this is why i cant stand the zutara fandom from the hypocrisy, the igornace of canon, ignoring kataras agency , the hate towards aang, the sexist hate towards mai, the handwaving of aang trauma the sludge i went through with the tags as a zutara shipper.. made me nearly hate the ship.. it waasnt kataang fans that nearly killed a ship/ ruined zuko for me it was zutara fandom. sure not everyone thinks that way but so many of em do and it ruined the fandom experience for me i had to block the tag i still ship but it have zero interest in a fandom that hates the show /main character/ heck im convinced 90 percent of em hate canon zuko /katara cause they sure never talk about their canon personalitys kts all just boring fanon to throw shit/aang/mai worse shipping fandom i ever met..

The only thing I'll disagree with is the point about Mai and Azula. While fear/intimidation/Azula being her princess before being her friend WAS the main reason why their friendship crumbled, it wasn't as simple as Mai being just her puppet. We literally see her deciding, of her own free will, to go help Azula in book 2.

She made a bad choice by joining Azula. So did Zuko. If anything, the complexity of "I cared about this person, but the relationship got toxic and I had to distance myself from them because of it, and now to make things even worse we're in opposing sides of a war" is something they can both relate to - hence Zuko not holding it against Mai, since that is a mistake he also made.

It's almost like they are compatible or something...

describing a list of physical traits feels clinical, so i'll give you some vibes and let you glean information from that. outwardly i may seem more alt (think leather jackets and dyed hair) but my insides are more soft (think eternal pajamas and pink cheeks). i'm a generally anxious person, but i like music (singing or making playlists) and art (looking at or making myself) to calm down. movies and books are also good. i'm more of a homebody generally, but going out for special things is nice!

Just like initially off the bat of not wanting to describe yourself physically i feel that would be a very connor thing to do too and you both have more of a cynical (i dont think thats the word im looking for but its here now) and just like a similar outlook on how society perceives things that would make you guys be able to have good conversations.

On the other hand of that, if youre anxious and need space, Connor wouldn’t even question it. He would be like yes okay. You know where I am. Hed double check youre in a safe environment before leaving you alone but he’d give you space when needed without you feeling obligated to be there.

Youd probably steal some or Connors outfits based off your outward aesthetic. Also I feel Connor is the kind of impulsive thinker that would let you use extra hair dye on him,like a strip of pink hair and if he hated it,he hated it. He just wanted to try.

Connor seems like hard on the surface but I feel like he just needs someone you know? He’d be someone that wouldnt say anything if you were having a bad anxiety day, just rub your back and kiss the top of your head.

Hed probably also be into small ways of showing affection like making you pancakes you wake up to in the morning.

Ive always thought connor would be an artist and because youre an artist too i can work with artist connor. You guys would put some music on and just create. It would be really therapeutic to him, especially after a hard day. He would be able to look up from his work and see you in the zone and just get so happy to see you in your element that he gets back into his

Like once he painted an abstract painting that was just a bunch of colours to a random person but you can tell what it is.
