Actually I rlly hate the fact that abelism against folks w NPD is so ingrained in the very words we use to describe folks we don't like, bc I honestly hardly ever feel safe correcting folks who use "narcissist" as an insult, bc half the time I know they're going to start spouting shit abt how having personality disorders means you're abusive
AND I DON'T EVEN HAVE NPD.
I cannot IMAGJNE how much more awful it is for folks who ACTUALLY EXPERIENCE NPD to try and correct folks on their harmful language.
It just makes me sad, and I hate feeling so scared and unsafe to correct others, bc I know that I'm more safe than folks w NPD to correct them w/our risk of being hurt for it.

AND THEY TAKE IT SO PERSONALLY WHEN YOU CORRECT THEM, TOO
"Oh well my dad's uncle's dog's rat's fifth cousin removed actually had NPD so I actually would know that they have NPD"
NO YOU DON'T ??????
"Oh well my mom was actually DIAGNOSED with NPD so I'm allowed to say that"
NO YOU'RE NOT ?????
Like dude your mom isn't an asshole BECAUSE she has NPD, she's an asshole bc she's an asshole. Just bc she has NPD doesn't mean she's evil bc of it ???? Like that's LITERALLY not how that works.
