so i've had a couple people point out now that i could use bugs -and yeah, thinking on it i could do this:

Susie is like, hey you coward wanna go thru this haunted house (skeleton brother's abandoned house)

(messes with machine, it sets off, causes a chain reaction with the core, now the universe is unstable) Oops

But hey we don't realize that right off the bat so everyone leaves, shaken up but unaware of what they've done

Chara goes to garden with asgore, is frustrated and uses a gardening Trowel, which hey, that's Kinda A Knife Right? creates a garden themed darkworld.

kids regroup, Chara is stuck as a ghostly narrator.

Feylow is this universe's Ralsei equivalent. Helps guide them and explains things.

Because this happens at Asgore's shop, "Flower King," Royal (King?) is the big bad and wants to stop the Lightners from closing the dark fountain.

Flower, bug enemies*, garden gnomes, lots of fun stuff can be used, idk. i'll think hard about what can be done. I'm thinking this fangame chapter won't be as long as DR chapter 1, doesn't need to be SUPER big or complex

Chara confronts Ruler/King/Idk their name yet, gets the "I need to leave Asriel" message for self-growth

uhhhhhh the fact that the world is crumbling and getting influenced by deltarune, could be a mid-game twist that they're connecting. Ralsei can step in and be like "hey. you guys ): are screwing things up ))): " and will eventually adopt this darkworld's inhabitants.

* bugs probably shouldn't count BUT I AM counting it because flowers count as Feylow is a daffodil. this is my executive decision for the betterment of the story

as for spamton, i don't really see the spamton sweepstakes itself as canon but it kinda works as Spamton exists as a spam email. he's an email, he can be online.

and yea fruit would count, Pumpkin can exist as a sentient pumpkin.

though idk, she doesn't really fit the theme of this area (cowgirl doesn't really fit gardens, unless its like, a cactus area) nor the story really? (not that anyone would know this) but she works as a good foil to someone who's very bitter to the world. Feylow already fits that role.

Sadly Pumpkin won't be in AFR 😭😭😭 i WILL find a way to add her into something SOMEDAY. i am forever sad until then.

anyway i'm not... the happiest with connecting this to DR, but if I'm having the garden BE Asgore's shop again, then it has to be a Chara-Made-Actual Darkworld and not an artificial one that Gaster made in the past.

Gaster is the root cause of this but it's all done post-humorously and never directly. We get implications that he messed with darkworlds and time/space but it's never "hoho i'm the man who speaks with hands i'm scary goop guy!!!!!!" like the man is Nonexistent. He GONE. i guess I COULD have him appear but i literally already tried that last time and it sucked ass tbh.

Still feeling 😑over ralsei popping up but like, the alternative is that the fountain is closed and the garden's life becomes non-sentient again. like imagine being a worm, becoming a person with a lived history, then becoming a worm again. it'd be so fucked up.

tho i gotta wonder how tf is this going to impact the lightworld. How much do they know of this multi-verse shenanigans? cause the tumblr!AFR has them being missing. But if there's giant smoke clouds over Monsterland I'd imagine Chara + friends being missing would be contributed to them investigating rather than dipping out

It’s time for more verses for Vita that i’ve been meaning to work on.

Deltarune tag: Now i see’ We were never meant to be (Deltarune verse ~ Vita)

Born and raised in a hyper religious village on the ocean coasts far from the small town of ebott where she now resides, Vita was a well behaved, sweet girl. Known well for her obedience to her parents and their wishes for how they wanted her life to go, she followed this without question for a long time which is why she ended up bethrothed to Orinda once they were both of age and spending a hellishly long time in his clutches as he wasn’t a good person, far from it and all she can do is thank her lucky blessings that she never got pregnant by him, one of his main goals for her after all in his eyes. That was her duty as his wife.

She escaped with the help of a practical stranger named drusil, a visitor to her village, she knew perhaps she shouldn’t have been so trusting but when help was offered. What else could she do but accept? so she did and fled with drusil’s help, Travelling the countryside while doing her best to avoid the pursuits of her family and scorned husband who would not simply accept HIS wife fleeing from him, especially not with another guy. Involving moving a lot and feeling unable to trust anyone, For a time she and drusil were happy, as happy as they could be in their circumstances and they got together. It was never public, always in the quiet private of their own home wherever that might have been at the time.

and though she hadn’t intended it, She got pregnant and though stressed, she was overjoyed, Excited to tell drusil about their child yet she never got the chance. He didn’t come home that night and she was awoken in the morning. Sick with worry by a knock at the door that confirmed her worst fears, he was dead, they didn’t know how, it was always hard to tell with monsters. But the presumption was a robbery gone wrong, she couldn’t mention her real fears but they scared her enough that she spent the next two days packing up what was left of their life together and moving again, As far as she could which is how she ended up in Ebott. Trying to get as far from her old life as possible while grieving the loss of what could have been.

With it, she became one of the reclusive if kind nurses who worked at the small hospital and worked for most of her pregnancy. Inevitably giving birth to her and drusil’s son alone, A bittersweet moment for her despite the ultimate reward of her child. She stuck to ebott as a means of keeping her son in a stable environment, he’s one now and while she’s loosened up a little bit, she’s still wary, shy and on her guard with strangers as she still gets threatening messages from her family and her still technically legal husband who’s been searching for her as a full blown stalker. But she’s trying her best and it’s all she can do.

This Undyne is a total square. Still excitable, still passionate, but with more ‘narc’ in the mix. Being a transfer student at Hometown’s school, she's somewhat of an outsider compared to the rest of the students in her class. It's not a big concern to her, as she keeps herself busy participating in as many sports clubs as possible and keeping an eye on her younger brother. She even takes up babysitting gigs on the side. This fishy has aspirations of getting into law enforcement, just like her Pops.

She’s my main Deltarune verse. If any Deltarune canon characters/OCs interact with Undyne without specifying a verse or AU, I’ll use her.

Unlike her Undertale counterpart, both of Undyne’s biological parents survive and are present in her life. She refers to them as "Dad" and "Pops."

Undyne's opinion on humans is generally neutral-to-negative. Thanks to history lessons about the Humans vs. Monsters War, she knows they can harbor intense hatred towards monsters. But since meeting Kris -- her sole human friend -- they seem okay. That means humans can’t all be bad... right??

She eventually becomes hall monitor captain, in which her narc (”narciness”?) fully shines. XD

She is best buddies with Jockington. Naturally.

She's the only AU who has been to the Dark World, but only in the genocide version of the world. You can see DarkWorld!Undyne’s design here.

No, Undyne cannot summon spears in any of her Deltarune verses. Her only form of (Lightworld) magic is shadow-melding.

He just grabs their other hand as soon as he sees it. Mission failed. Knife and Knife 2 have been stopped. He is less than amused, as he just. Stares at them. Slow blink. Who’s child is this, anyway? Such a chaotic goblin baby. He will not be stabbed by this gremlin.

“No stabbing,” the Monster said, much more firmly. Though, his tone didn’t at all change.

Oh, how Asriel was thankful for the immense natural strength Boss Monsters had. He isn’t going to hold them so hard that it hurts, but he definitely isn’t going to let them go any time soon. At least not until he makes sure they won’t be stabbing. He’s also going to just… watch their other hand to be sure they don’t have Knife 2.

“No stabbing,” he says. He mostly just seems… done. Tired. Then again he is a college student…

Frisk on the other hand, was practically seething as they tried to escape from the boss monster’s grip. They wanted to stab something. They had the opportunity to stab something, but this was stopping them? Their former grin turned into a deep frown as they tried with all their strength to press their knife closer to the monster, and of course, they failed since he was clearly much stronger than them.

“Yes stabbing!” They countered. They certainly did have Knife 2. And a few more in their inventory. Their other hand darted into their pockets and pulled out a less powerful knife than their main one, but they still attempted a swing anyway.

so about that darkworld arc

continuing from my post earlier:

eghghh yeahhhh the darkworld arc was a jumbled mess and i think it was a fun experiment but ultimately wasn’t a great idea. don’t get me wrong, god it was frickin fun having you guys control kris around! but i don’t think i understood Deltarune as well as I do Undertale, and juggling a large cast of characters and the Tumblr Plays Kris format was far too much to tackle.

the general feedback is it was needlessly confusing. chara’s character arc has this pivital moment with Feylow that’s important, but it’s interrupted by the FUN Gang which doesn’t even get tot have their core main characters in place until like, the end of it, and even then kris and ralsei are barely in a room and other stuff is going on.

so, a formal apologies for how I ran it. the best parts of it were good despite of it, if that makes sense.

not sure how i’m going to get around it- the story does keep the darkworld relevant -Chara’s absence by multidimensional stuff is brought up frequently and important to why Asriel Freaked Out so much over them being missing. (Papyrus left the same way and never came back). I like the Feylow stuff and I’m not SURE how to get around that. the whole bit about Feylow changing and being a reflection -while not the best executed, was still really rewarding. i still adore that. I don’t know how to rework it, unless it were like, to be a darkworld within Undertale itself and really different. I’d even change Frisk’s storyline to be an original journey. (damn now I REALLY wish i just went with that instead... FUN Gang... 2!) 

I’m not sure how I’ll tackle replacing this arc. and i still think there’s merit to the non-feylow stuff too, I do dearly love the FUN gang but I just am not well versed/thought it through enough to make those arcs work. As said, people find it misplaced and distracting from AFR’s main story.

Well, it seemed that he’d had no reason to doubt his siblings description of him, after all. Though, that didn’t mean that he completely believed them about what he was like — he still had a few doubts about that, having never met the Bird Monster before. Even with as much faith as he had in Kris, he didn’t always want to believe what they said, especially when it came to other people. He had learned a lesson about that.

“You can help me, yes,” the Boss Monster confirmed, with a nod. Though, despite his sibling’s past with talking about how people were, he was still going to try to get how he really felt, even thoughthat meant talking badly about them, some, “I wanted to… talk to you about Kris.”

The Monster sat for another moment, relishing in Berdly’s very obvious fear. He wasn’t sure how much he believed him, just knowing that he had upset his sibling, but he knew Kris would tell him if he didn’t apologize. Maybe it wasn’t a good thing that he was getting so much enjoyment from how scared he was making Berdly. But, there was a bit of a beautiful irony to it — “bullying” the one who had bullied his sibling — and he definitely would appreciate that.

Another moment passed as he kept silent, keeping his grip on his shoulder. Then, he finally let them go, standing straight up again, and staring down at them. His cold smile faded, and turned to a more neutral expression. He had made his point.

“Don’t let me hear about you upsetting Kris again,” he said, after another moment, “for your own sake. I don’t care what you think about them; unless it’s something positive, you keep it to yourself.”

“You can go, now,” the Boss Monster said, after another moment.

It was rather rare for the Boss Monster to properly be able to pick up on the scent of someone’s emotions, but there were times when he could. Now, in fact, was one of those times. Although it was fairly faint, he could distinctly make out the smell of fear. But, it wasn’t like he was actively sniffing for it or anything. He had just caught it with his breathing.

It probably wasn’t very good that he was getting proper enjoyment out of seeing the Bird Monster scared like this, but at the moment, he didn’t care. He wanted to get a point across to him, and fear was a great way to deliver that. They had hurt his little sibling, after all. That at least justified some of what he was doing.

“Oh no,” he said, his cold smile growing as he found his apology amusing. He wasn’t very used to intimidating people, but right now he was just letting whatever he thought of out, “you’ll tell that to Kris next time you see them… and you will do better than just a pathetic “I’m sorry,” and you will not call them names anymore, joking or otherwise.”

Asriel squeezed on his shoulder a bit harder, as he gave a grave “do you understand?”

On the other hand, Berdly was completely not enjoying this at all. Of course, he had no reason to. He was practically being threatened by the ‘weird kid’s’ older brother. Albeit, for kind of bullying them, a little. But still. It was certainly not a fun moment for him, and that was what was important right now. The specifications of why this was happening and how he got into this mess in the first place could be overlooked in favour of his own feelings.

He didn’t believe he had done anything wrong. Or at least, he didn’t do anything that was that bad. At least it wasn’t like he punched Kris, or stole their lunch money, or whatever actual bullies do. Right? …No, that was a horrid attempt at rationalization yet again. Perhaps he did hurt Kris by doing what he did, even if he thought it wouldn’t do much damage at the time. They didn’t quite deserve it, maybe, but hey, at least he felt better after doing that. He truly was at odds with himself. But he pushed that aside to focus on being afraid of that smile Asriel had on his face as he spoke.

At the squeeze on his shoulder, he gulped yet again. He hated getting into trouble like this. He wasn’t supposed to get into trouble; he was one of the good students. Academically, at least. Not so much in the social sense. But he nodded anyway. 

“Alright. I will. I understand.” He mumbled. As much as he didn’t want to, he was the type of person who absolutely kept his word once he said it. He resented liars, and he most definitely preferred the truth, even when it was brutal honesty… towards others. Which was why he had no problem pointing out people’s faults, because it was simply the truth in his eyes. But he had standards and morals, and begrudgingly decided that yes, indeed, he was going to follow through with what Asriel asked of him. He glanced away. “…C-Can I go now?”
