The three instinctively share a look between them as Will speaks up. Mulder had told them that Will was particular, and they had done their own research into his background and knew to tread lightly. Langley shrugs right before Frohike acknowledges Graham's eye contact with a smile.

"Sure we do. Big Boss felt that you would be the safest place to keep this with." The older man reached into his black shoulder bag, pulling out a manila envelope properly sealed with scotch tape, "Wouldn't tell us what was in it besides paperwork. All of this is sort of hush-hush at the moment."

"We tried looking into it with some of our high powered equipment, but Mulder knows us: he managed to seal it in a way where we couldn't look through." It wasn't the first time Mulder made sure the three of them weren't privy to the information they were handing off. Government secrets and all that and also as a means for protecting them from unwanted attention but it still stung a little when it happened.

generally, will enjoys when others fill the silence for him, allow him to take a backseat from the conversation and OBSERVE. he learns far more that way. and so, they're given space to ramble on for some time and he does listen. but eventually, it's got to come to an end. he'd just read about the damn game later.

"alright, that's— that's enough, there aren't enough hours in the day for this." tone wearied and irritated, as non-confrontational as he can be about telling them to shut up. if they weren't important to fox, they'd get more bite with their bark. he takes a few steps forward and grants frohike the privilege of eye contact.

then, softer, respectfully, "you have something for me?"

"So, Agent Scully, that Black Friday deal work out well for you?"

"Truthfully, a lot of this was Mulder's idea." Langley pipes up, sitting up from behind the two of them, crossing his arms over the back of the chair he was sitting improperly in, "Something to do with the 1987 classic 2D stealth Konami computer game for the MSX2."

"Metal Gear." Frohike is quick to steal the thunder from his friend, which earns him a bit of a look, "I think he thinks he's being rather clever but the implications behind him being Big Boss and not Snake are rather interesting."

"Well that's the thing," Byers finally interjects, "see Big Boss is Snake. Naked Snake. The man that you're thinking of, the protagonist of the series, Solid Snake, is David and-"

Uh, oh boy, looks like you got the group on a bit of a tangent, Will.

"foxhound..." will repeats, tasting the moniker on his tongue. "understood, big shell." he thinks, if mulder were here, they would share a glance right now, stifling their smiles. "how was FOXHOUND decided?" what had they heard about him, he wonders?
