   The absence of fear in Alexios should be concerning to anyone but most especially to Dakota. He stays right where he is with the dagger still pointed at the other’s man chest right where he knows his heart is. That heart. The one that he missed the beat of every single night they were separated, the one that he was getting to learn again now that they were once again together. The one that kept his love cradled to itself even when Dakota had tried to move on without him. Dakota was a fool to think he could at the time but he did try.

   He watches as the tip of the blade pierces the fabric of Alexios’ shirt front and visibly winces himself as he watches a bead of red make a flower of the same color slowly blossom. A knife was too much power to give him. Far too much.

  “Shut up,” he says and withdraws the point away from his lover. “Before I take your tongue out instead.”

    The malice the words would have is not present though because Dakota is blushing just the same as he places the knife to reconnect with its keeping box again. He moves to step closer to Alexios now, arms coming up to loosely wrap about his shoulders and bring them nearer; hips to hips, legs framing each other’s, chests apart only so they can still see each other as Dakota says, “I’ll stay.”

   He leans more then the action meaning to draw the other into a kiss but he stops just short of it. Like a hush over water before a storm he continues, “But you’re going to have to seduce me again.The knife was a good start~”

    Then he’s drawing away again to turn and walk out of the weapons room and out into the main area.

    Watching his eldest assess his appearance in the large mirror Eros simply shakes his head. Alexios loves his bizarre house shoes, bless him. The god can only imagine the quiet inner turmoil that lives inside Dakota every time he sees them on his boyfriend. Eros will remember to send him a sympathy order of flowers to deal with the sight of them. Still, the sight of his son’s consistency with them makes Eros laugh a bit.

  “And this suit���” he asks as he looks at his son’s reflection along with him. “Might I inquire as to the occasion?”

    He likes asking about such things. His son isn’t a mystery really, there’s lots that’s readily known but Eros finds that he likes to not know everything at all times about what he’s doing. His eyes travel to the sleeves of the suit jacket and make sure they are the right length before he’s smiling wider.

She knew the name, she'd seen the face and she probably knew more about him than he did of her and now, it seemed fate had put him in her life again. "Oh, really?" An eyebrow rose at his statement.

He was Alexios.

Eros' son.

Noel's friend.

A demigod.

A killer.

The man that gave her her freedom.

She didn't doubt him. Not after everything he'd done for her and Noel. "Something tells me you'd rather raise hell from the start." To say she was grateful was an understatement, and she knew better than to underestimate the man that put the abomination that called himself her (and Noel's) owner six feet under, so the girl didn't question his ability to bend the heavens or raise the flames of hellfire as he saw fit. "You don't seem like a 'heaven is nice' kinda guy."

     He was strange, but he was also relatively pleasant.

     Alexios, she had learned his name was that, was not only bizarre but remarkably closely tied to a great many of people that either frequented or work within her business or was a friend to someone of someone in those categories. The ten degrees of separation was truly a map she would have to invest in learning within the city as it seemed, though it was massive in its own way, it was also wickedly small. 

   The place she was in now was one that this young man owned and with it’s meticulous attention to detail it was not a surprise. Malea’s eyes gave a curious once over of the man and noted that while he gave a relaxed demeanor outwardly, he too was very concise in everything about him. His outfit, the way that his hair was styled, and even the information that he did choose to share was carefully curated to the receiver. He had an image he placed out and that, and only that, was what you were getting.

   “Dakota,” she says, “I will ask him at some point. I have met with him only once to confirm an emergency contact for someone who works in my care, but he seems an interesting one. Tell me, has he always been so…”

   Malea searches for the nicest way she can say it. Finding nothing that suffices in the language they are currently sharing between them she crosses her arms over her chest and rolls back her shoulders creating a half scowl on her features that is nearly a copy of Dakota’s resting bitch face.

Hera was scribbling hastily along the pages of paperwork that had to go through all the council hands before being approved when there was a knock on her office door. Normally she kept it open so that everyone would feel comfortable coming and speaking to her when she was in the city hall. This day, however, she needed to focus on her work so the door was closed. The goddess called out to whoever knocked to enter and looked up to greet them. Her eyes landed on the face of a demigod whose file she had on her desk for some time. She’d heard he was friends with her husband, along with also being apart of some inner pantheon drama.

The goddess had done some asking around and even took to the island gossip blog for information and honestly, she was quite appalled by what Alexios had done. She was also frustrated by his arrival and the drama that had caused. However, this was her council office so she decided to start by being polite, the scolding she had planned could wait until she knew why he’d graced her with his presence, to begin with.

She gave him a polite and kind smile before beckoning him further in. “Hello, Alexios. What brings you in to see me, dear?”

❝ Santa Baby ❞ — Alexios produced a small pouch that encased a simple bracelet that matched Jimin's. He thought that it would be nice to give the twins matching gifts even though he had just only met Jimin's twin, Eiji, recently. "Merry Christmas. I hope you like it!"

  At first, Eiji doesn’t take the box right away from Alexios. He doesn’t hate him by any means but he’s heard a thing or two and his jury is still out on this guy. Though... he is rather kind to his brother and that does give him a fair degree of merit. Accepting the gift he opens it immediately and offers up a small gasp in surprise at the contents of the little box.

   It’s not too flashy and not too plain as it sits pretty in the little box; a bracelet that matches his twin’s. For a brief second the guard that Eiji always has up drops and he makes the softest of chuckling sounds. “This..it matches--” he doesn’t finish the sentence and doesn’t really need to. He’s just touched that someone thought about him this season that wasn’t just Jimin. Bringing his eyes up Eiji for the first time looks like he might be softer than his demeanor gives away.

  “Hey man,” he says in gratitude, “Thank you. This means a lot to me right now.” Nimbly he plucks it from the little nest and goes to slip it on. “Jimin was right about you.”

     “Babe!” Dakota’s voice rings in the walls of the house as he goes flying down the stairs with Alexios in hot pursuit behind him. “QUIT PLAYIN’!” But he definitely doesn’t mean it.

     They’ve been snowed inside the new house with the fortresses of boxes of new unbuilt furniture, books stored away to be rediscovered once the cardboard confines are opened and the pets that Dakota has reclaimed after telling Eros that he swears he won’t ditch out again. No matter what. The bobcat that Pan gave him years ago? Still got it and still getting used to it as he goes flying by its sleeping form and through the semi-empty living room. He races through the house with his beloved behind him, shrieking to high heaven to drown out the icy silence of the outside world.

    He stops on one side of the kitchen, near the large hearth he had custom built to catch his breath and hold up his hands for a pause. “Wait, wait, wait! My phone— someone is texting me! I swear this time!”

   Dakota holds up his phone and sure enough there are a few notifications that he hasn’t answered because they were killing time by playing tag. It really doesn’t matter your age, when bored, play tag— just add extra rules ! The blizzard outside spurred the council to demand for a shelter-in-place and while it does worry him for those outside their homes, there’s nothing Dakota himself can do so—-

  He laughs and answers a few messages as he watches from the corner of his eyes as Alexios attempts to slowly creep closer. “Motherfucker, I still see you!”

“No, you heard what you wanted to out of what I did say to you, but I expect nothing less you complete brat.” Eros laughs as he picks up his younger son, Evander from Alexios’ arms. “You got that from me and your good looks from your mother, I’m sure.”

He kisses the cheek of Evander before setting him down again so he can run off. “They weren’t too much were they? I know they have been wired since yesterday but I told them to try to take it easy on you.”

The god means Alexios’ half siblings, Cordelia and Evander, whom he left in his eldest’s care for the last hour and forty-four minutes while he ran to help a charge across town.

"Life here definitely is something." Bothering Alexios was always fun for Noel as they knew each other in a different light than most others did. He was one of the bridges the inked man did not burn when he too left his previous life behind. Only people like them would understand (or maybe not?) why they did the things they did, and why they chose not to do them anymore. Noel chuckles as he too indulges in his drink, giving into the way it losened his tense muscles.

It was just a habit, being cautious. One he hoped he'd be able to break eventually.

"Shit, you told him?" Noel knew better than most what an angry Dakota looked like after being on the receiving end of it more times than he'd like to admit, so Alexios managing to talk to him about his life outside of the island was no small feat. "I see he didn't take it too badly, considering you're in one piece." He teased the older man as he reached to refill his empty glass. "Do you regret not telling him before?"

Judgement | Alexios & Hades

(...) Alexios took a deep breath as he shoved his hands in his pockets, "I will tell you everything if you want me to and leave no details behind because I have nothing to hide. I can't take back what I've done, but I can reflect and learn from them," he paused before continuing, "As far as my feelings for Dakota and what I plan on that, I will always love him and he will have a special place in my heart, but I know it's time for me to let go and let him have the happiness he deserves. I can't give him what he needed then, and I know now that I won't be able to do that now. Even if I was given a chance, I wouldn't take it. I can't put him through even more shit than I already have. I think Santino is a great guy, and I'm very jealous of him, not just because of Dakota, and I believe that is why my childish antics even surfaced after everything that I tried."

Alexios addresses him with sir, and if he were any other person this sign of respect would have already softened Hades’ dislike of him, but as it is it has very little impact and Hades’ eyes are still dark with his anger. It’s not like he purposefully walked over to Alexios’ house to have this conversation, of course, but coming across the young demigod so unexpectedly, he’d found himself unable to ignore the dislike that instantly sprouted in his chest as well as the anger that bubbled up to the surface once more.

If Alexios were anyone else, he’d possibly already not be alive anymore. As it is, it is solely the fact that Eros is Hades’ best friend that’s keeping the heart beating inside the boy’s chest. Doesn’t mean that Hades is about to hold back. Even as Alexios is still speaking, the dark in his eyes churns into a much deeper black and his entire demeanour changes. The façade he keeps up to fit in better with the humans, to seem more likeable and approachable, now falls away completely. And though he doesn’t physically change and nothing’s visibly different, the atmosphere around them turns cold and dark, the air seemingly thick and heavy to breathe.

He is no longer Hades, the friendly and somewhat goofy Greek guy who enjoys a good laugh and exchanges pleasantries with his colleagues and customers at the Honeypot. Instead he is Hades, god of the Underworld, who judges the souls of the dead and throws them into the pit of eternal damnation or allows them the gentle reprieve of the ever after. And perhaps it would not be so threatening a thing, were it not that Alexios’ soul, like every other Greek one, is tethered to him like he’s the beacon guiding them home. Eventually, he will be, too.

“You are lucky your father is a million times the man you’ll ever be,” he says when the boy finally stops talking, his voice low and cold, filled with that same threat of eternal damnation that is thick in the air around them as well. His gaze speaks of judgement beyond anything the god might possibly feel for the boy in question, and he keeps Alexios pinned under it with no relenting. “Or you’d be dead already.” Slightly to his left, a Hellhound appears into being as if summoned by the power emanating from the Greek god, pressing it’s head gently into his open palm, before blood red eyes focus on the young demigod as well. He hardly seems to notice its presence, still focused fully on Alexios.

“You make one more wrong move, boy, and no ancestors will be able to save your soul again.”
