Ahh okay dream 1

These will probably be pretty condensed cause its just one of those dreams where you had to be there....

So, the first dream somehow i was casted into a new mini series tv show. And we basically filmed the pilot or the first couple of episodes not thinking much, but the pilot leaked? and went viral online. It was insane. 

I was the only person in the main cast who wasnt super famous and they just happened to take a chance on. It was me, cole sprouse, lili reinhart, maybe kj apa?? although im not sure, and connor woods like fibulaaa. 

And it was basically riverdale hahaha. But so much better. It was like a dark drama where we were solving mysteries, well we hadnt gotten that far but the pilot was the exposition of a mystery that we were going to come together to solve. We were a group of young friends, and we were sitting in a park/parking lot and talking and connor was throwing a basket ball around the group.

And the color scheme was very filmy and aesthetic and the writing was amazing and most importantly i sounded natural and organic!! Like im literally not an actor lmao, but i did a good job. 

So we filmed it, idk if it was the teaser that got out or the pilot but basically. Something got posted on twitter and it blew up, and it was like INSTANT fame for me. Like i was gaining 100s of thousands of followers, people were looking up everything ive ever done and trying to make connections to the show and my career, it was fucking insane. 

I posted something in regards to the show, and a random person found a bunch of my film pictures which apparently i had some with connor and sally darrs whole group and they put them in the twitter thread so now MY film pictures were going viral. And people were starting to ship me and connor and say like “ooh theyve been friends maybe thats how they got the role”

And i was like omg how did they find those!! Also yes connor and i are friends now but when the pictures were taken it was like our friend groups first time hanging out with connor and sally darrs group and i just happened to take pictures cause i was excited and they really liked us and i wanted to make it look like we were longtime friends. 

So it was crazy. I was on the phone with people flipping out that i went viral. Dalvin even came up to me and was like woah arielle you were cast in “whatever the show was called” and i was like yeah!! and he was like thats so cool. 

At one point i was in hs and m*d* came in my class and i was trying to show her like look, this tweet went viral and im on this show and she was like 

“Does bri river like those people?” and i was like what???? i dont know i don’t follow her, to support you wtf?? How is that the first thing you ask me when im doing something successful like how are you making it about you? (except i didnt say all that just the first part) 

Anyways, everything was happening so fast and i was so excited and because it was going viral it was a big indicator that the show was gonna be picked up and we’d get to film more epsiodes and it’d be popular. It was coming on TV and i was like “woah i didnt even know it was coming on tv yet??” 

I was excited for the press runs, like i wonder what my outfit is going to be and its gonna be so fun to do all of this with like cole sprouse and lili reinhart like im gonna be recognized as a huge actor this is insane. And people were so curious about me because i was the only nobody. 

ahhhhhhhhhhhh isnt that insane!! It was so fun and exciting and i was so happy.

Oh and VERY IMPORTANT, before i fell asleep i SPECIFICALLY asked spirit for help on career path and.....whats my purpose and am i supposed to be applying for sm jobs on linkedin. soo.....don’t know what this means yet. But in addition to my tswift and renee rapp dreams. ALso the dream where my dad posted a tweet that went viral on twitter. Somethings...brewing :)

Another thing going about and its necessary to address it, is the fact that people are BODY SHAMING.

Lets put it this way, so this can get into your preppy little fucked up minds.

2020 has been hard for all of us. Staying at home was not easy especially when the world was going through the same thing as a whole.

During this time, People have lost loved ones, people have welcomed new born babies, people have separated, people have got married, women have become mothers, people gained weight, people lost weight too, people have found new hobbies, people have stopped old bad habits, people have been through a lot. But what matters is how much have we all changed for the good?? Are we all grateful to still be alive, or are we just using this life we have to bring others down because of physical appearances if nothing else.

You're sitting at home, eating, watching a serial, and pointing out how a person has changed? Let me remind you all, CELEBRITIES, ACTORS, are human beings too. They have also faced the traumas of the pandemic. If they've added on a little weight, they can get it down.

Typing shit from behind your devices, because you feel entitled to speak about someone you barely know or have never met, is the most disgusting thing to do. If you can't speak anything good shut your mouth. There's way too much hate and we don't need more people picking on small matters. Its not your body, not your health not you business, SO STOP hating on someone else.

Now, lets talk about the main reason I started writing this. Cole Sprouse. He is a human being, before anything else. He has a body, brain, heart, soul, mind, and everything any other normal human beings have. Right? okay, thanks for agreeing to that atleast. He knows what's good for him and whats not. He is 28 for God sake, he can take care of himself. He is doing his job to entertain us, JUST watch it. You are not entitled to his personal health, hygiene, appearance or whatever. He has people around him to tell him that. and whatever be the reason, he is still an amazing and a good human.

And hate to break it to you, but even if say 100,000 people show him hate, there are still millions of people who LOVE HIM for who he is.

Gaining weight is not a sin, but when you sit behind your device and spew hate, is what is wrong. Reevaluate your decisions, and ideas. Keep an open mind. This world is made of all of us, and we need to support eachother.

Body shaming is never an excuse. Body shaming has been taught to people. If people saw us for who we are internally and not just the outside, this world wouldn't be filled with cheaters, and fake people everywhere. Lets try and reduce those kind of people and change ourselves.

you never know what someone is going through in their lives. Seeing just one part of it is not enough to make decisions about their lives. Be friendly and spread love, because this life is not forever.

Every story ever has its end or the summary of the thoughts on the past #sprousehart era and attempts to change the attitude of others to this illusionary world

Dear fellows, from the very first days of the origin and further existence of mankind on the planet, in each period more and more foundations, irreversible phenomena and laws in nature or the society in which man lived and continues to live appeared. Time is fleeting, night turns to morning, year to year, and every story ever has its end. You can object, say that this is complete nonsense, but unfortunately everything in our world is natural and therefore in the same way one story of two wonderful people - Lili Pauline Reinhart and Cole Mitchell Sprouse - ended.

Their relationship was and will remain one of the most beautiful and unlike in comparison with others, at least based on what I could witness, love story. And even though this love story began seemingly banal with an audition for the role and the set, it was so real, amazing, which many could dream about, with its special feature of gradual disclosure, so enticing, and that is why it probably resonated so much, along with other reasons.

Like any other relationship, this relationship was based on many things and included many reasons for existence. Starting with a slight interest in each other, first liking and flirting, then there was a strong and almost immediate attraction to each other that they both talked about, a passion visible in the way they acted out scenes together and in glimpses of information from others. Then, after some time, the romantic charm passed, and a new stage began – getting used to each other, building a joint life, adapting to the peculiarities and shortcomings of the partner, and it is during this time the couple tries to create a happy and satisfying relationship for each. Accordingly, everyone got a desire to stand out from the other, to be significant not only in the relationship, but also outside of it, which is why they kept their privacy and wanted everyone to perceive them as separate individuals. They clearly tried to control what they shared with the world, and gradually the amount of what they shared increased. We were lucky to witness many, even small, moments in their lives. We were allowed to see the whole development, although some of it was very hidden, starting with the sarcastic banter on Twitter, the tempting 'Tempt me!', then multiple photos of fans with them, then supposedly random photos of Cole, with Lili in the background, or other way around, then many other breadcrumbs, then expanding of the circle of friends where his friends are now hers and vice versa, family meetings following by huge support to the certain time, then an infinity of her photos taken by him, so divine and beautiful, as well as photos taken by her of him, then numerous long or not so long trips to various places, the first vocation trip together which was made public, then 'No comment!', then more words about love in public media, birthday wishes, comments, bouquets just like that and on special days, 72 roses, chocolate-covered strawberries, the way they were baking together, him making a grilled cheese for her, them watching the sunset at Debby's and the other times we haven't seen, the time when Antelope Valley has become an indicator, the most tender words about each other, endless heart eyes, her inability to stop sitting on his lap, and his habit of touching her shoulder, neck, jokes understandable only to them, the words of others about them as if they are friends for 20 years already, knowledge of each other's body language, bragging about wonderful sexy times and the beauty of each other, giving cute nicknames, comfort, joint red carpet moments, him shaking her of joyness, constant support and much more, what we could obviously notice in social networks, interviews, after videos/photos of paparazzi, almost complete idyll at first glance and so on. All this is certainly only what we were allowed to see or what we guessed having observed various facts and over time it has gotten more obvious, and it was an insanely beautiful experience to be a spectator of all this for which I am grateful that is why I sincerely wish myself and all of you to look at it from the point of view that you need to smile because it happened and not cry because it's over. Nevertheless sometimes if you get too involved you can start looking at it through the prism of pink glasses of love and admiration, enjoying every moment they directly or indirectly shared with us, and accordingly, the impression of a fairy tale is being formed that does not quite correctly reflect reality and it does not allow us to perceive the other part on the other side of the screen/social networks, because we simply do not see it. However, I don't want anyone to take it as if I believe that everything they shared was untrue and false, completely out of the blue. All I want to convey to any reader is that everything we saw was only in an unreal bubble of illusions, since the Internet and social networks, which are, after all, this very bubble in its essence, which we ourselves and they decided to form, allowing us to take it as they want and this is normal, and life is very far from perfect or dreamlike. That is to say life is such an unpredictable thing, where everything is justifiably natural and sometimes things just don't work out the way we would like them to, including relationships which are also a complex structure that is not easy to build correctly, sometimes even with a strong attraction and a strong sense of love, there are things that cannot be corrected or changed. As well as you cannot change the essence of a person and his worldview, his personality, internal or external qualities, his behavior, his views on life and goals, his mistakes and position in society, loss of trust, his moral and physical endurance, other side things like sharing very little time for the second half in connection with business or temporary work, unwillingness to accept any conditions, commitment, settling down or restriction of something, lack of compromise, fading feelings because of passed desire and passion, external factors, especially if we are talking about a public couple/popular people, such as dramas in social networks, created by fans or family/friends, stress from the strong involvement of others or non-acceptance of partner selection by relatives, and so on. Just sometimes if after a while two people failed to get accustomed to each other, as if a plant were transplanted into a new soil or some organ to the human body, thanks to some external or internal features, obstacles, be it custom qualities or external influence on each other with the constant tries for the reconstruction of another and over time awareness of the fact that what has been created by the supreme cannot be altered and adjusted for something else, becoming more and more negative, when one of them in its content can no longer learn to cope with the environment and the further continuation of the joint work of the struggle can lead to the bad conditions of both, with exhaustion from this struggle and, accordingly, to the death of cells. And all this exhaustion for whatever reason can also be theoretically and philosophically equated to the bowels of the earth and depleted sources. After all, a person get used to using fresh water, the earth's mineral resources, eating plants and fruits, vegetables, buying things, and so on, but sometimes it happens that this is either limited or ends and nature is no longer able to provide us with anything, after constant giving, and in return receiving only harm or damage. This is a very complex science and this is a life where, as I already said, many things are not the way we picture them to be. So many interpretations and/or reasons can and could be hidden behind all these failures/ends/dissensions/decays/breakups/bad moments in life, and I cannot even list all the options, but I have some general considerations on the specific occasion, but I do not want to start the speculation now and go into details about why and how I think the end of this love story that we all loved happened, cause it is not my business and I am no one to judge someone or even dare to talk about it when I am not them or relative/friend to any of them and I haven't seen the actual period of their relationship and how it was going from the beginning to the end except my own representation of everything based on this social-media bubble, and each of you can have your own thoughts and draw your own conclusions. However, it goes without saying that even after any obstacles, failures and heart and soul break and with the passage of time, everything constantly takes place to change in any way, people change, the behavior change, the attitude change, and so on, one moment the doors are closed, in the other you open them or they are opened for you so in the end a person finds their happiness and purpose despite previous mistakes and shortcomings.

The penultimate thing I want to say is that obviously, after all this, you are already starting to think about something and I really hope so, given what I said about life and bubbles of unreality in our time, and as you gain experience in this fandom and being a fan very much involved in all of this it can be very useful for us to eventually rethink how much we were involved and how much energy we were giving this every time, and I have already made a whole post about this. And particularly good for me were  the recent events when there is no particular food for thought and to be involved, I'm more and more alienated from the lives of other strangers, and the more time passes, the more relaxed I began to react to many things, although it also sometimes was hard to deal with all the drama and speculation, constantly think through all sorts of logical outcomes, since I am such a person by nature and I cannot be calm without a logical conclusion, and I am still digesting the whole situation happening since the beginning of this year with the fandom and the relationship of these two people, however, as much as I would not like to clearly represent everything and have a clear picture now it does not matter, the main thing is that it was and it just needs to step over, swallow and not give too much attention to this, because unfortunately we could not control the whole situation, we could not prevent what happened and what could have happened just because we are not the supreme or these same people and it is not our business.

In conclusion, even if some may think of me as a soulless person or that I do not care about others, know that this is far from it, I just try and will try to find a way out of the situation, reorganize and look at everything objectively and with a grain of salt because I believe that this is the right decision to be detached in any way from someone else's experiences, especially from those who are so far from us, and bad moments, so as not to have any attachment, hope and faith, so that it does not hurt us later. But I am certainly an emotional person and my heart just bursts with pain when I see that many people strongly bring down themselves and suffer from the fact that there was some kind of non-related to them co-ordinal change, although this is not the end of the world, and therefore I consider it my duty to try to somehow distract some of you and calm down on this account, as once I was helped by others and my own search for the right attitude.

BIO: 

Gray always liked being part of a big family; he liked being around people and was engaging and charming, drawing others to him even when he was very young.  He loved Remy and Finn and Finn became his hero as they grew older.  Gray wanted to be just like him.  They had been a military family when the three were young, their father gone a lot and Gray was excited when he was coming home.  It made Mom so happy.  And then it wasn’t and he was gone.  He took comfort in the others and cared for Mom.  It was a hard time but she kept them all together.  

But then Burt came into their lives.  It was some crazy Brady Bunch type situation.  He had three great sons of his own and Gray couldn’t have been more happy when he gained three new brothers.  There were struggles but the family was happy and found ways to make it work.  Burt and Carole taught the children what was expected of them in the futue, regardless of the mark they would get.  Gray wasn’t worried and focus on school.  He wasn’t sure what he wanted to do after he graduated but he wanted it to be important, to do good things.  He was smart, he loved school especially writing and science.  He worked hard and wanted to make everyone proud of him and not wanting to fail.  

When Burt became a Congressman, Gray finally had that “ah ha” moment; he wanted to do something in public service, to work and fight for the causes and rights that were important to him.  After school he worked in Burt’s shop to help out plus he liked keeping busy and kept Burt from having to worry while he was in Washington.  But it finally was time for Gray to leave, to find a claim and start building his future.  The Hummel boys were all in Lima and so was Remy so it only made sense for him to join them.  He could only hope that Finn would join them at some point.  It ws a new adventure and he hoped it would be a worthwhile one.

What is your biggest fear and why?  

Failing the expectations of others, but more importantly my own.  Not finding a claim, or one that will support me as much as I would them

What 3 objects/places mean the most to you and why?

*my notebooks.  I don’t tend to keep a journal as much as I just dump thoughts into them.  It could be my own thoughts or story ideas; basically the jumble in my brain in written form.

*the kitchen at home.  some of my best, favorite memories are being in there and helping Mom cook.  Even if I didn’t learn as much as I probably should, it was getting to spend time with her that mattered

*my notre dame sweatshirt.  It’s faded and old but my bio dad got it for me when I was little, well littler, and it is one thing that keeps his memory alive for me.  I still wear it on Saturday mornings during games.  I could imagine getting rid of it or getting a new one.

Who is the one person you’d most like to meet (dead or alive)?

I think I would pick the Dalai Lama.  He’s been in the position since the 50s.  So much of the world has changed for good and bad and he remains and still living a life of peace and love, or at least trying.  I would love the chance just to talk and listen to him about life in general.

What is the one moment you would describe as your happiest/most excited?

When Burt and Carole got married.  They were so happy and our family all became official, plus she didn’t have to worry what would happen to her, to us, and she found one of the best men in Burt.

Chemistry | Part 1 | COLE SPROUSE X READER

Description: When Camila hosts a viewing part for the season 1 premiere of Riverdale, the reader find out that the fans ship her and Cole together on and off screen. So she decides to have some fun with it.

Chemistry isn’t something you can fake no matter how good of an actress or actor you are. You either have it or you don’t and I’ve yet to find to a way to create it if it’s just not there.

I’m pretty sure the main reason I got my job on Riverdale was because of the chemistry I had with my co-star, Cole Sprouse. I auditioned for the role of a girl who played his character Jughead’s love interest on the show, so it was important to the casting director that whoever played this character got along with Cole.

Cole was in the room reading lines with the people auditioning for the role and it became inherently obvious within the first 20 seconds that we had great chemistry and similar interests.

I walked into the room wearing dark wash jeans and a black and white flannel with white converse. Cole stood up straight off of the table he was leaning against and looked me up and down. He too was wearing dark wash jeans and a black and white flannel with white converse, though he made it look one hundred times better than I did.

Cole broke out in a grin and chuckled. “I like your style…” he trailed off not knowing my name.

“(Y/N),” I supplied him with a smile of my own. “And thank you I like yours as well. Great minds think alike and I have a great one,” I said with a wink.

The people in the room all let out a laugh at my response. Cole walked up to me and reached a hand out. “Well nice to meet you (Y/N) I’m Cole Sprouse and I’ll be one of your co-stars if you get this role.”

I firmly grasped his reached out hand and shook it firmly. “Nice to meet you too Cole though I already knew your name. I don’t live under a rock.”

And the rest as they say is history.  I got a call the next day saying I got the part and showed up to set the following week. That was a year ago.

Cole and I’s characters have yet to do anything but almost kiss a few times to the frustration of the fans who ship them together. On screen, however both Jughead and my character have admitted that they like one another to their friends which means when we do scenes together I have to add in the awkward teenage hormone situation they have going on.

Since Cole and I are such good friends in real life, it’s hard not to laugh during serious scenes together so it’s not uncommon for us to break down into a fit of giggles when the director yells cut. The hardest ones to film are the scenes where the sexual tension between our characters is through the roof but we are both professional actors so we manage.

The season 1 finale was set to air tonight and Camila was hosting a party for the cast and crew. I knew that I would have a great time but KJ, Lili, and I would probably be the only one’s not drinking tonight because we’re all under 21.

I waltzed into Camila’s apartment not bothering to knock. A lot of people were already there drinking and eating pizza on the couch in front of the TV. I made my way into the kitchen to get something without alcohol.

“Wow (Y/N) it’s nice to see you so dressed up for once,” a familiar voice said from the doorway. I looked up from pouring my drink to see Cole standing in the doorway leaning casually against the wall. He was obviously poking fun at me because I was wearing skinny jeans and a t shirt that was one size to big.

I rolled my eyes and took a sip of my drink. “I came here to eat pizza and watch all of ya’ll get drunk Cole. I’m not gonna dress up when there’s about a 75 percent chance of me getting thrown up on tonight.”

He laughed and came into the kitchen. “Who do you think’s gonna be the one that throws up on you?”

I looked out into the living room which I could see because Camila’s apartment was very open. My eyes focused on Casey who was drinking a beer and laughing with the occasional hiccup. “Casey for sure,” I answered. I leaned against the counter behind me and began chugging my drink.

“What the hell (Y/N) is that vodka?” Cole asked shocked.

I put my glass down and looked at him incredulously. “No you idiot I literally just turned 20 this is water. Plus who the hell would pour themselves 32 ounces of hard liquor?”

He walked closer to me and leaned against the counter directly to my left. “Someone who’s looking to get fucked up,” he said in a voice that resembled that of a valley girl’s.

I threw my head back with laughter and smiled up at Cole who was staring at me intently. “What?” I asked raising an eyebrow. “Is there something in my teeth?”

“No! I was just-,” he started looking away from me. “Never mind.”

I nodded my head letting it go and checked the time on my phone. “Finale airs in 3 minutes we should go get some seats while there’s still some left.”

Cole and I ended up sitting on the floor in front of couch next to each other. By the end of the finale my head was resting on his shoulder while his arm was wrapped around my shoulder holding me in place. I started to doze off because I was so comfortable but sat up straight when everyone around me started to wolf whistle.

I rubbed my eyes and looked at the screen to see Camila and KJ in a hot make out session as the opening beats to Believer started to play. Cole and I’s big scene was about to come up and I was excited to see how it turned out.

“Get some Apa!” a very drunk Casey yelled raising his bottle. We all laughed at him and watched as Camila started to strip on screen

I groaned loudly. “I feel so dirty watching this,” I said covering my eyes.

“You’re so innocent (Y/N). What are you gonna do when you and Cole’s character finally get together?” Lili asked with a laugh. “You’ll probably end up making out with Cole within the first month of filming next season.”

“I am so looking forward to that,” Cole said smiling down at me.

I bumped my shoulder against his playfully and tried to hide the blush I could feel rising to my cheeks. “We’ll cross that bridge when we get to it alright.”

A voice I recognized as my own came through the speakers. I watched intently as Cole and I’s characters walked around his dad’s house talking about that nights events. They ended up in the kitchen where my character leaned against the counter talking to Jughead.

The room was so quiet I could hear a pin drop. Jughead put his hands on either side of my characters waist boxing her in so she couldn’t move. She looked up at him with pink tinged cheeks holding eye contact with Jughead.  Neither moved for a moment until she reached a hand up pushed a piece of Jughead’s hair out of his face.

He leaned into her touch and smiled at her lovingly. My character rested her hand on the nape of Jughead’s neck and started pulling his head down to hers. Right when they were about to kiss a knock rang out at the door of Jughead’s house.

“That was intense as hell,” Camila muttered from behind us. “I think I’m gonna need a cold drink to calm myself down,” she said fanning herself. The whole cast and crew laughed

“Yea the sexual tension between you two in that scene was insane,” Lili added. “I see why the fans ship you guys so hard.”

I nodded in agreement. “I know they’re cute together aren’t they,” I said looking back at the screen.

“No that’s not what I meant,” Lili said causing me to turn back around.

“Then what did you mean?” I asked sounding confused.

“You and Cole,” she said simply. “The fans ship you two together and I see why. That scene you guys were just in, seemed too real to be just acting.”

KJ handed me his phone. “Here, read some of the replies I got on this picture I posted of you two earlier.”

I grabbed the phone skeptically and held it between Cole and I. The picture was of us earlier watching the finale with my head on Cole’s shoulder and his arm around me. The replies were all along the lines of ‘(Ship/Name) lives’ or ‘they’re so cute together I’m crying’.

“Can you believe this?” I asked Cole handing KJ back his phone.

He shrugged his shoulders. “I mean I was shocked when I first heard about it but what are we gonna do about it?”

“Wait first heard about it? How long has this been a thing?” I asked looking at everyone in the room.

“It started to gain traction around the 6th episode. Maybe the 7th,” Camila answered. Everyone nodded in agreement.

“Wow,” I sighed leaning back against the couch. “I must be a much better actress than I thought.”

Cole laughed and ruffled my hair. “It takes two to tango (Y/N),” he said. “We’re just that good of a team.”

I smiled at him and stood up with a groan. “Alright, who wants a ride home? I’ll take 3 people since half of ya’ll aren’t fit to drive right now. At Casey.” Cole and Casey raised their hands. “Aight let’s bounce. Peace homies,” I said waving goodbye.

“Spoken like a true millennial (Y/N),” Cole said as we left Camila’s apartment.

The roads were pretty much empty at this time of night so it didn’t take longer than 10 minutes for me to drop Casey off at his place. That left Cole and I in the car alone, his face being illuminated by overhead street lights every other second.

“I think we could have some fun with this,” I said breaking the silence.

“Fun with what?” he asked looking over at me.

I glanced into the rear view mirror and switched lanes. “Fun with the fact that the fans ship us so much.”

“Really?” he said sounded surprised. “Never knew you had a devious side to you (Y/N)”

“Oh you know what I mean Cole. When I was younger all I did was read books and watch TV so I understand where they’re coming from. I used to stay up until all hours of the night blogging and speculating about every little thing that happened between people I shipped together. And I enjoyed every minute of it I had such a good time, fandoms are like family.”

“Nerd,” Cole scoffed, laughing slightly.

I punched him in arm jokingly. “I’m serious! C’mon it’ll be fun!” I said dragging out the last word. “We have a sleuth of interviews coming up now that season 1 has aired and we’re not filming anything. It’ll make answering the same questions over and over again fun.”

“Well how could I pass on an opportunity to flirt with such a pretty girl for months on end,” Cole replied grinning at me.

I clapped my hands on the steering wheel in excitement. “Yay! This gonna be so fun Cole just you wait.”

See, in Miami, it's never cute to be the first person at the party, and really the party never ends until someone actually says it does... And clearly the Riverdale Party is still very much in full swing. So consider this 10th Entry 'Riverdale Revisit'; the after party to end all after parties. Of course, we're going to be set up for S2 when it goes live. This is definitely not one of the tv shows that Spotlight Saga will be dropping in the coming, world famous, 'fall tv' season frenzy. But don't get it twisted, there are many on the chopping block... OUR chopping block. We're looking at what gets our blood pumping and our thoughts racing, giving us something more to talk about than "Last Night on ___insert uninspired show number #45 here___." 'Riverdale' has made a massive stir across social media and of course on The CW & their worldwide dominating partner, Netflix, as well. I love that due to streaming, the new large amounts of cash pouring in from its subsequent deals, and actually several generations full of 'cord cutters', there are no longer rules to watching and writing about television series and films... Get to them when you can, some will watch them live, some will stream them later, some will wait until they can binge them all at once like a Weekend Warrior with a pocket full of Ecstasy and a head full of hallucinogens. It's our world now, and CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX, and more (or less) importantly 'Nielsen Holdings', no longer control what, when, where, why, and how much. Smell that? That's the sweet smell of change... And the remnants of murder and sticky maple syrup, obvi. Ive been extremely careful not to overpraise 'Riverdale' in the past. Similar series have only led to frustration or feelings of complete frustration. Its hard to know what to expect from a show like this in the near future... We all saw the demise of similar series like 'Pretty Little Liars' and other shows that run through the same type of vein... Kind of like many of the other ones attempted over at the now defunct ABC Family where PLL first started. Like The WB, UPN, and now The CW, ABC Family has also gone through a newly rebranding process that didn't do much to help the sinking ship they now call Freeform TV... A network that only 'The Fosters' and its cheesy sister show 'Shadowhunters' seem to be keeping afloat. We aren't being negative, we're being real... And when you're at a party, or in this case, 'After Party', you've got to be real. You just gotta... Even if no one ever wanted the party in the first place. If you don't know what I mean, let me spell it out for you. Ready? Set? Spell! Ah fuck it, we'll just spill the tea... 'Let's have a Kiki! Lock the doors tight!' I sometimes wonder if my obscure pop culture references I often sneak into these articles ever actually connect. They probably don't, but to that one person that got it, FUCK YEAH! It's the birthday of Jughead (Cole Sprouse)... And much like the very similar, fellow female counterpart, Sheila the She-Wolf, another introverted style character from 'Riverdale's sister show on Netflix, 'GLOW'... Jughead is not really into parties and/or making a big fuss about a birthday or bringing any unnecessary & unwanted attention to his person. Unfortunately for Betty (Lili Reinhart), Jughead isn't really big on camaraderie, most definitely not in the spirit equivalent to the 'Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling'! The reasons behind throwing these two characters' each their own impromptu birthday bashes on their respective tv shows are done for totally different reasons. With 'GLOW', it was slightly annoying at first (for Sheila, anyway), but eventually it turned from an apprehensive & anxiety filled event to a touching, sweet moment, where a closed off character had a major breakthrough that was captured in the perfect beam of light, allowing a significant development and enabling an insight into another character's backstory, bringing the whole cast together for the most part. In a great juxtaposition, on 'Riverdale', the psychology behind this one is actually much, much different... It's still got the 'trepidatious yet possible potential for a surprise moment of gratification' aspect down to a certain degree, but it doesn't go down the path of the balmy & charming. The reasoning behind Betty's sudden obsession to give Jughead the party that he never wanted, and the background as to why he's so against the idea in the first place certainly doesn't inspire camaraderie or any kind of 'feel good' moments, especially at the party itself. If anything, the intent is slightly bordering on the side of creepy. Riverdale?! Creepy?!? Yup! Keep up! It's only getting creepier. You see... We've been up on 'Riverdale' and then back down, and then back up and down again... And I think everyone here will openly admit that it's mostly due to a shaky CW track record, as well as similar networks just like it, though there has been a few inconsistencies outside of this oddball tone & beautiful color scheme we're always raving about. However, when the show fully embraces its complete and total anomalous, almost freakish eccentricities, we all just fall right back in love with the show again. It's episodes like 'Chapter 10: The Lost Weekend' that completely make us forget about past network follies and shows like PLL completely losing their way after gaining our trust and enthusiasm in its beginning stages. Reinhart is effortlessly serving up 'Bizarre, Bilateral, Betty Bananas' like a full-on, award ready, seasoned vet. Seriously, I don't want to blow too much smoke up the kid's ass, but I'm pretty sure her breakthrough performance here would even make the likes of decorated actress such as Nicole Kidman proud. Betty Cooper has a duality that Reinhart not only highlights with strong, hearty performances... But it's also the efforts of Director Dawn Williamson, a phenomenal Art Department (you guys KICK MAJOR ASS), Cinematographer Stephen Jackson (this guy was award-worthy in this episode), and Costume & Wardrobe (hell, everyone involved in the smallest, minute details) framed from shot to shot... The absurdity of how tight & perfectly situated her ponytail is, how hard she clenches her hands (leaving scratch marks on her palms), even the way she holds the cake & dawns the signature 'Jughead Crown', to whoever made the call of having those weirdo party goers in horse masks in the background - Good call, guys! That was freaking CRAZY! It's all those little things that make the picture such a pleasure to watch... Turning what seems like a normal teen drama at first glance, to a finely tuned, surprisingly compelling theatrical spectacle. The crazy is in full on abundance, though... It's not just Betty. Suddenly after a string of a few disappointing episodes, I come back after a break and either see things in a totally different light, or it could be that this was just slowly building right under our noses the whole time, or *the most plausible of all three options* is that the ironically lowest rated episode of the series, according to the great analysts over at Nielsen, is actually the most technically sound, character driven, insanely atmospheric entry of the entire 1st Season. Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes) finally lets go of some deep resentments she's been bottling up and goes after Cheryl Blossom (Madelaine Petsch). This is a task that I wouldn't suggest to any person of sound or capable mind to attempt in any way, shape, fashion, or form. The act is crazy in and of itself, and pissing off the 'Ravishing Redhead' that literally wears the letters 'HBIC' on the back of her cheerleading uniform, that's 'Head Bitch in Charge' for anyone too young or too old to remember Tiffany Pollard of VH1's 'I Love New York', is obviously going to lead to a backlash that Veronica won't likely forget. Sure she might get her big 'W' now, but we must remind you... There's no 'W' in 'HBIC'. Meanwhile, Cole Sprouse & Skeet Ulrich, who plays Serpent Gangster FP Jones & Jughead's father on the show, are literally close to actually convincing me that they are really father and son in real life. The little ticks and nuances that they share are out of this fn' world insane. Either these two have spent a week in a trailer together mirroring their every move or we seriously need to ring in Maury Povich for a DNA Test! Oh, and apparently there's some guy on the show named Archie Andrews (KJ Apa)... The only drawback is that they've failed to make the main protagonist (is he tho?) even remotely interesting. He's good looking, but he's not a convincing redhead, and I'm still not hooked into his arc. Hey, that's ok... Enter Mary Andrews (Molly Ringwald - ChaChing!), Archie's long lost mother. So nice of you to finally drop in, Molly! Fred Andrews (Luke Perry) is ready to finalize the divorce, but we're just biting on all the possibly juicy dramatic scenarios! Who is Archie again? Back at the party, that burgeoning rivalry between Veronica and Cheryl hits its boiling point when Veronica gets a bit too carried away and accuses Cheryl and her deceased brother Jason (Trevor Stines) of having an incestious affair. Ah, gotta love seedy underbelly of the United States! The more money, the crazier the family!!! Oh but there's more! Good ol' All-American Chuck (Jordan Calloway), who actually WAS almost boiled alive, attempts to out Betty on her 'Dr. Jeckyl/Ms. Hyde' issue that surfaced when a hot tub prank got a bit too out of hand earlier in the season. To our surprise, and viewer delight, Jughead and his Dad actually had a moment, which was completely unexpected, yet felt completely real. Like I said before, Ulrich & Sprouse have stellar chemistry, and the writers seem to know this and obviously derive great pleasure in giving us this moment where the two aren't at total odds and Jughead not only carefully considers, but actually takes his biological father's advice... Providing solid proof that the series isn't trying to meander or stretch out any unnecessary storylines at all. No disrespect to fans of other series broadcast on The CW, but clearly this isn't 'The Flash'. These storylines seem to be heading into important territory at a reasonable pace, and not just hanging around to fulfill an episode number requested by an executive to make sure ad-space quotas are filled... Although I have considered that this could be an issue that the show could run into in its expanded 22-Episode Run that it's been greenlit for S2. There's plenty of juicy drama to go around, but when we see that drama making moves instead of being drawn out, then you know you've got a potentially good show on your hands. For now, 'Riverdale' is back on a solid trajectory, delivering what appears to be a set-up episode for the impending S1 finale... A set-up episode that was easily the most consistent entry to date from start to finish. The impression that an episode as good as this exists to move its characters like chess pieces, seemingly just to put everyone in place for the final three episodes is an exciting notion for the last 3 hours of S1 of 'Riverdale' to come!

Riverdale is the Most Stylish Show on Television

You should probably watch Riverdale. If you like small town murder, retro aesthetic and trashy teen drama, you should absolutely watch Riverdale. If you don’t have the same appreciation for that combination as I do though, you should still probably watch it. Soon, if you can. Not because it’s flawless (oh, it’s flawed) or because all the characters are complex and nuanced (oh boy are they not) or because the writing is always smart and deft (oh dear me), but because Riverdale has something television could use a lot more of. Style.

I’m not talking about the pseudo-lynchian vibe or the way the town itself feels stuck decades in the past despite a modern setting, though those are both part of it. I’ve heard the show described as both a Twin Peaks-like and a poor man’s Stranger Things, and while neither of those classifications are entirely wrong, I think they do Riverdale’s unique contributions to the medium a disservice. Where these other shows cemented themselves in sci-fi and cosmic horror, Riverdale feels almost gothic. It never touches the level of John Carpenter nostalgia of the latter, nor the shiver-inducing surreal quality of the former. What it does do is look very, very pretty.

Riverdale’s spectacular use of color shows from frame one, when two red-headed teens in snow-white garb appear on screen and walk slowly towards a shimmering waterline. The whole scene jumps. Pulses. Vibrates. And it only gets better from there. From the neon-lit booths of Pop’s Chock’lit Shoppe to the snowy maple woods of the Blossom family syrup empire, the entire show oozes style like sap from a vein. Even simple shots – a house, a car, a bedroom – blast out brilliantly, whites on reds on greens, subtle sepia tints, perfect architectural symmetry. It’s gorgeous.

And the style doesn’t stop at the colors. It reaches from the 80s synth underscoring and the dreamlike flashbacks to Cole Sprouse’s gloomy teenage narration. Riverdale could not have a more appropriate name, as the town itself quickly becomes the show’s most intriguing and dynamic character.

Now it doesn’t all work all the time. The slow motion football plays and cheer squad numbers feel like they fell out of alternate universe where Zach Snyder directs teenage romcoms, much of the dialogue falls painfully short of that beautiful, so-scripted-it’s-perfect high school zen that Buffy the Vampire Slayer played off so deftly, and it can be hard to distinguish when the drama is parody from when it’s just bad writing. Make no mistake, Riverdale does not succeed in all its ambitions. But damn if it ain’t something to look at.

Of course there are other shows that gain major props on behalf of their style, but they don’t quite hit the same marks. For all they’re comic book inspiration, Arrow, Supergirl and The Flash just don’t leap and dance the way Riverdale does. Game of Thrones has incredible production values and a gloriously realized world. No one would argue that. But the goal of that world and that production is to make a fantastical place feel grounded. The same can be said of HBO’s Westworld. This is not a knock against them. I have a strong love for Westworld, and of course these shows have moments of incredible grandeur. But their main objective, at which they succeed, is realism in the midst of total unreality.

Riverdale’s goal is the opposite. It takes the Archie Comics universe of girl-next-door Americana and makes it feel like some beautiful, wild fantasy world of biker gangs and shady businessmen. It’s ridiculous. Sometimes so much that you’ll laugh. But ultimately, the vision of the storytelling and the talent of the cast make it feel fresh and exciting. So please watch Riverdale. TV’s never looked this good.

Ok so I’d say I have two. The first is the first rp I was every in. It was a PCA rp and it was honestly the very best I have never had more fun in an rp or made such a solid group of friends while I was in it. Also any peeps who were in this hit me up and let me love you. The second was a new york city rp and that’s where I gave birth to one of my favorite muse of all time and everyone was so adorable and sweet and I miss it everyday. We had the coolest events like next generation weeks where we played as out muse’s kids and idk it was just a really poppin rp and I wish it would make a come back one day.

that damn 1D rp I was in where they killed me off. I answered a question about it a while ago and tbh I don’t always like talking about it because it was that bad like almost traumatic. It feels weird that there are only two males on this list since I usually prefer to play males but I guess I just really like Louis and Cole. For a while in like 2012 I was super into playing Lucy Hale, like I only played her. I had some really good times with her. Funniest would have to be like half the stuff from that PCA rp. Sometimes things just got playfully trolly like idk what even happened all the time. Once there was a dance event and mine and another character who was played by my best friend, we made them pretend like they were high. They weren’t we just made them act like it. Idk why it was so funny for us but it was. Also just a lot of funny stuff ooc.

Honestly I’m a basic bitch and like basic ass plots. But I guess a few cool ones I like are well done soulmate ones, like there was an rp where soul mates had matching tattoos and that kind of just a trope Im into. Also hollywood rps where you do things to gain fans and you get to do cool stuff when you reach a certain level and like having tasks specific to the different professions. Also there was this cool rp not too long ago where it was based on a netflix show and the actors but it went into detail with the different characters in the show and like they gave plot synopsis for each episode and it was just super detailed. There are some more cool one’s I’ve seen but they were super detailed and I don’t feel like trying to explain them.
