed a wash anyway.”
“Sorry.” She sighs, looking at the floor.
“Its fine.” You grab her hand and she looks at you surprised making you pull your hand away (much to her disappointment). “I kind of deserved it. What Veronica said was pretty harsh and I didn’t say anything.”
“No, no. You didn’t say it, you didn’t say anything actually. I was really mean to you and you just took it. I’m so sorry.”
“If it makes you feel any better I did call you a bitch after you left.” You shrug and she looks at your surprised.
“You know.” She stands up and dusts her skirt off, offering you a hand afterwards. “That does kind of make me feel a little better.”
“I’m glad.” You grin and let her pull you up.
“I can help you find your bag and then give you a lift home...thats if you want to.” She trails off at the end, she never feels nervous, but suddenly you’re making her more nervous than she’s ever felt before.
“Sure.” You nod. “You can tell me more stories about Jason if you want.” You ask and its only now that you realize you’re still holding her hand. You mumble a quick sorry and let go before starting to walk away. “You coming?” You look back at her and she swears her heart actually skips a beat as she stares at you, the sun behind you makes you look ethereal, and she’s always believed in angels, but its only now that she’s actually seen one.
“Yeah.” She nods. “Y/n?”
“Yeah?”
“I don’t think anybody could forget that you existed.”
especially not me...not now
-----
“Did you find your bag honey?” Your mom asks as you walk into the kitchen.
“Mom. You’re back early.” You smile awkwardly at her and then to Archie, who’s stood on the other end of the kitchen with a worried expression on his face. It doesn’t take you a minute to figure out Veronica is upstairs and he’s trying to sneak her out.
“Well, yeah.” She nods and takes a sip of coffee. “I was finished my work and I wanted to spend time with my babies.” She pinches your cheek softly making you roll your eyes. Archie is still looking towards the door and you can hear the slight creaks of the floorboards as Veronica tries to sneak down the stairs.
“I-” Archie is about to practically shout over the noise but your mom puts her hand up in the air, effectively stopping him.
“Just tell her to come down. She can stay for dinner if she wants.” She shakes her head and sends you a quick smile making you giggle.
“Right. Yes. Okay.” He nods and quickly makes his way to the stairs. There’s quiet mumbling before Veronica appears by his side in the doorway of the kitchen, both of them with sweet smiles as they look at your mom.
“Hi, Mrs Andrews.” Veronica waves. “Hey Y/n. Did you find your bag?”
“Yeah. It was in a bin.” You shrug and they all look at you.
“Honey, why would someone do that? Do you want me to call the school?”
“Its fine mom.” You shake your head. “Its just Cheryl and her friends.”
“Well we should talk to someone. They can’t go around putting people’s belongings in the bin. The law clearly state-”
“Mom.” You interrupt her as you sit at the table. “Its fine. She was actually very sorry about it.”
“What!?!” Both Veronica and Archie’s jaws drop while they look at you wide-eyed.
“Cheryl was sorry?” Veronica asks in disbelief.
“Yeah.” You shrug. “She helped me look for it.”
“Yeah. I don’t believe that in the slightest.” She replies.
“Definitely. She’s got something planned. And its big.” Archie agrees.
“Or she could just be being nice. That does actually happen you know.” You reply and he laughs sarcastically.
“Yeah, I don’t think she knows how to be nice. Why are you even defending her? Earlier today you asked if she would ever stop being a bitch.”
“Archie! Language!” Your mom scolds and the two of your roll your eyes.
“That was before I had an actual conversation with her instead of insulting her. Which is what you do.”
“I don’t insult her, Veronica insults her.” He replies.
“Archie!” Veronica slaps him arm lightly and he mumbles a quick apology.
“Yeah, but you don’t do anything to stop the insults.”
“Neither do you.” He retorts and you cross your arms.
“Well, I’m doing it right now s-”
“Okay!” Your mom shouts instantly shutting everyone up. “Thats enough. We’re going to have a nice family dinner and we’re going to enjoy each others company. Now stop shouting at each other. And say sorry.”
It takes a few seconds and a lot of glares and huffs but eventually you say sorry to each other and Archie sits on the opposite side of the table of you, followed quickly by Veronica.
“Do you like Cheryl?” He mouths while your mom is plating up the food and when she isn’t looking you make sure to kick him under the table, earning a death glare from him.
“God no.” You huff, scrunching your face up which makes him laugh.
maybe a little
-----
“Here comes the she-devil.” Jughead mumbles quietly and you all look in the direction that he was nodding to. Cheryl is walking towards your table, with a look you’ve never really seen before. Not one thats directed at your friends anyway. She looks happy. A lot different to how you found her yesterday and you’re glad she’s not as sad, a smile really suits her.
“Oh god.” Veronica mumbles as she takes a sip from her drink. “Hey, did we tell you where she hid Y/n’s bag yesterday?” She asks, lowering her voice as Cheryl gets closer and Betty and Jughead shake their heads, leaning further towards her. “In the cafeteria bin.”
“Gross.” Betty scrunches her face up.
“Thats just unhygienic.” Jughead adds.
“You’re telling me.” Veronica replies. “Mrs Andrews had to wash it three times to get the smell of the soup out.”
“Ewww.” They laugh and you send them a quick glare before looking at Cheryl.
“Greetings fellow students.” Cheryl stops in front or your table and the laughter stops. You swear you can see a flicker of sadness flash through her eyes and you decide to quickly change the subject.
“Cheryl!” You smile brightly at her and the sadness you thought you saw disappears completely. Its not everyday that somebody has been this happy to see her and she decides to grab it with both hands.
All night she was up thinking about you, thinking about how she could have gone so long not noticing you, and how she needs to make sure everybody notices you. Everyone needs to know about you. Y/n Andrews, the girl who could take some of Cheryl Blossom’s sadness away, something that has never been done before.
“Hi Cheryl.” Betty greets her and she forces a polite smile to look at your friends, making it a little bigger as she looks at your brother.
“Hi.” She replies. “Can I sit?” She’s now looking back at you, pointing to the seat beside you and you nod, quickly moving down so she can sit beside you. Archie huffs as he’s pushed off the end of the table and he quickly grabs a seat so he can sit back down.
“Are you feeling any better today?” You voice is quiet, barely above a whisper as you ask her a question and she can’t help but fall a little more for you, because you didn’t shout her business, not like everybody else does. You made sure only she could hear you.
“Yeah.” She nods. “Much better. I still miss him, but it doesn’t hurt as much.”
“I’m glad.” You smile. “Anyway.” Your voice is louder and the quiet mumbles from your friends have stopped. “Can we help you with anything?”
“Yes actually! Y/n, how would you feel about joining the Vixens?” Her smile is warm and kind but the words that have just come from her lips make your bold run cold. Your friends look at each other before looking back at you and you can feel yourself getting hotter and hotter.
“I don’t know Cheryl.” You start, your voice nervous as you try and find the best way to let her down gently. She’s only started being nice to you but you’d rather stick forks in your eyes than be a cheerleader, not with them anyway. They’re mean and rude and they think they’re better than everyone...but you’re not going to say that to Cheryl, so instead you decide on something a little nicer. “It’s just not really my type of thing. Plus, I don’t think they really like me.”
“Can you imagine, Y/n as a cheerleader.” Archie chuckles making you and Cheryl roll your eyes.
“Whats wrong with being a cheerleader?” Cheryl asks and crosses her arms.
“Yeah, Archie. Or are you forgetting that your girlfriend is a Vixen?” You add and Cheryl sends you a small smile which makes your head feel a little fuzzy.
“There’s nothing wrong with being a Vixen. But Y/n being a Vixen is just funny.”
“And why is that dear brother?” You raise an eyebrow and he gulps. He mumbles a quick ‘nothing’, before going back to eating.
“I really do think you should at least try-out. I think you’ll be great. Plus, if any of the girls say anything, which they won’t, they’ll have me to answer to.” She explains and you think about it for a minute. Would it be really bad to be part of the school’s cheerleading squad. The reasonable part of your brain is saying, more like screaming, yes its the worst idea in the world. But the slightly less reasonable and the slightly more gay part is screaming hell yeah. Surrounded by wonderful, smart if not slightly intimidating girls...plus, Cheryl!
“Fine.” You give in. “I’ll try out.”
“Yay!” She claps her hands excitedly before standing up and brushing her hair over her shoulder. The small gesture has you mesmerized and you have to force yourself to remember where you are in order to regain all your thoughts, the number one being, ‘what the hell was that about?’ “I’ll see you after school! Goodbye Y/n.” She waves at you before starting to walk away and its only when Betty clears her throat that she turns around again to wave everybody else off.
Your brother decides to wait until she’s out of earshot until he starts talking again, and the first thing he says is something that doesn’t really surprise you.
“Y/n and Cheryl, kissing in a tree.” He teases, making a kissy face and you throw a handful of food at him. The rest of your friends let out the laughter they’ve been holding in and you roll your eyes so hard you swear they’re going to fall out.
“How old are you?” You huff.
“Old enough to see that Cheryl fancies you.”
“Shut up!”
-----
Cheryl didn’t just fancy you.
She liked you.
Actually she was head over heels, doodling your initials in a heart, mind goes fuzzy anytime she sees you, in love with you.
And you? Well, you were none the wiser.
You just thought she was being friendly. Maybe more than the average person but Cheryl hasn’t had many close friends so maybe this is the only way she knows how to keep them.
She’s holding your hand? She just wants to make sure you know you’re not alone. Her hugs are a bit longer than normal? Come on, the girl deserves a long hug. She always finds a way to include you in conversation? She’s just being sweet.
Yes, Cheryl Blossom was becoming a slightly more bearable person, and it only seemed to happen when you were around. Leaving everyone to have their own conspiracies.
Archie’s was of course that she was in love with you. “Yeah right. Like that would happen Archie.”
Veronica’s was that it was one long prank to get back at everyone who’d hurt her. “Veronica, thats just sociopathic.”
Betty’s was slightly less weird, that she probably just wants to make a friend and so she’s being overly nice to fool people into thinking she hasn’t got a heart made of ice. “Thats just mean.”
And Jughead’s was that she’d either been possessed by a poltergeist. “Aren’t they supposed to be mean?” Or, that she’d been taken over by aliens. “I think they’d have better things to do than make Cheryl nice.”
Plus there was all of the other ridiculous rumors flying around school, but she either seemed to not hear or just ignore them.
“Y/n. Are you even listening to me?” You’re pulled back down to earth by Cheryl waving her hands in front of your face.
“What? Yeah. Huh?” You ask and she huffs, crossing her arms over her chest.
“I was talking you through the routine for Friday. You know the whole reason why we’re in the gym after school.”
“Yes. Yes. I remember.” You stand and she shakes her head, despite the smile thats threatening to ruin her facade.
“Okay.” She stands beside you. “Are you watching?” She asks and glances at you, a smile making its way onto her face as she watches you go over the steps in your head. Your frowning slightly at you try to remember the steps and she can’t help but giggle a little as your arms start to move to.
“What?” You ask.
“Nothing.” She shakes her head. “Ready?”
“Ye-”
“Good.” She nods. The music starts and she begins to go through the steps, you following a step behind her. However half way through you get distracted by the way she’s moving and then it hits you.
I’m in love with with Cheryl Blossom.
“Shit.” You mumble and she turns around quickly.
“Everything okay?”
“Yeah, I erm. I just got a bit distracted. Sorry.”
“Its fine.” She smiles brightly. “Lets go again, I’ll help you this time.”
“You’re already helping me.” You reply and she rolls her eyes.
“I’ll help you even more.” She hits your arm lightly and your heart goes hay-wire at the small interaction. “Stand there.” You do as she says and the next thing you know she’s stood behind you were her hands on your hips.
“Wha-at, are you doing?” You stutter, your breathing getting quicker with each second. Her perfume is suffocating you, but in the best way and her breath is hot on your neck as she leans over you a little.
“He-helping.” She replies, also stuttering a bit and your swear you hear her breath hitch when you move your head to look at her. Your lips are millimeters away from hers, and if you leaned in just a little more you’d be kissing her, something you really want to do right now. You wonder what her lips would feel like against yours, how soft they’d be and if her lipstick would stain you, forever leaving a mark on you. “Y/n?”
“Yeah?” Your eyes flicker up to meet hers and it feels like she’s staring directly into your soul.
“Can I kiss you?”
“Absolutely.” You reply and within seconds her lips are on yours, her hands gripping your waist tightly to turn you around. What you thought kissing Cheryl would be like, and actually kissing Cheryl, are completely different. Her lips are softer than you could ever imagine. Her lipstick tastes like cherries with a hint of maple syrup and you don’t think pancakes are ever going to taste the same again.
You both pull away, a bright blush on both of your faces and she giggles a little as she wipes the lipstick from the side of your face. But it doesn’t matter, she left a mark on you that day behind the bleachers, and you don’t think you’re ever going to be the same again...not that you’d really want to be.

Riverdale 4x19 Finale Review/Analysis
First off I’d like to apologise for how late this review is I had written all but the last part but then was dealing with some family stuff so its a bit later than usual. But anyway here it is my review/analysis for the season 4 finale. Despite them having to reschedule everything so that this was the season finale when it clearly wasn’t suppose to be I still actually really enjoyed this episode. However that said there were some things that, well I guess you could say they didn’t quite sit right with me but overall I think this was one of the better episodes of the seasons. I don’t have as much to say about this episode as I do feel like it was a bit of a filler episode but I figured we could still go through the episode and talk about the things I liked, the things I didn’t but also what clues might have been left for us. I’m also going to give some theories and predictions for season 5 based on some of the interviews I’ve read since watching the episode. As always these are just my own opinions its fine if you disagree and of course there are spoilers.
No Seriously Though Who Is The Voyeur?
So to kick things off I figured we could talk first about the video tapes and again who I think the voyeur is. Well I’m sticking to my theory that it’s Donna accompanied by a group of lackies. Yeah I know I’ll die on this hill. The episode starts out similar to the one before with Charles, Betty and Jughead watching the re-enactment of Jason Blossoms murder. Just as a quick tangent here but can we have a shout out for the casting team because seeing all three of them side by side really brought out the resemblance between them, like Charles looks so much like both Betty and Jughead like I can fully believe that Charles is brother to them both. Any way back on track, during this scene all three of them ask some very good questions. Charles asks why the escalation now and could it be a warning. Betty suggests that maybe its a pratice run for an actual murder. (This is actually something I suggested myself when the first re enactment was shown and I said that Donna and the stonies might have filmed it as a practice run for Jughead’s actual murder.) Jughead also makes a suggestion saying it seemed like the voyeur was trying to blur the lines between fact and fiction. This I think might be a clue to who the voyeur might be. I also think its more evidence to support my theory. Fiction makes me think of writing and story telling, when we first meet Donna its at Stonewall Prep where she is part of a writing seminar. In my opinon from the way these videos are set up it seems to me that the person sending out the videos isn’t just a voyeur but a storyteller too and Donna fits this bill. We know that she is a writer so thats a check for the storyteller, and by her own admission she watched the tapes Bret was making of the other students at Stonewall so thats the check for a voyeur. Also all of the re-enactments can be linked back to Jughead in some way. Obviously the first one shows Jughead’s would be murder with Betty killing Jughead with a rock, the Jason Blossom one I talked about in my last review and how Jughead had based his first Baxter Brothers draft on his murder, Midge’s death can also be linked to Jughead as he filmed the whole Carrie BTS thing and so was actually the one who (accidently) recorded Midge’s original murder which the voyeur then watched and used for the re-enactment. The latest one depicting Mr Honey’s murder can obviously be linked back to Jughead as its his story. In an interview RAS said that the voyeur had very personal reasons for what they were doing and well we know that Donna is holding a grudge against Jughead. The other thing that is interesting is that there are several references to Stonewall, the Stonies and that plotline throughout the episode. The first is when Jughead says getting into Iowa could be a way to make up for the Stonewall hell, then during his story they all wear Stonewall jackets and the infamous bunny masks, there is another reference when during the story the two boys in the locker room are talking about rumours that Mr Honey had an affair with a student, I mean a false accusation of an affair with a student made against a dead teacher, hmm that sounds familiar. Of course I do think this is a reference to Donna and the story she made up about her and Mr Chippens in an attempt to cover up his murder. Also the story line of a group of teenagers commiting a murder and then murdering one of their friends when they get cold feet is the same as the Stonewall plotline where the others murdered Jonathon because they were afraid he was going to tell. The last reference comes from Mr Honey when he says hes going to be the new principal at Stonewall. I don’t think its a coincidence that just as things a heating up in the storyline with the tapes they are now starting to drop more references to Stonewall and by extention Donna, I think these might be clues left by the writers. Of course I could also be barking up the wrong tree.
So who else are my main suspects for who the voyeur could be? Well RAS said this in an interview about the voyeur.
Tumblr media
So we know from this that the voyeur’s primary motive is a personal vendetta but we also know that on some level they are also interested in how trauma has changed the town and the kids in it. So now we just need to figure out who fits this criteria. I do think its going to be a character that we have already met because its too late in the game to introduce a new character or have it be someone we don’t know as it would be very anitclimatic if that did happen.
Ok so unfortunately my boy Charles could fit this description. As much as I love him he does have a very personal reason to have a grudge against the town. It is very possible that he is angry that he was given up for adoption but also that Alice, when he came looking for his family, shut the door in his face. He could also be angry specifically at Betty, Jughead and also even Archie and Veronica as he could consider them responsible for getting Chic (his lover) arrested. It also wouldn’t be a reach for Charles who due to being an FBI agent has a very inquisitive mind and an investigative nature to be interested in how his birth town became corrupt and what trauma can do to kids especially if he on some level is trying to figure out why he was given up for adoption and why he was later turned away by his family. Maybe he wants to know if it was because of the town’s sickness and the darkness of the people in the town. It could also be him looking into whether he too has been twisted, afterall we know that he was raised by the Sisters of Quiet Mercy and who knows what kind of an effect that has had on him, so he could be trying to learn about his own darkness too. I personally, as I’ve said before, don’t want them to go this route. I just, one, feel like it would be way to predictable, it wouldn’t shock me at all. Two, they’ve done the whole evil brother earns the family’s trust then turns out to be a phychotic killer with Chic. I don’t want or need to see that storyline again, like please please Riverdale show me something new. I just think it would be more interesting to go the secret FBI agent route where he is manipulating the villians to take them down than the he’s evil one.
Another of my suspects I’ve also spoken about before is Terry the Ticklemaster. This one I’m less sure on and is based mostly on the fact that I just think he’s really suspicious and we know that he works with cameras. I’m unsure on what his personal vendetta could be as we don’t have enough information about him to know. However I could see how as a film maker he might also be interested in human behaviour so might also be interested in how the trauma effects Riverdale and its kids. To be honest I think its more likely that he is helping the voyeur than him actually being the voyeur.
Suspect number 3 is Evelyn. I know she’s been in prison but she could be using the hypnosis she’s put on some of the farmies like she did with Polly and Alice to get others to do her bidding. Kind of like she’s the puppet master. As for what personal reason she could have well she could blame all those in Riverdale who used to be with the farm and who now aren’t, like Alice, Fangs, Kevin, Toni and Cheryl for abandoning the Farm and also Betty for the fact that she has been arrested and her husband has been killed. Also we know the Farm used people’s darkness to manipulate them into joining the cult so its possible that she would have a dark, twisted interest in how trauma is infecting the town.
Mr Honey could also be another possibilty. I know they kinda painted him as being the good guy at the end of this episode but I still haven’t forgotten about him visiting the red suite or other questionable behaviour such as wrecking Reggie’s car and being manipulative with Kevin and Reggie in the halloween episode. He also seems to have a weird vendetta against the students. Also his whole speech about trying to prepare them for the outside world because Riverdale isn’t normal makes me think that maybe he is sending the tapes to force these kids to look at their past traumas and understand how the town has a darkness and a sickness, a way of forcing them to see how dark they’ve become themselves and how wrong it is. Also weirdly the fact the show is trying to show him as a good guy makes me more suspicious of him. Of course all of this is provided he wasn’t the one being murdered at the end of this episode which I will discuss in a bit.
Another option is Ethel. I mean poor Ethel has been mixed up in some pretty messed up situations. She’s got alot of reasons to be angry at the town. I mean there was the whole thing with Chuck in season 1, then in season 2 she was sending those threatening letters about Cheryl pretending to be the black hood in the Carrie episode, season 3 was the G&G plotline and she ended up with the sisters, now in season 4 we find out she is mixed up in the red suite where they had homemade sex tapes and snuff films. Plus she had that line about making it out of Riverdale in one piece which suggests that she recognises that the town isn’t normal and had a traumatic effect on the kids. Out of all of them though I think she’s the least likely.
Ok this one is a little more out there but when going over the footage of the Honey Murder I did notice that the woman in the Betty mask does look to have blonde hair. It is a little hard to tell though because of the low quality and the lighting. But if they did have blonde hair who do we know who might have an issue with Riverdale. Well I think it could be Polly. We haven’t really heard from her since the beginning of the season so we don’t know for sure if she is still at Shady Grove or not. Also she’s got plenty of personal reasons to be doing this. Her fiance and father of her twins was murdered by his own father, FP hid the body, her own Father tried to force her to have an abortion before with her mother’s agreement she was locked up with the Sisters. Then she is taken in by blossoms only to find out that she was having her cousin’s babies and that the blossoms were only helping her so they could get the babies. Her dad turns out to be a serial killer. Then she ends up joining a cult, gets a bomb strapped to her chest and then ends up locked up in a mental hospital. She’s been deeply affected by the darkness of the town and more specifically Jason’s death. His murder has been brought up alot this season this could be in preparation of revealing the voyeur to be Polly getting revenge for Jason’s murder.
Ok please forgive me for this one, I’m really hoping this one isn’t true but the thought did pop into my mind so. But I realised that the two videos found at the Red Suite, the Jason Blossom murder and Midge’s have something in common. They were both pieces of footage that were handed into the Sheriff’s Department. More specifically they were handed in when Tom Keller was Sheriff. Now I’m not suggesting that its Tom but rather Kevin. We know that Kevin was one of the first people to see the footage of Jason Blossom being murdered. He was also in charge of the Carrie production and I feel like he felt alot of responsibility for what happened to her. It’s also not unreasonable to assume he might have been able to get hold of those two pieces of footage through his Father he could have snuck in and stolen them. We also know he knows how to use a camera as we saw him filming for Alice in episode 15. Also Kevin has gone through alot of crap the last couple of years and I think his speech to Mr Honey in the musical episode is very telling of his mental state right now particularly how he talked about how he felt numb but was screaming on the inside. Also in the beginning of the season when he was talking to Betty and Charles he said he had felt alone all summer after leaving the Farm. Maybe these tapes are his way of getting the anger out. Also he was in prime position to get his hands on Jughead’s story about Mr Honey. It was Kevin who came and told Jughead and Betty that Mr Honey was looking for them. Its during this scene that we see Jughead leave his pages on the desk. Its possible that Kevin then went in there and took the pages. However although I don’t watch Katy Keene I am aware that apparently Kevin was on that show and that its set 5 years in the future I believe. I did see one clip where Kevin is talking about how he is still in Riverdale and that he works at Riverdale high. But if he were involved surely he would be in jail. But its possible that he was either hypnotised by Evelyn, the group  find out he’s involved but the authorities don’t, he’s sent to jail but is released by the time he is seen in Katy Keene, he makes a bargain with the authorities where he gets immunity if he turns the ringleader in. I feel something must have happened though because last episode Kev was talking about going to Carniege but after watching that clip I’m not so sure he did go because I feel like if he had he wouldn’t now be back in Riverdale working at the school, he’d be onto bigger better things. Him being involved in the video tapes could explain why he didn’t go to that college if that is the case. But as I sai I don’t watch the show, I haven’t seen the full episode I’ve just seen the one clip so there could be something in the episode that exonerates him of my accusations.
So out of them all who do I think is most likely the voyeur? Well actually pretty much all of them. We know from the Mr Honey tape that the Voyeur is not working alone, there were six people in that video doing the murdering so there must be at least six people involved. There were three females and three males. So I think our ringleader is Donna and that she is accompanied by Polly, Evelyn (who seeing as we haven’t checked in on her in a good few episodes it possible she could have either been released from jail or escaped), Terry, Mr Honey and Kevin. All of these characters have a motive and they can all been linked, Donna knows Evelyn because she went to visit her in jail and they worked together to mess with Betty, Evelyn is connected to Polly and Kevin through the farm, Kevin is connected to Terry and Mr Honey. Several of them can also be linked to the Red suite or to film making in some way.
As for whether it was really Mr Honey being killed in the video I do have some thoughts on that. Firstly the bandage that was on Mr Honey’s hand all episode doesn’t appear to be on the victims hand, of course they could have taken if off. If we go with Mr Honey is one of the killers in the video then we still have the problem that no one in the video had a bandage on their hand. Another thing I thought of is if it is the real Mr Honey why bother putting a mask on him? Is it just for theatrics? In which case surely it would have been much scarier and dramatic if the viewer knew it was Mr Honey. So I’m kinda 50/50 on that one. If it is him then I don’t think that neccessarily means he wasn’t ever involved after all if it is Donna masterminding it all then it wouldn’t be the first time she’s killed someone on her side because they stopped being useful. But if it is him then Jughead could find himself in hot water considering he was the one who wrote the story about Mr Honey being murdered by his group of friends and then that actually happens, that looks very suspicious. But what about you guys do you think it was Mr Honey who was killed or do you think he’s lived to cancel prom another day?
Freaky Friction
Next I want to talk about the storyline of Jughead’s revenge fantasy story. I actually loved these parts of the episode, mostly. There were some things that I wasn’t quite ok with but for the most part it was really entertaining. I loved loved loved seeing the kids work together as a group. Also just them hanging out as a group. Those scenes where they were altogether are the kind of scenes I’ve been looking for all season, these characters are suppose to be friends and it was refreshing to see those interactions, the only thing that could have made it better would have been if Toni, Fangs and Sweet Pea were also included. What I found most interesting about this storyline was firstly, this whole concept of how the kids are really the monsters and how the town has become dark and corrupted. Jughead’s story kind of held a mirror up to both the kids and the town as a whole and showed just how dark they had become. I loved how that was a gradual realisation as well, like as the story went on Jughead is slowly beginning to see that. The other thing I thought was really interesting is the way Jughead depicts the characters in his story. So starting with the way Jughead wrote the charaters. To me they all seemed really ooc like none of them behaved the way I thought they would. For example it was interesting that he depicted Reggie as the one who can’t handle the aftermath of the murder and starts to slip up and cave and tell people about what they had done and that it was Archie who stopped him. The reason why I think this is interesting is because although we don’t know how Reggie would react in that situation, we have some idea of how Archie would because of the whole Jughead attempted murder thing. Now I know they are slightly different scenarios because Jughead didn’t die but we have to remember that in those first couple of days they didn’t know if Jughead was going to die and they also didn’t know if Betty had actually been the one to do it. So essentially they were acting how they would have if they were trying to cover up a murder. In that scenario it was actually Archie who nearly slipped up and told his mum what had happened. The only reason why he didn’t was because Betty saw what was happening and rang him up to warn him to stop talking. Later Archie actually does cave and tells his mum the truth about how Jughead had faked his death. So we know that really if Jughead had written the characters accurately then Archie should have been the one struggling not to tell anyone.
Also its interesting the way he depicts Reggie, as mostly throughout the series he and Reggie have been at odds with each other. In season 1 Reggie straight up bullied Jughead and there has been alot of conflict between Reggie and the Serpents in the rest of the seasons. But there have been moments when its really mattered where they have all come together. Given all the physical altercations he and Reggie have gotten into you’d think Jughead would write him as a violent unremorseful character but he doesn’t while he does have one scene where Reggie loses his temper and beats on Mr Honey for most of the story Reggie is seen being very regretful and guilty of his actions. I think this is because Jughea recognises that alot of Reggie’s anger and outbursts stem from the abuse he has suffered growing up. Reggie says to Archie that his dad has been hitting him for as long as he can remember. That has to have had an effect on him. I think Jughead knows that unltimately Reggie is a good person underneath it all.
Veronica was another one that wasn’t written the way I was expecting her to be. I’ve said this so many times in my other posts that you are probably getting bored of it but we have to remember to look at things from the character’s pov in situations like this. Obviously all of this is told from Jughead’s point of view. This is what makes it so interesting because in the past Jughead has villanized Veronica. In season 3 there was pretty much an all out war between his family and hers and he was fully aware of the fact that she was helping her parents with their schemes. She knew about Southside High being closed down yet acted like she didn’t and even tried to manipulate the situation in her parents favour, as nice as it was for her to greet the serpents and welcome them to the school she wasn’t doing that out of the kindness of her own heart it was because her parents told her to. She also knew about the prison and actively helped her parents bring that about. She got her redemption arc later when she then turned agaisnt her parents. But I feel like Jughead has always seen her as a cold, calculating person who is often influenced by her parents and I wouldn’t say they have been particularly close over the seasons. Also again, as with Archie, we know how she would react in a situation like this due to the whole Jughead is dead thing and in that situation in my opinion she was the calmer more logical thinking one out of the three. So its really interesting to me that in both versions of his story he wrote Veronica as the moral compass. I do have one theory on it though. If we are going on the assumption that Jughead has a negative and biased view of Veronica because of his family’s hardships at the hands of Veronica’s family and that he believes that Veronica is the one who is the most corrupt because of those events then maybe him putting Veronica in the position of being morally correct is his subconcious telling him there is still hope that they could escape the darkness of the town. Like if Veronica can turn things around then there is hope for them all. It’s possible that he has watched her fight her way out from under her parents thumb and escape their dark influence and make her own path and he actually kind of admires her for it. It’s been something he himself has tried to do in respect of getting away from his own family’s dark past and being the first Jones man to go to college. He’s been judged his whole life for where he comes from and who his family is and its something he has fought back against as long as we’ve known him, this whole idea of no you’re wrong I’m so much more than what you think I am. I think he is now starting to recognise that Veronica has been through that same thing too. From day one people have judged her for being Hiram Lodge’s daughter, that her family are criminals and she’ll be just the same. But as I’ve said he’s witnessed her journey and seen how she has fought to prove people wrong and make herself into the person she wants to be. I think this is a character trait that Jughead really respects and admires. This is why he then writes her as almost the heroine of the story.
Cheryl is also another one that behaves differently to how we’ve seen her at in the same situation in the real world. Its really intriguing that Jughead chose to write Cheryl the way he did. Again we know that when confronted with a dead body to get rid of and a murder to cover up, Cheryl will react calmly and in that situation she was the one that came up with the plan to get rid of the body and how to make sure her relatives stayed quiet she also showed little signs that it had effected her much afterwards. Yet in Jughead’s story she’s one of the most emotional. We and also Jughead have seen in the past that Cheryl tends to keep most of her emotions bottled up, she rarely really reacts to trauma. She tends to put on a brave face most of the time but then we’ve seen her show emotion enough to know that she is still capable of feeling emotion and that she is effected by what is happening around her but she tends to keep it all in check until it finally bubbles over. Out of everyone you could argue that Cheryl has had one of the roughest times on the show and I don’t think she is ever really given the time or space to properly process her trauma or grieve her losses. She’s been damaged by the things shes gone through and her parents abuse who I feel like taught her emotion was a weakness. We know that her mother often told her she was a loveless monster and heartless and I think on some level Cheryl believed her, it was something that plagues her as we see from her conversation with Toni at Pop’s after they saw Love, Simon. Her relationship with Toni is helping her realise this isn’t true but I still think those scars from her mother’s phsycological abuse run deep and I think this not being allowed to properly grieve was what led to that really unhealthy situation where she had Jason in her basement. What I think Jughead has done in his story is portrayed Cheryl how she probably should behave and react to this situation given her past traumas. He’s allowing her to let her emotions out and actually grieve. Maybe he recognises that she’s hiding behind a wall and feels some kind of sympathy for her and so in his story where he is the master of what happens he lets her process things in a more healthy way of crying it out to her friends.
Which brings me to the next part because if that is the case and he is trying to write Cheryl as processing things healthily then why does his own character of Jughead behave the way he does towards Cheryl and tell her to get ahold of herself and even potentially plans to kill her for showing emotion? Well I think the most interesting part of Jughead’s story is the way he depicts himself and Betty. Again these are characters where we’ve seen what their natural reaction to getting rid of dead bodies is. With the whole Shady Man plotline we saw both of them have very emotional reactions, Betty is seen throwing up and having flashbacks and Jughead looked visibly shaken when she told him about it. Betty again reacts the same way when she thinks she might have hurt Jughead we again see her throwing up and really struggling with it. Yet in Jughead’s story they are without a doubt the most ruthless and darkest out of all the characters in the story. It almost comes across as them enjoying it, they show no remorse for killing Mr Honey or Reggie and they ridicule the others for showing emotion like they see it as them being weak. They seem straight up psychotic at times. So why has he written them this way? Well some of it I think is his own fears making their way into his writing. I think he has this fear that they’ve all been through so much that by this point they are too damaged and that they will never fully escape the darkness of the town, that no matter where they go that darkness will follow them. I think this particularly hits home when Story Jughead says ‘are we going to be monsters in college or in jail.’ This to me seems like he doesn’t believe that leaving Riverdale will free them from all the pain and horrific events they’ve experienced. That this is something he fears. I feel like its a fear that alot of the other kids feel too. But I think Jughead fears the most that he and Betty are the ones that will struggle the most to leave it all behind. If you think about it he and Betty are the ones who are most often pulled into the murder and mayhem of the town by their investigative adventures. More and more willingly over time they went looking for mysteries to solve. I think it got to the point where they started to enjoy and almost become obsessed with solving these mysteries to the point where they are now almost in too deep. I also think it would be natural for Jughead to worry more about Betty the most as she’s the one he’s closest too. If you think about it the next darkest character in the original story is Archie who is the next closet person to him. The other interesting part though is when he rewrites the story he ‘saves’ Archie from his darkness and makes him a good guy who does the right thing. I think part of this is because he has seen Archie consistently try to do the right thing and so maybe he thinks this will somehow help spare Archie from being stuck in the darkness. But both he and Betty are still the dark characters who get no redemption in the end, I think this is because it is such a deep rooted fear that he believes neither he or Betty will ever be able to walk away from it all, that they will always be sucked back into another murder mystery.
I think another reason why he might have depicted them as the darkest of all the characters is because as Cheryl said they found each other in this town of nightmares. It was the darkness of Riverdale that their relationship was born out of. I made a post about how Archie sees the light in Betty well I feel like its the opposite for Jughead and he sees the darkness in her. Now before some of you start picking up your pitchforks and flaming torches I don’t necessarily mean that’s a bad thing. In fact in some ways its a good thing that Jughead can understand that darker part of her and that he accepts it, I feel like its what Betty needed at times. I also think it was important that Betty was also able to do the same for Jughead. But this only works if they are helping each other work through their darkness, which they used to do in the past.
And this is where we reach the true problem, that epiphany that Jughead reaches. These kids have stopped helping and supporting each other through the darkness, now instead they’ve started to encourage each others inner darkness. As Jughead says after he rewrites his story he realised that he was revelling in the town’s sickness and enjoying the suffering of another. This was true of all the kids. I liked this running theme, that ran simultaneously through both the story Jug was writing and the plotline of the kids going up against Mr Honey over prom, of the real monsters being the kids who have been corrupted by the town and all its happenings. I mean during the whole planning out the revenge fantasy and planning how to overthrow Mr Honey not one of them stopped to question whether what they were doing was right, not one of them called their friends out they all just encouraged each other and threw in their own ideas. I mean when Betty starts talking about how Mr Honey works late on tuesdays so they could sneak into school and kidknap him, Archie doesn’t comeback with wow Betty that’s really dark maybe we shouldn’t be thinking about this, instead he points out that Mr Honey would recognise them. It all just kind of snowballs from there. And yes I get that its all fiction and made up and its played off comically but its different when its set in a town where this sort of thing actually happens on a regular basis and, as Betty says herself, alot of lines in the story they have said in real life, I mean Betty, Jughead and Cheryl have been in the postion where they have had someone tied up, Cheryl has actually mapleboarded her mother which is what gave them that idea for the revenge fantasy. Some of them have legit had to get rid of a body before. Its the fact that while it might be made up they are getting the ideas from real life experiences that makes it seem all the more sinister.
The other disturbing thing to though is throughout most of the episode the kids don’t recognise that they are the bad guys. They see Mr Honey as this enemy because when you think about it every person in town in twisted in some way, that’s what’s normal for riverdale. I think its very telling that the first thing Betty plans to do when thinking of a plan to overthrow Honey and get prom back is look for skeletons. Again she does this because that’s just how Riverdale works, everyone has a secret that they are hiding or some dark past they don’t want anyone to know about and using blackmail to get what you want is just a normal way to deal with things in Riverdale and its been this way for so long now that the kids don’t even see why that’s wrong. I saw alot of comments saying about how they thought the way the kids were behaving with Mr Honey was wrong and that he was in the right most of the time when he was punising the students, like he was right when he punished Cheryl for locking her coach in a room and causing that coach to have a panic attack, the tickle gang were wearing school uniforms in those videos which could give the school a bad rep, he didn’t know that Betty didn’t cheat on the quiz and if as the evidence suggested she had then banning her from prom was the right thing to do. There were some things he did that were very questionable and as I said above I’m not completley sold on him being a good guy. But all these comments are right, for the most part he behaved as a normal strict principal would in most of those situations. But we have to look at it from the kids point of view and remember that the majority of the adults they’ve had in their lives have been abusive or manipulative and done some pretty awful things to them so its not at all surprising that these kids would see Honey’s actions as him being out to get them afterall that’s what a normal adult in riverdale would be doing. I think the most worrying part though is that it almost seemed like on some level the kids didn’t want things to change. For example when Jughead told Honey not to mess with them in their own town or how when Honey pointed out the all the murder, mayhem and depravity in the town was not normal, Betty replied it was normal to them. I feel like the kids are stuck in this limbo where some part of them wants to escape and get out of Riverdale and another part of them is afraid of leaving what is normal to them. Whilst Riverdale and its ways are not normal to the rest of the world its what these kids know and understand. I just thought this idea of holding up a mirrror to the town and showing just how effected the residents of riverdale and the kids in particular was a really interesting one that they explored this episode.
I’m Not So Sure About That
Ok so I do want to quickly talk about the parts that I had a bit of an issue with. Firstly I really didn’t like that Jughead used Reggie’s abuse at the hands of his father as a plotpoint in his story. This story was being sent off to a College where other people, strangers that Reggie doesn’t know will read it. Ok so Jughead was going to change the names but even so something about it seemed wrong to me. I also feel like it is something that happens alot with Jughead’s writing to, he wrote about Jason Blossom without taking into consideration how it might be traumatic for Cheryl to know a book about her brother’s murder at the hands of her father is being read by people worldwide. Especially when she is trying to move on from it. Also he did the same with Betty where he was going to write one about her father which she got understandably upset about. I just feel like we are seeing this pattern of Jughead using his friends’ traumas for his writing without asking them first. Like I understand that he is drawing from his own experiences like he was heavily involved in solving these mysteries but it still didn’t seem right. Like if they had written in a quick scene or line where he talks to those who will be effected and was like hey I want to write this story, I think its important people know this story, I’m going to change the names, is it ok for me to do this, then it might have been a bit better.
The other thing I was conflicted or even confused about was Jughead writing Betty the way he did, as Dark Betty and how ok Betty was with it. Now I did explain above why he might have done this but I’m still somewhat conflicted about it because I feel like this season Betty has really struggled with this whole dark side of herself to the point where she thought she might actually have hurt someone she loved and where she was willing to be hypnotised so she could kill her dark self. It seemed a bit insensitive for Jughead to then write Betty as Dark Betty and I was genuinely confused as to why Betty seemed to like it so much. I feel like she was a bit ooc this episode in that respect and it almost felt to me that she had gone backwards. I mean she had made all this progress before where she had moved on from this darkside of herself she had wanted to move away from the whole murder mysteries and focus more on other things and now its like she is being sucked back in again. I do think some of it is because thats the dynamic of her relationship with Jughead, they go on murder mysteries together and they’re both a little dark and twisted. But I can’t help but wonder if you take that away what’s left? What would their relationship look like without that stuff because I feel like its such a big part of them. I think the other part is as a mentioned above as much as these kids want to escape they also don’t want to leave what’s familiar to them.
The other thing that I found a little odd and this one is minor, but when did Archie tell them about going to the Naval Academy? Because it seemed like a big decision for him but it was kind of just brushed over. I mean Jughead clearly knows about the Naval Academy because he writes into the story and Betty must know to because she didn’t have much of a reaction to reading it. The only thing I could think of is that Archie mentioned he had applied but they don’t know yet if he has got in. I’m pretty sure Jughead in the story said he was going to Iowa but we don’t know if he has got in yet. Obviously in that scene though they had to say they were going for it to fit the scene seeing as they were all listing the colleges they were going to. If that was it though its a bit disappointing as they made a bit of  a big deal out of him questioning whether to go and I feel like him telling his friends he’s going would be kind of something we should see. But I guess they still might ave a scene where he confirms he’s going to his friens, we’ll have to wait and see.
The fact that Toni, Fangs and Sweet Pea weren’t included in this episode. I’m assuming that they had some good reason why they weren’t included like scheduling or something but still I would have liked to have seen them in those scenes.
The Bits I liked
Ok so now I want to talk about the bits I liked. I loved the comedy in this episode. Like it was dark humor but it was still good, I laughed alot during this episode at just how ridiculous some of it was and I do think that was the point they weren’t expecting you to take it seriously it was meant to be fun and it was. Some of my favourite moments was Archie suggesting he could sneak up on Honey and knock him out then when it shows the story acting it out Archie just runs straight at him and punches him in the face, no subtlety, no sneaking just pure chaotic energy. Everyone putting up their hands when asked whose got experience dealing with a body before and  Reggie commenting on how was he the only one who hadn’t dealt with a dead body before was another golden moment. I also loved the scene when the parents are confronting Honey and FP says he and Tom are just the muscle. I gotta admit as well that as sorry as I felt for him there was something very amusing about seeing Mr Honey being wheeled out of his office while stuck to his chair and with the hand still glued to the phone. There were just so many comedy gold moments throughout the episode.
Reggie. Just Reggie as a person, he was great in this episode I loved every minute he was on screen and I really hope we get to see more of him in season 5.
The scene where the kids recruit the parents and they all come walking slow mo down the hall and then threaten Mr Honey with lawyers and governors and scathing news articles (and of course the muscle) was amazing.
Also the scene with the parents and the kids celebrating at Pop’s was really sweet with everything the parents were saying it did feel a bit like the end of a chapter like the parents are getting ready for their kids to fly the nest.
Season 5 Predictions and Theories.
Ok to finish off I want to talk about what I think might happen next for our Riverdale gang. I’ve based some of this off of the interviews that I have read since watching the episode and on what’s happened in the show already and where I logically think the show can/ will go from here. First I want to address the issue that there’s been some talk that the time jump might not happen. This is based off of an interview RAS gave where the reporter asked if the time jump will still happen and this is what RAS replied:
Tumblr media
So obviously this has caused some confusion as to whether the time jump will still happen. I personally feel like even though its going to be more difficult then doing it between seasons it is still something they should do. I feel like it could be a bit of a mess trying to follow them while they are all at colleges miles away from each other. I mean only Toni and Cheryl are going to the same school so they would have to build at least 5 new sets for each of the colleges. I feel like it would be kind of impossible for the group to interact when they are all at different schools. Alternately they do some storyline where none of them go to the colleges they wanted to and they all end up at local colleges which is kinda what they did with Gossip Girl and to be honest it turned into a bit of a mess. By the mid point of the season the audience wasn’t even sure if they were still even in college because they would never go and it just stopped making sense. They could try and draw out a storyline set in the summer right before they go to college up until the midseason finale and then do the 5 year time jump inbetween the mid season break. They did this with Pretty Little Liars and while it was a little jarring it worked slightly better than Gossip Girl trying to follow them through college. My personal preference would be for them to stick with what they planned orignally and finding a way to make that work so still have the time jump after episode 4x22/5x03. It’s not ideal I know but I feel like ultimately it will make more sense from a storytelling point of view. But seeing as it is so uncertain I am going to base my preditions off of the assumption there will be a time jump as planned.
FP and Hermione
So we know that FP and Hermione won’t be in season 5 past episode 3 as the actors are leaving the show. However RAS has confirmed that neither character will die and that he hopes that they may be able to return now and again in the same way that they have Mary Andrews pop in and out when the narrative allows it. So if they aren’t dying how might they be written out of the show. Well this is where the time jump could come in handy. If Veronica goes to Barnard then maybe the Lodges or just Hermione move back to New York to be close to her. When whatever draws them back to Riverdale happens it wouldn’t be unreasonable for Hermione to choose to stay in New York. Maybe Hiram either doesn’t leave Riverdale to start with I mean he is Mayor, or if he did maybe he also comes back to keep an eye on Veronica. As for FP I think with Betty and Jughead going to college maybe FP and Alice decide that they’ve had enough of Riverdale and all the crap they’ve been through and so they decide to move out of town and raise Jelly Bean somewhere a little more kid friendly you know where she might not be murdered or roped into joining a cult or running drugs for a gang. Then when Betty is back in Riverdale maybe Alice comes back to help with whatever is going on.
The Love Square.
So based off the interviews we know that ep 20 was going to be the prom episode, that 21 was one where alot of emotional journeys climaxed and that 22 was graduation. We know that at some point Jughead and Veronica will find out about what happened between Archie and Betty and RAS did confirm two things one was that it won’t be the video tapes that outs them. The second is that they both find out in different ways.
In regards to Veronica and Archie I think Veronica is going to find out in the prom episode. This is what RAS said about it:
Tumblr media
From what he is saying here about how we haven’t seen the last of the song Archie wrote for Betty I think it might be the song that gives him away. Now it could be that he sings it at Prom but I’m not sure why he would do that. Realistically you are not going to sing a song that you wrote about your childhood friend who you’ve caught feelings for and who is dating your best guy friend while at prom with your girlfriend. So I feel like someone is either going to find a recording of the song (we know that Archie sometimes records his songs as we’ve seen him play them from a portable recorder and his laptop) or someone will overhear him singing it. This could be Cheryl as she does like to meddle in things and cause some chaos. But maybe whoever hears the song puts Archie on the spot and asks him to sing it at prom leaving him with no other choice. Its possible that Veronica then realises that its not about her and there is some big dramatic blowout between them.A more awkward situation would be if something happens at the prom that prompts Archie’s mum to go on stage and suggest that Archie come up and sing as a way to distract from whatever drama is going down. Trying to be helpful maybe she asks if he can sing that beautiful song he wrote for Veronica. Again this puts Archie right on the spot as now everyone is expecting him to sing and Veronica is there beaming at him thinking he’s written some love song for her only to realise as he sings it that its not actually about her. Maybe this then forces him to come clean to Veronica and then they break up.
Another option is that on Prom day/night Veronica either finds the song, either written in his notebook or a recording of it, or is mother mentions it to her and thats when she realises he’s written a song about someone else. Understandably this puts her in a bit of a bad mood but she doesn’t want to spoil the night so she quietly seeths for a bit until eventually during prom Archie having recognised she’s in a bad mood asks whats wrong and she can’t keep it in anymore and confronts him.
Option 3 is again someone finds the recording and they download it and then play it at prom as oppose to Archie signing it live. I could see a potential scenario like this happening if Cheryl were to find the song and decides she really likes it and wants it to play while she and Toni have their prom queens dance so she just takes it and gives it to the DJ to play. Then we get the same as I’ve said before, Veronica confronts Archie he confesses and they realise their realtionship isn’t going anywhere. I feel like finding out about the kiss will bring up alot of other things they need to talk about too such as where their relationship is going in regards to what happens when they go to college and that kind of thing.
As for Jughead and Betty RAS doesn’t mention anything about them in this interview in regards to prom but in another he does say that when they were looking at the footage of 4x20 to see if they could patch an episode together a big part of the reason why they chose not to was because they hadn’t yet filmed some important character scenes between Archie and Veronica and Betty and Jughead. So we know something important happens between Betty and Jughead during the prom episode but I don’t feel like its actually at prom because RAS said they had already filmed the big event. RAS had also said that after everything happened with Barchie Betty was feeling good about returning to Jughead and that she was trying to reconnect with him. To be honest this makes sense to me and we saw a bit of it in episode 19. I did feel like Betty seemed to be trying a little too hard with Jughead she just seemed more touchy feely with him than she usually is. We all said that we thought she would throw herself back into that relationship and really try to focus on it to distract herself. This is the same behaviour as the last time she and Archie kissed. Just pretend it didn’t happen and put extra attention on her relationship with Jughead. It would also make sense for her to feel good about it as she has convinced herself she made the right choice, Here’s the thing though RAS said trying to reconnect he doesn’t say anything about succeeding in that. Also Betty is being untruthful with Jughead right now by not being honest with him about what happened with Archie. So long as she is being untruthful with him its not going to work between them. Eventually its going to come out and its going to be made worse by the fact that Betty has been lying to him. RAS says this about episode 21:
Tumblr media
He also in another interview said this about Betty an Jughead’s relationship:
Tumblr media
So I could see a couple of things happening here. One it’s still possible that Jughead finds out about Archie and Betty in the prom episode just maybe not at prom itself. It could be that Veronica finds out earlier in the episode and then Jughead finds out at the very end of the episode and its the cliffhanger for the episode which would leave things unresolved between Betty and Jughead. RAS says that in episode 21 alot of emotional stories climax meaning they come to a head or to the end. He also says before graduation Betty and Jughead have a big, difficult conversation about their future as they are going to different schools. The thing is similar to how I think its going to go with Veronica and Archie I do think that this big, difficult conversation will start off about what happened with Betty and Archie and then evolve from there into a discussion about where there relationship can go from here considering they are going to different schools. I do think it’ll be in episode 21 that Betty and Jughead will break up. As for how I think Jughead might find out we know its different from how Veronica does. Also RAS when asked if Barchie were truly over mentioned how Betty kept her diary which suggests that as we suspected will come back into play. I actually think it’ll be through the diary that Jughead finds out and I think that’s why so much focuss was put on these two items (the song and the diary) in episode 18 because these were the things that were going to reveal the truth about Barchie. I think its possible that at the end of the prom episode they’ve made it home after prom and maybe Betty is grabbing a shower or something and while she’s out the room Jughead knocks the diary off the side or desk and it falls open at the page where Betty wrote about the kiss. As Jughead picks it up off the floor the words catch his eye and he can’t help but read what it says. At that moment is when Betty comes back into the room and Jughead looks up from the diary to her and thats when it cuts to black.
Another option is that Jughead doesn’t find out in ep 20 but in ep 21 they talk about what’s going to happen after graduation and decide they are going to make a long distance thing work. Then either at the end of ep 21 or the beginning of ep 22 he finds out about the kiss through the diary, another way he could see the diary is if someone else finds the diary pages about Barchie and decides to make a photocopy and send it to Jughead, maybe Jellybean is snooping in Betty’s room for some reason and wants to protect her brother but doesn’t want anyone to know she read Betty’s diary so she sends it instead. After a confrontation they then break up.
Then graduation will be this really emotional bittersweet episode where the core four will be broken apart but also coming together to celebrate the end of this stage of their lifes then they will all go their separate ways.
As a quick interjection I have seen some speculation that maybe Jughead and Betty will get engaged. I personally don’t think its likely, I’ve not seen any hints myself that suggest that may happen. I think from the sounds of this difficult conversation they are going to have its more likely they break up and it does seem like the goal was to break up the core four for the time jump. However one scenario where this could happen is if they get engaged before he finds out about Barchie and then they break up after he finds out. While I’ll admit that would bring alot of drama to the show I personally really really don’t want that to happen. The main reason for this is, and I know some might disagree with me here, but one thing I hated, like really hated, last time they kissed in season 2 was how Betty then slept with Jughead before telling him the truth about Archie. Now anyone who has read my barchie analysis for ep 17 will know that I don’t hate characters for making a mistake, so I want to make it clear that I still love Betty and I’m not hating on her when I say this I recognise that she is a young girl who is still making mistakes and growing. But like I said for me I thought it was wrong of Betty to take that next big step with Jughead whilst he was in the dark about the kiss. I feel like he should have been given the option to walk away from her without having taken that next step if he wanted to break up with her because of it. Whilst we know now that Jughead doesn’t break up with her when he finds out there was no way of knowing that at the time. What makes it worse was that Jughead was honest with Betty about how he had done stuff with Toni when they were separated. I just wish Betty had returned the favour and had also been honest. I feel like if she were to get engaged to him without him knowing about what happened with Archie it would be the same situation. I just feel like if you are going to be making these big steps in a relationship then you need to do it with all your cards shown. It kinda reminds me of the situation in this movie I loved growing up called The Wedding Date, if you haven’t seen it then I’m sorry but I’m about to spoil it for you (to be fair it did come out in 2005) so skip this part if you want but its where a bride is revealed to have been sleeping with her sisters ex and cheating on her fiance, the ex also happens to be the grooms best friend, there’s this one scene where the sister confronts the bride when she says she plans to tell her fiance the truth but after the wedding, and the sister sarcastically tells her that she should pick the right time because when he finds out she has been cheating on him ‘he won’t feel like the whole world is collapsing around him and there’s no escape because you tricked him into marrying you.’ I feel like this would be a similar situation if Betty were to accept Jughead’s proposal without telling him that she cheated with Archie. It might make Jughead feel more trapped if they are engaged. With every new step they take together its going to be worse when Jughead does eventually find out. Anyway I feel like I’ve just gone completely off course here. But yeah it could potentially happen, it would definitely be drama filled but while I might be a Barchie shipper I still love Jughead and I would hate to see him crushed like that.
So I’ve spoken about the other two couples so what do I think will happen with Barchie? Well as I said Veronica and Archie will break up in ep 20, Jughead and Betty I reckon will be ep 21 and I think Barchie will come in ep 22. In his interviews RAS said that Betty’s emotional affair with Archie reconfirmed her feelings for Jughead. Again I feel like this makes sense. I said myself that I felt like Betty choosing Jughead had more to do with not wanting to lose Jughead than it did with how she felt about Archie. Thinking back on it, twice now this season Betty has been confronted with this possibilty of losing Jughead, first with his attempted murder and then when she cheated. Jughead isn’t just someone she loves he and their relationship is something familiar to her and so I think she is clinging to that out of fear or not knowing what her life will look like without him in it. She got a small taste of what it was like to be at different schools when he was at Stonewall and it was during these times that she drifted closer to Archie. The thing is she hasn’t yet had to fully comprehend what it’ll be like to lose Archie. I think when she ended it with him at no point did she believe that she could lose Archie by ending it. I think she just knew he would still be there for her even if they weren’t romantically involved. Again this thinking would make sense as the last time they kissed after despite the fact that they didn’t get together he was still there for her. Archie has been this constant in her life and I think in ep 22 there will come a moment maybe at graduation or right after where she will realise this is it, they are going to go their separate ways and that she might not ever see him again. I could see it happen while everyone is sitting around at the graduation after party and they’re all talking about what their plans are next and maybe Archie says something like he’s not sure if he’ll come back to riverdale after he’s done with the navy. I do think they will then have a really emotional goodbye scene where they both admit they have feelings for each other but accept that now just isn’t the right time for them. My ultimate fantasy would be if they then make a pact that in 5 years time they’ll meet back in Riverdale and see where they stand with each other. I do think if they ended the episode there it would be nice follow on for the next episode where it is 5 years in the future.
What Brings Them All Back
So if they do go with the time jump then what is it that could bring them all back to Riverdale 5 years later? The obvious one would be someone is murdered so they all come back for the funeral and end up staying to solve the mystery. I mean its definitely possible but I feel like from some of the interviews and the direction they have taken this season so far that they are setting up the show to have a huge shift in focus. A time jump could be a great way of kind of resetting the show and turning it into something new and well I think they are running out of ideas for the whole murder mystery type genre and  I think people are getting a little tired of it too, so they might shift it to focus more on just a drama full of adult life obstacles and problems. No murders or cults or any of that, maybe turn it more into a later seasons gossip girl, One tree hill or 90210 type of show. In that case I can think of three possible reasons why they come back. 1) There is a 5 year high school reunion. 2) At graduation they all made a pact together to all return to riverdale on that exact day 5 years later so they could see where everyone ended up. 3) This ones my favourtie, what if Choni are getting married and they all come back for the wedding. Whatever the reason for them coming back I do feel like something will happen that will keep them all there. It could be like a One Tree Hill type thing where they came back because nathan was injured but found reasons to stay for example Peyton wanted to open her own recording label and said she needed inspiration which One tree hill was giving her (but lets be honest she also stayed for lucas). Brooke stays because she decides to open a store there. I could see something similar happening here. If they do a time jump of five years to skip over their time in college then they still have a problem with one of the characters Archie. When Brooke (the woman from the navy academy) told him about the navy academy she said it was four years at the academy and then five years on active duty in the navy. That means 9 years away so if the time jump is only 5 years then Archie will still be in his first year of active duty in the navy. However it is possible that they will go with a storyline where Archie is injured in his first year of active duty and has to be medically discharged from the navy or at the very least take time off to recover. This could be what brings the rest of them back to riverdale as they all want to help and support Archie in his recovery. It would be a rather tragic stroyline for Archie as he would go through all that training, work on his boxing career only for it to all be torn away from him. If they do it right it could be a very emotional and moving storyline and it would take the show in a different direction but still have storylines that the audience can get invested in. They could make the show more about human emotions and real life struggles and the relationships of the characters as oppose to all the wacky, strange mysterious murder stuff.
So that is where I could see Archie being post time jump, he went the academy things went really well for him, then during his first year of active duty a sustains a life changing injury. He then has to go on this journey of dealing with this traumatic event thats happened to him and recovering from his injury. It would be a story about healing.
As for Veronica I think she would have graduated from Barnard with a business degree and would now be foucced on growing her La Bonne Nuit into a franchise or something similar to that. Or maybe La Bonne Nuit isn’t doing so well so she wants to reinvitalise it and restore it to its former glory. I do think she’ll return to Riverdale engaged though. Likely to a rich and ambitious kind of fellow. I also feel like either she would have already gotten close to Jughead over the break or she will start to get close to Jughead when they are all back. I think this joint betrayal will bring them closer together. I don’t know if it would be a romantic situation but if they did do that I could see them as doing something similar to Spencer and Caleb on PLL in the sense of they have both broken up with their S/O and are feeling lost and end up connecting with each other. Now I don’t think their relationship would neccessarily go the same way as Spaleb went but I could see it starting out the same way in that they connect through the hurt they are feeling about their break ups.
Jughead I could see struggling to get a book published after leaving Barnard or maybe it’ll be the same thing as Lucas on OTH where he’s had one book that’s done really well but now the pressure is on him to give his publishers another one. Maybe this is why he stays in Riverdale as a way of drawing inspiration.
As for Betty again she would have graduated from Yale. I could see her going one of two ways, either shes looking into journalism or I do think she could start training with the FBI. It would be a good way of tying Charles back into the storyline if he doesn’t turn out to be evil and it does seem to me like Betty really enjoys being in the Junior FBI program. We also know how much she loves to solve mysteries so I could definitely see Betty coming back as an FBI agent.
Choni as I mentioned above I feel like they will be getting married. I think they’ll probably still have custody of the twins who will be much older now which could be quite fun to see. As for job wise I’m not sure where they’d be. I’m assuming Cheryl will still be doing the family Maple business. Maybe Toni goes into photography of something like that, I’m sure there was a storyline where she said she liked photography when we first met her, but I could be wrong on that. I feel like Cheryl probably kept in touch with Betty over the years and Toni probably kept in touch with Jughead.
So yeah that’s what my predictions for season 5 are.
Final Thoughts
So overall I thought this last episode was really good. It was a fun episode to end on. A huge well done to Madchen because she did an amazing job directing this episode, not that I’m surprised she is an absolute queen afterall.  It would have been nice to see the prom and graduation but I’m happy knowing that we will get to see them in season 5. I think this season as a whole was good. I thought the storyline around Stonewall Prep was really interesting and I am intrigued to know who is behind the video tapes. I loved that we got to see Charles and that he has been interacting with Jughead and Betty, I think seeing that sibling bond grow has been fun, lets just keep our fingers crossed it doesn’t all end in tears. Obviously I loved the Barchie storyline we got and I am glad that they seem to be changing things up in the show. I think it was starting to feel a little stagnant and stale and I do think that by changing up the relationships and having different characters interact with each other like Toni and Reggie, and Veronica and Cheryl, I think we need to see some more variety in the interactions in the show. Also it does seem to me like that might move away from the murder mystery part of it which could be interesting. I do think this whole idea of them forcing the characters to see the darkness of Riverdale is what will ultimately make the characters change their ways and heal Riverdale. I do think season 5 could be a season about healing, the town healing, the people healing and the relationships healing. So thats it for now, we’ve got a bit of a wait but as always thank you so much to everyone who read to the end of this.

aliyah, what is your opinion on riverdale? esp the musical episodes if u have seen them. i feel like u have good nd funny takes i wanted to know some of your thoughts pls
omg i feel honored to give my opinions. so i stopped watching riverdale half way through season two because it started to get convoluted but lucky for u my dear sweet friend i have seen enough clips of the musical epsiodes to give a good enough opinion.
SO
they’re all shitty with shitty singing and the only good one is the actor that plays Kevin ( the actors name slips my mind ) but it isnt surprising because he has a musical background LIKE FOR CHRIST SAKE HIS BROTHER was Jack Kelly on broadway at some point ( if i remember correctly it might have not been newises but he was still there )
Heathers is one of my favorite musicals so I was rightfully pissed with the way they went with it all they did was sexualize the teens to THE MAX while still using the high school version of the show ( for some reason ??? ) like whatt the fuck was that almost threesome in the middle of the fucking auditorium ????
as for Carrie i do not know much about the musical I only know maybe two songs from the actual show BUT they still did fucking horrible with it LIKE no hate to the actress that plays Cheryl but they girl keeps singing parts that aren’t correct for her voice which makes her sound awful.
I did not see any of the Hedwig they did besides the fact that Kevin got a lot more singing time along with screen time and he deserves that he was my fave before i gave up on the show.
They way the portray characters that are underage as reliant on sex is disgusting and should not be in a show that revolves around teenagers. Yes teenagers have sex BUT they take it way to far in the show where you cant go one episode without seeing more than 3 sexual scenes NOT only is it uncomfortable IT is also disgusting that they rely so much on the fetish of watching teens have sex that it just clogs the show.
EVERYTHING THEY DO DOES NOT MAKE SENSE. EVERYTHING. In the beginning the show was really good, they did fairly well with the way they portrayed teens and how they went about solving mysteries but around mid season too any good writing that they had was thrown out the window i honestly do not even know how they got more than three season with the way the show has been written since that point.
also all that back and forth of will they wont they with Archie and Betty is just a mess, they keep cheating on Jug and Veronica AND THE LAST EPISODES OF THEM I WAS SO READY TO HAVE MY BARCHIE RIGHTS BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO THE MOMENT ANYONE GIVE A HETERO COUPLE RIGHTS WE ARE DISAPPOINTED
both bughead and varchie are toxic. and Betty should have deadass broke up with him after whatever the fuck that solo was in the Hedwig episode and stayed broken up with him.
the only reason i really give barchie rights is because 1. im a sucker for the childhood friends to lovers trope 2. i grew up reading the comics so to have them not as the staple relationship of the show is strange for me
As they are trying WAY WAY TO HARD to push the good girl tries to fix the guy from the other side of the tracks while also turning into a bad girl trope and it is not working
varchie is just a relationship that happened because Jug and Betty are together and no i will not hear an argument
the show sucks.
i only keep up with it through what people say on tumblr and when tv show/movie commentary channels on youtube do a video on it, so thats why i sometimes reblog stuff about it or post about it and why i know enough of what happens.
I M J U S T S O U P S E T riverdale had so much potential to be any amazing show but with lazy writers the only thing that is even slightly keeping peoples attention is how insane literally every episode is
i did not think i would rant this much or even get this upset but it is SOOOOO infuriating.
SOOOOOOOOO I HOPE YOU LIKE THIS RANT :)

The final part Dollies, hope you like it and it tells you everything you need to know.
Happy Reading Dollies.
Thank you all.❤❤
Reggie drove you to the house, you were nervous. You haven't seen your mom since the night in the hospital. Having left off on a bad mood, you thought you would make up until you suspect your mother being involved in your beating with the Ghoulies. "Don't say anything Reggie, don't hint or talk about it until I bring it up, got it"? "Yeah, I want to know too but I'll let you talk first". He turned the knob and entered with you behind him. Your mom was standing at the door way, waiting for you with a hug. Has she lost her mind? "Hi mom". You somewhat patted her back. "Hello, sweet heart, how are you doing"? "I'm doing better but after what I found out today things have taken a turn for the worse". "Oh god, you're pregnant"! She threw up her hands, heading to the kitchen with the knifes. "No I'm not and if I was does it matter"? "Yes it does, you will never be excepted into this world". "What the fuck are you talking about, you crazy lady"? "Don't take that tone with me". She took the knife from the roast sitting on the counter, pointing it at you. You stepped back. "It was you"? "Oh what do you mean"? She went back to carving the roast. "Telling the Ghoulies where I was". "You did that to your own daughter"? "Why"? "I thought if you would see that Sweet Pea was a bad person and associates with trash you would leave him but you didn't, so I had to take matters into my own hands". "By trying to kill me"? "You just got your ribs bruised, that’s all". "I was in the hospital for three weeks, with those just bruised ribs".  "You didn't even try to make up, but I guess if my plan didn't work, I wouldn't want to either". "I can't see why you have a problem with Sweet Pea, he has always been nice when you saw him". "He is Southside scum and I will not have my name be talked around town that I am associated with them". Her voiced turned angry. "We lived in southside before you got married to Reggie's dad". "That was home to us". "We both grew up there". "I am better than that now, so were you until you started hanging around them again but now you're just trash like the rest of them". She spat, her words cold like ice. "So you tried to take out the trash, starting with your daughter"? "I see". "You know, you're just a gold digging whore, white trash, northsider wanna be little bitch and I'm glad that I'm Southside, I know I wont turn out like you". She was shocked, coming around the corner still carrying the knife. "I got me out of that shit hole you call home and I will never go back, not you or anyone else will take this away from me". "No one". "So all this was about you"? "If I wasn't around, you wouldn't have to hear about it"? "Right". "Then why not just leave me alone, let me live my life, you could go on and act like you don't have a daughter"? "Cause every time I would walk out that damn door, all I would hear is how is Y/N, why is she living on the southside with a Serpent"? "I was sick of it, it made my life hell". "Even your step-dad kept asking why you aren't coming home, like he really cares about you"? "You know I thought Reggie was the attention seeking whore of the family but he's looking mighty good right now compared to you". "I should have let your dad take you with him when he left". She turned around going back to the counter. "You should have, dad was right, all you do care about is yourself thats why he left". "What do you know, you were three when he left us in that shit trailer park". "When I was sixteen I found him and got into contact, I've seen him about a hundred times behind your back". "He loves me for who I am unlike you". "He only loves the Serpents and his whores". She scoffed You laughed. "Yeah he loves the Serpents, they're family but the only whore he loved was you, you're the one that was running around, I have no clue how you snagged Reggies dad, he's way out of your southside league". Thats when she snapped, running at you with the knife. She had sliced your arm from your wrist to your elbow as you shielded yourself from the stab. She stepped back, looking confused. Reggie and his dad came running in. "What's going on in here"? He asked looking at her than at your arm. "She attacked me, again". "Again, where else are you hurt"? He looked you over. "That night after you hauled in Sweet Pea she found some Ghoulies and had me attacked". "You what"? "She was ruining my plans, my life". She cried, sliding down the wall. "So you attack her"? "She is messing up my perfect image". She yelled at him, throwing a tantrum on the floor, kicking and screaming, with the knife still in her hand. "You didn't have anything to do with this"? You asked him as he wrapped a towel around your arm. "At first, just with bringing Sweet Pea in that was suppose to scare you into breaking up with him but after that I didn't know she was going that far". "Reggie and you are innocent, I thought it was you two trying to get rid of me cause of the Serpents and Sweet Pea"? "Yes we don't like the Serpents but we would never hurt you, I can't believe you thought that". "When Reggie found out about Pea and I, I thought you would do anything to stop us from being together"? "I tried but you seemed to love him and what am I to do about your love for him". "When she found out it didn't work, she did go a little crazy, she changed". "Yeah, I can see that". "What should we do"? "Reggie has called a ambulance for you and the cops for her". He looked down at your mother still withering on the floor, like a fish out of water. "He also called Sweet Pea, I know you want him here". "Thanks...dad". You smiled at him, he grinned from ear to ear. "I'm glad to have you as a daughter but I made a mistake with your mother". "You've always been nice to me, helping me adjust to living with your son, I just want to say thanks". "I know we aren't the easiest people to deal with and I was hard on Sweet Pea and you and I'm sorry about it, I didn't mean for you to get hurt". "Its okay, now I know where true family lies". "Blood or not". Hearing the sirens pull up to your house and the roars the bikes. Your step-dad helped you up and walked you to the front door. Sweet Pea pushed everyone one out of the way to get to you. He stopped at he saw the blood, then looked at your Step-dad. "What have you done to her". He pulled him off of you. "Pea, he's cool, he had nothing to do with it". "My mom did this, she did everything". "Are you okay"? "Yeah, just alittle shaken but I'm fine now that you are here". Sweet Pea kissed your head as the paramedics came to you, taking you to the ambulance. "Was it all because of me"? Sweet Pea asked your Step-dad. "Yes and no, her mom had this thing that Y/N was trying to ruin her image as a northsider". "I beginning to think she's crazy". "She is, after going after Y/N she needs help". "She'll get help, but don't think about that, Y/N needs you now". You were getting patched up, you looked and saw your Step-dad and Sweet Pea talking and getting along, it made you happy. Then an horrible screech came from inside the house. The police tried handcuffing your mother but she slipped for their grips and came after Sweet Pea. Sweet Pea struggled with her as Sheriff Keller pulled her by her waist trying to get her off. Your heart stopped. "Someone help him, get her off". You screamed. Finally she let go but not with out damage. Paramedics rushed to Pea, his arms hand claw marks and bite marks. She laughed as they took her to the cop car, blood around her mouth. Sweet Pea looked horrified but as he came down he smiled and mouthed he was okay. You had held it in for so long that the tears flowed and didn't stop until you where in the hospital sitting beside Sweet Pea as you both got stitched up, with your head on his shoulder. "You know during all of this I forgot that next week we graduate". Pea spoke bringing you out of the daze you where in. "Wow, I forgot too". "Wont you miss the years in high school"? You asked giggling. "No, especially these past few months but the only good things that came out of it was you and my friends". "I don't know where I would be with out you all". "Pea I love you". "I love you too, college better be better than this". He chuckled. "It will be, you'll have me". You looked up at him, he was the best thing to happen to you and you weren't letting go.
A week later. "I'd like to congratulate the class of 2018, well done, you are free to spread your wings and fly". Principal Weatherbee spoke over the clapping. Both your father and step-father was front roll to see their daughter graduate. The crowd of students went wild, throwing their hats in the air. Sweet Pea grabbed you and kissed you as the hats fell. Jughead kissed Betty as Toni and Cheryl kissed while Archie and Veronica kissed, with Fangs and Kevin looking awkwardly at each other. Riverdale high was just a piece of cake that you had to eat, yes it was bitter half way through it but it ended on a sweet note and you wouldn't trade it for any other cake out there. Sweet Pea and you went to college together, he studied to be a lawyer to help the Serpents when the town of Riverdale was breathing down their necks. Which was all the time, he had his hands full but he did it for his family. You decided to become a teacher, you wanted to teach the next generation that there is no Southside and Northside, there is just friends and family. Your family taught you that and you wanted to pass it on. Since you somewhat came from both, you knew what they would be getting into.

Paper Heart- a Jughead imagine
So I found this list of prompts and I LOVED them all! I figured this one specifically fit Juggy pretty well so I kinda just went with it! Hope you like it! if y'all want me to do any more of those prompts end me which on and what character/person!
Prompt: I gave you the most heartfelt love letter and you gave it back to me with spelling and punctuation corrections?!
Tumblr media
Y/N sat at the desk in her room, her head in her hands as she pulled at the roots of her hair. In front of her sat a blank page and a pencil which had been picked up, twirled and just a few minutes ago thrown across the room, which of course Y/N had to go retrieve with huff. On the floor there were small piles of crumpled up paper thrown about each with different variations of the same story written. And on her bed sat her two best friends Betty and Veronica who were preoccupied, B studying for a final she had in a week and V painting her nails while she flipped through the latest fashion magazine.
“Y/N darling. You are being too hard on yourself. You and Jug have been end game since day one. I’m sure he already knows how much you love him.” Veronica turned to face her as she let out a groan and lightly slammed her head on the table. Y/N only let out a groan in response causing Veronica to look over at Betty for some added assistance.
“Yeah Y/N! You are one of the best writers out there, even better than Jug. Sure he might argue that but he knows its true. No matter what you write it will be amazing! Just go from what your heart wants you to write.” Betty moved to stand beside where Y/N was hunched in her chair, rubbing her back lightly to coax the girl to look up. Y/N lifted her head and looked back at her two best friends, the both smiled softly at her. “Let do this. Bounce some of your ideas off of us and we can give you some feed back.” She grinned as she sat on the bed next to Veronica and waited as Y/N grabbed her note book, grabbing her pencil tightly in her hand.
“Okay, uh... Jughead Jones, I, Y/N Y/L/N, am deeply in love with you.” The girls looked between each other shaking their heads no. Y/N nodded,  crossing it out on her paper.
“I mean it was straight to the point, which is nice but you and jug can never just get straight to the point with anything so it doesn't fit. But good first try!” Veronica said, pushing Y/N to continue.
“Too formal. Got it.” Y/N tapped her pencil against her chin, thinking hard. “Juggy, you my boo.” All three of them audibly cringed as the words finished leaving Y/N’s mouth, leading all of them to laugh. “Too informal. Got it.”
“Maybe we are trying to hard to cover the main point...” All eyes were on Betty as she stood up and paced back and forth for a moment. “Well when you are writing on a story for the blue and gold, you always have the main point you are trying to get to on the board. Right?” Y/N scrunched her brow as she nodded, eager to hear where Betty was going with this. “Well. Just because thats the main point on the board doesn't mean you write the main point down and expect the story to write itself. You have to expand on it, find all the small things that create the big idea and BOOM you have the perfect front page story.” Veronica stared at her in confusion while the gears in Y/N’s mind began turning. She grinned as she  jumped up from her chair and hugged Betty tightly. Betty chuckled in surprise before hugging Y/N back.
After she let go, Y/N leaped back into her chair, writing away like a storm. The two girls on the bed stayed silent as the watched their love struck friend write faster than they had ever seen, each with a small smile lingering on their faces. Y/N poured her heart on the page, writing everything about Jughead that she loved, his small quirks that to others went unnoticed but to Y/N were the best things she could have the honor of witnessing. How she loved his loyalty to his family and friends, and that she loved how even though making the decision of joining the Serpents or not he still told Y/N about everything and trusted her enough to stick by his side no matter what. Y/N  loved that she could trust Jug through thick and thin. She always knew he had her back and supported her through everything. It seemed like an hour had passed of Y/N writing nonstop when she fail dropped the pencil. Sitting back in her chair with a giant grin and a content sigh she turned to look at her two friends who were anxiously waiting. She handed them the letter, the two redingote and tearing up.
“Y/N. this is perfect.”
The next morning, Veronica and Y/N took the letter ad left it on Jugheads front step before they went to their morning rehearsal for thriver vixons before school. Y/N was nervous the whole time, only thinking about what Jugheads reaction would be. Veronica noticed this and during a break in rehearsal ran over to give her friend a giant hug.
“Girl relax! It you and Juggy, you guys are like salt and pepper. Meant to be together you know? I mean seriously, what’s the worst that could happen?” Y/N smiled as she squeezed her best friends hand, a wave of relief settling over her. The rest of the practice went off with out a hitch and assign as it finally ended Y/N had a new sense of confidence. V was right, Y/N and Jug were meant to be and writing a love letter was just a fun way for her to remind Jug about how she felt. Betty, Veronica and Y/N linked arms as they made their way to their lockers before they were meant to go meet Jughead and Archie in the common room. Y/N had a giant grin as she looked forward to seeing Jug in just a few minutes. She twisted the lock on her locker asshe entered in her combination, opening the door and feeling butterflies as she looked the picture of her and Jug hung on the inside of the door. She gaze moved from the picture over to her pile of books where a failure piece of paper laid. Her smile instantly fell as her hand quickly grabbed the paper and unfolded it, revealing her love letter littered with red markings all across the words and sentences as if it was a first draft of a class essay.
“You have to be fucking kidding me.” Y/N huffed as she slammed her locker shut. Veronica and Betty looked at each other in confusion before walking over to Y/N and looking at what she was holding. Y/N began storming down the hall, B and V following closely behind her. They made it to the common room, Jughead and Archie sat on the couch laughing at a stupid joke that Archie had just made. “Seriously Jughead Jones?” Y/N shouted, everyone in the room turning their attention towards the girl. The two boys faces dropped as they watch the trio of girls move to stand in front of them. Veronica instantly went to sit on Archies lap and Betty fell back to stand near Cheryl and Kevin.
“Y/N, lower your voice..” Jug stood up, glaring at all the people staring, hating that they were becoming the center of attention. Y/N’s chaw dropped as she let out a small gasp.
“You’re kidding right?! You are unbelievable Jughead!!” She shouted again, rolling her eyes as she turned away from him the paper in her hand crinkling as her fingers curled into a tight fist. Jughead watched as she stormed out of the room and into the hallway. It was only a second before he rolled his eyes at the chorus of ooo’s and ran after her.
“Y/N! Wait!” HE jogged to catch up to her and grabbed her wrist lightly, turning her on her heel and causing her to stop. “Whats wrong?” Betty, Veronica, and Archie followed after their two friends keeping a safe distance.
“Whats wrong? hmm. Let me see.” Y/N put her hand up to her chin, scratching as though she were deep in thought. “Maybe its the fact that I gave you the most heartfelt love letter and you gave it back to me with spelling and punctuation corrections?!” She was shouting again as she shoved the paper into his chest, pushing him back lightly. His hand went up immediately and grabbed the paper so it wouldn't fall to the ground as she moved her hand away and crossed them over her chest as she glared it him awaiting his response. Jughead smirked, his thumb wiping the bottom of his nose as he tried to hid the smile growing on his lips. “So this is all a joke to you? God Jughead, I thought you were different from all of the other guys. I guess you aren't.” She began to turn away from him, leaving him to roll his eyes at her action before quickly reaching out and grabbing her hand in his.
“Y/N, stop.” She did as told, stopping in her tracks and reluctantly turning to face him again as he slid his fingers in-between her own. “I am different from the others. What other numbskull out there would give back a delicately written love letter with spelling and punctuation corrections, huh?” He paused, lifting his eyebrow giving her time to respond.
“Only you would....dumbass.” She spoke quietly, looking up at him with a smirk as she muttered the last word. Her anger was melting away by the second as the warmth of his hand took over her.
“Exactly.” He smiled, taking a step closer to her. “And what other dumbass would would actually use those spelling and punctuation corrections as a way to tell you that he was madly involve with you too?” Y/N’s face scrunched in confusion. Jughead unscrambled the paper, his fingers gliding lightly over the red markings as he stood even closer to her their arms touching as he watched her look closer at the corrections. He agreed with ever words Y/N had written, knowing the burning feeling in his chest that he always had felt when she was around. Y/N finished reading them over, seeing the secret message. She turned her face up to look at Jughead, a giant grin etched on both of their faces.
“I love you jug.” Y/N whispered, suddenly not being able to find her voice when his eyes locked with hers. He lifted his hands up, dropping the letter as he cupped her face, drawing his lips down to meet hers in a passionate kiss. The three friends down the hall who were watching cheered loudly at their kiss. Y/N and jughead both lifted a hand, flipping their friends off as they continued to kiss, the group laughing at the classic response. Jug finally pulled away, his forehead resting on hers.
“And I love you, Y/N.” He smiled again, leaning down to kiss Y/N once more.

Jughead Jones Imagine
Description: You’re Archies little sister who had moved away with your guys mom for a while but decided to come back to Riverdale. You run into an old bully from the past, and you start to develop feelings for Jughead.
“Mom, I’ll be fine. Dad and Archie are there, and you know I don’t like the city.” You said as you’re mom hugged you one last time in front of your house.
“Y/N hunny, I’m worried about the town not them. Please be safe and stay with Archie.” She said hugging you again.
“Alright, alright! Now go, you’ll be late for work tomorrow if you don’t leave now.” You said shooing her to her car. She got in a gave you a wistful look and drove away. You turned to your old house and breathed in the air of Riverdale. Your home. You would eventually get out of their but not in Chicago and not with mom. You grabbed your bags and climbed up the steps and opened the door. Before you could even close the door 2 arms wrapped around you tightly.
“Y/ N I missed you so much, I’m so glad your home, and it just-” Archie rambled. You were having a hard time breathing, so you patted his shoulder. “Oh, sorry. I’m just so excited you’re home.” He said. You smiled, at your now BIG brother. He had gotten a lot stronger since you last saw him, more muscles and now is a good 4 inches taller then you.
“Y/ N!!” You heard dad say hugging you. His clothes smelled of saw dust and rain. Riverdales home scent.
“Welcome home.” He said, and you could feel he was tearing up.
The 2 days that followed consisted of registering you for school, and getting supplies for school as well and putting things together in your room. You flopped down on a chair and sat playing on your phone, when a knock came on the door. Archie opened the door, and let Jughead in. You and Archie were in the same grade because you skipped a grade, and well, now you were with him. Archie was welcoming him in when Jughead saw you.
“Y/ N? I thought you moved to Chicago-” You stopped him. “I hated it and it was not ment for me anyways. How are you?” You asked hugging him really quick.
“Good, hey, um, I got to go talk to Archie about some, uh, boy stuff. I’ll see you later.” He said running upstairs to Archies room. You sighed and flopped back on the couch.
Jugheads POV
A summer can change everything. 2 or 3 summers can change a person entirely, and that’s exactly what it did to Y/N. She no longer was a short, little girl. She had changed quit a bit. She had grown about 2 inches, and lost a lot of baby fat. She was beautiful then and he thought so, but now, shw was gorgeous. The city had taken that little girl. She now was curvy, her face more defined, her hair lighter from the sun and longer. Her eyes seemed to have sparkled in a new way. Lost in how beautiful she was I just panicked and left for Archies room.
“Jug, tell me about Jasons murder.” He asked. I needed to distract myself with this…
~A few hours later~
The night had come, and Betty, Veronica, and I had all meet at Pops, and were waiting for Archie. Her face was just in my head, and I couldn'tstop thinking about it.
“Jug, you alright?” Veronica asked me snapping in front of my face. I sighed and drummed my fingers on the table.
“Nothing, just lost in thought..” I said as the through the door, the Andrews siblings walked in.
“Well, well, well, who is this lovely lady?” Veronica said scanning Y/N up and down. This is going to be an interesting night.
Y/N POV
Archie invited me to go to Pops with him to meet his friends. Mom and you had moved away your 6th grade and now am back after 3 years. We walked into Pops and saw Betty and Jughead at a table, and a raven haired girl.
“Well, well, well, who is this lovely lady?” She asked looking you up and down.
“Hey guys, Veronica, this is my little sister, Y/N.” He motioned to you. You smiled and then slide into the booth next to Jughead, and Archie after me.
“Oh, my, god, Archikins, how could I not have known you had a sister?!” She exclaimed. You laughed and answered for him.
“I lived with our mom for 3 years in Chicago. I wished to come home.” You said. After she reacted to it, you ordered a milkshake when your phone went off. You had a yext from Jughead.
‘Hey, you seem nervous, you alright?’ You smiled a bit at the text.
‘You still have this number? But, I guess I’m okay…’ You sent the text. He read it next to you and nodded.
‘What’s wrong?’
'I haven’t been home in 3 years and I feel unwelcomed and just interfering with everyones life…’ He sighed and then rubbed his hand on his leg.
'Y/N you are always welcomed here. If you get to nervous you can hold my hand.’ You read that and felt warmth go through your chest.
“Oh. My. God. Is that Y/N?!” You hear from a voice you hadn’t heard in years, and were personally freaking out. You grabbed Jugheads leg, just because his hand wasn’t there. Memories flooded your head. You squeezed his leg as hard as you could to try and forget everything happening in your head. Here, now at your table was Cheryl Blossom, your nightmare from the age of 8, when she decided you were her next victim.
“You’re home?! Welcome, welcome of course! You’ll be at the practice for the-” Cheryl was cut off by Archie.
“Yes, she’s home but you are not welcomed around her Cheryl.” Achrie said simply and she gave a hurt look then laughed.
“Oh Archikins, I KNOW you don’t think thats gonna happen! Well, enjoy your milkshake.” She said looking you up and down. You squeezed Jugs leg so hard you wouldnt be surprised if he had a bruise. He had now put his hand over yours and was rubbing little circles around on it with his thumb. You automatically covered your stomach at her comment. You realised your hand from Jugs leg.
“I’m sorry, I have to, uh, take a breath, outside.” You said practically pushed Archie out of the booth. You felt suffocated and like a deer in the headlights. You walked quickly outside, and got outside. She was sitting in her car. You saw her face was turned and sprinted down the road until you were at least a mile away. Your heart was pounding so hard you hadn’t heard the footsteps behind you.
“Y/N, what’s wrong?” A voice you hadn’t expected, Jughead. You also hadn’t noticed that you started crying.
“Hey, hey, what happened?” He asked sweetly wiping away your tears.
“She, she, was my-my childhood bully. She tormented me and I-I haven’t seen or had any of those-” He shushed you by covering your mouth with his hand.
“Look at me. You are okay. She will not hurt you, and stop thinking of that. Let me walk you home.” He said wrapping his arm around your shoulder.
Walking home, Jughead had wrapped his arm around your shoulder. Your house was wmpty but you still felt panicked. Jug could feel it, but you didnt want to bother him anymore.
“Thanks Jug, I mean, I’m fine, I’m just going-” Jug cut you off, “I’m staying.” He said simplying walking upstairs with you. You sighed in relief. “Thank you.”
You felt paranoid, and just wanted to keep it off your mind. You didn’t know what to do.
“Hey, let’s go to bed, you need rest. I’ll stay with you till you fall asleep. I’ll stay in Archie’s room so he doesn’t flip.”
You smiled and laid down in his arms. You could get used to this.“Good night.” He said softly and kissed your forehead.

Riverdale is an American teen drama television series based on the characters by Archie Comics. It was ordered to series at The CW in May 2016, and the 13-episode first season premiered on January 26, 2017. It was adapted for television by Archie Comics’ chief creative officer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and executive produced by Greg Berlanti -wikipedia
Really excited to share with you my latest obsession. The Series RIVERDALE which is on Netflix. I know, I hate that word OBSESSION. It’s overused, but whatever. I love the show and I love reading the comic books. Ever since I was little I’ve been enjoying Archie Comics and they’ve made a Series based off the Characters. I love how the actors bring the characters to life. There’s Jughead played by Cole Sprouse, Archie played by KJ Apa, Betty played by Lili Reinhart, Veronica played by Camila Mendes, Cheryl Blossom played by Madelaine Petsch and more fabulous actors and actresses. The cast is incredible! I also can’t help but be in love with the makeup and outfits in this series. That’s obvious!
I spy with my little eye COVERGIRL on RIVERDALE:
*So lashy Mascara
Lipstick 310 Seduce Scarlet (Purchased by my self)
It’s very obvious because they pause one minute on each Covergirl product, but I don’t mind. I love Covergirl and if the girls on RIVERDALE wear Covergirl well so will I! I’m so inspired and can’t wait to share all the makeup looks that i’ve created today. Okay three makeup looks. Cheryl Blossom, Betty Cooper and Veronica Lodge. But before I get into the makeup let me tell you a little about the show.
The series takes place in a little town called RIVERDALE. Feels a lot like the town from TWILIGHT, I won’t lie but I love Twilight so thats a bonus for me. The series has a 50’s feel to it but still very modern and takes place in the present time.  The only thing that I hope they improve on is the setting. It seems to me that the only place they go to in each episode is each other’s homes, the school, the forest and no mall! I wish they would include the mall. They only include Pop’s CHOCK’LIT SHOPPE, oh yes and Archie’s father’s job site. But I hope the remaining episodes change a bit in terms of setting. No big deal but it does get stagnant.
The series starts off with a murder investigation. Someone has murdered Cheryl Blossom’s brother and everyone gets tangled up in the messy situation. All the characters face challenges and relationship issues. The storyline keeps getting better and better in each episode. What I find most incredible is how the characters change. Not physically change but emotionally alter. Latest episode jughead really surprised me. Very deep stuff happening.
"A great place to get away with it all" -Riverdale #Riverdale is my recent obsession and I spy with my little eye little gems 💎 on the show! As soon as I spotted @covergirl I said to my self "I need to share this incredible information" plus I fell in love with the makeup on the show. But of course! 😘 It's all about the lips! Now I have three ❤️ loves featured in this post. 1. @netflixcan 2. @thecwriverdale and 3. @covergirl 😘❤️🤘🏻 I'm so excited and I can't wait to bring you a blog post. In the post I'll be discussing all the characters also I'll be integrating the makeup of course! So expect to see a plethora of hotness, sexiness and danger! That's what @thecwriverdale is all about! #covergirl #riverdale #makeup #blogger #beautyblog #bbloggersca #bbloggers #beautyblogger #archiecomics #netflix *samples for review purposes. The ladies really run the show in this series and I adore how strong they are. There’s Betty, Veronica and the fierce Cheryl. There’s also the Pussycat dolls and they are amazing! I adore how strong they are. Fierce and strong. Also incredibly talented.
I relate to Betty, Veronica and Cheryl in many ways. I see a bit of me in each one and this has inspired me to create the makeup looks that I’m about to show you. The make up in the show is flawless and inspiring. Each character has their own fierce style.
I’m going to start with…
 Cheryl Blossom
Cheryl Blossom might be the villain but she is fierce and very stylish.  Her lips are ALWAYS bold and bright. When Cheryl is in the room the first thing you see is the lips and then her fierce defined eyes. She might be mean and have ulterior motives but I can’t help feel sorry for her. She is lonely and sad inside. She takes it out on others by being hurtful and snarky. The only thing I like about Cheryl is that she challenges people. She also surprises others when they are not expecting it by helping. Or is it because she wants to get something out of it?
MAKEUP LOOK
For Cheryl Blossom I focused on defining the eyes and extending the eyelashes. I also focused on using a bright red lip colour. The products I used are the following:
Hair extensions by: Irresistible Me
COVERGIRL Ready Set Gorgeous Fresh Complexion in 105 Classic Ivory.
Covergirl Concealer Ready Set Gorgeous
*Covergirl Easy Breezy Brow in the colour Soft Brown
*COVERGIRL Eyeshadow JEWELS Eyeshadow palette (second one from the left, the lilac colour)
*COVERGIRL Mascara So Lashy! Black
*COVERGIRL Outlast All Day in RICHEST RED 130
*For the Eyeliner I used the Jewels Eyeshadow palette. I used the black colour (I wet it and used this shadow as a liner)
JEWELS COVERGIRL Trunaked
Next lets talk about my favourite girl
Veronica Lodge
Veronica is sweet, kind and always stands up for what’s right. She is fierce and defends the ones she loves. She’s a go-getter and loves her friends very much. She also has a crush on Archie. She loves her pearls and is very mature for her age. She is sassy and classy. I love her character so much. She definitely loves challenges and will take up anyone on a challenge. She is strong and smart.
MAKEUP LOOK
For this makeup look I noticed that Veronica loves the fine eyeliner and the lip is a lovely vampy purple. She loves her pearls so Ive added them in the photo. She loves to line the upper eyelid. I also filled my eyebrows closer to my nose. I kind of like them this way. What do you think?
For this makeup look I used the following:
COVERGIRL Ready Set Gorgeous Fresh Complexion in 105 Classic Ivory.
Covergirl Concealer Ready Set Gorgeous
*Covergirl Easy Breezy Brow in the colour Soft Brown
*Eyelashes I used COVERGIRL Mascara So Lashy! Black
Covergirl eyeshadow palette Goldens and used the 3rd one from the left. A soft brown.
*The Eyeliner is from the Jewels true naked Eyeshadow palette and I used the black one to line my eyelids.
*Lips I used COVERGIRL Outlast all day in the colour 155 Deep Burgandy
COVERGIRL OUTLAST ALL-DAY COLOURS
The hardest makeup look to achieve was Betty Cooper. The no makeup-makeup look was a challenge.  I had a hard time with it because it’s all about highlight and low lights. To make the makeup look natural without creating a flat surface. First I will say that Lili Reinhart is so so beautiful! It was hard to become her in this makeup look because she is the all American looking girl and I’m a Greek girl if you know what I mean. lol So I decided to just take the makeup and apply it to my self and not actually become her but take what I can from her look and make it me. I hope that makes sense.
BETTY COPPER
She is sweet, kind and wants to do the right thing all the time. She loves her sister and wants to protect her. She might look sweet and perfect but she’s not to be messed with. She has a deep dark side that sometimes bubbles to the surface so don’t cross her. It’s Betty’s way or the Highway!
Black
*COVERGIRL Eyeshadow JEWELS Eyeshadow palette (second one from the left, the lilac colour)
Because I didn’t have a covergirl blush I just used the same eyeshadow for blush and from the same palette I used the first and lightest colour for highlight.
*For the lips I used OUTLAST ALL-CUSTOM RED in the colour 850 Extraordinary Fuchsia and used very little followed by Outlast All Day in the colour 110 Passionate Pink.
OUTLAST ALL-DAY CUSTOM REDS
I love COVERGIRL Outlast all-day Custom Reds because they are shiny, super long lasting and feel really nice on the lips. It comes with the all day colour coat which is applied first and  then topped up with the moisturizing top coat.
This is the new COVERGIRL mascara Total Tease and I’m currently testing it out. I’ll get back to you all with a little review soon.
This slideshow requires JavaScript.
I hope you enjoyed this Feature about RIVERDALE and Covergirl. I would like to say a huge thank you to *Covergirl for the PR Samples. I’m overjoyed and trilled. Thank you so much!
Do you watch RIVERDALE?
What’s your favourite character? Would love to know.

Betty//...you
Request: Do you write for Betty? If so can i request a reader/betty where you do the same thing with your nails that she does, you both end up comforting each other/helping each other through it?
Monday morning, first period. English with Mr Johnson meaning we’ll be reading some of Romeo and Juliet and then answering some questions about it. Hopefully I’ll be left alone. Hopefully Mr Johnson will be hungover from the previous night of drunken marking so he’ll leave us all alone to sit and read in silence.
I’m one of the first people to arrive which means my usual seat at the back is free. I take the books that I need from my bag, as well as a pen before sitting down and looking at the clock. Soon people begin to file into the room and it starts to fill up. Betty Copper sits beside me and she gives me a warm smile before getting her stuff out.
“Did you have a nice weekend?” She asks and I nod, giving her a polite smile.
“You?” I ask and she nods.
“Yeah. Me and Archie hung out on Friday and then on Saturday me and Ronnie went shopping. But Sunday I just stayed in and did homework, caught up on some TV shows that I’d missed during the week.” She explains and her eyes shine as she talks. I smile and nod along, however I can’t hear anything. I’m too distracted at the way her hands move when she’s excited about something, and the way her smile grows the more she talks.
Betty Copper is one of the few people outside of my friendship group that I actually enjoy talking too. We share the majority of classes and she only lives a few doors down from me so we occasionally see each other around.
I also happen to be in love with her. I don’t know when it happened or how, but somehow, slowly but surely, I fell for her. And I fell hard. So hard that whenever she smiles at me I feel the air being knocked from my lungs and if she talks to me, I’m a stuttering, blushing mess.
“Miss Cooper, Miss Y/l/n?” Mr Johnson’s loud voice interrupts my train of thought and my eyes widen as the two of us look at him. “Care to share with the class what you thought was so important that you had to interrupt and talk over me?” He says and I feel my mouth go dry as the entirely of the class is staring at me. The two of us shake our heads and I can hear the quiet laughter from a few of the bitchier classmates. “Good.” He says before moving on with the class. I sink in the uncomfortable plastic chairs and my face goes bright red. “For the interruption you can start the reading off Miss Y//l/n.” He says with a sly smile and I feel like I’m gonna faint.
“I-er, I.” I stutter and he looks at me bored.
“We haven’t got all day.” He sighs and my nails dig into palms.
“I’ll do it.” Betty says quickly and I stare at her confused. “I was technically the one talking to her, she didn’t really say much.”
“Whatever.” He says and waves his arm for her to start.
“Thank you.” I whisper and she nods in response before staring to read the chapter. My face is still burning but now its not only due to Mr Johnson. I can feel myself falling for her harder, if thats even possible and I steal glances at her as she reads to the class. Her eyes darting across the page as she speaks, her voice as sweet as honey and I can tell that’s she’s probably already read this. She could make any piece of literature sound exciting and I would happily sit and listen to her read every single piece.
-----
Thursday afternoon, lunchtime. I stand at my locker, having just eaten lunch when there’s shouting coming from down the corridor. My finger nails instantly dig into my palm and I squeeze my eyes shut, however Betty’s voice makes me snap my eyes back open.
“What the hell?” Betty’s usually sweet voice has an edge to it. Its not how she normally speaks, like she’s literal sunshine. She’s angry at someone. “Again, what the hell?!” She shouts louder. She’s stood in front of Cheryl, both of their arms are crossed and I furrow my eyebrows at the sight.
“Betty, why are you so mad. It was only a matter of time before people found out. Plus we’re living in the 21st century, get over it.” She says bored.
“I’m mad because it’s not your choice when I’m ready! I haven’t told my mom yet! I told Veronica that in private, when I didn’t think anyone else was around and listening. Now the whole school knows and believe it or not, not a lot of people are that accepting, especially here in Riverdale!” She shouts, her voice wobbling and I can tell she’s close to tears. My heart breaks at the thought of her being upset and I make my way towards her. Nobody else seems to be doing anything. I slowly walk towards her as she continues to shout at Cheryl. Her arms drop by hers sides at one point and I see her press her fingernails into her palms, the same way that I do and my heart breaks even more.
“Betty?” My voice is unsure as I place a hand on her shoulder and she turns around quickly. Cheryl smirks at the two of us before walking past, shoving Betty slightly. “Are you okay?”
“Do I look okay!?” She asks annoyed and I move back a bit, dropping my head to look at the floor. The nails on my free hand dig into my palm again when I notice everyone is still staring, however I push the fear away.
“Come on, lets go find Veronica or someone.” I say, guiding her away from the busy corridor. “Here.” I say and hand her a tissue. “Don’t worry, its clean, its just been in my bag.” I say and she takes it, giving me a grateful nod before wiping her tears. “Whatever’s Cheryl said will be forgotten about by tomorrow. She’ll have something else to talk about.”
“I don’t think so.” She sighs. “What she heard was pretty big.”
“Well then she’ll be taking about it for at most a week then.” I nudge her shoulder softly and she giggles. I did that!! My mind goes crazy at the fact that I made her laugh. But then I’m brought back to reality by her talking again, the sad tone in her voice bringing me back to the ground.
“I hope so.” She sighs. “My mom’s gonna kill me if she finds out.”
“I’m sure she won’t. Your mom is awesome.” I try to reassure her.
“Yeah, but she’ll be mad I didn’t tell her.” She sighs.
“She might be, but whatever it is, she’ll understand that you weren’t ready to tell her.” I say and she shrugs.
“I suppose so.”
“My mom was the same. When I told my dad I liked girls she was pissed because I didn’t tell her first, but when I explained to her that I found it easier telling my dad first she was fine. She said she still loved me and that she understood.” I explain and she stares at me wide-eyed, stopping in the middle of the corridor. “What?”
“You like girls?” She asks and my cheeks heat up.
“Oh...yeah.” I laugh nervously. “You’re the only other person I’ve told apart from my parents.”
“Don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone. I promise.” She reassures me and I smile gratefully.
“Thanks.”
“No worries.” She shrugs and we start walking again. “Hey Y/n?” She asks and I nod my head. “I’m ga-”
“Oh my god, Betty! Are you okay?” Veronica shouts and she sprints down the corridor. Betty nods and I move to the side so Veronica can hug her friend.
“I’ll see you around Betty.” I say and wave awkwardly before walking away. Veronica sends Betty a teasing glance as I walk away, however I miss it and Betty rolls her eyes.
------
Friday night, 7:03pm.
Sitting at Pop’s is not what I usually do on a Friday night, well not alone. But my other friends have gone to a party and I would rather stick forks in my eyes then go. My nails would go through my palm if I went to a high school party, so Pop’s it is.
“You should really stop doing that with your nails” A familiar voice says and my gaze drifts from my drink to the girl stood in front of me. Betty’s smiling down at me, a milkshake in hand as she looks at the seat opposite me.
“You’re one to talk.” I reply and un-clench my hand.
“I suppose so.” She laughs and sits opposite me. “I can sit here right?” She asks and I nod.
“My mom says that whenever I feel like doing the nail thing, I should think about something/someone that makes me feel calm.” I say and she thinks about it for a moment. “I know it sounds stupid but it works for me the majority of the time.” I add.
“Yeah, I get that.”
“The only time it doesn’t work is when I’m really anxious.”
“Well, I’ll try it anyway. What do you think of?” She asks and I pause.
You...“The rain.” I say and she nods, while she thinks.
“Yeah, I can see that working. I’d probably think of puppies or something else cute.” She says and I laugh, the two of us make eye contact for a few seconds before I look away.
“How long have you been doing it for?” I ask.
“For as long as I can remember really.” She sighs. “You?”
“Since I was about 9, I think. I used to make myself bleed when I was younger because I didn’t really notice how hard I was doing it. I still sometimes do, but thats only when its really bad, or if I’ve got my eyes closed at the same time...” I trail off and she nods.
“Yeah...same. I think I’ve probably got scars.” She says and holds her palm out in front of her. I do the same and she looks at my hand, her fingers softly graze the small white scars and my heart rate quickens. “We’ll be okay.” She says and quickly takes her hand away. “I promise.” She says, sending me a bright smile and for the first time in my entire life, I actually believe that. “Why are you here all alone?” She asks and I shrug.
“Parties aren’t really my thing.” I reply and she nods. “What about you? I assumed you would have been at the party.”
“Eh.” She shrugs. “I’m trying to lay low for a while after what Cheryl said.
“I get that.” I nod my head in agreement and take a sip of my drink. She smiles at me and my heart momentarily stops. As soon as she looks back up at me, I can’t hold back a giggle and she quirks an eyebrow at me.
“What?” She asks.
“You have a bit of cream on your nose.” I say and she blushes lightly before wiping it away.
“Oh.” She laughs and I smile at her.
“So, what are your plans for the weekend?” I ask, changing the subject.
“Probably shopping again tomorrow. V wants a new dress for a family party next weekend.” She replies and I nod. “You can err, you can come with us if you want?” She asks hesitantly and I look at her surprised.
“Seriously?” I ask and she nods shyly.
“If you want, yeah.”
“Yeah!” I say, maybe a bit more enthusiastically than I intend to, but she doesn’t seem put off, she seems pleased. “I’d love to!”
“Great, I’ll pick you up tomorrow. Around 11?” She asks and I nod.
“Yeah! Great, I’m looking forward to it!” I say and she smiles. A comfortable silence settles around us before I start to speak again. “Did you tell your mom the thing that you were worried about?”
“Errr.” She says and suddenly the atmosphere changes.
“Sorry.” I say quickly. “I shouldn’t have asked, its none of my business. Sorry.” I apologize and she shakes her head, grabbing my hand gently in hers. We make eye contact for a split second before I look at the table.
“I did talk to her about it. She was a bit confused at first but she understands why I didn’t tell her straight away and now I think we’re closer than we’ve ever been.” She explains.
“Good ol’ Mrs Copper.” I tease and she laughs.
“Exactly.” She replies and the two of us laugh. “It was kind of weird at first though. I mean I’d only ever told one other person and that was Veronica so saying it out loud to my mom made it real in a weird way. Especially when she asked me if there was anyone that I liked and I said yes.” She rambles and I look at her confused. I stare at her for a few seconds as she talks, the sweet feeling that I usually have when she talks is being soured by the thought that she likes someone, and also by the fact that I’m confused as hell.
“Im sorry.” I interrupt. “What exactly are you talking about?”
“Oh right.” She laughs. “I gave you no context. I always do that, my mom tells me its one of my worst habits, well that and the nail thing.” She says making me smile. “The thing that Cheryl overheard was me telling Veronica that I liked girls.” She said, making me choke on my drink.
“Wha-oh. Okay.” I nod and she hides a giggle. “I’m glad she was accepting.”
“Me too!” She replies with a bright smile. “I told Veronica that I liked a girl and thats how Cheryl found out.” She continues and my face drops, however, I quickly try and recover, forcing a smile on my face.
“Oh.” I say awkwardly. “Who is it? Do I know them?”
“Are you saying all gay girls know each other?” She asks in a teasing voice making me laugh.
“Yes.” I nod and she shrugs.
“Yeah, true. In this case you do know her.”
“Oh.” I say, unsure of what to say next. “Who is it?”
“...you.” She says, her voice barely above a whisper, but I heard it and my heart stops. My mouth goes dry again like in Mr Johnson’s class, but this time its for all the right reasons.
“Me?” I ask and she nods slowly, she’s staring at me trying to figure out my reaction. “I, err, I. Wow.” I breathe and she looks at me confused. “I like you too.” I admit. “Have done for a while.” I add and the hesitant look is replaced with a bright smile.
“Okay.” She says, unsure of what to say next. “Would you maybe like to be my girlfriend? Or we can just go on a date if you want.”
“Yes.”
“Yes to what? Girlfriend or date?” She asks confused and I giggle.
“Girlfriend.” I say. “If thats what you want.”
“I’ve never wanted anything more.” She says and leans in slowly. I meet her half way until her lips are on mine. They’re soft and gentle and there’s a hint of strawberry from the milkshake. She kisses me slowly, savoring every moment until she pulls away, breathlessly and we giggle at each other. “Having you by my side isn’t going to fix all of my problems, but it’s certainly gonna help. Especially if you’re holding my hand.”

Cheryl//Comfort
Request: Can I request a Cheryl/reader where everyone thinks you were dating Jason, while you were actually dating Cheryl, maybe both of you comforting each other? Or like announcing that you’re both together? basically like you and her becoming a power couple/comforting each other
This is set during season 1, just so you don’t get confused!
“Cheryl?” Your voice echoes around the empty locker room, the quietness of the room sends a chill up your spine as you walk further in. “Babe. Are you in here?” You ask softly and look around. Cheryl and the rest of the vixens had been in the middle of cheering on the Bulldogs when she ran off. Everyone had been confused, however you were concerned. You knew she wasn’t handling the death of her brother as well as she told everyone, and neither were you.
Jason had been your best friend since you could remember. Even though he was a year older and completely different to you, you had been friends ever since you met. He had been the first person you came out to and he promised he would take the secret to his grave until you were ready to come out to everyone. You had laughed when he first said it, replying with ‘i’m not gonna be in the closet forever’, however now it had a different meaning. And you hated it.
A small sniffle from the corner of the room pulled you out of your thoughts and you looked to the side of you. Cheryl was sat on one of the benches, her head was in her hands and she was sobbing.
“Cheryl, baby. Whats wrong?” You asked and sat down beside her. You wrapped your arms around her and she leaned against your chest, crying harder.
“Jason.” She sobbed.
“What about him?” You asked, a few tears escaping your own eyes.
“He’s not here.” She cried and you squeezed her harder.
“I know. But he’s in a better place.” You tried to comfort her, repeating the words everybody had been saying to the two of you for the past few weeks.
“A better place is here, with us. With the people that he cared about. Why did I encourage him to go.” She stuttered and you shook your head. “I sent him to his death.”
“You didn’t Cheryl.” You pulled away from her and she looked at you sadly. “I also encouraged him to run away. Does that mean that its my fault he died?” You asked and she frantically shook her head.
“No of course not.”
“Well then your not at fault either. You told him to do what he wanted, and he did. It just didn’t go as planned. And the only person who is at fault, is the person who killed him. Not you, not me, not him. His murderer.” You reassured her and she nodded.
“I miss him.” She sighed.
“I miss him too.” You replied sadly and pulled her into another hug.
“I never got to say goodbye properly.” She mumbled against your chest.
“I know. But he knew how much you loved him.” You gave her a sad smile. “I never got to say goodbye either.” You sighed and she wrapped her arms around you.
“I’m sorry.” She apologized and you looked at her confused.
“Why are you saying sorry?”
“Because I’m making this all about me. He was your best friend.” She sighed, crying harder.
“Its okay baby.” You reassured her. “Comforting you, and looking after you takes my mind off it in a weird way. And you’re not making it all about you, he was your brother. You have a right to miss him.” You kissed her forehead and she gave you a watery smile.
“Come here.” You pulled her into another hug and she rested against your chest. You stayed silent for a couple of minutes, one of your hands stroked her hair, while the other held her against you.
“We never got to tell him.” She said into the quiet and you sat up slightly.
“What?” You asked and she looked at you.
“We never got to tell him about us.” She repeated and you sighed.
“How well do you think he would have taken that?” You asked and she laughed a little bit. “His best friend and little sister dating? I’m sure he would have been thrilled.” You continued, you were determined to make her smile stay for a few seconds longer. You hadn’t seen her smile in so long.
“I think he would have been happy for us.” She nodded and you raised an eyebrow. “After a while.” She giggled softly and you smiled at her.
“Yeah. He would have.” You nodded and she looked at the floor. A sad expression taking over again. “We never got to tell him but we can tell his friends...the people he loved and who loved him.” You suggested and she looked up at you. “I know it isn’t the same. But they all knew him, maybe it’ll make you feel a bit better.” You shrugged and she smiled sadly.
“Yeah. Maybe. I’ll think about it.” She nodded and cuddled back into your side.
“Do you wanna stay at mine again tonight?” You asked and she nodded.
“If thats okay?”
“Of course.” You kissed her head gently. She’d been staying with you since Jason had disappeared, and had yet to go home. The only time that she did was so she could get some clothes, and some of Jason’s stuff before her parents and the police went through his room.
“Cheryl!” Betty’s voice rang through the room and Cheryl pulled away from you. “There you are.” She rushed towards the two of you. Veronica and Josie trailed behind her, both of them sending you sympathetic smiles.
“Are you okay?” Josie asked and sat on the other side of Cheryl.
“Fine.” She nodded, wiping the tears from her eyes.
“Y/n?” Betty asked.
“Yeah?”
“Can I talk to you for a minute?”
“Sure?” You replied concerned. You stood up and followed her to the other side of the room. Veronica had replaced you and wrapped an arm around your girlfriend.
“What was wrong with her?” Betty asked once you were out of earshot.
“She was upset because of Jason.” You told her and she sighed.
“How are you doing?” She asked and you shrugged.
“Not good.” You replied honestly and she sent you a sympathetic smile. “But, I have to be strong for Cheryl.” You nodded your head.
“Yeah. But you need support too. You were his girlfr-”
“Betty?” Veronica interrupted your conversation and you looked at Betty confused.
“We’re gonna take Cheryl to Pops. Are you coming?”
“Yeah.” Betty nodded. “Are you coming too?” She asked and you nodded.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It had been a few months since the locker room incident and both you and Cheryl were doing better. You were far from being completely okay, but you were getting there. And you were proud of Cheryl and how far she’d come. She was still living with you and had practically moved in, not that you were complaining.
“I think its time.” Cheryl told you. You were both in the student lounge, Cheryl’s head was on your lap and you were reading a book for your English class.
“Time for what?” You asked absentmindedly.
“To tell our friends about us. I think I’m ready...if you are?”
“Yeah?” You smiled at her, putting your book down. “Sure.”
She sat up and smiled at you brightly. “Lets go.” She stood up and grabbed your hand, pulling you with her.
“We’re doing it now?” You asked, grabbing your bag.
“No time like the present.” She pulled you out of the room and towards the cafeteria. As you approached the table with your friends, anxiety started to bubble in your chest. Cheryl seemed to notice this and turned to face you, her smile faltering when she saw the scared look on your face. “Whats wrong?”
“What if they don’t accept us?”
“They will. Its the modern era Y/n. The only people living in the middle ages are my parents.”
“But I’m pretty sure Betty thought I was Jason’s girlfriend.”
“Huh?”
“I know.”
“Thats just Betty. I promise, they’ll accept us. But if you don’t want to yet, we don’t have to okay?” She reassured you and you nodded, taking a moment to think.
“I want to.” You nodded your head and she smiled brightly. You would literally do anything to see her smile like that again.
“Hey sad breakfast club.” Cheryl greeted the gang and you rolled your eyes. “We have something to tell you, so listen up. It’s gonna blow you’re tiny minds and give you something to brighten up your dreary existence.”
“I see you’re feeling a little better Cheryl.” Jughead said sarcastically and she smiled at him.
“Better than you hobo. How’s living in the school. I hear the basements really comfy.” She lashed out and Jughead rolled his eyes. He was ruining it, this was supposed to go smoothly. She was gonna tell everyone and they were gonna accept it and she would show you that there was nothing to be scared of.
“Cheryl.” You pulled on her arm and she looked at you sympathetically.
“Give me a minute.” She mumbled and you sighed before agreeing reluctantly. “Anyway. Listen up. Me and Y/-”
“Oh Y/n, how are you feeling?” Betty interrupted her and Cheryl glared at her.
“Oh. Fine? Why?” You asked.
“Well, I know the last time we talked properly you were upset about Jason. Understandably because of how close you both were.”
“Yeah, I-”
“I know he was your boyfriend-”
“Back up Nancy Drew. Y/n was not dating Jason.” Cheryl spoke over her.
“Yeah. I wasn’t dating Jason.” You added and everyone looked at you confused.
“You weren’t?”
“Nope.” You shook your head. “He was just my friend.”
“I always thought you two had a thing for each other.” Betty replied. “Everybody did.”
“Not me.” Kevin held his hand up.
“Just friends.” You repeated.
“Oh.”
“Anywayyyy. Back to me and the point I’ve been trying to make for the past five minutes.” Cheryl gained everyone’s attention. “Me and Y/n are together.” She smiled and held your hand.
“We know you’re together. You’re stood right next to each other.” Archie said.
“Not like that idiot.” Cheryl rolled her eyes. “As in we’re dating. As in we’re gay together. This is us coming out.” She dumbed it down for him and you giggled.
“Ohhhh.”
“You’re gay?”
“Well, duh.” Cheryl rolled her eyes again.
“Thats so cute!” Veronica smiled brightly at you both.
“I knew it!” Kevin cheered. “I knew there was a reason you weren’t with Jason. My gaydar is so good.” He said proudly and went back to eating.
“How long have you been together?” Jughead asked.
“2 and a half years.” You replied and their eyes widened.
“Why tell us now?” Betty asked.
“Because we couldn’t tell JJ, so Y/n suggested that we tell the people who were close to him.” Cheryl explained and they smiled.
“He would have been so proud.” Josie said.
“We know.”
“I’m so proud of you baby.” You whispered in her ear.
“Thank you.” She mumbled.
“He would have been proud of you.” You added.
“I hope so.”

Sweet Pea//Miscommunication
“What about him? He’s cute.” Kevin pointed at a tall guy standing at the bar talking to the bar maid.
“Nope. Too intimidating. You should all be lucky that you got me to go out with you guys, there is no way I am going to flirt with a stranger.” You argued and Kevin pouted.
“But we did this to help you. We’re trying to work on your shyness.” Veronica argued.
“And you really think flirting with some random man is going to help that.” You asked.
“It helps me when I’m nervous.” Veronica replied and giggled.
“Ronnie! You have a boyfriend.” You scolded jokingly.
“So, its only mindless flirting. Its not like I’m actually going to do anything with them. It just means that I get a few free drinks.” She defended and took a sip of her drink. “And everybody else does it.” She continued and looked around at your group of friends consisting of her, Betty, Cheryl, Josie and Kevin, all of them nodding in agreement. “See we all do it.”
“Anywayyy. We are getting away from our point.” Betty interjected. “What Kevin and Veronica are trying to say is that if you flirt with him it will show you that you can do it and then you might find yourself a boyfriend so you aren’t the only single one.” She explained and you nodded.
“Not happening. Too nervous.” You argued and they sighed.
“Fineeeee.” Veronica agreed and you sipped your drink, however you didn’t see her wink at Kevin and him nod back. About fifteen minutes later everyone had finished their drink and Kevin stood up announcing loudly that he was going to get some more drinks.
“Can you come and help Y/n?” He asked.
“Yeah sure.” You agreed and stood up. You both made your way to the bar, trying to remember what everyone wanted, once you got there Kevin ordered the drinks and you waited. The bar was rather crowded and that made you feel slightly nervous but you talked yourself into staying so you could help Kevin. Just when you had calmed yourself down a bit something bumped into you making you almost fall over the bar stool in front of you, however a large pair of hands steadied you. You looked up at the stranger that had saved you from falling and inwardly cursed. Of course it was the cute stranger from earlier, the universe really wasn’t your friend today. You locked eyes with his and he smiled at you.
“Sorry, that was completely my fault. I wasn’t looking where I was going.” He apologized and his smile grew, making the corner of his eyes crinkle. Damn he was cute. Why did he have to be so cute? You felt like you were in a cheesy rom-com, locking eyes with the stranger at the bar and falling instantly in love. Okay, maybe not instantly in love but you knew you already liked him and the only thing he had done was accidentally push you over. You realized you were just staring at him so you smiled and shook your head.
“No, its fine. I should have been more spatially aware?” You ended with a question, not really sure where you were going with that, but he seemed to like it as he laughed. “Well, I need to help my friend.” You motioned behind you, the man just looked behind you confused so you turned around and saw Kevin sat with the rest of your friends all smiling and waving at you. “Unbelievable.” You muttered.
“What?” He asked.
“Nothing.” You replied quickly and smiled at him.
“So, whats your name?” He asked and leaned on the bar.
“Y/n.” You replied. “You?” You returned the question, a new found confidence had taking over you.
“Sweet Pea.”
“Really?”
“Yeah. Thats my name. Is that so surprising?” He asked defensively and you felt all the confidence drain out of you.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to offend you. I’m so sorry. I’m just gonna go back to my friends. Have a nice night.” You rambled and turned around, you felt an hand on your arm, lightly tugging you back.
“No, shit sorry. I was only joking.” He apologized. “I thought it would be funny. Clearly it wasn’t. I don’t know what I was thinking.” He added and rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly.
“Oh.” You laughed slightly and he smiled.
“So Y/n. Tell me about yourself.” He suggested and sipped his drink.
“There’s nothing much to tell, apart from that my friends dragged me out here.” You shrugged.
“Yeah. You don’t really look like you should be here.” He started and then realized how that sounded when he saw your smile falter. “Not like that. I mean, when I looked over before you didn’t look like you were having a good time.” He backtracked and you shrugged again. “I hope I’m changing that.” He winked and you blushed. Holy shit, was he flirting with you. The cute guy at the bar was actually flirting with you. You felt the confidence return and decided you were going to do, what Veronica liked to call it, mindless flirting. It was now or never because well you didn’t know if you would ever feel this confident again.
“You are actually, and I’m sure you could definitely change my mind.” You flirted back. “Now, tell me about yourself.” For about an hour and a half you and Sweet Pea chatted and flirted, well what you assumed was flirting. Suddenly he checked the time on his phone and stood up straight.
“Sorry, it was great talking to you but I have to go.” He apologized. “I’ll see you around. And I hope I gave you a good time.” He winked and you blushed again. You turned around to look at your friends who were giving you smiles and thumbs up, once you turned around he had gone and you smile disappeared again. However something on the bar caught your attention.
Call me was scribbled on a napkin as well as a number underneath it and it was signed ‘Sweet Pea’. You picked it up and quickly stuffed it into your purse, giving yourself a mental note to text him later. The rest of the night went over fairly quickly and you soon found yourself cuddled in bed, scrolling through Instagram. You had taken the napkin out of your bag as soon as you got home and put the number in your phone but you were debating on wether you should text him or wait a few days. A sudden urge of confidence swept through you and before you knew it you were sending a text to him.
Hey.
Hey?
Its the girl from the bar.
????
Y/n. You bumped into me and then we talked. You wrote your number on a napkin and left it there.
Oh
Oh what? You panicked.
I erm. I don’t know how to tell you this but, I err. I left my number for the barmaid that I was talking to before we quite literally bumped into each other. As soon as you received the text you were mortified, a deep blush had settled over your cheeks and you wanted to throw your phone and then yourself out of the nearest window. Of course it was for the barmaid. Why did you ever take Veronica’s advice. Why did you even agree to coming out with them, when you could be in bed asleep, and not being so embarrassed that you wished the world would swallow you whole.
Sorry. You quickly typed and then locked your phone, throwing it on the opposite side of the bed and turning around. You could hear your phone vibrate constantly until you fell asleep, part of you wishing that you wouldn’t wake up. You woke up with a start, the memories of last night flooding your mind, instantly making your face heat up again. You didn’t really want to check your phone but you knew you would have to eventually so you felt around the empty space until you found it. Unlocking it you covered your eyes with your free hand while you opened the messages.
No, not like that
Shit, I’m terrible at this.
I’m throwing a surprise birthday party for one of my friends and I was checking the bar out to see what it was like and if I could have the party there. I ended up talking to the barmaid about the prices and shit and she told me to leave my number so she could get back to me about it.
I’m so sorry. You have no idea.
I actually really like you. And I’m glad you accidentally took my number because I was so mad at myself when I realized that I hadn’t got your number.
Usually I’m a lot smoother than this.
Actually, no I’m not.
Again. I’m sorry.
You read the texts and giggled. The blush leaving your cheeks slightly. Its okay, he likes you! Like genuinely likes you!
Sorry, I didn’t reply. I was so embarrassed I threw my phone to the other side of the bed and then went to sleep. You text back and got a reply almost immediately.
Its okay. I’m just glad that you replied.
I’m sorry for stealing your number.
Its okay. It just means that I’ll have to go back. Maybe you could come with me? As in a date?
You don’t have to. He added quickly and you smiled.
I would love to. You replied and grinned at your phone.
Lets hope that there is no more miscommunication though :)
I have a feeing there is going to be plenty more. You replied sarcastically.
I’ll look forward to it then ;)

Jason//The Ghost of You
Request: If you're not too busy, and you write for him, which tbh is probably a bit of a stretch regardless, but could a request a Reader/Jason Blossom, maybe like you keep thinking you see his ghost, but he's actually alive, i dunno, aka a massive au xD or maybe you're thinking back to before he died?
I added a little bit to the end because I had some inspirationfor something but you don’t have to read it, if you don’t want to. You can just keep it as a happy ending.
“I dunno. Do you really thing going to Sweet Water River is a good idea?” You asked. Archie, Veronica, Betty and Jughead had invited you to hang out with them, however they missed out the part where you would be going to the place your boyfriend’s body had been found.
“It’ll be fine.” Jughead reassured you as you walked towards the river.
“And you can’t avoid it forever.” Archie added.
“I can try.” You muttered.
“Yeah. Jason wouldn’t want you to avoid the place forever.” Betty joined in. “Didn’t you have a lot of dates here?”
“Well yeah.” You replied. “But how would you feel if Jughead died somewhere and you’re friends dragged you there.” You replied and she thought for a moment. She was about to reply when Veronica interrupted her.
“I’m on Y/n’s side.” She said and you smiled gratefully at her.
“We’re just trying to help her.” Archie replied. “He was our friend too.”
“I know.” You sighed.
“Maybe she doesn’t want to be helped. Or maybe she doesn’t want to be helped like this.” Veronica tried to reason.
“We don’t have to go if you don’t want to.” Betty turned her attention to you.
“Its fine.” You sighed. You were used to this. When Jason died everyone had been so nice to you, they literally did anything you wanted. But as weeks turned into months and people had other things in their life, you were kind of forgotten about. You and Jason had been forgotten. People would joke about it and then send you sympathetic looks when they realized you were around. They would make plans to go places he had been when he was missing and invite you, before remembering who you were, then they’d cancel and act annoyed with you. “You go ahead.” You forced a smile. “I’ll meet you at Pop’s after.”
“You sure?” Veronica asked. “I can stay with you if you want?”
“Its okay. Hang out with your friends.” You reassured her and she nodded.
“We’ll be an hour!” Archie called after him. Him and Jughead had already ran off in the direction of the river.
“We love you Y/n!” Betty added and ran after them.
“Are you sure you’re okay?” Veronica asked quietly.
“Yeah.” You nodded. “I’ll be okay.” You smiled softly at her and she gave you a sympathetic smile before turning around and following the other three.
Sighing, you turned around, taking in the forest. The light streamed through the branches of trees lighting certain parts. Once tree caught your eye.
For your first date with Jason you’d gone for a walk and ended up lost in the forest. You were unsure how you’d even done that because you had both lived in Riverdale since you were born, but you had and it was starting to get dark. However Jason decided that he was gonna make it the best date you’d ever had. You walked around and he told you stuff about plants that his mom had taught him. He helped you climb a tree and then you both panicked when you got stuck, but he caught you when you fell, even if it was on top of him. Just before you left he pushed you against a tree and kissed you softly. You remember how it felt, how his breathing was fast because of how anxious he was, and how he’d bumped his lips against yours before he kissed you properly.
After that date you’d go to the forest and the river for the majority of your dates, and one day he had been really excited, practically dragging you through the forest until he stopped in front of the tree where you’d had your first date. He had pointed to it and you looked at him confused before he told you what he had done. Carved into the tree trunk was i love you y/n, forever. You’d kissed him and told him that you loved him too and you never thought you could be happier.
Now, as you traced the carving with your fingers lightly, you didn’t think you would ever be sadder. Even though he had died over a year ago, the pain never went away, and on some days you thought that it had gotten worse.
“Y/n.” You heard someone whisper making you turn around quickly. You could have sworn you’d seen a flash of ginger hair when you turned, but there was no one there.
You decided you were gonna head to Pops now. Pushing yourself away from the tree you made the walk through the forest, stopping once you reached the main road. Stepping out to cross, you were quickly pulled back when a car sped past.
“Careful.” They laughed slightly and you froze. You knew exactly who that voice belonged to.
“Jaso-.” You cut yourself off when you realized nobody was around. “What the fuck.” You whispered.
You practically sprinted to Pop’s. Once you arrived it was surprisingly empty for a Saturday afternoon. You sat down in the usual booth in the corner and picked up a menu, deciding on if you were gonna have anything to eat while you waited.
A few minutes passed and the bell above the door ringing made you look up, you had hoped it would be someone you knew so you wouldn’t be alone, however no one had come in. A confused expression settled on your face and you looked out the window, gasping when you saw someone who looked oddly like your dead boyfriend walking away. You were frozen, staring at them until they disappeared.
“Miss Y/l/n?” Pop Tate asked and you jumped. “Sorry.” He apologized.
“Its fine.” You shook your head, and gave him a warm smile.
“Your favourite.” He placed a milkshake in front of you and you looked at him confused.
“I haven’t ordered anything yet.” You replied.
“Someone ordered it for you.”
“Who?”
“Some boy.” He said with a smile before walking away. You stared at the milkshake, hoping that it would give you sign of what was happening. You don’t know how long you had been staring at it until Cheryl sat opposite you in the booth.
“Y/n?” She asked and you looked up, your eyes filling with tears. “What’s wrong?”
“I think I’m going insane.” You sobbed and she sat beside you wrapping her arms around you.
“Why?”
“I keep seeing Jason.”
“What?”
“Exactly.” You cried harder.
“Start from the beginning.” She pulled away from you and you looked up at her.
“I was supposed to be hanging out with Archie, Jughead, Betty and Ronnie but they wanted to go to Sweet Water River and I didn’t really want to but they said it was to help. Anyway, I said I’d go to Pop’s and meet them there. But weird things have been happening. When I was walking through the forest, I heard someone say my name, and then when I got to the main road someone pulled me back and said ‘careful’ and it sounded exactly like Jason, they even had his laugh but when I looked to see who it was they had disappeared. When I got here I saw someone that looked oddly like Jason walk away, and then Pop brought over my favourite milkshake even though I didn’t order it and he said that some boy had ordered it for me.” You explained and she sighed.
“You’re not going insane.”
“How do you know? I keep seeing and hearing my dead boyfriend.”
“Because sometimes I hear him too.” She replied. “I think thats just how we deal with grief.” She added and you cried harder.
“Y/n?” You heard Betty ask and the four of them rushed towards you.
“Hold on Y/n.” Cheryl mumbled and stood up, blocking them from seeing you.
“What the fuck Cheryl?” Jughead asked confused.
“We wanna comfort our friend. Whats wrong with her?” Archie asked.
“Ohhh. So you know she’s your friend then?” Cheryl asked sarcastically and they looked at her confused.
“Yeah?”
“Because it doesn’t seem like that when you drag her to where her boyfriend’s body was found and then leave her alone.”
“We thought it would help.” Betty defended.
“Well clearly it didn’t.”
“We didn’t know.”
“She thinks she’s seeing him.” Cheryl whispered.
“Who?”
“Jason?” You asked, staring out the window.
“Exactly.” Cheryl said. “Wait.”
“Jason’s out there.” You pointed to the car park and stood up pushing past them.
“Y/n!” They called after you but you ignored them.
“Jason?” You asked, a bright smile on your face. You weren’t insane. He was stood right in front of you! His smile was as as bright as it was on your first date and you couldn’t believe what you were seeing. He had so much explaining to do, but right now, you were gonna enjoy this moment.
“I love you Y/n.”
“Forever?” You asked hopefully.
“Forever.”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Local teenager Y/n Y//l/n was pronounced dead last night at 11:23pm. She had been brought into Riverdale General Hospital after she was found by the side of the road, following a hit and run. Friends and Family have been informed and are mourning.
Her close friend, Cheryl Blossom, had this to say ‘She will be sadly missed. She was an amazing friend, a beautiful human being, she was my best friend and I loved her dearly, just like the rest of Riverdale. But I like to think she’s with my brother, Jason. That they’re back together, like they belong.
We’ll love you forever Y/n.’

Cheryl//Meddling
Request: Kind of an odd request, but Scooby-Doo AU one-shot with established couples Varchie, Bughead, and Cheryl x female reader. It has nothing to do with the show’s plot. Archie is the leader and trap maker. Veronica is the danger prone damsel in distress. Betty, Cheryl, and reader are the geniuses who decipher the clues. Jughead is a food obsessed coward and serves as bait for Archie’s traps with his dog Hot Dog, who can talk for some unexplained reason and has Scooby’s famous speech impediment
“Have you read the newspaper today?” Betty asked as she sat down at your usual table in the library. You were all supposed to meet here to do your homework together but right now it was only you and Cheryl. Jughead was eating like usual, Veronica was reading a magazine, Archie was nowhere to be seen and Betty had only now just walked in.
“Nobody ever reads the newspaper anymore. Everything’s online now.” Jughead replied making you all laugh.
“Shut up Jughead. Don’t you have a burger to be eating?” She replied before returning to the rest of you.
“We haven’t read the newspaper today. Whats happening?” You asked and Cheryl squeezed your hand. Betty smiled excitedly and put the paper on the table.
Local teens catch the ‘black hood’
The title read and you all smiled.
“I can’t believe it was the janitor terrorizing the town.” Veronica shook her head as she re-applied her makeup.
“You doing that for Archie?” Cheryl teased and Veronica rolled her eyes.
“Shut up.”
“How’s Hotdog?” You asked Jughead who was stuffing his face with food.
“Still upset.” He replied while he chewed.
“That is disgusting.” Betty complained.
“You should finish eating before you talk to someone.” Veronica added, just as disgusted.
“What do you want me to do? Y/n asked me a question. Its rude to ignore people.” He argued and Betty and Veronica rolled their eyes while you laughed. Cheryl was flipping through the newspaper while you and Jughead continued the conversation. “Like I was saying. He’s still upset because we were used as bait. Again.”
“I’m sure he’ll get over it.” You reassured him and he smiled.
“Yeah. I suppose.” He shrugged before continuing to eat.
“Betty?” Cheryl asked concerned.
“Yeah?”
“Where did you get the newspaper from?”
“It was wedged in my locker.” She shrugged.
“And you didn’t think that was a little bit odd?”
“Its Riverdale. Everything’s odd.” She replied. “Why?” She asked worried. All of you had your attention on Cheryl.
“Whats wrong babe?” You asked.
“It isn’t over.” She said quietly.
“What do you mean?” Jughead asked nervously. He’d put his food down and made his way round the table so he could see what you were looking at.
“Look.” She pointed the article about the ‘black hood’. “The first letter of every paragraph spells ‘its not over’.”
“That could just be a coincidence.” Veronica suggested.
“There’s no such thing as a coincidence.” You, Cheryl and Betty said at the same time. All five of you were reading the article over and over again, trying to find anything else.
“Why you all hunched over a newspaper? Haven’t you ever heard of the internet?” Archie asked making all five of you jump. “Okay? Whats up?” He asked.
“Look.” Betty pointed to the newspaper.
“Its not over.” He read aloud. “Is this from the black hood article?”
“Yep.” You nodded.
“Great.” He sighed.
“What are we going to do?” Veronica asked, moving closer to Archie.
“We’re just gonna have to figure it out. Again.” You said and they nodded. “My parents won’t be home til late tonight. You can all come round and we can see if there’s anything else. You never know, if this is in here.” You pointed to the newspaper. “There could be more clues in it.”
“Okay. We’ll meet at Y/n’s at 6.” Archie decided and the rest of you nodded.
“Do all of us have to be there? Won’t it be better if its just you guys?” Jughead asked anxiously.
“Yes.” You replied.
“All of us have to be there.” Cheryl added.
“Fine.” He grumbled. “Hotdog is not going to be happy about this.” He finished with a sigh.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Okay, what do we know about the Black Hood?” Archie asked. Everyone was gathered at your house. You and Cheryl had gone straight after school and had gone through the newspaper to see if there was any more clues. Once everyone else had arrived you decided to try a new approach.
“They say they want to cleanse the town of sin.” Veronica replied and Archie smiled at her.
“What’s a sin though?” Jughead asked.
“If we’re talking biblical, literally anything. Anybody in this town could be next.” You sighed.
“Technically me and Y/n are sinning just by being together.” Cheryl added and looked at you sadly. You squeezed her hand and gave a reassuring smile. You knew she had been worrying about the black hood.
“We need a plan.” Archie decided.
“We could think about it literally.” Betty suggested and you all looked at her. “What are the 7 deadly sins?” She asked.
“Errr.” Jughead started and you rolled your eyes.
“Pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath and sloth.” You told her.
“Yeah, I have no idea what any of those words mean.” Jughead replied.
“You don’t know what ‘and’ means?” Archie asked sarcastically and you laughed, including Hot Dog.
“Like you know what any of those words mean.” He replied and glared at Hot Dog.
“We all know that both of you know what greed means.” Veronica rolled her eyes.
“Anywayyy. We’re getting away from ourselves.” Betty interrupted. “So, when the black hood first started terrorizing the town they said they wanted to cleanse the town of sin. If they are still out there then thats means they still want to get rid of the towns sins right?”
“The most logical way to do this would be to start with the 7 deadly sins.” You added and she smiled at you.
“So, all we need to do is figure out who is guilty of any of the sins and then they’ll be next?” Jughead asked.
“No.” You, Betty and Cheryl replied at the same time.
“Everyone in the town is guilty of probably every single one of them sins. We need someone to pretend they are so we can catch the real black hood.” Cheryl said with a smile. All of you looked at Jughead and Hot Dog with smiles on your face.
“No! No way. We are not being your bait.” Jughead stood up and started to back away from you all. “Not again.”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“I can’t believe we’re doing this again.” Jughead sighed. He looked around the abandoned house you were all hiding in. It had been a few days after you had been at your house and Betty had continued to get the newspaper shoved in her locker. The black hood was trying to send a message. There had been a secret message in the articles about the black hood, that spelt out where and what time to meet.
“Its your fault.” Hot Dog muttered.
“Is not!” He argued.
“Is too!”
“Shut up!” You whisper shouted from where you were hiding.
“You’re gonna ruin it!” Cheryl added.
“Everybody shut up. I think they’re here.” Archie shushed you all.
You all waited in silence for them, however you were distracted when you heard a loud pitched scream.
“Veronica!” Archie shouted and ran towards the sound.
“Archie!” You called after him. “Come back!”
“Its not safe!” Betty added and started to run after him.
“Jesus Christ.” You muttered and got out of your hiding position. You helped Cheryl and made your way towards the noise. Jughead and Hot Dog followed sheepishly behind you. You turned the corner and sighed. The black hood had his arm around Veronica’s neck, and Archie and Betty were stood beside him with their hands up if surrender.
“Great! The gang’s here!” The black hood said excitedly. His black balaclava sent you even more on edge than you were so you grabbed Cheryls hand.
“Let her go.” You told him.
“Sorry.” Veronica mouthed and you nodded your head.
“No. I’m still cleansing.”
“And you need her to do that? Listen, I know you’re weird but I didn’t think you were that weird.” Archie replied and the black hood took a gun out of his pocket, pointing it at Archie and Betty he then gripped Veronica tighter and you moved further towards him.
“Just let her go.” Cheryl repeated and he laughed coldly. “Please.”
“Like I said, I’m cleansing the town. And this group is full of sin.”
“Like what?” Veronica asked offended. “Ow!” She shrieked when he gripped her tighter again.
“Well, like dear Betty said, the seven deadly sins. Lets see. Who should we started with?”
“Why do villains always like theatrics. Get to the point.” You rolled your eyes.
“What are you doing?” Cheryl whispered.
“Don’t wind him up!” Jughead added.
“Betty here, is envy.”
“Envy?” You all asked.
“We all know she’s jealous. She thinks Veronica is prettier than her.” He replied and you all looked at Betty.
“Betty? You’re beautiful.” You, Cheryl and Jughead said at the same time.
“I think you’re prettier than me.” Veronica looked at her sadly.
“Sorry.” She mumbled.
“Please. Shut up all of you. You’re about to die.” He rolled his eyes.
“Veronica, you’re pride.”
“Hey. There’s nothing wrong with having pride in your appearance.” She argued.
“I don’t think thats entirely it.” Betty replied.
“Y/n and Cheryl. Do I really need to say what yours is?”
“Being gay isn’t part of the 7 deadly sins. Everybody knows that.” Cheryl replied.
“And even if it was. I like living my sinful life.” You added and Cheryl nodded.
“How sweet. Love’s young dream. Shame you’s are gonna die.”
“Mr Black Hood man?” Cheryl asked and you smiled to yourself at how cute your girlfriend was even when she was talking to a mass murderer.
“What?”
“You’re flys down.” She nodded towards his crouch. Once he was distracted you motioned to Veronica and she kicked him in the crotch.
“FUCK!” He shouted, letting go of Veronica. She stumbled towards Betty and she caught her while Archie tied him up.
“Where’d you get that rope from?” Betty asked.
“I always carry spare rope.”
“Why?” Jughead asked.
“Just in case stuff like this happens.”
“Oh.” He nodded.
“Now.” Archie started, pushing the man on to an old chair. “Lets see who the black hood actually is.” He took the balaclava off him and your eyes widened.
“Old man Cooper!?” You all exclaimed.
“But, you’re our neighbour.” Archie gasped.
“Yeah. You help my mum out with the shopping.” Betty sighed.
And you help my nan out when she needs odd jobs doing around the house.” You added and Cheryl placed her arm around you.
“But why?” Veronica asked.
“Because this town is full of sin. Everybody has sinned in this town, we need to start again. The only way to do that is to cleanse it of sin.” He snarled.
“You really need to get a hobby.” You mumbled and he glared at you.
“I’m sure there’s plenty of hobbies he can do in jail.” Archie replied and dragged him towards the waiting police.
“Byeeee.” Veronica waved him off.
“I can’t believe that he thought murdering people would cleanse the town of sin.” Jughead shook his head.
“Really, its adding more sin to the town.” You added and they laughed bitterly.
“I would have gotten away with it, if it weren’t for you meddling kids!” He shouted as he was pushed into the police car.
“Well thats rude.” Cheryl said offended.
“We do not meddle!” You shouted back.
“We investigate!” Betty added.
“Yeah.” The rest of you agreed.
“And you’re stupid dog too.” He shouted again.
“Thats just plain mean.” Veronica tutted.
“You’re not stupid Hot Dog.” You reassured him.
“Hot Dog?” Archie asked.
“Yeah?”
“What are you eating?”
“Pizza.”
“We didn’t get any pizza. We’ve been in this house for the majority of the evening.” You said worried.
“Where’d you get it?” Betty asked.
“Errr. The floor.”
“Ewwww.” Veronica squealed in disgust.
“Thats gross.” You laughed.
“What do you expect? He is a dog.” Jughead defended.
“But you’re not.” Cheryl replied and pointed to the pizza slice in his hand.
“Shut up.” He hid the slice behind his back. “What do you expect? We haven’t eaten in like…two hours.”
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Have you heard? Jughead asked as he approached the five of you.
“Heard what?” Betty asked, pulling her attention away from the homework you were all doing.
“About the Gargoyle King?”
“The who now?” You replied confused.
“The Gargoyle King.” He repeated. “He looks like a big tree and he haunts your dreams.”
“If he haunts your dreams and looks like a big tree, why don’t you just take a hedge trimmer to bed?” You asked and everyone laughed apart from Jughead.
“Ha. Ha.” He deadpanned.
“Are you sure its haunting people’s dreams or is that something you’ve heard and then exaggerated?” Cheryl asked and Jughead remained silent.
“Apparently it hangs around in the forest with its following of people who worship it. Whatever it is, it tries to coax teenagers into doing dangerous things.” You explained.
“How’d you find that out?” Jughead asked.
“Googled it.” You shrugged. “There’s loads of articles online about teenagers ‘worshipping’ the ‘gargoyle king’. They then go into the forest and are never seen again.”
“Well that’s not good.” Veronica mumbled and you all nodded in agreement.
“Why haven’t we heard of this? Loads of these kids went to school here.” Cheryl asked, reading over your shoulder.
“We have.” Betty replied, now looking at her own phone. “We’ve heard of the gargoyle king. The urban legend. He lures teens into the woods and they are never seen again.”
“Oh yeah. My dad always told me about that. He would tell me never go into the woods with anyone under any circumstances. I think he only told me that so I wouldn’t go with any boys.” You laughed.
“No chance of that happening.” Cheryl teased and kissed your cheek.
“We’ve also heard of the teens that have gone missing. We just never connected them. I think Kevin knew one of them.” Betty continued.
“Joaquin.” Cheryl said sadly.
“Maybe we should talk to him. Find out if he knows anything.” You suggested.
“Me and you can do that if you want? It is lunch after all.” Veronica asked you and you nodded.
“Me and Betty will try and find more on the gargoyle king.” Cheryl said and kissed your cheek.
“I’ll go talk to some people. See if anyone knows anything else.” Archie said and you all began to split up.
“What about me?!” Jughead called after you all.
“Do you wanna help any of us?” Betty asked and he shrugged.
“Do you wanna eat?” You asked.
“Always.” He replied with a smile.
“Try and come up with a plan for afterwards.” Veronica called after him as he walked towards the lunch hall.
“You all know thats not gonna happen.” He replied and you all laughed.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“So you knew Joaquin?” Veronica asked and Kevin nodded sadly. “Can I ask how well?”
“They were sleeping together V.” You whispered and she nodded.
“Oh. Sorry.” She apologized.
“Its fine.” He shrugged.
“Do you know anything about the gargoyle king?” You asked.
“Just the general stories that everyone knows.” He replied. “And what Joaquin told me.”
“What did Joaquin tell you?” Veronica asked.
“Well, do you know Ben and Dilton?” He started and you both nodded. “One day, Joaquin overheard them talking about the gargoyle king in Pops. He asked them what they were talking about because they sounded quite panicked and he was worried about them. They told him that they had been researching him because their friend Ethel had gone missing after trying to find him.”
“Yeah?” You and Veronica asked, leaning closer to him.
“A few weeks had passed and Joaquin had decided to help them. A few of his friends had gone missing in the forest so he understood what they were going through. He became more and more obsessed with it as the weeks went on. He wouldn’t eat, wouldn’t sleep. Would constantly be coming up with different theories about it. The only thing he would talk about would be the gargoyle king. And then one day I went to his because we were supposed to be having a date. When I got there, it was empty. I was worried about him because he promised he would be there so I looked around to see if I could find where he had gone and on his bed was an invitation.”
“An invitation?” Veronica repeated.
“For what?” You asked.
“To meet the gargoyle king.” He replied and you and Veronica gasped.
“What happened next?” You both asked.
“I checked the invite and they were meeting right then. I tried to stop him but by the time I got to the forest it was too late. Someone had been walking their dog just outside the forest, they had thrown the dogs toy in the forest so the dog went in to get it. However the dog didn’t return with its toy, instead it came back with a bloody t-shirt. The owner called the police and by the time I got there it had already been cordoned off and the police were starting their investigation.” He finished and you both sighed. “As soon as I got there I could sense that he was gone.”
“We’re so sorry.” Veronica said sympathetically and you nodded, patting his shoulder lightly.
“If you don’t mind me asking...” You started cautiously.
“Y/n?” Veronica asked warily.
“How do you know Joaquin actually went in?”
Y/n?” Veronica gasped.
“I’m really sorry. I am, but how did you know he went in. You never actually saw him go in.”
“I didn’t have to. I saw the bloody t-shirt the dog had found. It was the one I had bought for Joaquin’s birthday the previous week.” He explained sadly.
“Oh.” You sighed. “Sorry.”
“Its fine. I’m glad I could help.” He forced a smile.
“Again, we’re sorry.” You repeated.
“For everything.” Veronica added.
“If you ever need to talk to someone. We’re here for you. Whenever you need us.” You reassured him.
“Thanks. Just telling someone has made me feel a bit better.” He replied and you both nodded. You and Veronica started to walk out the library but you held back.
“Kevin?” You asked.
“Yeah?”
“Do you still have that invite?”
“Yeah.” He replied. “I’ll give you it later.”
“Thanks.” You smiled and started to walk out.
“Y/n?” He asked and you turned around.
“Yep?”
“Be careful.”
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Hey guys.” Cheryl smiled as she walked into your house.
“Hey.” Everyone mumbled and glanced up from what they were doing.
“Sorry I’m late.” She apologized. “I had homework.”
“Its fine.” Archie shrugged.
“We haven’t really been doing that much.” Betty added.
“Jughead and Hot Dog aren’t even here yet.” You motioned to the amount of food you still had.
“What have you guys been doing?” She asked and sat beside you.
“Well, I’ve been looking at the invitation Joaquin got. Its fascinating. I know the gargoyle king is evil and all but he is remarkably good at calligraphy.” You complimented and she laughed.
“Me and Betty have been helping Archie go over what other people said about the gargoyle king to see if there’s any similarities.” Veronica smiled.
“What do you want me to do?” She asked.
“You can kiss me.” You suggested and she giggled.
“Gladly.” She replied and kissed you.
“Hey guys!!!” Jughead shouted as he walked through the door.
“Its a good job my parents aren’t in.” You rolled your eyes and he laughed. Hot Dog followed him in soon after and started to sniff the air. “Foods over there guys.” You pointed to the breakfast bar without even looking up.
“Thanks.” They both said at the same time and made their way over.
“You got one too?” Jughead asked, stopping in front of you.
“One what?”
“An invitation.” He pointed to the invite on the table.
“You got one of these?” You asked and he nodded.
“Yeah! It was on my bed when I got home yesterday.” He smiled before going to get some food.
“This is bad.” You stated and they nodded.
“Jughead. What date does it say on the invite?” Betty asked.
“The 23rd.” He replied.
“Thats the day after prom.”
“You would think if you were going to try and get teens to do stupid things, prom would be the ideal day.” Veronica wondered.
“You don’t need the gargoyle king to get teens to do stupid things on prom.” You mumbled.
“Why invite Jughead? Why not us?” You asked.
“Well. I suppose he’s more impressionable.” Cheryl suggested and you all looked at him and Hot Dog.
“I know you’re talking about me.” He said.
“Sorry.” You all apologized.
“Meh. Its fine.” He shrugged before going back to eating.
“Jughead?” Archie asked.
“Yeah?” He asked whilst crunching a mouthful of Pringles.
“Don’t go to meet the gargoyle king.”
“I wasn’t going to any way. He doesn’t seem that fun to hang out with. Not like you guys.”
“Awww.”
“Actually.” You started. “This could work in our favour.”
“I think I’m getting a plan.” Archie smiled.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Awww. You look beautiful. Purple really is your colour.” You complimented Veronica and she twirled on the spot.
“Hey guys.” Archie greeted the group.
“Don’t you look handsome.” Betty teased.
“What the hell are you wearing?” Jughead asked through a mouthful of burger.
“The buffet table isn’t even open yet. Where did you get that from?” Betty asked disgusted.
“Went to Pops before hand.” He shrugged. “Now, back to my question. What are you wearing?”
“A suit.” Archie replied confused.
“What are you wearing?” You asked and pointed to the coat he was wearing.
“Jeans and a t-shirt.” He shrugged and unbuttoned his coat. Betty and Veronica rolled their eyes and the rest of you laughed.
“You do know where we are right?” Betty asked.
“The school.” He replied and she huffed.
“I think she meant the event.” Cheryl corrected.
“Ohhh. Thats easy!” He smiled. “Its a party!” He said excitedly and Betty groaned.
“No!” Betty started annoyed.
“Its…” Veronica interrupted. “Its the Spring Formal Dance.”
“Oh. I knew that.” He replied.
“Really?” The five of you asked.
“Yeah. Thats why I brought a tie.” He replied happily and held a tie up.
“You’re supposed to wear that.” Archie pointed to it.
“I know. But I didn’t think it went with this t-shirt.”
“Jesus Christ.” Betty mumbled.
“Swiftly moving on.” You changed the subject.
“Why do you have a purple tie on?” Cheryl asked Archie.
“Wait.” You squealed. “Are you going together?” You looked between Veronica and Archie with a bright smile. Both of them nodded shyly and you squealed louder. “You guys are so cute!”
“He asked me the other day.” Veronica blushed and you all smiled.
“I knew you’s two would get together. It was only a matter of time!” Betty smiled at them.
“Lets dance!” Cheryl grabbed your hand and spun you around making you squeal. “Have I told you, that you are the most beautiful girl here and that I love you more than anything. I adore you.” She smiled at you and you blushed.
“I love you too.” You replied and she spun you around again. “You look perfect.” You complimented her. “You really do take my breath away.” You added and kissed her sweetly.
“Miss Lodge, will you dance with me?” Archie held his hand out to Veronica.
“I would love to Mr Andrews.” She smiled and grabbed his hand. Betty and Jughead stood beside each other awkwardly.
“Don’t forget to keep a look out for you know who!” Cheryl shouted at the rest of the gang.
“Voldemort?” Jughead asked confused.
“No!” You all replied.
“Tree man!” You told him.
“Ohhh.” He replied. “Do you wanna dance?” Jughead asked nervously, turning his attention to Betty.
“You wanna dance with me?” Betty asked.
“Of course. You look amazing.” He complimented and she blushed. “Plus, we’re the only ones left. We look kinda sad just stood here.” He added, and Betty’s smile turned into a frown.
“Screw you Jones.” She muttered and stormed away.
“What did I do?” He asked himself.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Betty?” Jughead asked. You had all sat down for a bit to take a break from dancing and so you could eat.
“Yes?” She asked annoyed.
“What exactly have I done that has annoyed you?”
“What have you done?” She repeated loudly and the rest of you looked at them.
“Yeah? I just asked that.”
“You asked me to dance with you because we were the only ones left.” She said angrily and you all sighed.
“It was a valid point. We did look kinda sad just standing there.” He argued. “But I did think you looked pretty.” He added.
“Sure you did.” She sighed and crossed her arms. She turned her attention away from the Jughead, instead focusing on the couples dancing.
“Go on.” You nodded your head towards Betty but Jughead just shrugged.
“Just kiss already. We all know you like each other.” Veronica teased.
“I do not like him! He’s an idiot.” Betty exclaimed.
“And I don’t like her. She’s a nerd!” He argued and Betty gasped offended.
“Betty we all know, for some reason that you like Betty. And Jughead, we all know that you like Betty. I mean how couldn’t you.” You winked at Betty and she laughed.
“So. Why don’t you ask her to dance?” Archie asked.
“And not just because you’re the only ones left.” Cheryl added.
“Fine.” He took a deep breath and faced Betty. “Do you wanna dance?” He asked and held his hand out to her.
“Fine.” She agreed, but you could tell she was trying to to smile. He pulled her up from the chair and they walked towards the dance floor.
“Thank god for that.” Cheryl mumbled.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Okay. I’m in a dark scary forest, trying to find a scary tree man that is probably going to kill me. This is fun. This is normal. This is great.” Jughead mumbled to himself. After prom you had decided to go back to yours (like usual) to go over the plan for the next night. You may have left out the bit about Jughead going into the forest alone though. “Tree man?” He asked. “I got your invitation. Are you having a tea party or is it a buffet situation because I have had a lot to eat already?” He rambled and looked around the forest. He turned around and screamed at the sight of the gargoyle king in front of him. “But thats okay. I’m sure I’ll be able to eat.” He laughed nervously. “You know tea parties are usually a lot more fun when there’s more than two people.” He added and the gargoyle king moved towards him. “Or not. I get it. More food for you. I get that. Sooooo.” What are we doing here?”
“King. I found these lurking by the woods.” Two men dragged you, Cheryl, Veronica and Archie with them. “I think they were spying.” They threw you to the ground and you groaned.
“Could you be a bit gentler next time?” Veronica asked sarcastically. “Do you know how much this outfit cost?”
“Shut up.” One of them spat.
“Wait. I know you! You’re Dilton. Was the boy scouts just not exciting anymore?” You asked.
“He said shut up.” The other one said.
“Joaquin?” Cheryl asked.
“Why Joaquin? Why are you worshipping the creepy tree man? Like Dilton I get, he’s a bit weird, a bit of a loner. But come on. You’re cool. And you had Kevin. He’s heartbroken without you. He thinks your dead.” You shook your head disappointed.
“Shut up.” He repeated.
“Is that really the only thing you can say?” Cheryl asked.
“Oh hey Jughead.” You winked at him. “Fancy seeing you here.”
The gargoyle king waved Joaquin and Dilton off, they nodded before walking further into the forest.
“Soooo. This is fun.” You said awkwardly and looked around.
“And I thought Sundays with my family were awkward.” Cheryl sighed.
“Ha. I’ve been to them and they are awkward as hell.” You agreed and they laughed slightly. “Hey! Get your twigs off me!” You shouted, the gargoyle king had gripped the back of your head and pulled you up. “Oh boy.” You mumbled when you saw a knife.
“Y/n!” Cheryl cried, the rest of the group moved closer to you.
“Its fine.” You reassured her. “I’m fine.”
“Please don’t kill me.” You pleaded.
You heard footsteps and shouting and you were quickly dropped to the floor. The gargoyle king was screaming in pain, causing Joaquin and Dilton to run back. Archie and Jughead grabbed them and restrained them as you stood up and restrained the gargoyle king.
“Thanks for the extra rope tip Archie.” You said and he winked.
“No problem.” He replied.
“What the fuck is that?” Veronica asked.
“A hedge trimmer.” Betty replied. Her gaze followed the rest of the groups to the floor, where a pile of twigs lay. The ‘gargoyle king’ stood beside her.
“That was so cool!” Jughead smiled and moved to hug her. “Ah.” He sighed and motioned to her hands. “Maybe not.” He moved back a bit. She laughed before dropping the hedge trimmer to the floor and moving to hug him. “I’m so proud of you.” He mumbled and hugged her tighter.
“You all thought my hedge trimmer idea was stupid.” You mumbled and Cheryl smiled at you.
“I thought it was genius.” She reassured you.
“So did I.” Betty agreed and you high-fived her.
“I think we’re forgetting about something.” Archie interrupted.
“Oh yeah.” You all muttered.
“Who is the gargoyle king then?” Jughead asked.
“Wait!” Veronica stopped you from unmasking them.
“What?” You asked.
“Are you okay?” Archie asked her.
“How are we going to find out who it is?”
“What do you mean?” Cheryl asked.
“Well. Its made of twigs.” She replied.
“Betty. Get the hedge trimmer again.” Jughead told her.
“No!” Everyone shouted.
“I’ll just take the mask off!” You said.
“Mr!-” You all gasped.
“Wait. Who exactly are you?” Jughead asked.
“Hiram Lodge.”
“Yeah, I dunno who you are.”
“You ruined my drug ring a few years ago. You guys took it down. I thought I’d get you back. You ruined me.” He replied through gritted teeth, his hand clutched his arm that was bleeding slightly.
“Why do all this?” Archie asked and gestured around.
“Because I thought I would use what you love most against you all. I created a mystery and you just had to meddle.”
“Yeah. Yeah.” You interrupted. “We’ve heard the whole meddling thing a few times now. Well. The police are here. Great timing. Take them away.” The police officers nodded and took the three away.
“So…” Archie started.
“Has everyone finished the chemistry project we had?” You asked.
“Yeah.” Cheryl and Betty replied.
“We had a chemistry project?” Jughead asked, slightly panicked.
“Yeah. Its due tomorrow.” Archie told him. “Me and Veronica only have a little bit left to do.” He added and wrapped his arm around her waist making her smile. There was a moment of silence as you continued to walk back to the van.
“Do you all wanna come to mine? You can finish it there.” You asked and everyone agreed. However Jughead remained silent.
“We’ll help you finish it Juggy.” Betty said with a smile and held his hand.
“Thanks.” He mumbled.
“We’ll help you start it too.” You added and he smiled brightly at you.
“Thanks.” He smiled at you all and you laughed. Cheryl held your hand tightly and you kissed her cheek as you got closer to the van. Hot Dog came running towards you all and knocked Jughead over making the group laugh.
“I wonder what its going to be next.” Jughead wondered out loud once he stood up.
“You’ve just jinxed it now!” Veronica complained and hit his arm lightly.
“What?” He replied confused. “I was just wondering.”
“I was hoping that nothing else would happen.” Veronica explained.
“Its Riverdale. Something is always going to be next.” Betty sighed.
“Yeah. But I wouldn’t have it any other way.” You smiled contently.
