so picture Gale eventually dropping the glamor and everyone either doesn't say anything because it isn't their business, they straight up don't care, or they are quietly supportive/happy for him

but then Astarion finds out, sees his de-glamored, softer body, and he is pissed

"We have a half a dozen things want to kill us at any given moment, and you were using your energy on a glamor spell? When you look like that? I didn't think you were that particular brand of idiot."

To which Gale is Massively Offended because EXCUSE you, and they end up snapping at each other and getting in an argument

and then later Gale is in his tent fuming remembering the argument but then goes. Wait a Fucking Second

now im also still thinking about tma dnd au.... mostly i agree with jonny&alex' assignments. Signing a contract to work in the Archives is really signing a pact with the Eye, so everyone there multiclasses in warlock, but only Jon really gains levels in it because of all the xp he gets by reading statements. Tim is a fighter, Sasha a 'real' wizard, Martin a bard who performs poetry instead of playing an instrument, says he studied at the College of Lore, but really he's self-taught and not even level 3 in bard.

Species though. i mostly drew Jon as a tiefling cause i wanted to give him horns but really, a tiefling would be preoccupied with whether or not he's turning into a monster. Sasha can just be human, and i think Tim is a half-elf, charismatic, easily fitting in with most crowds.

On the one hand i want Martin to be tall. but on the other. he just is a halfling. easily underestimated, typically caring, not very fast, not easily immobilized by fear, and, considering how little he gets hurt or wounded compared to tma's other characters, definitely a certain kind of lucky

Minthara's DIVINE STRIKE is sexy as hell, we all agree. But have we considered her suffering the weapon drop attack, and then just GRABBING the enemies head, and her hands are both glowing form the DIVINE STRIKE that's activated and .. that's it. That's the thought, Minthara performing DIVINE STRIKE with her bare hands.

my durge multiclassed into an oath of the ancients paladin at level 10 so I got to start smiting at level 11 and the first person I got to smite was a random bhaalist in the under city that recognized me, called me a heretic, and attacked me. turning around and just divine smiting them to death felt good actually I hope it made Jaheira proud of me

i love sincerely love working with dungeon meshi's magic system and the way mana sickness is depicted, like it has the breadth and scope for some truly powerful and wacky fun shit, but you can also easily bring down the hammer when you want to put the characters in difficult situations they can't get out of without a little creativity. i found when writing for baldur's gate 3 that, unless i was in a modified setting, i was hard-pressed thinking up fun ways for characters to solve their problems without just using magic, especially for the small things. i mean, what fun is throwing a character into a river and needing to warm them up when you can just cast prestidigitation?? it's one of the first things a novice can learn and also it's a cantrip, it literally costs nothing!
