Hermempirescraft Jimmy should still get canary wings except this time he has two servers’ worth of People With Experience to help him.
YESSSSSS - although given who we're dealing with here, I'm not exactly sure if "help" is the right word -
Jimmy's wings start coming in a week after the Hermempirescraft fusion. By now, he's just about figured out that something about him spells bad news in situations where death is a possibility. Every time he's walked past the Boatem hole, somebody falls into it, and he's completely given up saying hi in chat in the morning because of how often the greeting is "coincidentally" followed by a death message. In this world, though, respawn seems to be a more sure thing than in the Empires world alone, so it doesn't really cause him any stress. It's just funny and kind of annoying. The wings, though...are a bit harder to come to terms with. It was just really sudden, and it itches, and how is he supposed to use these things when he can barely even land with an elytra without breaking an ankle on a good day - !
Thankfully (?) he has Grian and fWhip! They're here! They have wings! They're ready to help! By giving wildly conflicting advice! Loudly! At the exact same time! :D
Grian genuinely wants to be helpful, but he's just had his wings for so long that he doesn't really serve as a great teacher for how to adjust to them at the beginning. Also, his "bully Jimmy" instincts are so strong that most of his "advice" just boils down to flying loops around Jimmy's head while saying "why can't you just do this, Tim! Just fly like this!" Meanwhile, fWhip has a lot more recent experience with navigating newfound winged-ness, but his daredevil tendencies really don't mesh well with Jimmy's desire to Not Die Eight Million Times in the process of learning. Any question along the lines of "well how did you figure this part out?" usually ends up with fWhip showing off his wide collection of scars from minor scrapes and scratches earned bouncing off rooftops and clipping fences as he zoomed around the Grimlands to improve his muscle memory.
Between the two of them, though, Jimmy does learn a lot! By flying away from them. Rapidly. They've concocted some game for him to "improve reflexes" that involves playing chicken with a piece of lit TnT, and Jimmy isn't really sure where this whole thing went so badly off the rails but he knows damn well he doesn't want anything to do with that -
Of course, after he does manage to get airborne in the combination of panic and explosion updraft, fWhip and Grian claim that that was their plan all along and are very pleased with themselves for being such good teachers. They genuinely are proud of Jimmy, though! They take off and fly with him as he woops and spins and enjoys the feel of the breeze through his new feathers, and they all land in a laughing heap when Jimmy realizes he doesn't have the built up muscle to stay flying for long yet. That will develop with time, though - time, more "fun games", and many more teaching sessions to come.

DC Superhero Girls Prequel idea
Even if it’s not necessarily the greatest thing ever, I do enjoy the DC Superhero Girls web series and movies. It’s right up there with the Tinkerbell movies imo, where along with a decent amount of world building and character development, it’s also just cute, well written and just enjoyable to watch ^v^ But, since Superman is apparently an alumni of Superhero High in this universe, I couldn’t help but think of a sort of prequel to DCSHG, starring the Boy of Steel. Here are just a few of my ideas:
Clark/Superboy is of course the new kid, still getting used to his powers, while also being the typical heart-of-gold country boy. He’s a bit awkward and is still learning things like control, but ultimately is charming and a good student even if he’s not perfect. He also tries to be friends with the school’s infamous Bruce Wayne, no matter how hard it may be.
Bruce hasn’t come up with his Bat-persona quite yet (I could see him finally putting it together around his last year at Superhero High), he just knows that he wants to train and become a great hero that’s strong enough to protect everyone. As such, he’s your typical dark loner who always seems to be either in the library or the gym studying and training. Once he (reluctantly) starts hanging out with Clark, he’s able to give him combat and strategy tips while Clark in return gives him someone to spar with
Of course the boys becoming friends leads to plenty of cute friendship moments of them hanging out either in Clark’s dorm, the Kent Farm, and Wayne Manor (as well as an in-progress version of the Batcave). Ma and Pa Kent treat Bruce like another son, and Bruce actually doesn’t mind it even if it does admittedly make him feel a bit awkward at first. On the flip side, Alfred approves of Clark and is happy that he’s friends with Bruce.
Jack Napier/Joker sorta plays the Harley Quinn role in this series, though his pranks are at times a bit more cruel than hers are in DCSHG. He’s also pretty mischievous, but doesn’t care about getting detention. His partner-in-crime is Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin, who actually sorta has powers in this since he can communicate with and train any and all birds, as well as having all his umbrella weapons. The two of them still participate in various classes and even help out when they hear the Save the Day alarms. However, they’ve got no qualms about being sneaky, cheating on homework/tests, or messing with other students.
Other than hanging out with Bruce, Clark also tends to hang out a lot with the two exchange students of the school, Arthur/Aquaman and J’onn J’onnz/Martian Manhunter. Arthur is very upper class like Penguin and Bruce, though he still manages to be friendly and outgoing even if he speaks and dresses very regally. He’s also up there as one of the school’s best athletes and leads ocean-related volunteer clean-up days. As for J’onn, he’s very quiet and tends to blend in/sneak up on people. However, he gives good advice and doesn’t mind tagging along with friends. He and Clark can also sort of relate to each other since they’re both still learning control (J’onn tends to read people’s minds just on instinct, which can lead to problems at times)
Lex Luthor is also a student. He’s a techie, one of the top science students, and is a master at robotics (so he kinda fits into the Bumblebee role of the series). However, he sometimes gets jealous of the other heroes, even if he knows he’s not the only student there without powers
I feel like the principal of the school would be Dr. Fate, since Amanda Waller seems a bit too young to still be principal in Supes’ time
Younger Jim Gordon isn’t a student at Superhero High, but he does sometimes help out when he sees the other heroes working. I was also thinking maybe Lana Lang could be there too (Lois is a teen in DCSHG, so I can’t really include her)
Other students of the school could include the Flash (Jay Garrick, since apparently Barry Allen is the Flash in DCSHG), John Constantine, Livewire, Plastic Man (Joker’s rival for class clown), Zatanna, Hawkman (since Hawkgirl is in DCSHG, we can just say that Hawkman is her older cousin or brother or something) Shazam and, of course, the infamous school couple that everyone supports and ships, Black Canary and Green Arrow.
So yeah, this was just a fun scenario that I’ve been thinking about for a while and I just figured I’d share my thoughts with you guys ^v^ And if anyone’s got any additions, ideas or suggestions, I’d love to hear them!
